Screen turns red

When ever I try to edit some movies I get Red scratches or just giant red flashes(screen turns red) over my film and in some parts it just stops rendering or playing half way through the film.
The files were .MOD, but I rename them to .mpg and they are off of an SD card.
Why is it doing this? It doesn't do this with my videos that are not formerly .MOD.

Well, you answer your own question: MOD is a MPEG derivative not properly supported by AE and/ or your system CoDecs. There's realyl nothing you can do but use other file format conversion tools or wait for CS4.

IiPhone 6 plugged in to recharge, lit up, screen turned red, ro green to black and could not get it to work. Pushing buttons cause Apple icon to appear, then did the color thing again. After unplugging for 15 minutes, it seemed to reboot and work fine all day. This occured 2 at hotels on 2 different days. Anybody have this occur and know what the deal Is. Working fine now.

I have seen this posted a number of times and a number of users claim that it works. Smack the iPad firmly on the back - don't whack it. See if that helps. Be careful and lay it on your lap securely and make sure that it is not in danger of falling .... Please!

i have an issue on my iphone 4S display. The screen turns red sometimes brown and I can barely see the text and the icon of eact app. It basically dims as well. I tried to reboot it, still doesnt work.
please help me to overcome this.

Howdy Atika Azmi,
If your phone screen is still intermitently changing color and dimming, I would next reset the phone with these steps:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Test the issue out for a bit and if it persists, I would next backup and restore the phone with iTunes and re test:
Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes

Screen turned red

I just got a macbook pro 13inch about 2 weeks ago. I was using my computer like normal and all of a sudden the screen turned red i could still use it but i would like to know what is going on. The screen is back to normal but sometimes it flickers back and forth. This shouldn't happen on a new computer. So if any could help me out.

My iPad screen turned red all of a sudden. I don't know what to do but I'm freaking out! I've tried slapping the back of my iPad but it still doesn't work! This is the second time it's happened.

I assume the iPad was dropped. It will need to be repaired or replaced.

Screen turns red when dark

My wonderful little Indigo iMac 400mhz slot load is acting funny. When there is too much darkness on the screen, such as a dark picture that takes up a majority of the screen, it seems to turn red. Its as if the computer sees the darkness as a problem at tries to correct it by turning the screen reddish. Any ideas?

Nah, there is nothing wrong, you just need to calibrate it...

Did you drop it?
Have you tried a reset?
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

Dropped iPad back screen turned red

My iPad fell off of a shelf and the black light turned red on the screen I was devastated! After looking up on the internet what people with this similar issue have done most said to just try dropping it again and worked for many. I first dropped it at about 2feet w/ case on flat, but the screen was still messed up, then I tried dropping it at 2 feet by the corner of the iPad at that did the trick! I am so thankful I dont have to junk this one, thanks iPad forum :)

If your black light screen is now red from dropping your iPad, then try dropping it from about 2 feet on one of the bottom corners( there are 4 corners on the iPad) so it will be a tiled vertical drop.. So don't just drop it flat on the ground. And try to do it on a carpeted or rubber surface for less impact. Also leave the case on so there is no exterior damage

You can try resetting it, hold down the sleep and home key, past the red slider, and until you see the silver apple and it restarts.
may/may not help. Beyond that, make an appointment at your local apple store because it's possible that the iPad's equivalent of a graphics card has issues. Time for hte pros to take a look.

Hello,My display screen turns red when I open it--but only for a short time ; it returns to normal colours when I physically bend or jiggle the screen. I tried to chnage the colur display (brightness, gamma, etyc.) but problem remains.Help!

Hi Yaroba, This sounds like a pinched or damaged cable between the screen and system board.If you are still under warranty you should contact your local HP support centre.

Imported SWF background turns red (CP4)

Hey, guys.
I'm working on an e-learning project which requires me to embed an interactive swf file in my Captivate project.
It all works out fine except that the background of the swf turns red. I have tried a few things with the embedded swf in my attempts to make it work.
1. I placed a white box below all other elements. It did not work.
2. Turned the box into a movie clip. It did not work.
3. I noticed that the embedded image elements kept their backgrounds so I made a white png image and place it below all other elements. No change.
Please see the attached image. If anyone have any idea of what may cause this and how to solve the problem, please share!

Does it begin by displaying some red blocks, then continue until the whole screen turns red and it remains that way? If so, you are likely seeing memory exhausted. Otherwise known as the "Red Screen Of Death". If that's the case, I'm guessing there is a lot of Full Motion Video clips?

i did the same and the screen turned red and unstable. but after tapping on the back,carefully, a few times and turning off a many times, now overnight ALL is normal again! so, dokumenter not panic, but try a few soft tricks before repair shop visit! after all, APPLE makes good quality products!!!

I tried to update my ipod 4th gen. but when I came to see how much charge the screen was red and it wasnt charged and i cant use my ipod. the screen turned blue also one time, and now the apple logo comes up and its bright then dim and it stays there help

I tried to update my iPod 4th generation while it was charging and when I came back to check on it the screen was red and it wouldnt go off, and my ipod wasnt charging like it was supposed to. I found out how to get the color of the screen off but my ipod always has the low battery thing and when I charge it sometimes the screen turns blue or the apple logo comes up bright and then it gets dim and stays there. My ipod wont turn on, and I really want it to work again. Help me please! Also, I noticed my ipod battery hasnt been lasting long as it should efore this happened.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Screen turns to black, red green ect.

Ok so I have been having this problem with my G4 ibook. It will be fine and working ok. Then it will suddenly turn to a black screen, then red, then green, then gray, white and back to black. There are no lines on the screen just a solid color. When I turn off the comp. and turn it back on all that happens is the fan turns on. However, if I unplug the comp. and take out the battery, wait 15 min the comp will reboot. But the problem continues. This problem happened once before and I reinstalled the OS on the comp. and the problem stopped. But now its back. Any ideas?

You may want to try the following:
1. Reset the Power Management Unit (PMU): This is done by having the computer shut down, Pressing the combination of ControlOption+ShiftPower button, release all of these, then turn the machine back on, you'll probably need to reset some settings, such as the date & time.
2. Rest the PRAM: This is done by holding down the combination of CommandOption+PR, hold these down until you here the startup chime a couple of times.
See if the issue still comes up after each step.
3. See if the issue comes up while doing a Safe Boot (hold down Shift while starting up), this loads the minimum amount of items to start the system. If the issue doesn't come up, it's one of two things, either a.) You have an application that's interfering, or b.) the system is corrupted
4. If you have a display adapter and an external monitor, hook the laptop up to it and see if you still have an issue.
If you find yourself coming to the last step, then chances are that it is a hardware issue and you will need to take it in to be repaired.
