Screen response slugish
My screen response is sluggish at times especially when touching contacts list etc. Is there anything I can do to improve this. Please help.
I have updated to 8.2 and I am also having "Screen Craziness" on my iPhone 6+ this morning.
When I turned my phone on this morning, the display is zoomed so that icons at the bottom of the vertical display are almost entirely cut off, and in the horizontal display those on one side are almost entirely cut off. I cannot use the on-screen keyboard because it is cut off on both sides. I went to the Display and Brightness setting and check to see that the Display zoom was set on Standard, then I moved it to Zoomed, then back to Standard. The display seems to be stuck on Zoomed. I powered off the phone, then started up again, no change after several tries. Cannot use the phone in this state. I feel sure this must be a bug in OS 8.2. It never happened before the upgrade.
I also note that I am experiencing a number of problems on my iPad mini which I also upgraded to 8.2 --- sudden shutdowns of hitherto reliable apps (like Kindle reader), dropped wi-fi and jerkiness.

My 3rd gen iPod touch has a very dim/dark screen and no screen response. I've restored it, still nothing, put a new screen and digitizer and still nothing. I've reset it a 1000 times and nothing works. Is there a way to fix this? It previously had "activation required" on the screen but now it just says "ipod" what do I do now?
Could be due to many things. You could have damaged something during the screen replacement. I would take it to someone with more experience.

I have been experiencing periodic loss of touch screen response with my iPhone 6 when in landscape mode. Flipping to portrait then back to landscape usually corrects it, but at times I need to close and reenter the app.
Hi McGannahanSkjellyfetti,
If you are experiencing difficulties with touchscreen response on your iPhone I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

I love the iPad, but the screen is driving me nuts. I find that the screen is MUCH less responsive than the iPhone.
Far too often I have to tap an app icon upwards of 5 times just to get the device to recognize that it has been tapped.
This also extends to entering a text field, selecting icons in an app's menu bar, even the keyboard.
VERY disappointing!!!Return you ipad it is defective!
Ipad should be waaay faster compared to iphone and screen should respond well !
Again... RETURN YOUR IPAD -
IPhone 3G screen response slowing down with OS updates
My iPhone is getting slower with every new update of the OS. Sliding bar, received SMS list...generally every screen presentation now takes 1 or more seconds to display. This has only slowed down after the last couple of OS updates. Not happy...it used to have an instant response. Is the new programming for the new iPhone 4 included slowing down the OS for iPhone 3G?
iOs4x definitely does slow down a 3G. The 3G just doesn't have a powerful enough processor.
One trick that seems to make a big difference is to switch off Spotleight indexing. Go to Settings, General, Spotlight Search amd deselect all items. -
IPad screen response diminished with iOS 7.04
Ever since the iOS 7 update was added, the response time to the touch screen has diminished. Sometimes, the screen seems to freeze for a second before there is a response. Sometimes, I actually check to see if my network is connected.
Deleting emails is the same. Touch the trash can and it used to go immediately. Now, there are times that I hit it a few times to delete the email.
This is very frustrating to the point that I am considering switching to another tablet.
iOS 7 was not ready and apple released it anyway.
Is anyone experiencing this? Does anyone have a solution?Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

One of our clients is accessing his ERP system through a satellite WAN. Could somebody please let me know the ideal respose time for an ERP screen accessed by a satellite at a bandwidth of 512 kbps for one user?
I don't think it has specific value for the response time, but it is slow definitely.
SAP Note 161053 has topic on SAPGui performance in WAN
Probably you need to get performance trace to get the average speed.

IMac screen response time?
I plan to do some gaming on the iMac. What is the screen's response time?
would depend on the model really
IPS panel typically have a better looking image then TN panels
but at least on paper TN panels always have a lower response time

Response time: 12 ms
http://www.apple.com/displays/specs.html
to get the max worst case fps with 12ms you to a 1/12ms == 83.33Fps
but if the lcd panel has a refreshrate of 60Hz that will set the max fps unless you disable v-sync
in which case you're inviting tearing to happen which is bad mmkey
all those things being said I game on my imac 21" 2011 model mostly in windows8.1 and skyrim and batman A city and the likes and it runs great -
G3 X4 startup blue screen responsive arrow Darwin login prompt
I tried booting in 'safe mode,' but the screen goes black and the machine turns completely off. The trouble shooting page on apple.com only gives instructions for 3.9 or earlier.
Where are the instructions for X.4 when 'safe mode' won't work?
Starting up normal led to a 10 minute frozen blue screen (with responsive arrow) that ended with a 'Darwin/BSD' prompt for a login. What's up with that?
Thank you very much if you have any sage advice!
(this particular machine is a G4 with OSX 4.? [the latest OS])Hi, knowmoore.
You wrote: "I tried booting in 'safe mode,' but the screen goes black and the machine turns completely off."That usually indicates that your startup disk is severely corrupted. See: "Mac OS X 10.4: Computer shuts down during Safe Boot."
I suggest you begin troubleshooting using the Procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
Good luck!

I noticed recently my IPHONE 5 6.0.2 has started to act weird when plugged in, I am on my third iphone 5, Returned the other two firstly becaue of battery issues and then wifi issues now its crazy when plugged in. It is as if the touch screen has become electrified...if i am typing a message on the keyboard it will randomly go back to messages, or jump to the edit screeen. If i am on the home screen i have to touch apps like three or 4 times to get them to open. It only happens when the phone is plugged in. I am using the cable and plug that came with it plugged into the wall socket. Hang on to i test plugged into my computer.,......same even more spastic if that was possible whaaaa whaaaaa whaaaaayyyyyy is this happening to me!!!!!

Poor screen response with IOS 8x
Since upgrading the software on my iPad 3 to 8.xx the screen has become largely unresponsive within an app. Especially true of dragging or swiping, but generally much slower overall. Screen autorotation is erratic. I have tried restarts, closing all open apps, and changing screen brightness to manual. Nothing seems to work.
iPad is increasingly unusable.Hello ol'man,
I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with your iPad. If you are seeing multiple issues with the touch interface after a recent update, you may want to make sure you have a current backup of your data in iTunes, then try restoring your iPad to factory settings and testing it in that default condition to see if the issues persist before restoring your data. You may find the following article helpful:

New iPad inconsistent touch screen response?
Hello all:
The touch screen seems to behave differently in some apps: The Paris RATP Metro
for instance has a map you can point to a metro stop and its picked up and
entered into another tab to find a route or schedule.
In this app and a few others, you can touch a stop again and again and nothing
happens. This is despit wetting the finger tip, pressing harder, moving the
fingertip areound, etc.
After many tires it finally works,
In the majority of apps it never does this.
Anyone else seen this behavior? If yes, what apps did it and is there a fix?
I am trying to see if the app, the iPad design or a bad touch screen.
Kind Regards,
Jon
Crypto-MuseumHave you tried any basic troubleshooting steps. Close all of your apps and restart your iPad. Try rebooting the iPad as well. It might just be a memory issue .... Maybe .... But start with the simple steps.
Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
Hello everyone. I have had my BBPB since about June and have used it almost everyday. Just a couple weeks ago the touch screen started acting up and not responding like it should. Its slow and takes several touches to register my entry. Sometimes the entry is not the button I had even selected. I have done the security wipe and reloaded the base software. I waited for the next software update and installed it in hopes the problem would go away but it didn't work... Im running 1.0.7.2942
Can somebody help??only thing i have heard is maybe strong magnetic fields near by, if this is not the case then maybe you have faulty hardware
