Screen size adjustment

The top part of my screen is too high to see the minimize, close tabs.  How can I adjust the size of my screen?  I use a MacBook Pro.

Please test to change screen resolution in Mac OS to see if it will help. Laptop cannot "move" screen like monitor (or TV) so resolution should be the only possible way.

  • How to adjust the AICC compliant CBT's to fit all screen sizes across browsers in Captivate 4

    Hi,
    I have made changed my Adobe Captivate 4 files to be AICC compliant by changing the Settings in Preferences.
    When I publish the files, the standard.js file no longer adjusts the CBT's to fit all screen sizes across browsers, as it was doing before by adding the below code -
    <style type="text/css"> html, body, #CaptivateContent { height:100%; }
    body { text-align:center; margin:0; padding:0; overflow:hidden; }
    </style>
    Is there a way to scale Adobe Captivate AICC compliant files across different browsers?
    Thanks!

    That code doesn't go in the standard.js file but goes in the head of the HTM template used for AICC output.
    Look in your Captivate install directory for the Templates > Publish > AICC > Default.HTM file and add the code there.

  • Can the Parameter Enter Value screen size be adjusted?

    I have a report that will have up to 4 to 5+ different individual Parameters that will require the users to populate.
    Since I am using a larger number of parameters the Enter Value screen size is small and not all of the parameters are displayed on one screen.   the users are required to scroll down in order to see and populate the other Parameter selections.
    Is there a way to adjust the default size of the Parameter enter Value screen that the end users will see when using the Cyrstal Report Viewer?

    Try Service Pack 3, if still not then it's likely the type of parameters you are using.
    Bottom line is if there is no option to change the size of that window. I believe someone asked for this and I entered it in as an enhancement request. Some future version may eventually have the ability to auto-size.
    At the top of this forum you'll see a Feature Request link, add your suggestion there, search first though in both of the links.
    Thank you

  • Adjust the screen display dynamically for a given screen size and resolutio

    Hi All,
    Is there a posibility to change the size of a table control dynamically to maximize the screen utilization keeping in mind , the different screen size and resolution. This is to increase the breadth of the table control that there is maximum utilization of screen and which would not produce any horizontal scroll bar in case of small size monitors.Kindly advice.
    Best Regards,
    Ashwini

    There is no such control that you can put into the programming logic to enhance the visual appearance of the table controls or screens. This is taken care of by SAP GUI, which will adjust the display size of the table control according to the screen resolution.

  • Cannot adjust page width to fit to screen size on some PCs with IE

    Hello friends, I am using APEX 4.0 and IE9 on different Windows 7 PCs . The page will go way off the screen to the right on one PC, and fits nicely inside the screen on another PC. This problem does not occur in Firefox on any PC. I have used Firebug to try to isolate the template or css settings. Using Theme_4, I have a breadcrumb region and 4 reports regions. One of the reports regions is in column 1 and 3 regions are in column 2. Display point is Page Template Body (3. Items above region content) for all the reports regions. The CSS is #themes/theme_4/css/theme_4_0.css. The template is One Level Tabs (Right Sidebar/Table Based). I tried various width="" using px and % under Edit Page Template-Definition-Body (see below). I tried style="width:800px" within the <div> tags. I have tried various other changes to theme_4_0.css and apex_4_0.css with no visible change to the page width on the obstinate PCs. I reset IE setting and deleted all personal settings on both PCs with no changes to either one, one fits on the screen and the other does not. The issue is that most of our users use IE so most of them will have to live with using the horizontal scroll bar to see the regions in column 2, unless we switch them all to Firefox (not a bad option, except that option works for our users only, we have no control over external browsers). I have tried suggestions from many discussion threads, as this problem has bothered us for quite some time. I know this is an IE problem, but any help is appreciated. Thank you.
    "|" represents screen size and "-" is the regions/content for the "bad" PCs.
    |----------|----------
    The "good" PCs look like this:
    |----------|
    Peter
    <div id="body">
    <table class="tbl-body" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" summary="">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td class="tbl-main" width="100%">#REGION_POSITION_02##BOX_BODY#</td>
    <td class="tbl-sidebar">#REGION_POSITION_03#</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>
    </div>

    I think your concerns are very reasonable. But I want to sort of refocus things a little bit for you here... it's not really a PC vs Mac issue... Rather, it's specifically an Internet Explorer issue. And you might say that this is synonymous...still 98% of the world uses IE, and you would be correct. Hopefully when the final version of IE7 comes out, it will finally embrace some of the modern day OPEN web standards without trying to make too many standards of its own (this is Microsoft, though).
    Anyways, in the meantime, I guess we all try to make the best of it. It's very easy to conclude that iWeb is not a viable tool for you, as long as you have something else to "fall back" on. With my limited knowledge of all things HTML, I have no such luxury. Instead, I have put up a notice on my site for IE users only that the site might not look its best on IE....this notice also encourages IE users to use FireFox, which is very much like Safari and will in 99% of cases display your iWeb pages just like you expect. You can see how I've done this here (but you have to surf from IE)... http://blog.dirtdoog.com
    I think many people in the PC world understand the limitations of IE. Certainly many don't, but you have to consider your likely audience, I guess. I believe that your website content is king. If your content is compelling enough to your intended audience, they will jump through hoops to see it in its full glory....but you have to make them aware of the problem. That's why I have chosen to take the path that I have taken.
    Let me know what you think.

  • Adjust front panel to screen size and re-position objects on different systems automatically

    Hello, i have designed a vi that contains 5 led's placed at the 4 corners and center of the front panel which occupies the entire screen. However, this vi is to be used on different systems having different screen sizes. But on every screen, i'll need the front panel size = screen size and the led's to  be placed to the centers and corner of this new screen size automatically without any manual operations and positioning bieng done every time. Will the resize option perform this task completely or do i have to go for some other techniques?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    As far as I know, what you want is not easy to do but it is doable but you have to programmatically do it (no Labview setting). Here is an example for only 2 LEDs but I suppose that you will be able to make it work for your other LEDs.
    This VI maximizes the front panel and then positions the 2 LEDs in the center and top right corner upon running. The LEDs are positioned according to their own top left  corners, not according to their centers.

  • I need  to adjust the screen size but i cannot find where at

    Can anyone help me out, i am done with my video but i realize too late that the screen size is really weird, large and not tall at all

    Sorry, I can't translate since your title is in English and the translator won't apparently do the rest. I am guessing in my answer. Adobe used to have the Distiller Server, but I think that has been discontinued. Distiller normally comes as part of Acrobat. To install Distiller, you would simply install Acrobat. If you have Acrobat installed and for some reason Distiller is not showing up, try opening Acrobat and go to Help>Repair. It is a good idea to do the updates also.
    If you need more info, please give the software version that you have and name, along with the OS. Also it appears you may have to post in English since the translator will not work. You might create a version in your language and use https://translate.google.com/ to translate and copy to the forum.

  • Screen Size reduced

    Have just switched my Ipod on and have noticed the screen size has reduce all the way around the outside by about 2 or 3mm. It used to fill the complete LCD display. Anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed?

    hiya!
    this is a longshot. by any chance, are the affected videos DV format videos that were converted using QT Pro? if so, perhaps check on this possibility:
    QuickTime Pro: DV format movies may require adjustment for iPod
    otherwise, it might be worth checking to see if it's all files that are showing up funny, or just some of them. the sample files and techniques in this document might be helpful with that:

  • Image size of iPhone 5S is smaller than screen size

    When I click any picture with my iPhone 5s, the image size is always 20-30% smaller than screen size. Its like a picture clicked from iPhone 4, is this an issue or is it designed in that way?? Coz Images clicked in potrait mode are always cropped 20-30% and I am not liking it..

    If auto adjust to fit with the Default Full Zoom extension isn't working then the pages may be using absolute values for elements and in such a case you would have to zoom the pages manually.
    Can you post a link to a few pages where it isn't working properly?

  • How to make pages fit to any screen size

    Is there a way to make the pages stretch or condense so that it fits any size screen? I've found where I can adjust the px size of the individual pages but I get white borders at the left/right and bottom edges of the screen that vary depending on the monitor size that I am viewing the page on. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. By screen size do you mean browser window size? If so you can get rid of the white around the body of the page by using a solid color or tiled image for the browser background which is set in the Inspector/Page/Layout pane.
    Or, if you want the page background to be the same as the browser background do the following;
    1 - set the browser background to what you have the page set to.
    2 - set the page content background to transparent.
    Now the page background will fill the browser's window no matter what size it is. That's how I have my tutorial site setup: http://toadstutorials.info.

  • Handbrake Screen Size

    I made an interesting discovery on handbrake by accident last night. I put in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom before I went to bed, adjusted all the settings but forgot to adjust the screen size. I've done this before and I usually would have just thrown it out. But this time I thought to trasfer it to my itunes and see if it would update to my ipod. Funny thing is...it did. So I'm going to try it with a couple of other movies today. The thing I'm thinking is that the 320 Screen size appears to make to differance for the ripping because the ipod will adjust it automatically. Anyone eles out there experience the same thing.

    You can create videos of varying sizes, quality and bitrates, etc. and as long as the iPods specs aren't exceeded it will sync and play on the iPod (in 320x ???). If I understand this stuff correctly (and there is no guarantee that I do) when output is to a TV instead of the iPod screen the full resolution/aspect ratio, I.e. how it was recorded, is used resulting in a better picture on the TV.
    If you exceed the iPods specs you can still play the video in iTunes but it will not sync to the iPod. iTunes will tell you that it didn't sync because it can not be played on the iPod.
    I don't even know if all this is correct, I.e. a video done 480 wide looking better on TV than same video at 320 wide. I only mention width as usually you would leave aspect ratio "as is" so the height will vary, I.e. letterbox if the video is wide-screen.
    So basically I'm just making myself a bunch of examples/samples that I will then play on various TV's. Hopefully I will then be able to decide on "my" method and settings for feeding my iPod.
    I'm loosely documenting what I'm doing at
    http://homepage.mac.com/heinz/2005/ in case it's of interest to others.
    Feeding the iPod with video that is destined just to the iPod is relatively easy but as my primary usage will include the iPod being my mobile DVD library I want to be sure I create the feeds that will give best possible quality when displayed on a TV. I.e. I only want to build my mobile DVD library once.
    It could all end up a waste of time. Maybe all my samples will look equally good but at least I'll know I tried.

  • Dynamic screen size

    Hi!
    Is there any method to adjust screen size according to the resolution of the screen.
    Thanks!
    Lluís i Montse

    Hi,
    For BDC we Use CTU_params for adjusting the Screen resolution.
    Check table CTU_PARAMS and field DEFSIZE for setting fixed line of table control.
    For CALL TRANSACTION
    CALL TRANSACTION 'VA01' USING it_bdcdata
    OPTIONS FROM OPT
    MESSAGES INTO it_mesg.
    opt of type ctu_params.
    WA_CTU_PARAMS-DISMODE = 'N'. "no screen mode
    WA_CTU_PARAMS-UPDMODE = 'S'. "synchronus update
    WA_CTU_PARAMS-NOBINPT = 'X'.
    WA_CTU_PARAMS-NOBIEND = 'X'.
    WA_CTU_PARAMS-DEFSIZE = 'X'. "Default size
    Default size will play good role in terms of resoultion. in one system in table control you can see 10rows, but in others system it will show 20 records. it depends on resoultion. but when you set the default size then it will take same (default screen size) in all the systems when you run BDC.
    In session method under BDC_INSERT,you need to handle
    CTU_PARAMS for setting screen resolution
    For ALV Reports follow the Procedure Given Below
    Try the following for your screen which holds the container.
    Set the screen with and height to the max. extent possible. (screen attributes)
    place the custom controller on the screen and expand it to the full screen width and height.
    Set the custom control attributes:
    by selecting the check box for resizing vertical, horizontal and set the min lines and min columns to 1.
    Regards,
    Raj.
