Script for To and CC Email

I have a pdf form that has a number of fields in it that generates an email when the submit button is clicked. This is working fine and addresses the email generated correctly based on the following script..

cTo: getField("Executive_Director").value,
cCc: getField("Authorising_Manager").value + (";")+ getField("Current_Manager").value + (";")+ getField("Proposed_Manager").value +(";") + getField("Proposed_Executive_Manager").value,
cSubject: " Approval Required "
cMsg:" Blah blah
I would like to make one improvement to accommodate a scenario where the manager could be either one, two or all of the roles in the script above.
Based on the script above if the Current_Manager was Bob Smith, the Proposed_Manager was Bob Smith
the cc: would be Bob Smith,Bob Smith
it does make any sense to address the email with the same person more than once
I would like some script to identify if there are multiple values that are the same to only present that name once in either the To field or CC field in the email

Ive inserted the code as follows however when I click OK to close the java script editor it highlights the var ccAddresses = [];  and doesn't allow me to close
