Screen states "ipod is disabled connect to itunes"
My iopod touch is "locked" and the screen says "ipod is disabled connect to itunes." Connecting to itunes doesnt help. What do I do?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I have an ipod touch that hasn't been used in a while. We want to use it now, but the screen says "ipod disabled. connect to itunes". When I connect to itunes it tells me to enter my passcode, however the ipod will not allow me to do anything (and I don't know the code anyway). I tried to put it in recovery mode as someone suggested by holding the home button while plugging the ipod up from the computer, but I never did get the "connect to itunes" symbol, I continually got the same screen saying "ipod disabled connect to itunes". Help!

when i turn on ipod i get a messages that states ipod is disabled connect to itunes.
when i connect to computer and bring up itunes i get a message that it cant connect to ipod because its locked with a passcode
you must enter passcode on the ipod before it can be used with itunes.
so ipod wont let me enter passcode or connect to itunes.
ive tried to reset and tried to force recovery mode but neither of those options work either.
any other ideas? any help would be great

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I put the password in my Ipod and now I am trying to put it again but it is not working....I tried to connect with the Itunes and it is not working because to the Itunes work with my Ipod, I need the password first, which I do not know.
