Screen stuck in "Plug In" mode after download?

When downloading the new software for iPhone I received an error message reading that the download was unsuccessful and now my phone is stuck in the screen that shows "Plug into iTunes" .... can anyone help? Ive done everything from trying different ports to restarting computer to reinstalling iTunes....Thanks

Unfortunately the internal drive has malfunctioned. If you can't restore from a Time Machine backup in Recovery mode, there is probably nothing else you can do. You could try to reinstall OS X and then transfer your data in Setup Assistant, but that's a 5 GB download and is not likely to happen unless you have satellite Internet, and maybe not even then.

  • S10 screen stuck on "factory test" mode after replacing ribbon

After replacing the LCD ribbon on my S10 netbook (with one the exact same) it seems to be stuck on some "factory test" mode. It flickers between solid red, green, and blue and also some gradients and other patterns.
I'm still able to use my netbook using an external monitor.
I don't want to use OneKey because 1) I'm not certain it'd fix it + 2) there's a broken ext3 partition that I need to recover files from. If it's the only way to do a reset (don't know) then so be it.
    Thanks for any help!

I should mention that when I boot to Windows XP and select "Notebook" from the graphics output options, the notebook screen goes back to displaying the test patterns. Otherwise it's off when the external monitor is plugged in.

My iphone 5 is stuck in recovery mode after downloading new apple software, does anyone know how to fix this I keep getting error message 3014 ?

i dont know but you went through all of this
Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. FollowiTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

  • HT201210 My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. Is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?

My itouch screen froze showing "plug to itunes" after trying to update to iOS6. It still can be turned on and off. But the screen froze showing that message. I perhaps need to restore it. But is there any ways to export all the pictures from it before restoring?

Only if y can get the iPod out of recovery mode with the program. Otherwise you will have to restore via iTunes which erases the iPod.

  • Screen resolution changes on iphone 4s after downloading OS 6.

Screen resolution changes on iphone 4s after downloading OS 6. Can't see entire home screen. I must reboot to restore original resolution, but while zoomed I can't see the ok button. What is the fix?

No one here knows when the next iOS update will be released or what changes it will include until Apple releases it.
iOS 6.1.2 does not disable Wi-Fi, the vast majority of issues with iPhones that appear after an iOS update can be resolved with basic troubleshooting which is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
If that does not resolve, then the issue is hardware related and no amount of iOS updates or restores will ever get it functional again.

  • I keep getting blocked plug in even after downloading adobe flash. what can i do to unblock it

    I have a Mac 0s x 10.6.8 with snow leopard
When I try to watch iplayer or utube it comes up as blocked plug in even after I have installed the adobe flash as requested.
    What can I do please?

You may need to uninstall all previous versions of Adobe Flash Player, first, then reinstall the latest version to your Mac
    https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
Then, reinstall the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.

  • Iphone 4s stuck in recovery mode after downloading iOS 6

I installed iOS 6 on my PC(win 7) and connected my phone but when the download finished, it left my phone in the recovery mode or the screen with the USB and Itunes symbol. Ive tried almost 8 times to restore my phone but every time the same thing happens; it downloads the update but nothing changes on the phone. I've tried it on 3 computers and still no success, so my phone is just a paper weight as of right now. does anyone know things that could help? thanks

I was finally able to restore my phone and apply the backup, but my 4S is now basically an iTouch.  I have no cellular network service and Verizon can't get it restored.
And since I'm on an enterprise plan, I have to wait until next week to get anything done with the phone.
I thought I was safe updating my iPhone...
But as the old adage goes... "Just say no to version  .0"

  • Iphone 5 stuck on plug into itunes after battery was depleted

Just got the iphone 5 on Dec 23, 2012 today it died on me(first time since I got it) and when I went to plug it in, it seemed like after 5 min or so it was going to come back on but, instead it would just flash the apple Logo and turn back off, i went ahead and hard reseted the phone and thats when it went into recovery mode and displayed the plug into itunes screen , now its stuck there and recover/restore fails with a code 21. and wont go anywhere from there Note: i have tried on 5 different PC's now with no luck. Heeeeeeelp!!!

Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.
    Error 20, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 34, 36, 37, 40
These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

  • 2009 i7 iMac Screen Stuck at Black during and after Startup

Have had this iMac since early March 2010, its been great and my favorite apple product to date. 4 Weeks ago I left to Europe and left my computer OFF and with the power cord not plugged into the wall. I came back, plugged it all back in and turned it on...everything worked fine, surfing the net and CS:S i leave again last week to Denver and left the computer in the same way, OFF and unplugged. I came back today turned it on, i hear the fans, I hear the computer starting up, my external hdd gets power but my logitech mouse would not get power through USB. Ten minutes later my screen is still black, no flickering no nothing just black. I then went ahead and turned it off via power button and disconnected all peripherals mentioned earlier and still nothing. Called applecare they made me do some power cycle thing and still nothing, now I have a Genius appointment tomorrow afternoon....any ideas? Could the screen just have died or some connection on the board burned out? Thanks in advanced!

HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...
    Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't make a difference, try Resetting the SMC
    iMac since early March 2010
Should still be under the one year limited warranty.

  • Stuck in osx utility mode after intalling maverick

I ran an update to install Maverick, shut down, then when I restarted, I was forced to the OS X Utility menu, and nothing I do gets me out of it. I have multiple Time Machine backups, but they never actually restart the machine, it just goes right back to the utility menu.
I'm currently volunteering in the middle of the Serengeti in Tanzania, so taking it to the Genius Bar is not an option. Can anyone help?
    Many thanks in advance!!
    Cheers,

  • HT1688 iPhone stuck in non stop reboot after downloading iOS 6

I was finished downloading iOS 6 on my iPhone and it restarted and started installing. Over half way through the installation the phone crashed and then started to constantly go to the apple logo and crash and repeat. It won't sync up with iTunes no matter what I do! I have absolutely no idea how to fix this and it is making me VERY angry! I've only had this for less than 2 weeks!
