Script Error Loading Sony Media Software

Hello! I have installed in my computer 2 plug-ins for my Sony Media Software (SoundForge & Vegas), I need to register them for use and everytime I try to register it, it opens me a Window telling about a Script Error:
An Error has occurred in this script in this page:
Line: 5 / 13-14 / 18
Char: 1
Error: Object Expected
Code: 0
URL: VARIOUS FILES (line number changes according to the file respectively)
C:\Documents and Settings\Vera\Local Settings\Temp\udat\
upsell.htm / bottom_buy-close.htm / content.htm
And thats all, I dont know what's happening but I REALLY NEED TO FIX THIS! So i can use this plug in... any solutions????
Btw, the Internet Options Script thing... doesn't work.
I'll appreciate very much your help, thank you.

That's a JavaScript problem, not Java. They are entirely unrelated technologies (other than the name similarity.) You probably want to find a JS forum.

  • Error loading Blackberry Desktop Software

I have XP Home Edition Version 2002 SP3. I tried installing the newest version of BDM ver. 6.2 which I downloaded from RIM. The received the error while loading: "Balckberry Desktop Software has encountered an error and must close..."
I uninstalled and removed all registry entries and RIM folders and and also used a system cleaner (CCleaner). I reinstalled again and the error still occurs. RIM.destophelper.exe does load to system tray. There are no error codes of any kind associated with this failure to load.
Any help trouble shooting this would be appreciated.

Thanks again for the quick reply.
Is the BlackBerry connected the whole time when you're trying to open BlackBerry Desktop Software?
And just to clarify you did perform all these steps when you uninstalled the previous software: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02206
Because that error will appear if some old DTM files are still present on the computer.

  • I cant load the Media Sync software for Ituens

I run windows XP.   Bberry Desktop software 4.7 downloaded and installed.   When I go to Media Sync for Itunes it tells me the software is not loaded and then starts to download it.
I then get a mesage simply that "windows has encountered and error and install will be stoped".  no other messge or error info.
I tried downloading the Media Sync software separatly from the web site and installing it but it will not install either.   When i try to install the media sync this way i get message that "windows needs to reboot before continuing with the install".  I reboot but still cannot load the sync.  I have even tried to remove all "non-essential" software from loading automjatically at start up after reboot but still no luck.
all other BBerry desktop software seems to be working fine.
    Please help.  Thanks.

I have the same result when trying to load the Media Sync for iTunes.  Looking forward to getting an answer soon.

  • "Error loading media. File Could not be played"  when trying to view streaming media on only some sites.  How to fix?

    Hi!
I've been having a problem trying to view streaming media, but it only happens on some sites.  It's similar to a problem I have on my Windows PC, that's related to Adobe Flash, but since I'm very new to using my iPad Mini, I don't even know if Apple devices have Flash...do they?
Anyway, when I go to a site that's plagued by this issue, I tap the 'Play' arrow on my screen & the circle spins like it's gonna play, but then the screen turns black & this error message appears:
"Error loading media. File Could not be played"  followed by a triangle with an exclamation point !
I read several articles online & the solutions ran from updating firmware in their router, (mine is brand new...installed last Thursday), to disabling ad-block programs in their browsers...(I don't have any enabled), and the last one was making changes to the DNS...(I know it means 'domain name server', but I don't have the foggiest idea how to make changes to it!
Anyway, that's my problem.  I hope that someone out there knows what I can do to fix it!
Thanks in advance for your help.

I would assume an issue with the HTML5 media player.
If those aren't working on Windows then it is possible that the proper codecs aren't installed.
You can try to disable the HTML5 media player and make Firefox use the Flash plugin.
You can do this by setting these two prefs to false on the <b>about:config</b> page:
    *media.windows-media-foundation.enabled
    *media.directshow.enabled

When trying to load a webcam, picture loads but will not stream.
The following error message appears "error loading media-file could not be played"
Everything functions when using Google Chrome.
Any help would be much appreciated. The operating system is Vista.

Thank you for you reply - much appreciated.
I am a bit confused - if I do not have a player installed, how come that everything is OK when I use Google Chrome as a browser?

  • 16.0.2 not loading properly due to AVG script error

I updated to 16.0.2 about half an hour ago (had no internet access for 3 weeks hence late updating of Firefox) and found I keep getting a script error: "a script error on this page is busy.. Chrome://avg/content/js:532"). I assume this refers to the AVG SafeSearch taskbar and search facility. The only way I can use Firefox is with default settings, which disables the AVG SafeSearch. Can I get the AVG taskbar and 16.0.2 to function together? Any help, much appreciated.
I took the troubleshooting info below just now with Firefox in default setting as the tab wouldn't load with the taskbar enabled.

    You're welcome!

  • Firefox freezes/script errors with every page load

Have had this issue for about a week now where every single page I load freezes for 20-30 seconds and comes back with a script error of some kind asking me to either stop it or continue on. Appears to be Java related but have tried everything to clear the errors (cleared Java cache, Reset Firefox, ran TFC) and they are still coming up.
Both Chrome and IE work fine loading the same pages.
Troubleshooting info from FF below if it helps

    Hi,
I am sorry to hear about Firefox not responding on many websites. Please try to change the max time a script can load with these noted config preferences: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/warning-unresponsive-script] The default preference may be hitting the limit?
If it is java related, have you reinstalled Java or checked if it was up to date? [https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/]

  • Script Error report when trying to "Find Album Info" for music in Windows Media Player

When I click on "Find Album Info" in Windows Media Player, it finds the correct media info. But when I click "Finish" after verifying everything is correct, it says "An error has occurred on this script page" and asks if I want to continue. I click
yes, it goes back to the last page of finding album info, I again click "Finish" to find the same "Script error" page?

Sir, that means the Windows Firewall Blocked the Script So try these steps hope it works for you :
1.) - Open the "Start Menu".
2.) - Go to the "Control Panel".
3.) - Double click "Security Center".
4.) - Click "Windows Firewall" in the top left.
    5.) - Click "Change settings".
    6.) - Click "Continue".
7.) - Click the "Exceptions" tab.
8.) - Scroll down and check all of the "Windows Media Player" options.

  • Jb script error downloading software update

on the nokia website, i try to download the software update site, but at the end a qwarning comes up saying vb script error, followed by the message that it was inturrupted so wont download.
i am using a vista pc.
    any help appreciated.

I had the same problems downloading the update for my n95 whilst running Vista. My positive result to solve this problem was to:
    Windows Vista
    On the Start menu,
    Click All Programs.
    Click Accessories.
Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator from the shortcut menu.
When the User Account Control dialog appears, click Continue.
At the command prompt type the following:
    regsvr32 vbscript.dll
    Press Enter on your keyboard.
    A message should appear stating
    "DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded."
Click OK and try re installing
Like I say this worked for me, but cannott say if it will work on your systems or not.
    Good luck

  • ITS iView not loading ; script Error

    Hi All,
We have an ITS iView which when executed opens in a new Window.
Everything has been working fine till last week . Now we have a problem after upgrade to ECC 6.0 wherein the iView doesn't load in the new Window and throws a Script Error:<b> Object required</b>. . But at  the same time, if we press "ENTER"  key in the Address bar of the newly opened Internet Explorer Window, it loads fine. This does sound strange, though
    Warm Regards,
    Roopesh

    Hello Roopesh,
that sounds more of an issue in EP than of the ITS. Can you determine the root of that issue? Mostly a missing or outdated script can cause such an error message.
    Regards,
      TJ

  • Cannot play JWPlayer mp4 videos - "error loading media, file could not be played" in MS Windows 7 Firefox. Works on Firefox for mac.

We use mp4 / mv4 type videos. These videos are viewed through a JWPlayer playlist. They work fine using Firefox browser on a MAC, however on MS Windows 7, I get "Error loading media, file could not be played". They also work fine from MS Windows 7 using IE and CHROME browsers. Any idea what might be causing the problem when trying to play them from the Firefox browser on a Windows platform?
I have already tried uninstalling Firefox, deleting my profile and re-installing the latest version.
I logged a support problem with JWPlayer and they indicated that it ma be a browser specific related issue with html5?
    Thanks for you help!

  • Home Media Server - Error Loading Supported Device...

I have recently installed the Home Media Server application that came on the DVD with my N82, onto my PC.
However, I am unable to 'see' my N82 as a device.  When I select, Add new Devices I get an error message stating 'Error loading Supported Devices - please check your internet connection.
I thought that this may be a Firewall issue but Home Media Server is listed in my Firewall as accepted.

    History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

Have you tried searching the forum? I remember quite a few people had this problem a few years ago.
Make sure you search the entire forum, not just the N series board as I think the answer is in one of the other more appropriate boards.
Use the keywords "home media server". Answers that apply to other models like the N95 should also apply to the N82.
