Script error when starting CR XI
Post Author: Søren Horney
CA Forum: General
When starting I (and the rest of my organisation) get a script refering to:
Line: 51
Char: 2
In the script:
http://www.businessobjects.com/products/reporting/crystalreports/start/developer/default.asp
This error is new (was not there yesterday). Any ideas ?
Best regards

Anybody seen this? Just started when opening any report, been working fine for over a week and now this error. Does not seem to harm anything, the reports still regenerate just fine. Only happens when starting the CR application. CR Developer 11.0.0.1282
Pop-up is as follows
Script ErrorLine 481Position 41 if g3() = True then main = True : Exit Fun

3 or more folks here have had the same issue.....more than once. We got the original script error, it quit in the afternoon, and now has reappeared. (fails at a different line in the script though)
Someone posted a fix, though. Just uncheck 'Help', 'Check for updates on startup' Worked for us. Good catch...whoever that was! -
Error when starting Mercury Quicke Test Professional
Hello,
I am executing the QTP scripts through eCATT. During execution I got an error ' Error when starting Mercury Quick Test Professional'.
Does anybody knows how to resove this?
Thanks,
MahanteshHi,
This is a common problem if scripting is disabled either on server or on ur sapgui client.
for enabling at server got rz11 tcode and enter sapgui/user_scripting profile and enable scripting there.
Refer my sdn weblogs which shows minimum config for QTP and ECATT and also how to create and run the scripts.

As stated previously...I have removed and re-installed Firefox, but am still getting "script error" when shutting it down and going to "restore session" when opening. Please advise what to do about this problem. Thank you.
Firefox 21 and Firefox 22 running on Windows 7 have been reported to take a long time to "wake up" from sleep. I realize hibernation is different than sleep, but... this is the closest match for your description.
Some users have reported that this problem is resolved in Firefox 23 (currently in beta). Others have had inconsistent luck with minimizing Firefox before letting Windows sleep and other measures.
Please check out this (very long) thread for more information: [https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898 browser freezes after resuming from sleep]
Or jump to the part about Firefox 23: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/961898?page=3#answer-457321
The fact that this just started recently suggests perhaps it is related to another program or update, but I don't think anyone has confirmed the exact interaction that causes the problem. -
Unresponsive Script Error when Saving Changed Set in Flickr Organizer
I'm getting an unresponsive script error when saving a changed set in the Flickr organizer.
The problem started when using Firefox 3.6.8 or maybe an earlier version. It persists in Firefox 3.6.12
I've noticed the error only appears in the Organizer and only when saving a changed set or saving after deleting a set.
It does indeed save the changed set correctly before crashing.
It is not intermittent and happens every time I perform this save.
The error does not occur in Chrome or Safari.
Examples of the error messages can be found at

Hi
We are having SRM5.0.
Trying to create Contract. Workflow Without approval of contract(WS1400086)is activated and start conditions also no workflow activated.
Contract is created and getting message Contract created.
But when tried to release the contract it shows "Awaiting approval".
In Workflow log (SWI1)it shows error."Error when starting work item xxxx".
What could be the reason. Please let me know the solution if anyone of you come across such error.
Thanks in advance
JagadishMasa
It is maintained as General task already.
It seems the workflow task WS14000085 does not have definition.
When checked in SWDD for the above teask there are no steps defined for that workflow.
SAP says that we need to define and action for workflow WS14000085.
But what is the procedure to define the workflow.
I presume this is the standard workflow and it should be defined by default when it comes along with the SRM package.
Anyone of you know how to define the workflow and activate the same?

Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:'TfSAPCMRC'
Hello experts.
When I try to preview or refresh a Crystal Report document built on a BEx query I get the following error msg:
Database connector error: BAPI Error #0. Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'TfSAPCMRCV'.
We have done as suggested in "SAP Note 1032461 - MDX parser does not start", but without success.
This is what we've tried so far:
replaced the file "librfc32.dll" (in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64) with the new version mentioned in Note 413708.
tested the connection in SM59 - non successful
tested the report query with transaction MDXTEST - non successful
tried to start the mdxparser manually on server - non succesful, error msg: "The application failed to initialise.."
We have the following config:
MS server 2003 SP2 x64 ed.
SAP logon 7.20
MS SQL server 2005
CR 2008
new librfc32.dll version 7200.1.39.6461
Any ideas on what to try next would be highly appreciated!
Cheers, IngAHi Ingo.
We have only one application server.
I registered the new version of the file C:\windows\SysWOW64\librfc32.dll with regsvr32.exe successfully. I've also tried to copy the new file to the same directory as the mdxsvr.exe-file is located, but it made no difference.
Should I remove all other copies of librfc32.dll and only keep the one in folder C:\Windows\SysWOW64, or maybe register them all with regsvr32.exe?

Error when starting configtool.
The installation is successful. But I am getting the following error when starting configtool:
PerfTimes : loadNativeLayer: loading jperflib failed. no jperflib in java.library.path
com.sap.engine.frame.core.configuration.ConfigurationException: Error while conn
ecting to DB.
This is not during the installation as given in some of the other posts. The installation is successful and I am able to start and run the J2EE engine and the Portal. This error occurs when I try to start the config tool.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Hi Arul,
Have you checked the parameters that the configtool is using to connect? (don't use default settings)
What database is this on? In the case that it is oracle can you TNS ping the db? The listener is running?

You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.
A description of what you tried to do outside the listing would help too.

Error when starting submethod -
Dear Experts,
we are using standard work flow for Appropriation Request(AR) approving.
Approvers are geting mail to SAP inbox.
when double click on inbox->worlflow item for that particular AR, it goest AR display screen & when we click on balk(F3) goes to screen where we can click on "approve" , " Reject" buttons.
now issue is once double click on inbox item gives infor message saying "Error when starting submethod"(Message no. SWF_RUN637) & goes to approval screen directly.
Please help to correct this issue.
Thanks & kind Regards,
SLHi,
The issue might be with the secondary methods of the decision step. Check if any secondary methods are included in the decision step. and make sure when you are using the secondary methods you should ahve the instance of the business object.. in the workflow container so that the methods that you want to execute parallel while or before executing the workitem.
The secondary methods will be listed out under METHODS tab of decision step

Windows error when starting iTunes 5.
Hey.
My iTunes suddenly started giving me a Windows error when starting it. I installed iTunes 5 instead of iTunes 4 recently, and it has been running. But today when I wanted to transfer some more music to my iPod iTunes wouldn't start. I just get the Windows Error... thing. What can I do? I already tried to reinstall it, but as you know, it's god d*mn impossible to completely delete Apple software without a format.
I talked to a friend of mine who had experienced the same problem, but it was his firewall/antivirus (F-Secure) that was the problem, and I'm running PC-Cillin - which I tried to disable, but it didn't help.
Help, thank you.Deffo a missing quicktime issue. See my post Chris Rocco, "itunes launching problem.", 07:20am Oct 2, 2005 CDT
Itunes relies for some unknown reason on compression technologies in quicktime libraries. Crazy! No more quicktime alternative! -

How can I correct this error?I successfully installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version on Vista home edition. I was able to start the application server by following the steps outlined by Marcelo Ramos at the following link:

I hope this helps someone else as well.
