Screen shot not saving images

All of a sudden when i take a screen shot i can hear the shot being taken but it is not saving the image? it used to save the image to my desktop but it has suddenly decided to stop. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

That .plist file should exist. Have another look. - Another suggestion, but not a cure, download Capture Me. It is free and works a treat!

N96 capturing but not saving images

Hi,
I've had an N96 for ages without issue but recently it has stopped saving images.
Camera works fine, can take photos and they display on the screen as captured but then, unlike before, they are not automatically saved.
Have checked memory space - loads left
Restored camera settings - no change
Have checked other folders and "all photos" rather than just gallery - still no sign of latest image(s)
Any help..?

Rob, the option to retain the original Raw file (in this case CR2) is in conversion to DNG done from the Library module, not to conversions done during importation when Copy as DNG is selected, because in this case the original remains on the card.
CDPhoto, if, on the Import page, you select Copy instead of Copy as DNG, your files on the hard disc will be CR2s. If your really do want them converted to DNG, in the right side panel select File Handling/Make a Second Copy To: and designate a location. The second copy will be CR2.

Capture Screen Shot not working in Full Motion

I am trying to use Full Motion Recording to capture mouse
movement, while also manually capturing screen shots. The screen
shots are not being captured though. I've tried the default Print
Screen key, and also resetting it to the Down key, with no success.
I can capture the screen shots when Full Motion Recording is not
active.
The information in the Help files and Knowledgebase seem to
indicate that it's possible to manually capture screens while
recording full motion. Any suggestions about what could be going
wrong?

Hi LisaLouLou and welcome to our community
I think the help may be misleading you here. If you are
recording by using the total “Full Motion Capture”,
Captivate ignores the Print Screen key because you have told it
that the entire project is to be recorded using Full Motion. Hence,
there is no slide by slide based recording as there is using the
other options.
After you have recorded, you are free to insert blank slides,
then add images as needed in case that helps.

Screen shots not seen by Windows user. How come?

When I create a screen shot on my MacBook, and send it to someone using Windows, it appears to them as a blank square. Anyone know why?

Open the Screen Shot (png) with Preview. File > Export… Select JPEG, Best, and give it a shorter, more user friendly name. Save it to your Desktop where you can easily find it.
You do not need some third-party software reference when the tools to do the job are included with OS X.

IPhone screen shot not automatically shown in Windows explorer

After connect iPhone to PC,it will be shown as a portable device in Windows explorer,and you can explore your existing photos including screen shots in there.
Keep my iPhone conneting with computer,press home-lock to take a sceen shot,go back to Windows explorer,open iPhone,but I can't find the recent sceen shot.I must eject my iPhone and reconnect it into my pc to get the sceen shot.
And the same problem with camera too,i need to reconnect the phone to get the photo if i take it with my iphone pluged in.

Screen Shots not loading for various browsers

I am accessing BrowserLab through Dreamweaver CS5 running on MAC OS 10.6.6. There is no problem signing in however when I choose a browser to view a screenshot it times out telling me that the Browser version has "failed to load. The screenshot cannot be loaded for the following reasons: page error". When I click on the Retry button, I get another message saying that "the screen shot was cancelled".
This happens for either MAC or Windows browser versions but not consistently. When I first sign in, I can get at least one screen shot to show up but when I request a different browser, I get the error message. This is a simple XHTML, CSS file.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

A few questions:
Are you requesting a local or server preview of the files from Dreamweaver (from the dropdown in the BrowserLab panel in DW)?
Do you still see the same issue with screenshots if you test a public url (e.g. yahoo.com, etc) from within the BrowserLab interface?
After you make the request from DW, don't switch to BL. Do you see any dialog appear within DW asking for permission to access files?
Is it consistently the same browser(s) you're having issues with? And if so, which ones? Have you tried others to see if you get the same messages?
As I understand it, you're making the request from DW, then adding more browsers to your browser set later. Can you try modifying your default browser set to include all the browsers you want to preview, then shut down BL and try the preview again?

Screen layout not saved

Hi!
When I change the size of the filmstrip and of the right panel, they are not saved after leaving LR. When restarting, they have the old size again. This worked better in the Beta 4.1. (I did not try changing the size of the upper and left panel.)

I've noticed (with interest) that there seem to be a fair number of photographers running LR with only a single monitor setup. It would be unthinkable for a video editor (my primary function) to operate with less than 2 monitors (3 would be better if I had the room, but I don't because of that pesky NTSC broadcast monitor I need to use). But maybe for photo-centric operations a nice widescreen flat panel does just fine.
I wonder if just having the desktop stretched across 2 monitors is involved in this. As soon as I get some down time, I'll try switching to clone mode and see what happens.

Screen Shots not working correctly

When I click Shift + CMD + 4 and then Space, you can take screenshots of a window rather then the whole screen
The problem is that the screen shots are cut off when the window is taking up the whole screen

hmm, that's odd - if you do it manually selecting the whole screen, does that work?
I imagine that this terminal command will give the same undesirable result - but since it bypasses just a little of the GUI.... you might try it.

Pro XI not saving images

Hello,
We are having image problems when saving. We have a livecycle form that allows people to save an image with an image field and other data in some text fields.
The users having problems are using Acrobat Pro XI. They seem to be able to open the form, fill in some data and save the form. When the form is reopened the data displays just fine except for the image.
The image field is blank. The image does not display when the user re-opens the form. However, if another user opens that saved form using a different program/version then that user can see the image OK form the saved PDF.
Any ideas what might be happening?

PSE 9; Fitting image to screen, does not fit image to screen

Hi,
I have some problems since last upgrade of Photoshop Elements 9.
Suddenly, when I am using the editor, when I want to resize the image to fit the screen, it does not do that anymore.
The image does change size, but it is considerably smaller than the screen, (or rather the available area in the editor workspace).
For example, with an image in portrait mode, Fit to screen makes it as 11%, with considerable space above and under the image.
If I zoom this image manually, entering a number 16% fits the screen.
This used to work before.
How can I make it work?
I am sure there is some settiing, but I cannot find it.
And, it seems, that it ceased to work after the last upgrade, a couple of weeks ago. It is now PSE 9.0.3.
Of cause, it might have been something I did that made it cease working.
I don't care. But where is the setting that makes this work?

Try dragging out the tab containing the image; so that it floats.
Then drag the triangle corner at the bottom right - you can cover a big part of the screen real estate whilst still keeping the tools pallet and menu bar visible.
You can also click Edit à Preference à General
Then check the item Zoom With Scroll Wheel
That will let you fill or reduce the window contents quite quickly.

Screen Shots Produce Lined Images

I did a screen capture using commandshift4 and dragging the cursor. The image it created is here...

Any thoughts? I'll be making a call to Apple CARE tomorrow. This happened while taking a capture of a web page. I thought maybe somehow it was the web site blocking screen capture. I tried on a different web site... then I tried the desktop, all with the same results.

Eureka! I did not find any Grab files to throw away. I opened up grab and used it once. It worked fine. I then did my commandshift4 and it worked!
Last night I did a permissions and disk repair after booting up to the install disc (just b/c I had never done it since my TM restore and subsequent archive and install). Since then I have not tried the screen capture, so I'm guessing I repaired something there that fixed the problem. Otherwise, it was just opening the grab application and jump starting it or something.

Full screen view not full image...

When I select full screen on the film strip, I get to see my image on a black screen with the film strip underneath.
Now, I also noticed that this film strip also blocks part of my image. I was actually expecting the viewer to automatically adjust the size of the images in such a way that all the images were fully in view (uncovered by menus etc). Am I missing a setting somewhere?

You can move the film strip to either side and you can also make it hide and reappear as you mouse over it, like the dock on a Mac. There is a small button on the film strip that is the view mode, the changes availabe are listed there.

ESS custom fields - data entered in ESS screen is not saved in SAP record.

I am working with an ABAPer on the BAdI HRPAD00INFTYUI. We are trying to make a few customer Z* fields avaialble on ESS for IT0021. We followed the document posted at

I managed to make the fields visible on the iview as per instructions from document at link above (I don't know much about portal config).
Problems we have:
When I enter data in the custom fields on ESS and press Review button the custom fields no longer show. In addition, the data record does not save the information entered in these custom fields.
Cannot figure out how to change the order in which they appear on the screen. They are not in the same order that they appear on the 'Edit custom extension fields' screen where I made them visible.
Any input is appreciated.

Hi,
I think there are a few tasks that you can try to solve your problem (if you haven't already)
- First you will have to repeat the personalisation steps that you performed (on the initial portal i-view screen) in the the review screen to get the fields to display on this screen.
- to get the fields to update you will need to add them to the view V_T588MFPROPC or possibly V_T588MFPROPS though this table should be for SAP namespace
- You may need to check your code in the INPUT_CONVERSION method of the BAdI

Screen shots not showing up in WebHelp (RH7)

Hello:
I'm having an issue where screenshots (all are .png) aren't showing up in WebHelp. I'm not sure what happened! I have added and edited tons of screenshots since I started my project, but I have no idea if that would affect WebHelp.
Basically, when I try to view results, it just shows white space where the screenshots are supposed to be, and then at the bottom of Intertnet Explorer it says something like "(11 items remaining) Downloading picture file....." And it just sits there. It doesn't appear to actually "download" even though... it's right there on my computer! Any ideas?

Just to balance it out.
My experience with PNG images has been quite the opposite. I've used them nearly exclusively with RoboHelp since the Adobe version 6 and can't say I've ever seen a problem.
However I do suppose it could boil down to the application used to create them. Peter alluded to that earlier.
The tools I use for creating PNG are TechSmith SnagIt version 8 and good old Microsoft Paint. I know that Adobe FireWorks works with images in a similar manner to PhotoShop. By that I mean that you can work with layers (I think - I only have a passing familiarity with it and don't use it often enough to really know it). I believe FireWorks saves in .PNG format to store its layering information. You probably have to "flatten" it to make a PNG like SnagIt or Paint creates.
For what it's worth (after factoring in exchange rates and the current economic climate, that may not be much!) Rick

Admin screen will not display images - error on page

We are one step closer to a successful installation but not quite there yet. When we got to htmldb_admin the username/password boxes appear but the images do not display and it states error on page no matter what you try to do. Any suggestions?

Please see errors below from the log file. It appears that it is looking in the wrong directory for the images. Does anyone know where I can set this? I put an alias in htttp.conf but it must be pulling the info below from somewhere. Please help - I am so close (I think!!).
