Script to do reverse video, or may be an access to the innards to turn the rendered stream reversed

Hello Experts,
A whole bunch of us who have undergone what might be described as traumatic treatment have been handed over a bunch of pdf ebooks to read for rehabilitation and alternative employment.
But the eyes hurt a lot from the white glare of the monitor. In the good old days there were simple viewers that supported reverse video option.
How to write a script that can reverse the video of the acrobat as one can do in many other programs?
Is there also a way to make the image permanently inverted in pdfs ? There is some issue with grey and color image based pdfs or vector ones which use rendering into colors than simply black and white.

P.S. No referral to commercial sites or solutions.

This feature to me is purely useless as there are many documents that are not
vector including the ones I mostly deal with in connection with research from
the peer reviewed journal of 911 studies or old journal scans. I need an adobe expert to provide
a solution to this basic problem or escalate it to a level to create a solution if
one does not exist, ie how to obtain a reverse video setting for the bitonal images
without actually reversing them. I bet there is a bit somewhere in the pdf standard
that can allow this toggle to be done.

    I've upgraded my 4th gen ipod to ios6.  I manually manage videos and music as it is easier to access my videos through playlists which I access through the music icon.  Since upgrading to ios6 the playlists are there but when I go into them the individual videos aren't visible.  I know they are there because I can access them through the videos icon.  Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

    If it does, turn it on and hold it up to your ear. If it's making a clicking sound, try hitting it easy a few times on the side. The idea is the hdd is "stuck" and hitting it loosens it. Just don't do it too hard to break it.

    Hello All...
    Back after a brief absence, things look a little bit different.
    I'm trying to take a 16 minute mini dv video and compress it for use on the web. I'm interested in any suggestions you may have on settings for the video and audio tracks. I've tried using Sorenson 3 (15 frames, key frames set to automatic, 320 x 240) for video and IMA 4:1 (mono) for audio. The resulting video looked great but the file size came in at about 255 Mb.
    Thanks!

    Thank you for the replies.  Everyone was correct about the jack, interface, and phasing problems.  I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work.  I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic.  When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones.  This actually helped.  I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems.  I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac.  I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed.  Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
    If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio.

  • I just moved my itunes library from a win 7 computer to a win 8.1 computer. Getting an error message "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. Can't play CDs or get audio file from web!

    Help! I just moved my itunes library from a Win 7 computer to a new Win 8.1 computer following the instructions on the itunes website. Everything is good except I'm getting an error message on the Win 8 computer if I try to play a CD or get an audio file off of the internet. I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. I don't know where to look for or fix the audio configuration on the win 8 computer. As far as I can tell the iTunes configuration looks the same as on the other computers in the house. At this point I don't dare plug my ipod touch into the Win 8 computer for fear it will get messed up.

    I have the same problem and I know that it is due to my PCI Audio driver not being compatible with WIndows 8.1.
    iTunes isn't the only program that can't direct sound to the built-in speakers anymore. The obvious solution would be to update the drivers, but unfortunately Dell does not provide an updated driver for my model, so I am stuck with that.
    However, saying that, only my laptop speakers are affected by this. I can use sound fine on applications where I can choose the output device and direct sound to the head phones, but for some reason iTunes does not let you choose the audio device manually.
    To listen to music I imported the iTunes Library in Windows Media Player and changed the audio output using the following instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/c00d11ba
    However, I would also like to rent movie's from iTunes,
    Would be great if iTunes would let you choose the output device, too, like most other applications using sound  from Skype to Windows Media Player,...

  • Error message after upgrade to iTunes 11: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point my PC running XP loses all audio.

    Several attempts to upgrade to iTunes 11 have failed.  After an upgrade to 11 the error message reads: "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly."  At this point--after the upgrade to iTunes 11--my PC running Windows XP loses audio playback for all functions--in iTunes, in the browser and the volume icon disappears from the System Tray.  Only by removing iTunes 11, and then using System Restore to turn back the OS settings can I return the PC to normal functioning.
    I did that.  I reinstalled iTunes 10.5.  Everything seemed fine, but when I try to plug in and copy a CD to my iPhone 4S an error message reads roughly: 'iPhone 4S requires iTunes 10.5 or higher to work.'
    What might be the problem with my audio configuration?
    Why doesn't my iPhone 4S work with iTunes 10.5?  It used to work with iTunes 10.5.
    Please advise.

  • This message recently popped up on my PC - "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly." What does this mean and how to fix ??

    Hi Everyone - recently this message popped up on my PC, when I was trying to import cd's into the iTunes library and then onto my iPod - "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly." Can anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it ?? I am not fantastically PC savvy, so any information explained fully and all steps to follow to get my music playing again would be great !! Thanks, SC

    Hi B, thanks so much for helping me troubleshoot !!
    Ok, so when I went in to check the Audio tab of the Sounds and Audio Device Properties, I found the following:-
    * Sound Playback Default Device = No Playback Devices.
    * Sound Recording Default Device = No Playback Devices.
    * MIDI Music Playback Default Device = No MIDI Playback Devices.
    All text in this drop-down box were light grey, and therefore unable to be selected or altered.
    I also tried playing a cd through Windows Media player, to see if I could get sound a different way. When I put the cd in and clicked on Play, the following message appeared, "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your PC, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functoning properly."
    Any ideas ? I had sound previously, but then a work colleague re-built the PC to add more space to the hard drive, and since then, no sound. I know this may now not just be an iTunes issue, but I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.
    Thanks again,

    When I open Itunes on my PC it says, Itunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/video playback may not operate properly. I removed some unused programs from my pc before this happened and I think I may have removed something I shouldn't have.

    I had this same problem and my sixteen year old figured it out. Since the Windows PC running iTunes (which supports a housefull of AppleTVs) was running in a closet, he suspected it was due to having no speakers attached.
    Sure enough, when I went into control panel to look at my sound settings, I noticed something I had missed previously. There was a red mark on the device. I took his advice and plugged in some earphones to the speaker jack and, wallah, the red mark turned green and the iTunes warning never popped up again.

    Hello Wade,
    This is typically indicative of an issue with the installation of QuickTime on your computer. The following article provides steps for reinstalling QuickTime to resolve the issue.
    "iTunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration"
    Resolution
    QuickTime may need to be reinstalled. Follow the steps below to uninstall QuickTime and then download and install QuickTime using the QuickTime standalone Installer.
    On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
    Follow the steps appropriate for your Windows operating system below.
    Windows XP and Windows 2000: Open the Add or Remove Programs control panel and selectQuickTime in the list of currently installed programs.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: Click Uninstall a program (or if using Windows Vista's Classic View of the Control Panel, click Programs and Features) and select QuickTime in the list of currently installed programs.
    Click the Remove button (or Uninstall for Windows Vista and Windows 7) and follow the prompts to remove QuickTime from your computer.
    Download QuickTime. Note: There are two options for downloading QuickTime, be sure to select the option that does not include iTunes.
    During the download:
    If you choose to run the installer, proceed to the next step.
    If you choose to save the download, double click the QuickTimeInstaller file, then proceed to next step.
    Follow the on-screen instructions to install QuickTime.
    Reopen iTunes.

  • Is there a script that can prevent videos to work?

    I have a template from template monster , and for some reason
    videos wont play in it , its like it totally ignores the video, so
    i was wondering if template monster put a script somewhere that
    disables video.
    Thanks

    I highly doubt that. I have seen several templates from
    template monster (from people sending me them in order to help
    them), and I have to say that those templates are crap. The code
    they use seems like it came from Flash 5. They are WAY over-coded
    and almost impossible to trace their logic in order to add or
    subtract elements from the template.
    Anyway, I'm sure the video not playing has something to do
    with your code and/or how you are applying it. Can you post
    something to look at (maybe yet another crappy template)...

  • Selected audio and video devices may not match

    Hello - I was able to Print to Video w/no problem, from my Mac Book Pro, to my Panasonic PV-GS320 w/no problem. Now, all of a sudden, when trying to do this, I get this msg.:
    'The selected audio and video devices may not match. Please verify that the a/v outputs are externally routed to the intended device(s).'
    Not sure what happened, or what changed, but here is my setup:
    Sequence & Capture Presets are both: DV NTSC 48 kHz
    Device control preset: FireWire Basic
    Video Playback: Apple Firewire NYSC (720 x 480)
    Audio Playback: Default
    Like I said, I don't know what got changed, but, it was working before - hope someone can help, thanks so much!!
    Kristina

    I think I found the problem...I had forgotten to switch my Device Control Preset back to FireWire, from the previous non-controllable - thanks so much!

  • Script to copy Flash video from npviewer.bin to the home

    Hi all, some times ago flash video were stored in /tmp and I was able to copy them out. Now this desn't happen any more. I have searched out for a while and I have written a command to copy them from the process npviewer.bin to the home.
    Here's the script:
    #!/bin/bash
    cp `lsof | grep Flash | \
    awk '
    if (NF != 10) {
    proc="pnf";
    inode="inf";
    else {
    proc=$2;
    inode=substr($4, 1, length($4)-1);
    print "/proc/"proc"/fd/"inode;
    } '` ~
    This does the trick but I'd like to improve/correct it, there are some things about cp and awk which I haven't understood.
    For example: if I moove the '~' inside print, like this:
    #!/bin/bash
    cp `lsof | grep Flash | \
    awk '
    if (NF != 10) {
    proc="pnf";
    inode="inf";
    else {
    proc=$2;
    inode=substr($4, 1, length($4)-1);
    print "/proc/"proc"/fd/"inode, "~";
    } '`
    the code between `...` produce the correct (I think) output like this (I had 3 Youtube tabs opened on Chrome):
    /proc/5149/fd/11 ~
    /proc/5149/fd/14 ~
    /proc/5149/fd/15 ~
    but cp complies that the target "~" is not a directory.
    Any comment, suggestion, improvement? Thanks!

    My command looks for files that are opened by a process and that contains "Flash" in their instance. Those kind of files are generated for example when you buffer a flash video and are deleted when you close the browser tab.
    Find command doesn't make this selection and gets lost! On my pc your command generates this term output (sorry for the Italian):
