Script to detach overlay assets needed

My turn to ask for a little help here.
I've got a bunch of files that were packaged by my client referring to external overlay assets (image sequences, web overlays). I need a script for CS6 that will find them and trash the link to the assets.
I don't mind paying for it. I'll cross post this to the scripting and DPS forums as well.

Was the wrong invoice posted from MM or FI? Why you do not reverse the posting in the original module (MM or FI) with the correspondent transaction.
Do you want to leave a erroneous open item duplicated in the vendor?
Yes, if you post a credit memo the APC account of the asset will be posted with
an opposite sign. However, if you do this with AA transaction ABSO the offsetting
account will be the one you insert manually in the transaction and not the vendor.
You can simulate the posting before actually save it to check the accounts used.

Indesign Script to import Library asset beneath all graphic frames

Hi all,
I wonder if anybody could help me with a problem? (I'm learning scripting but some things are still a bit tricky)
I have managed a script to place a Library Asset onto a page.
What I need however is a script to place multiple instances of this Library asset directly beneath every graphic frame that exists in my whole document. If it can be done, I preferably need the asset to snap to the bottom left of the frames, top of the asset touching the bottom of the graphic frame.
This is from Library 'Library' and the asset is 'Test'
Has anybody a script or something similar? Thank you.

AFAIK, you’re wasting your time. If you want those options you’ll need to use file>place. It is worth noting that many of those options are sticky so if you need the same option all the time just place one file and choose the appropriate options.

To be honest I have a shallow understanding of coding, thus I would like to ask, why not create a script on the android phone itself (rather that intermediary machine)? does it have to be a python? or is this the easiest solution we could consider? cuz recently I'm interested in learning python but confused with other scripting languages.

Python script integration in SCOM - Example needed?

Hello,
I've been googling around a lot looking for an example of Python script integrated with SCOM. I understood that is possible, but I only find example for PowerShell or VisualBasic (for instance here >> http://opsit.blogspot.hk/2013/11/scom-scripting-basics.html
). This link looks great for what I need, but it's not coded in Python.. :-(
I'm not a native programmer so I'm struggling in reading VisualBasic/PowerShell code and trying to understand how to do the same in Python. Even a simple example of Python+SCOM integration would be of great help in understanding how it works in terms
of libraries to include and input/output between the systems.
Can you point me towards any example of Python+SCOM integration?

I would prefer to rewrite your library in Powershell as it is fully supported by SCOM and you also get Powershell Know-How which is always fine :).

Slideshow is sized wrong after import as asset. need help

Hi all, I have a strange thing happening with a project. I have PPO 5.0. My project settings are HDV and my computer is:
Platform: iMac 2.66 GHz intel core i5, 8gb memory. OS: 10.6.6
I have about 2 hrs of footage that's fine. I wanted to add a Quicktime slideshow (.mov) as the last chapter. I imported the slideshow as an asset, then dragged it to the timeline. in the viewer it is now letterbox size when it should be widescreen!
Previewing it with Quicktime shows it displayed as widescreen just fine.
The properties of the .mov file are:
dimensions: 720 x 486
codecs: H.264 high efficiency AAC
color profile: SD 6-1-6
duration: 11:35
audio channels: 2
total bit rate: 1,934
On my timeline, the viewer settings are "fit" normally. when it comes to the section where the .mov file is, it is still "fit" but the screen is now very small.
ON THE TIMELINE if I click on the clip, Properties are:

Use data-sha1 attribute to compare scripts, css, etc. avoiding the need for CDNs that track

Hi, I would like to see an attribute added to FireFox (and every browser) to decrease tracking.
When webmasters use a public CDN (e.g. scripts.google.com or wherever) for things like jQuery etc., they are potentially opening up their users to tracking by those CDNs.
If we had a data-sha1 attribute that could contain the sha1sum of the script we are referencing, it could improve security and privacy in two ways:
A) Prevent cases where the CDN has been compromised altering the resource being referenced, because then the checksum won't match.
B) If the browser already has a script cached with a matching checksum, then it doesn't need to fetch it from any CDN or server etc. or even ask if the version it has is current. If the checksum of a resource in cache matches, then it is the same file regardless of where it came from and the browser does not need to send any headers to anyone.
Okay, the possibility of collisions exist even though the odds are astronomically low, so maybe verify the filename matches too.

Radio button's click event to script both ".presence" and ".mandatory" -- Need help !

I've adopted the script stated in HightlightOneRequiredField.pdf so that the print button in my form can detect and prevent null field before pop up the print dialog. It works fine.
In my form, I've created a mandatory 2-radio buttons group with click event script written, using ".presence", in each button. When user clicks:
Button A: make subform A visible and subform B invisible;
Button B: make subform A invisible and subform B visible.
Apart from the visibility of the subforms, what I want more is to add a .mandatory script (together with the click event) in the buttons to turn some fields' mandatory in the subforms on and off so that when user clicks:
Button A: will also turn some fields' value type in subform A to be "User
Entered-Required", whereas some of that in subform B to be "-
optional";
Button B: will turn the subform B's fields to "-Required" and subform A's
fields back to "-optional"
However no luck with me. When I press the print button after any of the radio buttons checked, the print dialog still show up even the subforms' fields are null as if those fields' value type always remain "-optional"
I wonder if this problem is caused by Chinese binding name ? The script written in the radio button B is:

Aggregation script is taking long time - need help on optimization

Hi All,
Currently we are working to build a BSO solution (version 11.1.2.2) for a customer where we are facing performance issue in aggregating the database. The most common activity of the solution will be to generate data on different scenario from Actual and Budget (Actual Vs Budget difference data in one scenario) and to be used for reporting purpose mainly.
We are aggregating the data to top level using AGG command for Sparse dimensions. While doing this activity, we found that it is creating a lot of page files and thereby filling up the present physical memory of the drive (to the tune of 70GB). Moreover it is taking a long time to aggregate. The no. of stored members that is present are as follows:
Dimension - Type - Stored member (Total members)
Account - Dense- 1597 (1845)
Period - Dense - 13 (19)
Year - Sparse - 11 (12)
Version - Sparse - 2 (2)
CV - Sparse- 5 (6)

We are using Buffered I/O
The level 0 datafile is about 3 GB.( 2 year budget and 1 year 2 months Actuals data)
Customer is going to use SmartView to retrieve the data and having Planning Plus License only. So could not go for an ASO solution. We could not reduce the members of huge Sparse dimensions M1 and CP as well. To improve the data retrieval time, we had to make upper level members as stored which resolved data retrieval issue
I am seeking for help on the following:
1. How can we optimize the time taken? Currently each dimension is taking about an hour to aggregate. Calc Dim is taking even longer time. Hence opted for AGG
2. Will change of dense and sparse setting help our cause? ACR is ona lower side. Please note that most calculations are either on Period dimensions or FC. There is no such calculation on Account dimension
3. Will change of a few non-level 0 members from store to dynamic-calc help? Will this slow down calculations in the cube?
4. What should be the best performance order for this cube?

My InDesign to PDF script ignores warnings, but I need to change that.

I have a script here that converts InDesign Docs to PDF files.
It works fine and was created to make bulk pdf's regardles of missing images.
Now I want to revise it so that it does stop for missing fonts and images.
This script also was built for quark and I can see where I could remove the supress all warnings dialog to remove it for the quark part, but I can't figure out where that warning is in the InDesign part to remove it.
Here is the script: If anyone can help me find out where this line of code is that I could remove, so that the script does stop if there are missing fonts and images, that would be great!!

Hello,
OK-I had then blew it... ;-(
I was playing with a combination of removing (commenting out those two try areas you suggested), and that didn't do it on its own. It didn't do anything, it just said finished.
Then I found this in the dictionary ( set alert missing images to true) and added it to the script below. See my changes in Bold.
At one point, I was able to get the missing images dialog box. Then I don't know what happened, I think I tried to turn one of the try areas back on to test it, and then it stopped giving me that dialog box and only the one being asked in that on error errmsg - display dialog "CreateIndesignPDF." & return & errmsg giving up after 20, was showing up.
I commented out what I thought I had changed, but even after compiling and re-saving, I can't seem to get the missing images dialog box to show???
any thoughts?

Assets needs to be deleted

There are some asset procured by raising the purchase order and now payment has been done to vendors. And depriciation is also posted for these asset.
But now I want to reverse the depriciation and then delete the asset.
Please let me know how it can be done.

Dear Gaurav,
Asset deletion is not possible , since you have potsed your acquisition , depreciation posting transactions to asset. And for reversing depreciation is not at all possible in SAP, however you make an adjustment postings for managing depreciation values.
This is possible with ABZU , ABAA write ups, manual depreciation postings.

Rented Assets needs to be Tracked in Assets Module

We are not using oracle property manager. but we want to track rented assets in Oracle Assets. We don't want to capitalize and depreciate these assets. Is there any way to achieve this in assets?

Thanks for the answer but we don't want to capitalize and don't even want to depreciate them. We just want them to be available in our asset books. They're not CIP assets. Treating them as those may be one way to do it. But here is another scenario which we are not clear about:
In assets, while defining asset categories, we have a check box 'Capitalize'. If I click on this then the same gets defaulted to all thye assets belonging to this category. Will such assets be then considered as non-capitalized assets. Will they be directy expensed out?
Our basic concern is just to track the assets. And because they are rented (and not owned), we don't want to capitalize or depreciate them.

Apple Script and MS Word Help needed for an AppleScript Newbie

I am a school teacher. I have to use a Windows program called Report Complete to write school reports on each child. After each report is written it is then exported from Report Complete into MS Word. However, after this process somehow the Language within Word is set to none, and the Spelling and Grammar check is switched off. Which is very inconvenient because it means that for each school report I have to set the language and turn on the S&G Check before I can proof read.
So...is there any way I can collect a batch of say 30 school reports (saved as Word97-2004 docs - not docx) into a folder, and run a script so that MS Word 2008 opens and the language and grammar check are set to English UK and on respectively? I would really appreciate it if someone could write the script for me!

Overlays? Need help ASAP!

So I took two images from google, one abstract render and one jpeg of COD4. I used the abstract render as my background layer and added text to make the next layer. Now what I want to do is take the jpeg and place it over the current two layers. Here is my question:
1. Everytime I try to open the image, the two current layers are gone and the image is the new background layer, how do I bring in the image without having it become the background?

That would be my guess.
Understand, Paul, that each file is its own document and will open in its own window. A document may be open, but hidden underneath another one. Your original document should still be there unless you close it.
To see what documents are open, go to the Window menu and look at the list on the bottom.
If you want to add the new image to the original have the windows open next to each other (NOT in Full Screen mode) and drag with the Move tool. Or Copy/Paste. Or Duplicate Layer with the target file as Destination.
