Screen Saver "The selected folder contains no pictures"

Hello,
I recently had my HD replaced on my IBook after thermal damage took out the old one, and the good Apple Store folks recovered and replaces the date from the old fwinky drive.
However, tweaking the configuration back into place, I noticed that most of the "Slideshow" style screensavers are now broken, with the following as patt of the error message:
"The selected folder contains no pictures"
Where the HECK are the insalled screensaver images stored? I would bring them over from the G4 tower, if I knew where to find them... Is there a way to reconnect the screensavers to the images if they are still on the drive?
I was able to find the screensaver files in:
System/Library/Screen Savers ...
But no sign of any images. Clicking or opening the file just launches the "Desktop & Screen Saver" preferences panel.

That appears to work. The pictures are indeed actually there. It seems the slide show screensaver functionality is somehow damaged.
Testing the screensaver on a new folder with some of my one images in it only shows a black screen. The problem apparently lies elsewhere.

I like to use my albums in iphoto as my screen savers. I've been doing this for a long time. I simply go into the system preferences and select the album I want as my screensaver. Today for some reason I went up to the hot corner and got the error message above. I went to the album in iphoto and all my pictures are there. They are also in the main library. I thought perhaps dragging the originals from the library back into the albums would help but they just bounced back. Any other suggestions?

I called Apple support and after many calls and much troubleshooting you won't believe what caused this. I had added /06 to my albums so I would be able to see they were from 2006. The forward slash caused this whole thing. I got rid of the forward slash and put a dash in its place and voila! There's my pictures. End of problem. Don't use slashes, question marks or other uncommon markings on album names and you won't have a problem.

The selected source contains no pictures

I cleaned downloads, now I've lost screen saver. I can't use a pic to relace screen saver, email pics or back them up. The message I get is, The selected source contains no pictures. Note: Iphoto has several thousand pictures, I can see them.

I have had some similar problems. I think mine were cause by "interference" from my Apple TV. By any chance do you have an Apple TV? I first notice the problem after viewing photos on my Apple TV as a screen show. When I was finished I just changed my TV back to the cable box, but did not do anything to the Apple TV. When I had the problem I went back to the Apple and switched it to something other than photos. Now my sceen saver shows photos again. I am guessing that the Apple TV some how locks the file such that the screen save can not get to it.

Why does iPhoto Screen Saver say "The selected source contains no pictures"?

After upgrading to Lion, I noticed that I can no longer use iPhoto albums as a screen saver. At first when loading the Screen Saver preference page, the iPhoto Screen Saver doesn't show up at all. After a bit, I can see "iPhoto" as an option, but if I select it I see a message in the preview pane that says "The selected source contains no photos. Please choose a new source that contains pictures or add images to the source." There are of course plenty of images in iPhoto already. Any ideas?

Dave I'm glad to say that it works perfectly but I'm embarrassed to say that my 12 year old nephew hooked it up in about 10 minutes.
If you have the Kanex Mini DisplayPort cable it will work, what confused me was changing the display settings in System Preferences,
and dragging the mac screen from the mac onto the tv. Sorry I cant be more helpful but you have the right cable now you need a 12 year old nephew.

In System Prefereneces, when I am in Desktop and Screen Saver, I am unable to remove folders. I have tried deleting preferences "plist" but I am totally unable to remove the folders.

I've seen one other report like yours, and I think the issue is caused by a bug, but I don't know what triggers it.
Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

The selected folder does not contain the current site's homepage

dreamweaver displays the following message when editting some
sites:
"WARNING: The selected folder does not contain the current

Then my remote info is cleared!
I know I'm obviously not doing something, but there is no
need to clear my remote info!!
edit: I've selected my home page, but this still doesn't
explain why Dreamweaver feels the need to erase my remote
info!!!

Huh?
This only means that you have not told DW which page is your
home page.
Find it in the local file list, and use the right-click
context menu to so
designate the file.

Screen Saver (using iphoto folder) - 2 questions

New imac....thanks for the input. Two questions with the screen saver that uses random iphoto folder pics.
1. The resolution on some pics looks horrible (I thinked they must be zoomed in), but even on ones that are not, the pics look more grainy then when I see them in iphoto at roughly same size. Any suggestions?
2. Wife liked the ability to scroll through the screen saver pics in Windows XP but hitting right arrow button. THis would not disengage screen saver and should could see all the pics. Anyway to do this on Mac...she would LOVE to know!

For starters... here is information for slideshows/screen savers available to use with a .mac account:
Using a .Mac slideshow as a screen saver
You can use a .Mac member's public slideshow as your screen saver.
To set up a .Mac screen saver, you need the .Mac member name of the person publishing the pictures. You do not need to be a .Mac member to see a slideshow or use it as a screen saver.
Open a web browser and visit a website to make sure you're connected to the Internet.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Desktop & Screen Saver.
Click Screen Saver, then select .Mac in the Screen Savers list.
Click Options, and enter the .Mac member name in the .Mac Membership Name field.
The slideshow is downloaded to your computer. When it's finished, you can disconnect from the Internet.
To publish your own slideshow, you need a .Mac membership. To learn more, visit www.mac.com
And rule of thumb using your own photos as a screen saver: If the pictures look fuzzy, try using larger pictures (such as 1024 x 768 pixels).

Apple TV 2.0 - Old screen saver no longer works-scrolling multiple pictures

Does anybody know if it is possible to activate the old screen saver. The old that creates a nice scrolling mosaic. Or is it gone forever, really like that one. Several people told it is still there but it doesn't work for me, after 2 minutes the traditional screen saver appears where there is one picture for the entire display.
I'm referring to the old one that has multiple pictures of varying sizes scrolling on the screen at differing speeds.

I must be missing something. If I go to settings/screen saver/photos I have one directory that is selected. When the screen saver starts it shows one picture at a time from that directory and then the next picture, but the screen saver with multiple pictures scrolling at the same time doesn't work for me, just the screen saver I described. Am I missing something?

OLAP Variable in DTP - Not able to save the selection

We are on BI 7.0 and supportpack 13. I am facing an issue with the OLAP variable in DTP filter . I am not able to save the selection/filter within DTP via OLAP variable. I am able to test the values of the OLAP variable within DTP screen (just like in infopackage) , but when i save it, it does not appear in the selection.
Have any of u faced this issue? I searched for SAP notes , but could not find any matching this issue. Could u please help?

Thanks for ur response. But i have checked that too. I am not saying that the value need to appear in selections screen. The filter in DTP is not showing a check tick mark and also no variable is found even though i had saved it and activated the DTP.
I also checked running thisDTP and checked the selections in the header of the monitor. No selection is shown there.

How to save the selected records from Table control in dialog programming

Benifits error message:The selected offer contains no plans

Hi,
I need assistance from some one who has prior experience in Benefits module. I have finished customizing the health plans and have been trying to enroll an employee into the health plan.
However i get the message: The selected offer contains no plans under automatic offer .
I made sure that under customizing both the first and second program groupings contain health plans.
I would appreciate any assistance to why this message is appearing.
Note under SPRO: both Define benefits program and Define standard health selections show benefits plans for both groupings(Firs and second)

For Health Plans, they dont come in auto offer but they come based on adjustment reason like for eg. initial hiring, Marriage, Child Birth,
Based on these adjustment reasons it sees which all plan type are permitted and then according to t5ubu it will displays the health plans.
So when you hire an employee, you have to create his IT0378 (Adjustment Reason) and when you will go to HRBEN0001 it will show you that Adjustmentt reason and based on your configuration when you will select the reason and click on get offer it will show u the health plans.
The IMG path for configuration is
1. PM -> Benefits -> Benefits Adjustment Reasons -> Define Benefit Adjustment Groupings
In this step, you define adjustment groupings. These groupings allow you to specify different adjustment permissions for different groups of employees.
Example
Full-time employees are allowed to make changes to savings plan elections when they change positions within the organization. Other employees are not allowed to make changes.
Two adjustment groupings are defined:
FULL - Full-time employees
OTHR - All other employees
2. PM -> Benefits -> Benefits Adjustment Reasons -> Define Benefit Adjustment Reasons
In this step, you define adjustment reasons to control changes to employee enrollments according to company policy.
The adjustment reason types that you define here are assigned as subtypes of Adjustment Reasons records (infotype 0378) in HR Master Data. Since a record can only have one subtype, a new record must be created for every adjustment reason an employee experiences.
According to the adjustment concept, an employee can only make changes to her enrollments if he/she has an Adjustment Reasons record (infotype 0378) with the required adjustment reason as a subtype. The only exceptions to this are if changes are made during an open enrollment period or if an anytime adjustment reason is assigned to the plan type.
In addition to defining adjustment reasons for certain events that can trigger changes, you may also want to define a special adjustment reason to allow changes to plans at any time.
Example
An employee adopts a child and wants to include the child in her health plan coverage. The following adjustment reason is defined:
CHLD - New child
The employee is allowed to include the child in all health plans as a dependent, but must do so within 3 months of the adoption.
Recommendation
To ensure that the Adjustment Reasons infotype is created for any relevant changes, SAP recommends that, wherever possible, you include the Adjustment Reasons infotype in appropriate personnel actions in Personnel Administration. To do this, you should consider which of your personnel actions permits an adjustment to benefits, and assign the infotype to the associated info groups.
3. PM -> Benefits -> Benefits Adjustment Reasons -> Define Adjustment Permissions
In this section, you assign adjustment permissions to each benefit plan type for an adjustment reason and, if appropriate, an adjustment grouping that you have defined.
3.1 PM -> Benefits -> Benefits Adjustment Reasons -> Define Adjustment Permissions -> Health Plans
In this step, you define the changes permitted for all plans of this type. You do this for each combination of adjustment reason, adjustment grouping, and plan type.

I am making a vi where I have to save the selected value from listbox with its respective tab control dropdown selcted values in another listbox.Whenever I select Item1 then the heading change and respective tab will open for that item.But Now I just want to save the selection and put it in another ListBox.SO that I can renmove or add according to my wish. Plz help me.

Hi, I successfully make the vi to insert itmes from listbox1 to listbox2.Whenever I select itmes 1 in listbox 1 it display same elected item in listbox2 , but it not appending the items in listbox2.Like If 1 is selected in listbox1 then 1 will display , next time after saving when I selct next item like 3 then in listbox 2, 1 is replaced by 3,it dont come in second row of listbox2.Hope I am able to explain.\

What does it mean, "the selected folder is not scannable" in Preview

I am trying to scan a document using a document feeder (Epson Workforce 633). It worked fine under Lion. Now trying it under ML, I get the message "The selected folder is not scannable." I don't see where one selects a folder and I can't find any menu that permits me to select any scanning target.

Quit Preview, delete the ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview folder, and then relaunch Preview.

Show only images in the selected folder

Hi All,
It would be nice if I could show only the images in the selected folder without including images in subfolders. For example a check box next to the folder name could switch between "selected folder only" and "include subfolders" viewing modes.

Un-check Menu/Library/Include Photos from Subitems.
It is already there in V1.1.
