Screenshot on an iPad

How do you take a screenshot on an iPad?

The simplest way to make iPad screenshot is by pressing the Sleep button and Home button. It's my first choice to share my iPad screen with my friends. And if you have a broken Home button or a badly damaged Sleep/Wake button, you can use Assistive Touch to do this trick. To take iPad screenshot with it, just press the Assistive Touch icon and tap "Device > More > Screenshot", then your screenshot will be saved in your Camera Roll.

  • Multiple screenshots from an iPad?

Has anyone any experience in capturing multiple screen shots from an iPad? We produce educational iPad apps containing many 'pages' and when proofreading, manually capturing screenshots one at a time is very time consuming. Is there software that would allow you to capture all screenshots automatically?

What some people do is log into their mail through a web browser, if the provider permits. This allows you to log out at the end of a session.
Is it possible to merge our music libraries on the iPad? (She’d only have a few songs that I don’t, but I’d have a lot that she doesn’t.
No, you can't merge iTunes accounts.
I agree with the previous comments. If you try to share the iPad in the way you're describing, it's going to be an ongoing source of frustration. The iPad is just not designed that way.
    Best of luck.

  • How to take a screenshot on an iPad 1

  • Emailing screenshots from new iPad are blurry?

Take a screenshot (power and menu button at same time) then email it to yourself from Photos. Photos are blurry???
Sending an older screenshot from my iPad2 is fine. I did find that if you select edit and open the picture in iPhoto and send from there it's okay.

Found out was the issue was. I was never getting the pop up with the image size to select (S,M,L, Actual) to send and never noticed the Images text on the right side of the cc: line to select the image size. Mine was set to low, explaining the fuzzy resolution. Setting to Actual size the image came out fine.

  • No longer able to capture screenshots on iPad Air? (iOS 8.2)

I've tried several hard resets (by holding down Sleep + Home buttons to turn iPad on & off), and I've also tried resetting all device settings - but I'm still unable to capture a screenshot on my iPad Air. The camera doesn't even click/flash or acknowledge the screenshot attempt when I hold down Home + Power as normal, and it doesn't show up in my photos. Also doesn't work when I select the "screenshot" command using AssistiveTouch. (And I've closed all running apps and cleared my history & website data in Safari).
Anyone have any possible solutions - that don't require iTunes? (Laptop is broken so I don't have a way to restore the device via iTunes). iPad has plenty of available data, and I used to be able to take screenshots with no problem. Assuming it's not an iOS/8.2 issue bc it stopped working before I downloaded the update. Help?

Try sliding the words up/down to select the various modes.

  • How to get full resolution screenshots from iPad with Retina display?

A coworker in another state has an iPad 3 with Retina display. I need him to email me some screenshots from his iPad. The native resolution is 2048x1536 yet every screenshot he sends me is only 1280x960 when opened in Photoshop. We've tried copying and pasting an individual photo in the mail message, as well as going to the camera roll, selecting 1 or multiple images and then sharing to a mail message, but all I ever get is 1280x960. This happens regardless of what the screenshot is of (either a specific app or just the iPad home screen).
Why aren't I getting full 2048x1536 screenshots? What do we need to do to get them? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Mirroring won't fill the TV screen. The iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the iPhone 4S or prior an aspect ratio of 3:2, neither of these will fit exactly into a TV screen which as an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Apple TV will not zoom the mirrored image, because it may well cut off information which is situated at the top or bottom of the screen.
You may wish to try each of the settings in settings > AirPlay > Adjust for Overscan for the best setting that suits you.

  • Higher resolution iPad screenshots?

I am working on a book about iPads and need to have screenshots of the iPad screen (apps etc) which are 300 DPI for printed book... is there anyway to do this?
I am SO hopeful someone has a solution for me! I am stuck with deadlines passing...
    Thanks in advance.

The resolution will be whatever the iPad is creating, so a Retina iPad will have 4 times the number of pixels as a non-retina iPad.
You can probably find the correct spec for each model on Apple.com, a quick search found this…
    http://www.theipadguide.com/faq/what-resolution-ipad-retina-display
It suggests a Retina iPad is 264 pixels per inch, at 2048 x 1536, or 3.1 megapixels.
A non-retina iPad is 1024 x 768, I think the iPad Mini is another set of resolutions too.
Take your screenshots with a Retina iPad & it should be fine, upscale the images if you really want 300dpi. You will probably need to convert to CMYK if this is a print book so add both tasks as an action in Photoshop or whatever image editor you are using. Then you should be able to apply that as a batch to take out the mind numbing process of manually doing each one.
Automator may also do a 'batch upscale', but tools like Photoshop support extra plugins that can provide better upscaling like…
    http://www.ononesoftware.com/products/resize8/
If you use Perfect Resize 8 it may be OK to upscale even non-retina screenshots.
Jay-Ray, screenshots via Reflector on a Mac look worse than ones taken on the device, are you sure about the quality that Airplay streams? Perhaps it is my non-retina LCD causing it.

  • PDF option doesn't show up on iBooks on my iPAD

I upgraded to the latest version of iBooks once again and although it shows screenshots of an ipad with Ibooks and PDFs in iBooks, it doesn't every show up on my ipad.
Is something wrong with my iPad/software/etc? Or am I missing something here?

Give it a pdf and those options should appear. Just drop one into the itunes library and then sync the ipad.

Can I use my iPhone 5c charger for my iPad mini

iPhone, iPad, iPod: Using iPad Power Adapters
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4327
You can use the iPad mini charger to charge the iPhone 5C, but not recommended the other way around.
The article below explains that the iPhone charger is meant to charge only iPhones and 1st generation iPad mini.
    iPad: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060
To charge your iPad battery, try one of these:
Connect iPad to a power outlet using the included cable and USB power adapter (use the table below to determine which adapter is intended for your iPad.)
Connect to a high-power USB 2.0 port using the included cable.
Note: Some USB 2.0 ports and accessories do not provide enough power to charge iPad. When this occurs the message "Not Charging" appears in the status bar next to the battery icon.
I hope this information helps ....
    Happy Holidays!

  • What are the allowable dimensions of screenshots for ibooks?

What are the allowable dimensions of screenshots for ibookes?  I know the requirement is very specific.
And what is the best tool to do so?  I tried to use the native screenshot tool but it is hard to make the size precise.

Minimum size is 600 pixels in the shorter dimension. Maximum size is 2048 pixels in the longer dimension. That's what you get when you take a screenshot on a new iPad. (There is no point in having something larger than this.) Screenshots taken with an older iPad are 1024x768.
For my book, I just took screenshots on an iPad 2 (1024x768) and used those. They were accepted without complaint.

  • Cannot import from iPad (in any application)

We can no longer import photos from my wife's iPad from iPhoto, Aperture or Image Capture. I've tried on two different computers, one running the most recent version of Mountain Lion, the other Mavericks with the most recent updates to Aperture and iPhoto. She usually uses iPhoto (pre-Mavericks release) on a iMac running Mountain Lion, but the issue is exactly the same on either computer, across all 3 applications so we have narrowed the issue down to the iPad, not Mac preferences or application issues.
    Status:
iTunes - There are 468 photos as indicated in iTunes; all other SW udpates and syncing seems to work.
iPhoto - Permanently stuck on "loading", same issue on both computers, both versions of iPhoto. See screenshot.
Aperture - iPad shows ups, photos never load, never able to import. See screenshot
Image Capture - Same as above. See screenshot.
Steps taken on 1 or both machines
Updating iPad from iOS 7 to 7.0.3, no change (we think issue began before iOS 7 but cannot verify).
Updated Mountain Lion to most recent version on iMac, no change.
Created new libraries on both computers, no change.
Too many restarts of iPad and computers to count.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are heading on vacation in the morning and my wife was hoping to use the iPad to store photos from her camera.
    Thanks,
    - cluv

I use a Canon LiDE 110 scanner with the same problem.
After scanning, the PDF file appears on the desktop, but when I open it with Preview, the document is blank.
However, I can open it with Adobe Reader just fine.

  • IBooks Screenshots

iTunes Producer has a section where you can insert up to 5 screenshots of your book. I searched the iBook Store and I haven't seen one single book that has screenshots on the book page. Why is that?
Secondly when creating a eBook for iPhone and iPad (not using iBooks Author), should the screenshots be taken on a iPhone or iPad?
