Screen rez at post?

Up till now I've had my system hooked up to a 15" flat panel with max rez of 1024 x 768. I've now changed to a 23" 1920 x 1200 flat panel. The first thing I noticed is that the post sequence no longer displays. I'm guessing that the display rez of the post sequence is 640 x 480 and that my 23" panel can not display that. I say that since 640 x 480 does not show up as a selectable resolution in the ATI software in windows. On the other hand 640 x 480 is a selectable option in a game like UT2K4 and displays just fine.
Any thoughts? Puzzled.

That's not the problem. What is happening is that the startup post screens are not displaying. This is BEFORE Windows loads.

It sounds like your Click Wheel iPod is showing a sad iPod icon. If it will go into Disk Mode you may be able to restore it, take a look at the article and quote below for more information about the alert and possible resolutions.

You need to mark tick in all boxes

Blue screen (Yes Apples posted fixes don't work for me)

I am tired tired... I can't get rid of the blue screen delay at startup in 10.5.2 or 10.5.3. I've tried the fixes. No go... I even tried wiping a drive and doing a Clean Leopard install. After adding the .5.3 update the long delay returns.
My delay is about 4 very long blue minutes. ( After a long gray screen with spinning gear. )
Could there be a hardware issue related to firewire brought out by the .5.2 & .5.3 updates?
I traced the 4 min. delay in my console log. see below.

Panther boots like lightning... Leopard 10.5 is slower but livable. The issue shows up after I do the .5.3 update... even on a clean install.

I was almost certain (from the logs) that there had to be a device incompatibility!
One suggestion: if this was compatible in 10.5.2 - make sure that you post feedback directly to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html/
Include the clipping from the log files - and the fact that you have resolved the problem by removing the device. Presumably the problem recurs if you plug the device back in?

Vendor Maintenance screen display when posting in FB01

Hi All,
I would like to ask your idea if ever you have encountered this issue.
In FB01 I post a document using the vendor 999999 after entering the posting key and press the enter. Another screen displayed..that screen looks like the transaction FK01. It seems that you need to recreate again the vendor. But my question is why did that screen appears though that vendor is already created..What are instances that this screen will appear..

Hi,
That vendor must be One-time vendor.
The concept of one time vendor is that, there is a single transaction with that vendor, like Fly-Ins.. and which are not regular.
So, SAP has given you the facility to create a Vendor in the Account Group One time vendor, which will have one vendor Account No., in your case it is 999999, and whenever you post entry with this vendor Account No., then, at the time of posting entries, a pop up screen will come for you to enter the name, city etc..
The balance vendor master data, like pmt terms, Recon account remains same for all, but only the name & city changes..
So, instead of creating many such one time vendor code in the system, you create just one code and then on a case to case basis, you post liability in this vendor, and enter name ,city etc.. at the time of Invoice booking.

When you go to FK01 to create a vendor, press F4 on Account Group, and you will see that there is a check mark for OTA(One time acount), with this tick, you can identify that whether your vendor 999999, is in the account Group OTA.

Posting in Enjoy Screen and Complex Posting Screens

I want to know the difference of posting in FB60/FB70 enjoy screens and the F-02 complex posting screens. Can someone tell me in what cases i have to use the F-02 screen by explaining a sample business transaction which cannot be posted in FB60 or FB70 but can be posted in F-02.

Hi,
Both F-02 and the enjoy transactions FB60/70 serve the same purpose. However, enjoy transaction make the entry look more simple and encourage a non functional user to enter correctly without any conflict as to debit/credit.
In case of F-02, you need to select the posting keys. These posting keys will define either the transaction needs to be debited or credited. Though all the tcodes serve the same purpose, the following are the key differences
1. F-02 is used for different document types (AB, SA, RE etc.,). It will be used for accounting as well as AP/AR entries if required.
2. In F-02, the posting keys define the document type. For eg., if you use KN as the document type, you need to use posting key 21 or 31 to allow the system to enter the vendor code. However, in case of FB60/70, you just need to select if the entry is a invoice or a credit memo and the credit and debit is already identified in the screen.
3. FB60/70 is more easier and exhaustive for the accountants to enter the data. F-02 may not be useful in day to day entry of invoices.

IPhone - Update app and updated screen shots get posted to iTune

A few weeks ago we submitted updates for our 8 apps on iTunes. When we submitted the apps we added updated screen shots to the version of the app that was in review. We just found out that all of our screen shots on iTunes were updated over a week ago for our existing apps, but our update has not been approved yet. We did not update the screen shots for the version of our app that is "Ready for Sale". Is this a bug in iTunes Connect? Is this something we should not have done? It looks like you can add new screen shots for your updated app since iTunes Connect makes a copy of your app for the update. Were we supposed to wait until after our app gets approved to update the screen shots?

Unfortunately the only thing that is tiemd with your update is the separate update changes text.
All other text and images are updated within a day so anyone making big updates needs to either:
1. Update manually after they notice their update is now live. Downside is there will be some people who view the listing before your changes are made.
2. Post the update photos and include a large note that this is for the coming update that is still being approved. Users can buy the current version and get all the features of the new version for free when it's approved.
As you've noted people may be downloading your current app thinking they're getting the features now shown, which will be frustrating for them.

Screen dump when posting debit balances to an expense account

A screen dump is produced when saving or posting debit balances to expense accounts for only certain periods and for a certain fiscal year in this case year 2006. what might be the problem. can the problem be solved form the ABAP side or FI side?

Compare the length specifications of the fields in the NAMETAB with
those in the ABAP/4 Dictionary and contact someone who is able to
perform a consistency check and eliminate the problem.
In most cases, this person will be your SAP consultant.
Please make a note of the actions and input which caused the error.
To resolve the problem, contact your
SAP system administrator.
Select the "Print" function to obtain a hardcopy of the
current termination message.
Error analysis
The problem has arisen because, within the database interface,
one of the data buffers made available for the INSERT (UPDATE)

CacheAsBitmap: screen-res ( meaning post container transforms) or not?

Here is a question I'd love to find the answer to:
1. Suppose you have a Sprite which contains a shape instance within.
2. The sprite is scaled down ( let's say 50% ), and added to the stage, but the shape it contains is left unscaled.
3. Now, if the shape has CAB enabled, is the cached bitmap rendered at the final screen res, post container transforms ( in this case, the cached bitmap would be 50% smaller than the shape ), OR Is the cached bitmap rendered at 100% the size of the shape, and then downsampled when it is drawn onto the screen?
...why is this relevant?
For example:
A) IF it turns out that cached bitmaps resulting from CAB are screen-res ( post all container transforms ), then it might make sense to set CAB to true even on a Bitmap instance, if one of its parent containers is scaled up or down ( so as to minimize the resampling effort, every time the bitmap is drawn to the screen ).
B) In the earlier example, with the unscaled shape within a scaled sprite, IF it turns out that cached bitmaps resulting from CAB are NOT screen-res ( meaning NOT post container transforms), then it might be advantageous to move the shape out of its container and apply the 50% scaling on it directly ( again, to minimize the resampling effort required to draw the cached bitmap onto the screen ).

Screen capture for posting video to website

I used iShowU for taking screen capture videos then edited with iMovie and posted them to our website. I am wondering if there is a better application out there for Mac users? Any information as well as posting it to the site is helpful! How to keep the file size down while quality high.

I need to produce a poster for our trade show. The content of the poster needs to be screen shots of our application. Is there any known software or strategies for handling this?

Shots of smaller application windows, dialogues or menus?
Please provide some physical dimensions (i.e.: inches W × inches H) you wish for these items to appear. For example: If a dialogue box captures at 300pxW × 400pxH, how big in INCHES (or cm) do you want it to print at?
Understand that for large/grand format printing often you can get away with printing at 72dpi, or even 36 dpi, because they're usually viewed from a distance of 4 feet or more.
Screenshots are tough to enlarge to any great magnification because the pixel data just doesn't exist.
If you want that 300pxW × 400pxH dialogue box to appear crystal clear when printed at 48 inches W × 64 inches H, it just isn't going to happen.

Annoying screen on pre-POST

Hi all, i used the search function and Google but I don't found a query that explains my question.
Some years ago I bought a new video card for my computer, a Point Of View Graphics equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT GPU. As I installed it my computer shows for a second or two a pre-POST black screen with the card specifications (brand, model, RAM, etc.), and I've always found this very annoying, but I didn't care cause 2/3 seconds in a global boot time of 45 seconds were not so important. Now I bought a new computer but i kept the video card, i have an SSD and the overall boot time is about 15s, so 2s become significant. Nothing of tragic, but man lives to walk up to perfection so... How can I remove it? Thank you!

I don't know but I don't think so, cause it's on pre-post, when the computer has not started nor the BIOS. I'm going to make a video.

I have a HP Probook 4535s (now out of warranty)
When I turn it on it freezes at the Hp start up screen
It does`nt matter which "F" key I press after a few
seconds it starts to beep (not in the identifying a
problem way) This includes the "Esc" key
Whatever key I have pressed it goes from just
text to having a white box around the text
but does nothing
I have reseated the RAM and them replaced
it I have also replaced the HDD, although it
is maller than the original all with the
same results, so am at a loss.
Any help and guidence would be most appreciated
Oh sorry I have also removed the battery and held
down the power button to purge it

Sorry to hear that. Please refer to the Blank Screen LED Error Codes document from HP Support. It sounds like a "General system board failure." The explanation says to contact HP for assistance. The motherboard might need to be replaced, and you will probably require the assistance of a technician to fix the problem.
