Screen turns green and red

occasionally (4-5 times in the past year since i got it) the screen of my notebook turns green with some red lines. When this happens, the computer fan turns on really fast. I have to hold down the power button to turn off computer and not overheat it (i'm guessing). Does this have to do with overheating? is it a problem or just a nuisance?

Could you please give me the exact model number of your notebook?

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sifnout and sign back in
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having display issues with your iPad 2 and you have already attempted to restart it. To completely isolate the issue, let's try resetting your device as well:

After erasing and setting up as a new device, your device is now in a factory configuration. Test to determine if erasing and setting up as a new device resolved the issue. Content on the device may have caused unexpected behavior.

IPod 5 screen turned green and then turned off.

I was using my iPod touch 5 and the screen started turning green and thin black lines were appearing. The screen turned black but the iPod was still on. I used the reboot to try turn it on again (home and on/off button pressed together) and it turned off completely. I left it for the day to cool down, because it was really hot suddenly. When I tried to turn it on again, nothing happened when i tried pressing home button, holding the on button and the reboot. Please help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. The hotness suggests a hardware problem

If i go to high res (720p or higher) my screen turns green and the video fast forwards to the end.

I have windows 7 64 bit and use mozila firefox 15.0.1
I have got the problem that when i select higher resolution in videos (such as on youtube) that at 480p it will run for a while but then just stops even though the buffering is already complete.
If i go to higher resolutions like 720p or 1080p the video will run for a while again but then the screen goes green and the movie fast forwards to the end preventing me to watch movies without problems at higher res.

Could you try temporarily disabling protected mode to see if that makes a difference (instructions towards the bottom of the FAQ linked below)? I'll circle back with our video team to see if they've made any progress with this issue.

Mac randomly crashes, screen turns green and white, and it works fine upon restart. What causes this and how can I fix it?

My MacBook Pro 13 inch (I've had it for about a year and a half) has started crashing randomly. It happens about once a week and it will happen when I'm in the middle of either watching a video, typing a paper, playing a game, etc. The computer clicks loudly and the screen becomes a series of green and white lines. It works fine upon restart, but it's still annoying whenever it happens. What causes this? Is it fixable?

The image suggests an issue with the graphics board.
The issue may happen more when your machine is generating additional heat, as when you're watching or processing video, or gaming. I can't say for certain, of course, but certain things will reduce the chance of the problem recurring:
1. Keep your machine as cool as possible. When there's additional heat, turn up the fan, or use an app like HD Fan Control to reduce the heat. Use your computer the way you see fit, but be conscious of heat.
2. Back up on a regular basis. Logic board problems can lead to more serious issues down the line, so backing up is a good way of safeguarding your data.
3. Look up "Logic Board Woes" on Google for a comprehensive discussion of the issue.

What can I do about my FaceTime screen turning green and then freezing?

My screen for facetime freezes and then turns green

I (& my brother) have the same issue when facetiming my sister. She's got an iphone 4s (updated to the current iOS) & my brother & I have iphone 4. The call connects, we see her for a couple of seconds, then it goes all blocky & green screens & drops the call. My brother has also tried on his ipad & gets the same issue, only it reboots the ipad (but it doesn't seem to do that with our phones).
Have had a quick look online but haven't found anything.... only a video that someone posted (which shows what I've described above!)

My iPhone 5 screen turns green when watching videos or using FaceTime

When I watch videos or use FaceTime on my iPhone the screen turns green and I can only hear the sound. I have reset and turned off as suggested but still no joy.
Any other suggestions? This just randomly started happening one day.

update to above - its a 5c I'm using.

So I turned it off, and the next day I turned it on and it began to work just fine, but suddenly the same thing happened again, and when I restart the computer again there are these green and some red pixels everywere.
I've read 10.7.3 is giving people many problems, but I never saw that it gave one like this. How can I fix this, or what will Apple do to fix this problem they caused me with their update.

I started making a movie and all was well. I added a few more pictures and some sound and played it back. It plays so far and then the pictures break up into colors and then the screen turns green. The sound continues.

Sorry, everyone. I think I may have figured out what it was all down to...........
I had left the IDE ribbon cable plugged into my third HDD, with the power cable unplugged. I did this so as not to endanger my years of work on the third drive, until Windows had setup. I have in the past, accidentally chosen the wrong partiton to format, so this seemed a good way to avoid it from then on.
This was not a problem on my old system, but it seems this system doesn't like it.
I must have left the drive completely unplugged, the times Windows did setup. Amazing really. I couldn't see the woods for the trees.
Anyway, I'm sorry to have bothered everyone with my problem.

I am using IDE drives until I can afford SATA. But many thanks for the heads-up on the NF4-SATA compliance, I'll be sure to bare that in mind.
I didn't actually check the NVRAID/IDE ROM version before updating the bios, so I have no idea if the revision was changed when Liveupdate flashed the Bios, I'm afraid. I didn't know they would be updated at the same time.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue with the Video not working correctly or green. Try clicking on the green screen, in the tab named Local Storage and put 10 KB and the green screen should disappear.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating as the graphic driver could need updating.
Have you tried another browser? This link will help you update your browser if needed.
