I remember that the AIF used 100 MB for /boot and 7.4 GB for "/". Close enough, right?
Users can also edit the script and make their own version. What do you think?

I don't know about you, but I very much dislike 7.81 GB, 1.95 GB, etc. If you're going to test it in VirtualBox, please create a virtual drive of at least 15.1 GB (100+8+2+5), or, you know, use smaller numbers. Also, using "Dynamic Size" only takes up about 60 MB or so of actual space, so you may as well create a 20 GB+ virtual drive.
I am doing the max calculation directly on my desktop computer and using 1000 is the only result that corresponds to the label on the disk, so to speak. I'm not sure though, have to look closer at this when I get the time.

Shuts down a currently running Oracle instance, optionally closing and dismounting a database.
Terms
Refer to the following list for a description of each term or clause:
ABORT
Proceeds with the fastest possible shutdown of the database without waiting for calls to complete or users to disconnect.
Uncommitted transactions are not rolled back. Client SQL statements currently being processed are terminated. All users currently connected to the database are implicitly disconnected and the next database startup will require instance recovery.
You must use this option if a background process terminates abnormally.
IMMEDIATE
Does not wait for current calls to complete or users to disconnect from the database.
Further connects are prohibited. The database is closed and dismounted. The instance is shutdown and no instance recovery is required on the next database startup.
NORMAL
NORMAL is the default option which waits for users to disconnect from the database.

TRANSACTIONAL [LOCAL]
Performs a planned shutdown of an instance while allowing active transactions to complete first. It prevents clients from losing work without requiring all users to log off.
No client can start a new transaction on this instance. Attempting to start a new transaction results in disconnection. After completion of all transactions, any client still connected to the instance is disconnected. Now the instance shuts down just as it would if a SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE statement was submitted. The next startup of the database will not require any instance recovery procedures.
The LOCAL mode specifies a transactional shutdown on the local instance only, so that it only waits on local transactions to complete, not all transactions. This is useful, for example, for scheduled outage maintenance.
Usage
SHUTDOWN with no arguments is equivalent to SHUTDOWN NORMAL.
You must be connected to a database as SYSOPER, or SYSDBA. You cannot connect via a multi-threaded server. For more information about connecting to a database, see the CONNECT command earlier in this chapter.

Hi, I got the problem with Firefox 27.0.1. I can not run Selenium on Firefox after login a website for automation testing. The browser is not responding. However when I close Nunit, the page is back to be normal. The title is returned to the name of website without "not responding". I sure this problem did not happen on Firefox version 26. I just got this problem when firefox upgrading automatically to version 27. Please help me fix this problem because it is very important for my work. I ran into the same issue. Make sure your apple device in disconnected from the computer. It interrupts the itunes download. Disconnect and make sure itunes is closed, then try installing again. Remember that even though you close of itunes, it is often still running in the background. To make sure it's closed, click and hold the mouse on the itunes icon and select quit from the drop down menu. Then try installing the updated itunes.

I had the same problem this weekend. The iphone 4s needed Itunes10.5 to sync to her Asus Windows 7 Laptop. When I tried to download from the Apple website I got the error that the windows installer was missings files or something like that. I uninstalled itunes and tried again but that didn't work. Then I redownloaded itunes 10.3 just to have a working version in case I gave up. Then I found site that suggested I update Windows by going through the start menu and while doing that I found an update Apple itunes file.
Goto Start and type Widows Update in the seach window. Click on check for updates (I already was current with all updates but I suggest you download the updates if there are some available.
Goto start and this time just type update in the search window. Look for the Apple itunes update link and click on it. It found there were updates for itunes 10.5, Quick time, Safari, and Icloud. I checked all the updates except for Safari, since we don't use it (yet).
The install started then seemed to stall at one spot for ~3min but then completed successfully. I open itunes and had her synced with Outlook Contact, Email, Calender, and Notes in 5 minutes. I did already configure Outlook by going to tools and Trust Center.
I hope this works. -
Just upgraded software. When system prompts to update itunes and in the middle of the system's attempt to complete the upgrade, the message, "The following install step failed: run preupgrade script for AppleMobileDeviceSupport. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance" appears.
I don't understand what "preupgrade" needs to be done.
Anyone else experience this?

Is their roadmap for the next major release of Netweaver stack?
In the ERP area, I found this link that mentions a roadmap for mySAP ERP2005 and beyond.
Is there a corresponding "beyond NW04s" roadmap? Or is the next major release of Netweaver targeted for 2010 as is the next major mySAP ERP release mentioned in the above mentioned roadmap?

First of all: Thank you, Apple, for Update 1.0.3! The most annoying bugs are fixed and the click wheel works better (but in my opinion the quick wheel of the iPod nano works still even better).
Please allow me to suggest a few "quick wins" you could easily (in my opinion) include in the next firmware release:
+ Please add an option to turn off that "screensaver" or to change the time until it turns on
The "screensaver" wouldn't be that bad when:
+ It would display "now playing" information in a large font (better readable than the normal "now playing" when the background light is off
+ The screensaver clock would display 24h format, when configured

Hello all, I hope you can help.
In Photoshop I have a problem to overcome and have delved into the world of scripting..
If there is a quick way to produce the following could someone help me with some pointers?
Here is my situation..
I need to produce a photograph proof card, these are for a double image option so cause me a headache compared to just creating an action..
This proof card really is just a set of two different photographs placed onto a background image.
I would produce two different images of the same person and name them exactly the same except they are suffixed with an A or B to keep them together, these would be in a folder with approx 500 other images for example (250 x two of each person)
My preference for the process would be done in the following sequence:
1/ Open the background file jpg (which is sized at 2400 x 1800 pixels @ 300dpi)
2/ Load the first image from the batch file and place this.
3/ Get the filename of the first image and create it as a text layer and write it below the image at 10 point text size.
4/ Create another copy of this layer and change the font to 3of9barcode font, however the font needs an asterisk before the text then again after it. e.g. *filenameA*
Only the first image has the need for a barcode as they are for the same person. This is at 18 point.
5/ Load the next sequential image from the batch file and place this.
6/ Get the filename for the second image and as Item 3/ create a text layer below at 10 point text size.
7/ Place a png overlay with my copyright information over the images (I need to do this twice, once for each image)
8/ Flatten the images and save the file in a new folder with the same filename as the first image.
I can do this in Lightroom with the exception of putting the barcoded text, and the filenaming, this is because the background image is used as the identity plate and the filename is not based on the data from either photograph..
Can anyone shed some light on where to go from here?

But I would recommend creating a template file (that already combines background image, png overlay and the Type Layers).
Maybe data driven graphics would also be an option …

Script for Automator to reorder text in file/folder name.
I have a folder full of pictures named by their first and last names. I need them to be renamed by listing them by last name first, first name last in order to get them alphabatized properly. Anybody out there have a nice Automator script for me to make this happen? I'm new.

Not a problem, Safe Mode will disable addons and hardware acceleration. If this continues and it is not an add on this will be the next step to try to disable acceleration:

Batch script for automating process
Hi all, not sure if this is the right area asking about batch scripts, but this has to do with the back-end system in Hyperion.
I was wondering if there is a way to run a batch script on the transaction log that will give a list of any new GL accounts that have been added in the prior month or within the last 30 days? Can it also show which users are added to the account?
The purpose of this is to automate the process periodically and eliminate the Outline Maintenance Log or import to the Outline Maintenance Log. It would be helpful for adding more new cost centers.
Lastly, can I also run a batch script to see how often our end-users are in Hyperion reports?

Correct me if i'm wrong:
You want to know new members added in the account dimension recently. Is that right?
If so, you could do a select command like that:
SELECT O.OBJECT_NAME -- Just the member name. For alias, you need another join
FROM HSP_ACCOUNT A -- For performance, i put the smallest table here
INNER JOIN HSP_OBJECT O ON A.ACCOUNT_ID = O.OBJECT_ID -- Join to get the member name
WHERE O.CREATED >= (SYSDATE-(30)) -- last 30 days
Note this specific select you can only get the account dimension. Entity has his own table too.
For custom dimention it gets a little more complicated. -
Router script for Automated router changes
I am new to the scripting world and do need assistance in developing a script that will assist me to perform the following tasks when executed
1] remove all existing tunnels
2] remove dialer/BVI interface
3] create new DMVPN tunnel
- tunnel x--- MPLS connection to data center
-tunnel y--- Guest traffic
4] Configure interface gi0/2 for broadband connection
- negotiate DHCP addresses
5] remove RIP routing
6] remove EIGRP routing
7] remove route-map pbr-dsl
8] remove route-map pbr-extsrv
9] create route-map for internet traffic over verizon ( pbr-verizon)
- set interface gi0/2
10] create route-map for internet traffic over mpls (pbr-mpls)
- set interface ser0/0
11] apply pbr-verizon to VLANS 10,20,30,40
12] modify NAT statement
13] create inbound and outbound ACL for Gi0/2 interface
- permit udp gre traffic from VIP
- permit tcp any any established
-permit tcp any any eq ftp-data
-permit udp any any eq domain
14] combine all other ACL to ensure no blocking will occur based on all internet traffic from verizon and not mplsJoseph,
My question is on syntax when using username and password. I'm stuck on a script that I found here on the support forums that is using the Expect command.
My goal is to run the script from a host monitoring server using a device list file to go out and telnet into each one of the routers to run a "Show Inventory" command.
All the routers are using local AAA with username and password to get to the Privledged Exec mode. Here's a copy of my script. I have bolded the parts that I'm curious if correct. If you could check over it and let me know where my mistakes (If any) are located, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Brandon
