Screen vs logical coordinates (2D)

Hello, I'm new to JavaFX. After investigation I didn't find how not to use screen coordinates. I would like to work in "logical" coordinates rather than hardware/pixel based ones. For instance having a kind of pane which starts at (-7.2,18.4) and ends at (186.,1872.9) and is physically drawn from (0,0) to (640,480).
I tried to apply a translation and a scaling factor but the result is that the drawing shape (don't know how to call it) is also affected which is not what is intended. I tried to correct the drawing shape without great success as some artifacts appear.
Is there a way to work in logical coordinates?

If you get the same scale on X and Y, simply divide your stroke width with your scale. This has to be done manually each time the scale is changed.
If you do not have the same scale on both axis then there is no easy way to do it.
Now, this was a solution suggested to answer your initial query: working in virtual space with layout at different physical location and scale.
If you prefer not to play with transformations, then you can also achieve the same by scaling your virtual coordinates to physical ones using simple divisions when layout out stuff on screen: realCoord = realMin + (realMax - realMin) * (virtCoord - virtMin) / (virtMax - virtMin).
As your are now always working in physical coordinates, no need to scale the stroke anymore.

Go to SE36 (logical database Builder).First enter PNPCE in Logical Database and press documentation,here you will get the details of exactly what is PNPCE and how it works.After that select selections in subojects in se36 only and enter display ,there you have the include from where you acn get the idea.

Hi,
Check the attributes of the report program where you assign the LDB. You can see the parameter Selection Screen press the F4 and check the LBD is provided any Blank screen or not.
For some LDB's you can find the Report Category in the attribute section of the report. either you can create the new screen or standard screen might be provided with Blank.
Check there ..
If you don't find you can use LOOP AT SCREEN..ENDLOOP to hide the fields of LDB.
Which LDB you are using.

Modify selection screen for Logical Database 'SDF'

I need to make a section of the standard selection screen for logical database 'SDF' invisible. I have tried the differet selection screen options of the report attributes, but none of the provided ones give me what I want.
How can I find the name of the screen group for the "Line Item Selection" block of the selection screen so that I can make it invisible when the selection screen is displayed?

I tried to do this:
Loop at screen.
         if   screen-group4 = '026'
           or screen-group4 = '027'
           or screen-group4 = '028'.
             screen-invisible = 1.
             modify screen.
         endif.
endloop.
This removed the selection text for these fields, but the Line Item Selection block is still visible, and the actual input fields are also visible. They now look like password input fields with all ***** in them.
What am I doing wrong?

Selection screen flow logic change not taking affect. Please help!

   When I am trying to change the selection scren flow logic I get the following message:
Selection screen: Report generation makes screen changes ineffective.
Whatever I am changing is not taking affect in runtime.
Even though I have activated the changed code for the screen
What shall I do resolve this?

You should not be changing the screen flow logic of a standard selection screen 1000. It will always be regenerated. In order to modify the standard selection screen, you can do this in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN output event and loop at screen and change the attributes.
Loop at screen.
if screen-name = 'P_CHECK'.
    screen-input = '0'.
    modify screen.
endif.
endloop.

The modules that we write either in PBO or PAI block , are called by the run time environment on the basis of user action or whether they are called in a order in which we have written these modules ?

How to enable the 'FIND' Button in Module Pool Screen. Logic please

   I am writing one Module Pool Program. I have one requirement like I have to put FIND, FIND+ buttons on different screens.
   I am able to do the code for normal FIND. According to my requirement I have to display one Popup when the user click on FIND button. Once he entered some value it should find all the records and all the fields and display the list of hits in another popup. This whole process should as same as in SE11 Transaction functionality.
   Example: SE11 ->Table Entries -> and click the FIND Button. I need the same functionality in my Program.
   Please let me know ASAP. If you provide some code sample it will be Great.

If you have just implemented the code for FIND I believe u need to add some little modifications for FIND+.
U need only to manage the position of the last found value, so u need to go on from that position for FIND+.
The position should have the two coordinates X (the position in the record) and Y (the number of the record):
- FOUND should start for postion = 0, 0
- FOUND+ should start for position = X, Y

i have been looking all around and i got few of the below methods.

Selection screen of logical database PCH

Hi all,
I am writing a report using the logical database PCH. For this report I need the full selection screen of the logical database, especially the structure parameters. However, wenn I test my program, I only get a reduced selection screen without the structure parameters and the "further conditions". According to the documentation I found, this behaviour appears when you set the selection screen version to '900' in the program attributes. In my program, the selection screen version is empty, and I still get the reduced screen. The missing selection fields are even totally unknown to the ABAP compiler. E.g. when I try to assign the field PCHWEGID in my report, I get a "field unknown" error message from the compiler.
I have compared my report in various aspects to the standard report RHSTRU00 which shows the behaviour I want, I did not find any difference, and yet I get a different behaviour.
Any ideas how to fix this?

In the Program Attributes, click on the pushbutton 'HR Report Category'.Click on the 'Create' icon in the pop-up window that comes up. You will get a list of all the available Report Categories. Go through the list & if you don't find one that suits you, select one that is closest & click on the 'Copy As' icon in the menu bar..
Now, you can remove the unwanted fields & add yours for selection. save it & and attach it to report in the attributes.

Customize selection screen of logical database AFI of report RIAUFK20 ?

Hi Experts,
I have to customize the report RIAUFK20 which use logical database AFI.
I have to do the following:
- Change the field labels of some fields in the selection screen.
- Add more field into selection screen which does not appear in the nodes of logical database structure, for example TIDNR in table EQUZ.
So what is the best way to achieve that result?
I intended to copy the AFI into ZAFI and change, but still struggle with add fields which does not appear in the structure of logical database.

Specify your logical database on Program "attributes".
It will display the standard selection screen of LDB. Now in your report, create selection screen as in other programs for the additional fields.
It will first display the field of LDB, followed by fields provided by your selection screen.

TO HAVE USER DEFINED SELECTION SCREEN USING LOGICAL DATABASE AFI

and you can include your own sel-option and parameters
