  • HT4890 why doesn't a photo stream icon appear on iCloud although it's enabled

why doesn't a photo stream icon appear on icloud.  It's been enabled in settings and iphoto?

    Because it isn't supposed to.
Photostream is for sharing photos across your devices.

  • IPad 2 (3G) doesn't show photo stream

We have an iMac running Lion, two iPad 2s running iOS 5 and a iPhone 4s and all are connected to iCloud. All can take photos and post to the photo stream but the iPad 3G (the other is only wi-fi) won't display the photo stream at all. Even images that it takes doesn't show in the stream on that device. The strange thing is that images it takes show up in the photo stream on the other devices so I know it is connecting correctly...but it just doesn't show the images at all.  The photo stream page is completely empty.  Has anyone else had this problem or know how to rectify it?  Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks in advance. :)

Both toggle switches (in photos and icloud) are set to utilize photostream so that isn't the fix.  I am seeing this being a problem in a lot other forums.  Unfortunately, what I am not seeing is any kind of real solution being put forward expecially from Apple.  Since the iPad is still under warranty I may just call Apple and see what they have to say about it.

  • HT201317 How do I up load videos from my ipod to photo stream? The videos were shot before I added photo stream.

I am trying to up load videos that I have taken on my IPod to my photo stream. I need the videos to some how be uploaded automatically so I can get them to my PC. I have Windows 7 operating system. I cannot add the videos to the photo stream folder because I took them before I added photo stream to my IPod. I have already downloaded the icloud control panel 2.0 to my PC and have the settings set on both of the devices. I don't know if I can't upload them to photo stream or if I can use something else? Please help. My daughter takes lessons everyday and we have to be able to get them to my IPad, PC and other devices. Thank you.

Only photos can be uploaded to Photo Stream.
    No videos.

  • Grab doesn't take screen shot of selected area.

Using Lion, Grab (screen shot) doesn't work like it used to. I select an area, Cmd-Shift-4, release mouse button. It "grabs" a shot of a different area.

Can you just map the coordinates from your app to the screen coordinates? I think you can just use the getLocationOnScreen method of Component (and JFrame) to get the top left corner of your app and then just add the values to your Rectangle.

  • How can I capture the photo shutter sound when you take a screen shot

I want to use the Mac's shutter sound that is used when you take a screen shot or take a Photo Booth photo. I tried Audio Hijack but it doen't capture the sound. I figure this audio file must be in the system folder somewhere.

A camera shutter sound can be found in
    HD>LIBRARY>AUDIO>APPLE LOOPS>APPLE>iLIFE SOUND EFFECTS>FOLEY

  • Photo stream pics lost after ios8 upgrade

Afather upgrading to IOS 8 I lost all my photo stream pics. I checked on the cloud where I was advised they would be and they aren't there. Also, keep getting "uploading 1 photo" and screen shot doesn't work anymore.

Have a look at this support document:   My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support  http://support.apple.com/HT201317
    It says:
How many photos are stored in My Photo Stream on my devices and computers?
iCloud pushes all your photos to the Recently Added album or My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.
Your iOS devices keep a rolling collection of your last 1000 photos in the Photos tab (or My Photo Stream album in iOS 7). From there, you can browse your recent photos or move the ones you like to another album to keep them on your device forever.
The photos will stay, if you import them to albums.
However, I could have sworn that they were all in albums in my iPhoto that were imported.
Are you talking about iPhoto on your iPhone/iPad or iPhoto on your Mac? YourMac will keep photos, that have been imported to events.
Your if albums in iPhoto iOS should have been migrated to photos. Did you migrate your iOS iPhoto Library?

  • Imported Screen Shots are Blurry

    Hello FCP users,
I am challenged and need some guidance. The projects that I create a little mini-movies/demos made up of mostly imported screen shots and some still photos -- never any video. My challenge is that I have a very clean screen shot to work with -- if I bring them up in Preview, Photoshop, etc. they look great. The second I import them into FCP they are blurry, degraded and next to unreadable. I seems like I've tried everything, but nothing seems to make a difference.
I am not the one taking the screen shots -- they are provided from a different source each time. Each person most likely uses a different product to grab those screen shots, but my guess is that they are probably using snag-it or a similar product. I usually ask them to provide the "best" quality they can. That can mean a ton of different sized screen shots come my way. The ones I'm working with now range in size -- 1,116x760, 1,284x1000, 1,026x813, 1,023x830 to name a few.
I have been on the boards and did try one recommendation that I saw to reduce the size of the image to the same frame size that you are working with (in my case 720x480). Of course, when I do this there is degradation before I even bring it into FCP.
So, I'm wondering, should I be asking people to create their screen shots at 720x480? I've been playing around in Parallels with Snag-it to see what options are available -- I don't see that they can choose to produce the screen shots at a certain size -- they can reduce them after they take it, but there's that degradation again. Maybe there is some recommended product that I can suggest? Everyone I work with to supply the screen shots would be a pc user.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I do these often, and my screen quality always looks poor. I'd like to come up with a solution and I'm sure a big part of that is instructing those who supply the screen shots to take them a certain way...perhaps with a certain product...only I don't know what that is.
    Best practices anyone?
    My settings are:
    Frame Size: 720x480
    Aspect Ratio: NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC - CCIR 601 / DV (720x480)
    Compressor: DV/DVCPRO - NTSC
    Thanks for your insights.
    Tawny

Pan & Scan: in this context, I was referring to the idea of panning across a screen shot instead of reducing it to the size of the video frame. In other words, the original is (e.g.) 2x the width or height and then, as you explain / narrate, it moves across the screen. This preserves the "local" resolution of the original, but doesn't give the viewer a single view of the whole screen. It can be used in conjunction with the "whole view" as a kind of CU shot.

  • Troubleshooting Photo Stream on Apple TV

I've created a Photo Stream in I-Photo on a Mac Book Pro.  I've turned on "File Sharing" in I-Tunes and have selected "Photo Stream" (under column heading "Events") under "Choose Photos to Share".  When I try to view on Apple TV only the first photo of 67 in my "Photo Steam" appear.  Can you tell me how to get all photos to appear?  (Note: The entire "Photo Stream" appears on my I-Pad).

OK.  Got it now.  Internet menu is on "Apple TV".  Once all Photo Stream Photos appeared there, I was able to also set the Screen Saver to show all Photo Stream Photos.  However, under "Computer/My Library/Photos/Photo Stream only one picture continues to appear.  It's a bit confusing; but at least a user can see Photo Steam pictures!

  • Screen shot embedded with HTML not linking reliably

    Hi,
On a few occasions, including once today, I have had another user comment that one of my embedded screen shots doesn't load for him. I can see it perfectly well. I'm using Picasa to host the images. I'm well within the Picasa storage limit for the account, but I do have 300+ images in the folder of Discussions screen shots. Folder limit is 500 images.
Any idea what may be happening and what I may do to fix it?
    Regards,
    Jerry

    Hi,
I see two pics in that thread and then a Post by you that starts "Like This ?" But appears to have no info in it.
The post you linked to does not show any pic either and appears to be further down the tree view I use.
Mousing over either thread does not suggest anything is "missing" from the two posts for me.
    EDIT
I did notice that the Earlier pics also contain hyphen like a mentioned

  • Photo stream won't load as screen saver

I cant get any photo streams to load as slide shows or screen savers on my apple tv.  I tried it on my buddies apple tv with there own seperate photo stream and thy had the same issue.  This used to work for me no problem.  What's up apple?  Obviously it's software.  I called apple tech support and we trouble shot the crap out of it and came up with nothing.  Please help?

Do you mean you created a shared photo stream? Did you make sure to select those photos by going to settings - screensaver on your ATV?
Also note, only a small portion of the cache is used for the screensaver (typically will hold around 100 photos)

  • Why my mbp doesn't photo stream wireless

why my mbp doesn't photo stream wireless

I'll assume you are talking about an iOS device that takes photos.
    Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.  If grayed out, check Restrictions in Settings>General.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
Note that when photo stream is turned on, only pictures taken from that point on will go to the stream, not existing photos.  For those, sync them to a computer using itunes and USB cable.

  • My Apple TV 6.1.1 is logged into iCloud but says it's not when I try to log into using Photo Stream as my screen saver. Any ideas?

When I select Photo Stream as my screen saver, it prompts me for the password. Despite the password working for logging into iCloud and iTunes Music Store, it always says it's incorrect for Photo Stream. Help!

    Eric,
    None of this has worked.
My Apple ID and password work with everything else. I have a good Internet connection. No Firewall active from my IMac.
LIke I said, I haven't installed anything recently and FaceTime ver. 1.0.5 on OS X 10.6.8 was working fine prior to yesterday.
I restarted my IMac to run Mavericks and FaceTime 3.0 under OS X 10.9.4 is working and I was able to login and use FaceTime on Mavericks with no problem.
For some unknown reason FaceTime on IOS and on my Mac were asking me to login into FaceTime when I haven't had to do this for quite sometime.
Older FaceTime 1.0.5 all of a sudden has decided to be a problem with login on my IMac under Snow Leopard.
The only thing left I am going to try is the two-step Apple ID verification process where I can use a app specific password, but Apple makes you wait three days before completing the two-step verification.
If this doesn't work, then I do not know what will solve this issue and now I made my Apple ID login process more complicated than I really wanted it to be.
I purposely stayed away from using the two-step ID verification login.

  • How to delete photos from iPod after making screen shot?

    Hello!
I just figured-out how to take screen shots with the ipod... And was playing with it for a while! heh heh
Now I have a bunch of screen shots saved to my ipod, is there a way to delete them with out connecting to iTunes?
    Any tips are appreciated.

On a Mac, iPhoto launches automatically if there are Saved Photos. In Windows XP, there's a "new device" dialog where you can select the Scanner & Camera Wizard (no view files option in XP, unlike Vista), or you can go to My Computer and you'll see an Apple® iPod device (the only thing accessible will be the Saved Photos).
I think we've covered all the OSs now.
    Hope this helps...

  • Iphone 4 makes calls but screen is black and the power button doesnt work. never synced to computer or photo stream. I dont want to lose my photos

So, my Iphone 4 now has a black screen. Before it did this I unlocked the screen (which has a passcode) try to open instagram and the screen flashed and went black. I can make calls and it seems to send messages but I dont know for sure because the screen is black. The power button (sleep) does not work and when I try to reset the phone it makes a call. I never synced it to a computer or Itunes and I didnt start photo stream. I want to preserve the pictures because it has photos of family members that have passed. Is there a way to get the photos?? Help please!

If you have attempted the reset, which is holding the home button and sleep/wake button, was it still connected to the computer? Have you tried to do that when not connected. You stated it never came on, how long did you hold the buttons together? If you cannot get it to connect to iTunes then you would not be able to restore the device. You can see if you can put the device into Recovery Mode by following the instructions in this support document. If that does not work, then you are correct, make an appointment at the Apple Store. If you can't update or restore your iOS device
