Screen wide slideshow with flexible page width?

I managed to place images that adjust to any browser width that are full screen wide, now I would like to know if I can achieve the same but with a couple of images into a slide show.
I don't mean a full screen slideshow only about 350 px height in the middle of the page.

i've been trying to find out if this is possible too. my only thought is for now until they have full width slideshows that you would have to create a gif that changed the photos for you. i haven't tried it yet because i was hoping to find a better answer but i think that's the only way to accomplish this currently

  • Slide show with fixed page width

    I made this previously in another side (e.g. thaisailing.com): to have a slide show at 100% page width so that it scales from left to right, independant of the window size. But this time it will not succeed. If I take a rectancle and fill it with one image, it works fine. But not with a slide show element. It always goes back to the side of the inner space only. How can I have a slide show with full page with (not full screen)? Thanks,

  • Problem with increasing page width

    Hi,
    When I try to increase iWeb page width from 684px to 900px, there is an unexpected redundant white area at the bottom right corner of the page.
    Please see the screenshot here:

    I know that I can remove the "Color Fill" in Inspector. However, I want to keep it!
    What should I do to remove that redundant white area?
    Thank you!

    Rosydream ~ If you're happy with so many application icons in your Dock, there's no need to read on...
    The Dock on your Mac's Desktop looks very crowded such that each small icon is perhaps difficult to identify. If you’d like to reduce the number of applications from the Dock, you can do so at any time. Simply grab the icon of the document, folder, or application you’d like to remove, and drag it out of the Dock. Release the mouse button, and the item will vanish in a puff of virtual smoke:
    ...Or you can Control-click an icon and choose +"Remove from Dock"+. Remaining, frequently used icons in the Dock will then be larger and more easily identifiable, and removed applications will still be available in the Applications folder. For an example of how the Dock can look on a 15" MB Pro, click on this thumbnail:
    If you later start an application you've removed from the Dock, you can Control-click its icon in the Dock and choose +Keep in Dock+. You can read more about the Dock here:

  • How to print ALV with full page width used?

    Dear all,
    I have a report which print out with a small font if some of the fields have a long data content, while there a large white space on the right hand side.
    After a few test, I think the following cause the problem:
    1) The line column is less then the page column
    2) The setup leave write space unused in the right side
        (Tested by setup a format which have the same column count as the testing print out data)
    Would like to know are there any work around on this.

  • Cannot adjust page width to fit to screen size on some PCs with IE

    Hello friends, I am using APEX 4.0 and IE9 on different Windows 7 PCs . The page will go way off the screen to the right on one PC, and fits nicely inside the screen on another PC. This problem does not occur in Firefox on any PC. I have used Firebug to try to isolate the template or css settings. Using Theme_4, I have a breadcrumb region and 4 reports regions. One of the reports regions is in column 1 and 3 regions are in column 2. Display point is Page Template Body (3. Items above region content) for all the reports regions. The CSS is #themes/theme_4/css/theme_4_0.css. The template is One Level Tabs (Right Sidebar/Table Based). I tried various width="" using px and % under Edit Page Template-Definition-Body (see below). I tried style="width:800px" within the <div> tags. I have tried various other changes to theme_4_0.css and apex_4_0.css with no visible change to the page width on the obstinate PCs. I reset IE setting and deleted all personal settings on both PCs with no changes to either one, one fits on the screen and the other does not. The issue is that most of our users use IE so most of them will have to live with using the horizontal scroll bar to see the regions in column 2, unless we switch them all to Firefox (not a bad option, except that option works for our users only, we have no control over external browsers). I have tried suggestions from many discussion threads, as this problem has bothered us for quite some time. I know this is an IE problem, but any help is appreciated. Thank you.
    "|" represents screen size and "-" is the regions/content for the "bad" PCs.
    |----------|----------
    The "good" PCs look like this:
    |----------|
    Peter
    <div id="body">
    <table class="tbl-body" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" summary="">
    <tbody>
    <tr>
    <td class="tbl-main" width="100%">#REGION_POSITION_02##BOX_BODY#</td>
    <td class="tbl-sidebar">#REGION_POSITION_03#</td>
    </tr>
    </tbody>
    </table>
    </div>

    I think your concerns are very reasonable. But I want to sort of refocus things a little bit for you here... it's not really a PC vs Mac issue... Rather, it's specifically an Internet Explorer issue. And you might say that this is synonymous...still 98% of the world uses IE, and you would be correct. Hopefully when the final version of IE7 comes out, it will finally embrace some of the modern day OPEN web standards without trying to make too many standards of its own (this is Microsoft, though).
    Anyways, in the meantime, I guess we all try to make the best of it. It's very easy to conclude that iWeb is not a viable tool for you, as long as you have something else to "fall back" on. With my limited knowledge of all things HTML, I have no such luxury. Instead, I have put up a notice on my site for IE users only that the site might not look its best on IE....this notice also encourages IE users to use FireFox, which is very much like Safari and will in 99% of cases display your iWeb pages just like you expect. You can see how I've done this here (but you have to surf from IE)... http://blog.dirtdoog.com
    I think many people in the PC world understand the limitations of IE. Certainly many don't, but you have to consider your likely audience, I guess. I believe that your website content is king. If your content is compelling enough to your intended audience, they will jump through hoops to see it in its full glory....but you have to make them aware of the problem. That's why I have chosen to take the path that I have taken.
    Let me know what you think.

  • "Full Width" Slideshow with overflow hidden?

    Hello,
    I am using the slideshow widget with a huge width  at the top of my page, underneath follows the content
    with 842px width. Side width and column width is also set to 842px.
    The Site aligns horizontally nicely. I want the slideshow to be cut off left and right by the browser width.
    100% browser width,  hidden overflow.
    On the left side, the slideshow is "cut off" nicely by the browser, no scrolling to the left
    is possible.
    On the right side, one can scroll all the way over to the right corner of the "oversized" slideshow.
    Is it possible to set the slideshow to 100% of the browser width and then hide the overflow-x? I did not even find
    a way to do that manually, browsing though the html export's code. The most important <div> is generated in the depth of the widget's .js.
    Or is there any other way to prevent the user from scrolling to the right? (hiding the bar is not enough nowadays, being trackpads all over)
    Can I send the muse file to you?
    Thank you very much in advance!!
    Mike

    FYI, if you want to keep the vertical scrolling capabilities, you should actually add:
    overflow-y: scroll;
    overflow-x: hidden;
    instead of just overflow: hidden;
    BUT thank you so much for finally saying this can be done in the header section of Page properties.  I've been trying to create a "full width" effect for ages!!

  • Full screen slideshow with 2 photos

    Hi,
    I would like to know how to create a full sceen slideshow with two clikable photo inside, like this website : http://www.eturaweddings.com
    Thanks for your help
    David

    Hi David
    This would be a bit tricky as you have to use a fullscreen widget , accordion and tooltip or any other composition inside accordion or you can use different pages to render similar effect.
    So for example
    - Insert fullscreen widget
    - Insert Accordion with page width ( Use same image which is used for fullscreen )
    - Insert a tooltip where the trigger would be half size of target container and setup the action on mouse click ( you have adjust the trigger and target in layers panel )
    Sorry but that would be the workaround , I know a bit lengthy one.
    Or you can create separate pages where you can use fullscreen widget for different pages using same images.
    Additionally you can try to use slideshows in Muse exchange library :

    Thanks,

  • Auto adjustment of page orientation causes printing issues with documents that have a page width greater than its page height.

    Hi,
    Since an upgrade from Word 2003 to Word 2010, we are experiencing printing issues with certain
    documents that have a page width greater than its page height.
    In Word 2003, it was no problem to set the page width greater than the page height while setting the page orientation to "portrait".
    In Word 2010, this seems impossible: despite leaving the page orientation to "portrait", if one changes the page width/height as stated,
    Word 2010 automatically adjusts the orientation to "landscape". Resetting the orientation to "portrait" will flip the page's width/heigth settings.
    This behaviour causes printing problems: the page prints out 90° rotated.
    I do not believe this is a printer driver issue: I tried several different printer drivers, and all give the same (bad) result. Setting the printer driver's page orientation settings (before printing) makes no difference, as
    Word 2010 seems to force the page orientation settings.
    Inserting the documents 90° rotated is not an option, since it causes problems with the printing margins.
    This is very annoying, since we have to print official documents of a municipality (driver's licences).
    Is there a workaround for this issue?

    Is it possible to set a javascript to turn off the preference "Fill screen with one page at a time" when entering in Full Screen mode? So that way, it will override Acrobat or Reader application preferences when the PDF is open on users computers.

    I would like to use slideshow in lightroom to export my video as a full screen 1920x1080 video with text overlays.  I am using text overlay in lightroom as it reads from the metadata that is easy for me to input in the library screen.  When i export from lightroom slideshow and choose the 1920x1080 resolution the end product is a very small video in the middle of a black background.  i have double checked and do not have any borders turned on.  Another option would be to export from the library but lr mogrify does not seem to put text overlays on video either.  Any input would be welcome.

    I dont understand anything you said in your post.
    Do you have a specific question about video production?
    The forums are for individual technical or creative issues that users have with video production. I am sur someone will be able to help you, but and to get a response it is best to ask a specific question.
    Is this about a technical problem you have or something about setting up a web site? If its the latter this is the wrong forum.

  • Firefox is hanging when the page scrolls down to a html5 video or the page to a slideshow with fade effect

    Every time a page has a html5 video or a slideshow with fade effect Firefox 3.6 becomes terriblely slow. It freezes with this test: http://demos.hacks.mozilla.org/openweb/HWACCEL/
    I have Fedora 14 and before that Fedora 13 and the problem happens with both.
    The same doesn't happen on Opera or Google Chrome.
    '''UPDATE 1''': I have already tryed the Safe Mode and the problem happens the same.
    '''UPDATE 2:''' This page full of videos scroll smothly without any problemas: http://brettgaylor.tumblr.com/tagged/webmademovies

    I forgot to say that I did tryed the Safe Mode just to see if the slow was not being caused by some extension or plugin. However the result was all the same. By the way, the slow happens even if there is only one page opened. I am not thinking it is something related to the ATI video card or even Fedora because the same slow does't happen in Chrome and Opera...

    Hi jholzworth,
    It sounds like you might have accidentally hit the zoom button. Try hitting ''CTRL + 0'' to return it to normal size. Just so you are aware, ''CTRL'' and ''+'' will zoom in and ''CTRL'' and ''-'' will zoom out.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Playing Slideshow with numerous photo pages

    I have 5 different photo pages on my iweb site. I split them up so the load time would be quicker. Is there any way to play the slideshow and include all the photos on every one of the 5 pages? Right now, you have to play the slideshow on each seperate page.

    I don't know of a way to do this with the Apple enhanced slideshow. The best thing I can think of is to have direct links to your slideshows on one page. This would make things a little simpler for viewers in that they wouldn't have to open up each photo page just to get to the slideshow...
    You can link directly to your slideshows using the following URL format...
    http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb/sitename/photopagename_files/slideshow.html
    Replace:
    username = your .Mac account username
    sitename = your sitename as set in iWeb
    photopagename = the name you gave to each photo page
    You can put links for the slideshows on a page like "Slideshow Part One", "Slideshow Part Two", etc... Maybe you don't even need people to see the actual photo pages at all...just link them to the slideshows!

  • Changing page width with template

    I'm trying to create a wedding website in iWeb using one of the templates. I don't like the narrow "Apple" look so I tried to adjust it to 1000px. I found the Page inspector/Layout box and changed the page width easily enough but it looked terrible because there didn't seem to be a way to alter the background images in the template.
    After a lot of poking around online, I found instructions for duplicating and then altering an iWeb template. I went into it and changed all the images to 1000p. I thought that had solved the problem since it looks great in iWeb. But when I published it, it looks terrible. It seems like it's finding the old 700px images somewhere. Check it out: http://web.me.com/kamoore63/Wedding_Website/Home.html
    Does anyone have any ideas what files or things I might have to change to have this appear correctly?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Publish the site to a folder on the desktop and check the files in there to see if the older narrow files are there. If so you probably will have to do a Publish Entire Site to totally replace all of the files on the server.
    What you're experiencing is why many recommend starting with either the white or black theme and crating your own layout. Editing the theme itself can be hit or miss and the theme may not stay changed thru an subsequent update of the application.
