Script Alert: ...problem with Internet connection
Since upgrading to 1.0.3, I get this alert every time I launch Bridge. There is a problem with your Internt connection. Please check that you are connected to the Internet and please try again."
I am definitely connected to the Internet and there's nothing wrong with the connection when this happens.
Any way to get it to stop?
WinXP Illy CS2 installed, none of the other suite.

That is Adobe StockPhoto attempting to go out and touch it's server on startup.
The only fix I know of is to rename the ols.jsx file to something like old.jsxNoLoad or move it to another folder.
That script list located in the startup scripts folder:
PC - c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\StartupScripts
Mac - /Library/Application Support/Adobe/StartupScripts
I am not certain of what effect this has on StockPhoto. (I don't work on StockPhoto, I am only relaying information to you from the Bridge forums). If it breaks StockPhoto and you need it, you can rename the file back to ols.jsx when you need to use it and are connected to the internet.

Problem with Internet connection sharing between eMac and Powerbook G3
Hi,
I seem to be having a slight problem with internet connection sharing.
My eMac is the main machine with the internet connection, and its running 10.4.6, the Powerbook G3 is running 10.2.8.
I can connect them all up and get online with both, but I the problem I am having is when I turn the Firewall on on the eMac, the powerbook can't connect.
Is there anyway I can keep the Firewall enabled and still use internet connection sharing?How do I know which ports the Powerbook is using?
Also I had web sharing enabled on the eMac and it made no difference at all.
Plus I don't know if this means anything to you, trying to decipher it myself, all I can make out myself on there is port 80.

Problem with internet connect?
Hi,
I have installed a Netgear wireless router, which is connected to my eMac by an ethernet cable. I can access the internet through Firefox without a problem, but when I try to check software update or get to the itunes store it says it cannot connect to the internet. I think that this must be something to do with internet connect, as when I log in a error message comes up on the screen and also the only options for connection when internet connect is opened is BT Voyager 105 (the previous ADSL Modem) and Internal Modem.
If anyone can offer any advice I would be very grateful!

I opened up Safari, went to preferences, and then clicked the advanced tab. There should be a button saying 'Proxies: change settings', I clicked on this and it opened up the network settings (through system preferences),and found that it was trying to connect through an old proxy set up whilst it was on a university network. I simply highlighted the proxy (xxxx.ac.uk), pressed the delete key, and then clicked on the apply now button. All seemed to work then! I suspect I was just lucky that this was the only cause of the problem, as it seems that some people have not been able to resolve their problem this way.

I have install the new update firmware for my ipad 2 (5.0.1) and immediatly after not internet connection possible. My setting have been erase (same with my ipod itouch update). I try to connect at my routeur with right password but doesnt working .... I have already install update last time and never have this problem.
Have you an idea why it's not working ?

Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Problem with Internet Connection Mode
I followed the manual instruction, but nothing shows under my PC's list of available wifi connections.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 running Windows Vista.
HTC Sync is latest version (3.0.5517) and shows connection to phone.
Phone shows Internet Connection Mode as selected.
Data connection is on (Mobile network is checked)

Just to clarify, the cost for the mobile hotspot/ mobile broadband connect has not been determined after 6/15. You will receive a message on the device asking if you would like to continue the service at a cost.
As stated by a previous member, there is an app on the device that needs to be setup to use the mobile hotspot feature. It does require some setup, like a security password, but it really easy to complete. I would verify that the router name (SSID) is filled out & that the security is set to WPA2 (AES). Also, I would recommend changing the default password for added security.

HT1349 problems with internet connections
ISSUE : I am having trouble loading common internet sites like youtube, ebay, google, etc. This issue doesn't occur everytime but often enought for me to seek help. This is my first Macbook and I dont know if it is the computer or if it is a issue with my internet provider. Also, strange enough my girl friend's Acer computer (Window 7) has no issue with failed connections. We can be sitting side by side and my computer not load a site while hers loads the site without issue. I would appreciate any help on the issue.
Have you checked to see if a firmware update is available for your router?
And what specifically are the symptoms? Do you get a connection, but no apps work? Is it able to find the network at all? -
Problem with Internet connection via Wireless

I have a strange problem, we have network consist of 7 AP (1 WDS and other are WDS clients)
When we connection for example 8 devices to the wifi, 5 of them can connect to the internet, 3 of them can ping ip address of website but cant enter to the website, nothing happens, it can be in different proportions, 3 device can access 5 not, DHCP with all configs is on WDS access point, all of them connected to unmanaged HP switch which connected to the router
Please help to understand this

Go to Solution.I can let you know this is not a known issue with the Windows ecosystem as the Lumia range of devices, the hardware itself maybe different specification but the ecosystem is the same. Also I myself have 710 and have never had this issue and am based in the UK so the statement from your network provider is false. Who is your network provider?
What I recommend you do is take your device to your nearest Nokia care point to have the device inspected. You can look at the link below for the nearest one:

Also did you ask your network provider for a new sim? Was the phone purchased off line or part of a contract?
Finally are you 100% sure your data plan is active? Also go into settings and mobile network and make sure data connection is on and highest speed is set to 3G

Problems with internert connect and OS X 10.4.11
Ever since I installed Tiger and then updated to 10.4.11, I have been having a frustrating problem on both of my computers.
On my IMac, when I click on connect (Internet connect), it tells me that authorization has failed. I open system preferences Network and click on assist me, then open diagnostics. As it goes through the diagnostic routine, the internet connection opens, and the network diagnostics says that the internet connection appears to be operating normally. When I close the connection and then try to open it with internet connect, same thing. Check diagnostics, same thing.
On my eMac, I cannot connect at all. The diagnostics says that the ethernet is not plugged in...it is not recognizing the connection. I unplugged the ethernet cable and plugged it into my laptop. Same cable, same setting, same everything. It works fine. So, I'm guessing it is something in the software. I have repaired the permissions and the system. Verification says No problems.
Any suggestions? Please!

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these files to the Desktop, then trash the originals since move only copies them...

Having trouble with internet connections using my Apple G5 OSX 10.4.11. Attempts to upgrade FireFox or Safari results in being incompatible with with this system. Tried to locate earlier versions to replace upgraded incompatible software only to find that problems have worsened with crashing results. What should I do short of trashing this wonderful G5 and purchasing a new iMac which I really can't afford?

RegardsI, too had problems connecting my iTouch with my home computer. I did everything suggested and then called Apple. They worked very hard for me to find the problem ... even the engineers got involved. They found that the Symantec firewall downloaded from my ISP, Comcast, interfered with the iTouch communicating with the computer. As soon as I disabled the Symantec wall (not the internal mac firewall) my iTouch was back communicating with my computer. Apple deserves a lot of credit for isolating the problem. So, for those of you with this problem, check out your third party security software and remove what you must. Kudos to Apple customer service on this one.

Problem with wifi connectivity
I am facing problem with wifi connectivity of iPhone, on status bar it displays full signal however it does not opens even a single window whenever I try to surf internet on it.
I have internet connection which is having speed of 2mbps, its really irritating when iPhone keeps on processing while same thing opens on PC within fraction of seconds. Any idea about this, how to solve this issue?Tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Then relog into Wi-Fi.

At the very least, I recommend you restart your router, (your internet box).
More detail on your problem is needed - are you in a submarine? On the moon? On a tropical island?
You can help yourself by providing as much info as you can about your present situation - what kind of router do you have? Have you moved it? DId you update it? Did you do anything to change your setup, and if you did, what? -

Q since upgrade to iOS6 l have been having problem with wifi connection and getting into App Store and itunes
Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
