Screenshots does not work, Grab captures nothing but white.

Recently replaced hard drive with a new SSD. Everything is fine but screen captures currently do not work. I can hear the click, see the target when doing command + shift + 4 but no file is created. Also grab runs but only captures blank white area. Thoughts?

Yes its known issue to apple and they are working on it. Same issue with my apple store.

You don't input the information in manually for iCloud mail. It is automatically set up for you when you sign into iCloud via System Preferences and choose the Mail checkbox. Sign out of iCloud or deselect Mail in iCloud preferences. Open Mail's preferences and choose accounts tab. If iCloud account still exists in the list, delete it. Sign back into iCloud or check the box for mail. The account will be auto created for you.

I want to clarify the issue.
The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.

Touch pad scroll does not work in firefox minefeild but works in firefox 3.7

Love Minefeild, but have notice that my touchpad scroll up and down does not work. This function works fine in Firefox 3.7 and other software. I am using the lastest nightly builds. Is there a solution?

Sounds like your scroll pad drivers need to be updated, but considering that Firefox 4 is months away from being released the new drivers might not be available yet. Check with your manufacturers website in the software / drivers downloads section for newer drivers.

MB Air two finger scroll does not work for a user but does for another

MB Air. 10.9.3.
Defective Trackpad was just replaced. Two finger scroll does not work for the main user. I made a test log in and two finger scroll works. I booted off an external drive and two finger scroll works.
I pulled all of the user preferences out, logged out and in and still does not work. Zapped PRAM. Checked all trackpad settings. No luck.
Tried this in Terminal:
defaults write -g com.apple.trackpad.scrollBehavior 2
Any ideas?

This sounds strange but check the settings in Settings>Accessability for the track pad. I belive your problem lies there not in Track Pad set up in Settings.

Alum BT keyboard does not work after wake up - but BT trackpad does!

Here is my set up:
MBAir 2011 model (13", i7 4GB, Lion.. all up to date)
Desktop set up (same at work and home)
- Thunderbolt display
- Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard
- Aluminum Bluetooth Trackpad
What I do:
- Plug in the sleeping mbair into my display via thunderbolt and power cable
- Wake up using external bluetooth trackpad
- computer wakes up and external trackpad is functional (it always works)
- 7/10 times the external keyboard will not connect to enter password to get into system
     - I have tried power button banging on it for a long time and does not work
     - open mbair and type password in and remove keyboard and repair and after several tried it will work
     - then I can close mbair and use external keyboard
     - painful to do this most days at home and work
What have I tried
- PRAM, SMC reset
- remove all BT entries - trash blutooth properties files and freshly add them back
- I have tried waking using keyboard as well and it does not work
Only think I have wanted to try and have not found out is, if keyboard can reset to factory.
Yes I also have the occasionaly wifi not connecting from sleep issue

Have you noticed this problem on factory settings or only on your Windows 7 installation? Maybe its just a driver or software issue
Make also sure that latest BIOS version is installed. Look on the Toshiba website for an update:

Before you start the update, make sure that all programs are closed and you are logged in as Administrator.

Printing does not work in OSX applications, but did work in OS 9

As the name of this thread implies, I cannot print from any OSX applications, but printing does work in OS 9 applications. I recently upgraded to Adobe Creative suite 3 (I know, i know, I am behind) and have had nothing but problems printing (even with native apps like preview). Before I upgraded I didn't have as many issues printing. Since the upgrage, When I attempt to print from Adobe Illustrator I get the error message "cant print the illustration". When I attempt to print from native MacOS Apps (like Preview) I get the error message " Error while Printing". Additionally, every time I attempt to use my scanner I get the error message "Scanner not found". Can anyone help me out there?

It would have been helpful if you had included the manufacturer and model of your printer and scanner along with details on how they are connected to your Mac. Without that information there's little else for anyone else to work with along the lines of assisting you.
How does your printer and scanner connect to your Mac - serial port or USB? If they use a serial port you're kind of out of luck as Mac OS X does not natively support serial ports. There may be some third-party software drivers available that could "turn on" serial ports within Mac OS X however.
If your devices connect via USB, have you installed the Mac OS X version of their drivers? Older USB-equipped printers and scanners may not be supported by their manufacturers for use with Mac OS X. Again, if one looks hard enough, there may be some other third-party or open source drivers available that may let older USB equipment work with Mac OS X.

Flash Player does not work with Standard User, but will work when browser is "Run as Administrator"

I don't understand why this is happening, but Flash Player will not work when a Standard User is using the browser. It will only work when the browser is run as an administrator. Any way to fix this? I've tried to uninstall, and reinstall the player, and it still wouldn't work.
The user is on Windows 7, 64-bit. Using IE 10.

Any update to provide at all here guys? Again, in my situation, it's very much rights-related as a standard user doesn't even report that the flash player exists when testing it on the Adobe Flash Version Detection website (despite it showing up in Control Panel and under Add/Remove Programs). I've already tried giving the C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and files/subfolders appropriate permissions for the standard user and still nothing. If I either give the user in question full local admin rights or logon as the domain admin, then the Adobe Flash Version Detection website says Flash is installed and Flash works fine.
Thoughts???

Batch process does not work in one service, but worked in another.

We have here a batch process with a code encrypted, that runs daily in a production environment.
Tonight this batch process did not work.
It is expected that this process runs in about 20 seconds, but tonight this process used about 3 hours and did not finished.
We checked if it was concurrency, killed some sessions and tried again, and nothing has changed.
And then someone changed the service that this process uses, it was 'bat' and changed to 'dba'. And it worked succesfully in 11 seconds.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

COMMAND plus T does not work on the keyboard but does from the menu...

Is there a way that that shortcut could have gotten shut off from the keyboard? When I click on file or edit and then go to something like "make new tab (command t)" works fine but from the keyboard it does nothing.

Flash 13.0.0.214 does NOT work on some sites, but works fine on all others

I watch several wildlife nest-cams every day running Windows 8 using Firefox 29.0.1, but yesterday morning, (after I'd already watched the 6 cams I view every day), I started getting a solid, black screen with, "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found", on TWO of these sites.
My attempts to resolve the problem were:
1. Checked all the other web-cam sites I view daily, and there's only a problem on 2 of them.
2. Went to You Tube, Facebook & other similar sites and I can view streaming media.
3. Refreshed pages-when that didn't help, I closed & reopened Firefox & still 2 sites with "plugin loading error"
4. Completely shut-down my laptop & rebooted.
5. Did "System Restore" to earlier in the day when ALL web-cam sites were working.
6. Went to Adobe Flash site & verified that I had the most current version...I do, & I saw the animations on Flash site.
7. Verified my Flash Plugins in Firefox...AGAIN...they're all activated & up-to-date
8. Checked & re-checked ALL the web-cam sites I view every day, (for, at least the 10th time), and the
     same 2 sites are still showing the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" on a black screen. Even
     though the video isn't seen the "chat" area is functioning, (I don't know if that's important, but I
     thought I should mention it).
9. I posted the issue on Firefox's Forum but no one has an answer since Flash works everywhere except
     for 2 sites.
I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot this, but as you can see, I've had no success in solving this "mystery".
As for the 2 sites I can't view, they are:

I hope you have a solution for me, as I'm desperate! I'm WAY behind in my documentation for these 2 sites, so hopefully you'll have an easy answer. If it's a technical thing, please use LOTS of details, as I'm not very technically inclined.

Trying to reproduce; the first of your links works fine on Firefox, PaleMoon, and Internet Explorer.
The second link only shows a blue screen after the ad (on the same three browsers)

BT Infinity Does Not Work in Power Cut (but ADSL u...

I upgraded to BT Infinity last month. Last week the area suffered a power cut so my emergency generator cut in automatically (I am disabled) which used to mean that I continued to have internet access -when it was ADSL - but this time there was no internet access even though the blue bar remained lit on the Hub5. I read elsewhere that the street cabinets are actually powered by the local mains. Is this correct? If so is there a work-around for those of us with disabilities who rely on the internet more than most and have backup power to the home installation? Thankyou.

Thanks. So does that mean that after several hours the cabinet battery runs flat and so the internet connection fails? This latest power cut began at 11:00pm so the battery might have been flat by the following morning (this power cut lasted for 36 hours in total). However what is curious is that the cabinet is situated right outside the exchange which has its own battery backup and generator. I guess what I am trying to establish is whether it is in the nature of Infinity that it inevitably stops working (albeit after several hours) during a power cut. Previously ADSL continued to work throughout multiple-day power outages. All advice is appreciated. Thankyou.
