Screen sizes of 17" and 20"

Can someone who has one post the actual screen sizes, W and H (in inches) of the 17" and 20" iMac.
thx
:{)

Patrick is right, for LCD screens the size is the actual "viewable" area.
If you are asking about the size of the whole thing, they are as follows:
Size and weight (17-inch)
Height: 16.9 inches (43.0 cm)
Width: 16.8 inches (42.6 cm)
Depth: 6.8 inches (17.3 cm)
Weight: 15.5 pounds (7 kg)4
Size and weight (20-inch)
Height: 18.6 inches (47.2 cm)
Width: 19.4 inches (49.3 cm)
Depth: 7.4 inches (18.9 cm)
Weight: 22 pounds (10 kg)4

  • Correct screen sizes for wallpapers and games on V3m RAZR for Verizon?

Does anyone know the correct file size (i.e. 176x144) for
wallpapers and games built for a Razr on the Verizon network? I
know that the Razr is 176x220, but I thought that I remember seeing
somewhere that the wallpapers should be 176x144 and games should be
176x204 because of the top banner that is locked on the screen.
Please advise if you know for sure. The lastest doc that I read
about Verizon said that the status bar took 16pixels. Does anyone
    know for sure?

I read this from a brew device data sheet on the V3m:
The display height is 220 pixels. The number of pixels for
status area is 16 pixels in height, so the height for BREW
application display area is (220-16)=204 pixels in height.
I'm not sure about wallpapers though. It looks that the top
bar and bottom bar are the same size. I would developer my
wallpapers at 176x188 (assuming the bottom bar is 16 px as well).
The secondary display is 96x66. Though, I'm not sure how you
could access that, if you want to show a small version of a
    wallpaper when its closed.

  • Y screen size is big and I want it to return to normal size

all my icons are big and I want to return them to normal size

Double tap with three fingers on your screen again to reduce the size.
    Zoom feature:
Zoom in or out: Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
Increase magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger

  • How do I set the screen size of my site?

Hey guys making a site for a friend and I'm not sure on how I go about setting a screen size that can be viewed on varying screen sizes like 1280x800 and up. At the moment on my 1920x1080 display it looks fine but when I open it on her MacBook Pro (1280x800) it is cut of by half and my website has some fixed anchors which I do not allow scrolling so you are kind of stuck.
Thanks to anyone that can help, can't find a tutorial anywhere

In the normal state the screen on an iPad will rotate depending on which side is up. Any of the four sides can be up or on top and the display will look correct. But if you want to lock the display in one orientation you can. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center. Then tap on the Orientation Lock icon. That's the icon of the small padlock surrounded by a circular arrow. That icon will appear at the top right of the display and the screen will no longer rotate. Repeat the same procedure to unlock orientation.

  • Can the Parameter Enter Value screen size be adjusted?

I have a report that will have up to 4 to 5+ different individual Parameters that will require the users to populate.
Since I am using a larger number of parameters the Enter Value screen size is small and not all of the parameters are displayed on one screen.   the users are required to scroll down in order to see and populate the other Parameter selections.
Is there a way to adjust the default size of the Parameter enter Value screen that the end users will see when using the Cyrstal Report Viewer?

Try Service Pack 3, if still not then it's likely the type of parameters you are using.
Bottom line is if there is no option to change the size of that window. I believe someone asked for this and I entered it in as an enhancement request. Some future version may eventually have the ability to auto-size.
At the top of this forum you'll see a Feature Request link, add your suggestion there, search first though in both of the links.
    Thank you

  • Determining real screen size in meters

it is possible to determine roughly viewing screen width and height f.e. in meters?

It doesn't matter... you can't really get an accurate value for screen size.
Yes, you can get the screen size in pixels, and the PPI (pixels per inch (screen resolution)). But you can't accurately translate that to physical measurements.
PPI of 96 (standard Windows) would tell you that, in theory, a 1024 x 768 screen size would be about 10.6 x 8 inches, or about 13" diagonal (convert to meters or whatever at your leisure). But that's not true cuz I have a 17" monitor and I could set it at that screen size if I wanted.
Which means that the PPI settings for Windows doesn't truly reflect what the monitor does with the video signal. Of course, you can still work back from the 10.6" x 8" measurement with that DPI to accurately size things on the monitor, relative to the size it shows on the actual monitor.
Now, perhaps JNI talking to the video drivers or something could possibly give you some more detailed info, at least on some newer cards and monitors. I'm not really sure about that.

  • MacMini maximum screen size?

Hi! Does anyone know what the maximum screen size (in inches and/or resolution) is for a Mac Mini?

Many thanks for your help. Not quite sure yet, but just wanted to be sure that if I bought, say, a 24 inch display that the graphics card in the MacMini would cope. Nigel.
    Nigel, welcome!
    1920x1200
There is no limit on inches.

  • Best Adobe Captivate Screen Size for all Devices?

Which would you say is the best screen size to use to cater for all device types (pc, laptop, tablet, mobile, etc.)?
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
You can select any moderate screen size and publish the course and on the publish dialog box, check "Scalable HTML content" (only in case of .swf, HTML5 and PDF).
If you are not sure about which screen size to choose and you are creating a course for large audience for devices and systems of different resolution, then  800 X 600 is recommended.
But now, with scalable HTML content checked, your course window will fit to the screen size of the device, and there will not be any scroll bar.
    Thanks.

  • Exporting QT changes the screen size

When I finish any work, I send it to compression on both m2v and mov, high quality. My problem is that QT changes the screen size (squeezes up and down) when I open any mov file. This doesnt happen before, with the early QT version. Im sure its a QT issue since I have tried the videos I already stream in the web (which have no distortion) and QT wont let me SEE them in their original 4:3 size.
    Anything to try?
    Thank you.

    Hi:
Could you be getting confuse with pixel aspect ratio? QT shows your video like square pixels what gives you a distorted image.
If you play your m2v from inside DVDSP you must see your movie fine (rectangular pixels).

  • CL_GUI_ALV_GRID Screen size

    Hi All,
I have created a ALV Grid and everything is working hunky-dory.
The issue is the output screen size is limited and a scroll bar comes. I want to make sure it is shown full screen? How can I achieve this?
In the screen I have created a custom control and that is being used by CL_GUI_ALV_GRID instance.
    Regards,
    Arpit

    Hi Arpit,
    - Go to screen editor for this screen
    - select this gray area by clicking on it (this is your screen area)
    - in top right corner fill fields Lg = 174, H = 35 - these determine max screen lentgh and height, then L = 1, Cl = 1 - these are coordinates where screen has to start from
    - you can alternatively to above just go to endge of this screen area and drag and drop to resize it (but above you are sure that it will be set to fullscreen)
    - place custom control on that screen area - also either resize it to fit entrie screen area
      or
    - double click on it to get its attributes (in fields Vis length set 174,  Heigh set 35 )
    - in below fields set Resizing (as told by Pawan)
    - activate your screen
Now it will be dispalyed in fullscreen mode. Scrollbars will only be available if alv doesn't fit entire screen, but this you can't avoid.
    Regards

  • Screen Size and Resolution on Remote Access Mavericks

    Hi Forum,
Accessing my Mac Mini remotely and it has a new install of Mavericks. The Screen size and shape and resolution isn't right, but Screen options in System doesn't give me any options. Is this because, physically, no screen is attached? Do only screen sizes and options come up when a screen is attached?
it currently shows 1280x960 [i think - just turned off the mac to get back to work] or 'scaled to fit'. Neither is right for the MBP remote access,. It was fine before i upgraded.
    any ideas?

Hi xerhino, and a warm welcome to the forums!
    Good work on your part!
Hope your doing OK with the Snow, Ice, and Winds!

  • Whenever i am using my laptop and my palms are on the base of the laptop and i am typing all of sudden... my screen size keeps resizing bigger or smaller

i try to keep my thumb palms off the mouse pad when i am typing but every now and then my screen resizes larger or smaller until i take my left palm off the keyboard base its only when my left palm is resting on the base next to the touch pad. i type pretty fast so it gets annoying and yes it also jumps screens or reverts back to previous message and i have to choose ctrl z to undo and get back to my message i was typing... it also switches tabs on me as well... not sure why my palm being on the left of the keypad on the base should effect anything but it does after a while. and i have to stop what i am doing...and go to the firefox menu and change the screen size back down to 100% sometimes it goes up to 200-300 other times it goes down to 70-80% i find it annoying i i wish there was a way to turn off the screen resize in the setup panel. if its just left to be 100% i am happy with that... i don't need it to be bigger or smaller... there should be a way to LOCK it down... i understand that there are people out there with eye problems and needs to have the screen size increase using the + or - but there should be a lock so it just stays no matter what is happening on my keypad or touch pad or base of the pad... that screen size will not increase or decrease. unless i turn off the lock... perhaps this is something they can implement in the next version or do a quick update of the browser
