SAP "Z" Script Transport from DEV -- TO-- QTY Server

Experts....
We have created a Z SAP Script. in DEVELOPMENT CLIENT : 100
We have successfully transported the changes from DEVELOPMENT CLIENT to UNIT TESTING CLIENT 120 in the same system thru SCC1.
UNIT TESTING RESULTS are OK, and our DEVELOPER has given a request to import into production.
But we imported the request, But changes are not reflecting in QUALITY.
I found below thread but i failed to understand...the last steps...
Can any one please help in this regard.

Finally.....We could able to close this....
Weunderstood....to do inital fill in target client we do it from "000" clinet to "XXX" target clinet
once it is available ..the rest all goes with CLASSIC TRANSPORT APPROACH.
Not sure why the inital Transport request with changed did nor worked.
With the help of ABAP Expert...we just reactivated the in SE71 and added into request
imported the request into Quality & Worked..
When the inital fill is completed for SAP Standard ,
the rest of changes to is managed thru SAP Classic Transport Method.
For "Z" script..even no where connected with "000" client.
As we fixed with above assumptions...we conclude as above....
i request any expert to correct us if our assumptions in wrong direction.

Interactive Scripting Transport

Hi experts
I have created the interactive scripts in Dev System. I have used transport icon in ISE to transport from Dev to QA. But, when i have imported in Quality, Branching action (which is included in script) is missing / not got transported. I have transported the relevant ABAP class first, before transporting the actual scripts.
Can anyone guide me what is the best practice for scripting transport.
1) Is there anything i have missed?
2) How does delta-transport will work? Means, if i makes any change in Dev and transports again to QA, how it behaves?
3) What is the approach to transport Scripts that contain Branching/Non-branching actions?
4) Once transport is finished, can i activate the script again in Dev? Does it impact anything?
I would appreciate your expert help in this regard.

Hi Surya,
Very valid questions asked and I feel disappointed that despite 4 yrs, I still stand at same place where you were in 2010. I also have the exact questions as I could not find any proper document related to IS transports. There many ifs and buts and dos and don't and with my experience in SAP CRM, I generally prefer to find the right ways and learn from the lessons others might have learnt when trying the same thing.
Can you please advice from your experience your take on the approach and procedure for IS transports for these questions ?

Reg script transportation

I have made the necessary changes in scripts and saved it. Now i want to release it for quality. How can i know the request no. to release in se09.
for first time it will ask but for second time how can we get it.

Hi Ratna,
You can look up the transport request for Script in SE03.
SE03 -> Search for objects in requests/tasks -> Put object type as FORM and give name of your SAP script -> Execute.
You'll get a list of TRs for your Script.

Client dependent SCRIPT transporting to QA systems?

Hi,
We hv clients like below,
clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet)
clinet_EU for Europe region
clinet_US for US region.
We hv a Z_Script_Invoice, meant (developed and using) for Europe region i.e. in clinet_EU
We r supposed to do changes (create TR/CR) only in clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet).
I got a requirement of fixing some issue in this script.
So, I made changes in the script in clinet_gold (100- Gold clinet), so TR/CR is created here in this client, fine.
Then, I logged in to clinet_EU>SE71->Menu->Utilities>COPY FROM CLIENT.......so, I entered the selection screen fields and OVER WRITTEN the existing script, so that, my changes are reflected, fine.
So, now, the created TR/CR is released to QA, so, pls. let me know,
1) Where and Where I can see my changes in QA boxes? in perspective of clinet_gold_QA, clinet_EU_QA?
2) Or by default this TR/CR will get imported in ALL test (QA) systems?

you should not do client_eu->se71.......
You should go to client_eu
execute the transaction scc1
and provide the transport request number which u have create for changes for script in client_gold.
and check the check box immediately
this will bring the changes from clent client_gold to client_eu.
se71->goto->copy from clients is used when we create new script from already existing.

I understand from a SAP Note (can't recall the number) that actions cannot be transported.
However let me know if things have changed :-) What approach you took ?
By the way, I am trying to design the script in such a way that transporting can be easy - I would like your input here.I am on CRM7.0 Ehp 2.
Can you please advise any precautions I must take when transporting the scripts based on your experience ? Also if possible, can you list the steps or may be create a blog - I am sure it will help a lot of people.

Problems With Transporting Interaction Center Scripts

I have problem when I select a Script and click on Transport button in the Web UI for the interaction center, IC_Manager Role. After clicking on the transport button I need to check in the back end (transaction code SE01), if a customizing request has been created for that script I selected.
So the problem is how do we find out if there is customizin request for that script or not? Is there a Pop Up window which comes after clicking on Transport button which would give me a customizin request number, which could be later used to find the request in backend?

Try checking this in the BSP Application CRM_IC_ISE.
If you open the script on the third tab (Script Transport) you can see the transport details.

Systems in same transport domain, but PRD import queue is empty

Hi all!
I have previously set up ERP 2005 development and QAS system, and there has been some development and transporting occuring between these two systems. Now I have installed the production system and added it to the transport landscape in STMS. The three system are in the same transport domain and the same transport group. In STMS I have created the Delivery route to the PRD system.
When I check the import queue for the production system, only transports created AFTER the installation of the production system appear in the import queue. Transports created and released from DEV to QAS before the production system was available is not displayed in the queue.I know that I can add single requests to the import queue easily, but that required a lot of manual work and making sure that the transports are added to the queue in the correct sequence.
How can I get all the transports to appear in the PRD system import queue? In AL11 in PRD, I am able to access the TRANS_DIR and I see all the transport requests in the directory.

"Only transports created AFTER the installation of the production system appear in the import queue." - This is expected
From table E070, you can get a list of all transport imported into QAS system. Sort that list according to the date imported, and save the transport requests into a text file.
Run this below script from production by logging in as <sid>adm.
Provide the transport text file as an input to the script. It will add the transports to queue automatically one by one.

Problems in Interactive script editor.

Hi,
I am not able to see the buttons 'Transport', 'Activate' ..etc in the interactive script editor. Also the tabs 'Script Transport' and 'Script Profile' are missing.
Do we need to do any settings or dow we need to have any authorizations for this.
Please anyone clarify.

Hi,
I have reinstalled JRE to 1.4.2_16, and use IE 6.0. I have CRM 5.0.
but I don't see any difference in behaviour - Interactive Script Editor works as it worked earlier (active only Create and Open from file). Also it diplays error message "Error occured" - and nothing more :(. I cannot do anything.
With Java 6 update 3 - still no changes. When I uninstalled JRE and update and installed jre 1.3.1._06 still the same message in IE when working with ISE.
Can you help?
In sap note 894119 I cannot understand sentence : "When using Internet
Explorer, HTMLB Design2003 should be used."
Could you explain what it is? I cannot find it in web.

Problem in working with Interactive Scrip Editor?

Hi,
I have logged in as interaction center manager and working with interactive script editor, the problem that i am facing is that when i click on create new option with script as subgroup nothing is showing up,just one tab script chapter.
On the other hand if i am selecting any script from the repository on the right hand side its showing all the tabs script properties,script profiles,script chapters,script transport.
also i am able to drag and drop questions in the same but at the time of creating a new script none of things is happening.
what might be reason or m i missing out something???

It is almost like having a JPEG, that contains a TGA, or a TIFF, or a PCX, or any number of what we see as other formats. It can be daunting, but let's start at the beginning.

As you see from that first link, the format is just a "wrapper," and can contain all sorts of "stuff." That FAQ Entry will tell you how to "peek inside" the wrapper. That is what we need, as Mylenium asks. If you can let us know all about the faulting files, maybe someone can help you.
Also, PS has somewhat limited Video support, both on Decode and Encode, so, and depending on what you have, you might have to convert that/those file(s).

Package in Devlopment not appearing in Quality

Hi Gurus,
Here my problem is: I have Package in Development that is not appearing in quality but the objects in the package are appearing in quality and working fine.
In case of script transport from development to quality then it is throwing an error that the package doesnot exist. Please help me to sort out this problem.

Hi kranti,
1. One way is goto se21 tcode.
2. Enter the package name
3. Save (by changing little bit the text, and then revert back after saving)
4. It will ask for new request number
(If the original request number has been released).
5. Then u can transport this request number ( which contains the package),
by asking the basis team.

Problem in Transporting ZTABLE and SCRIPT

Hi Experts,
 I am an ABAP Developer. We have developed a Custom Script ZSCRIPT which fetches data from a ZTABLE. The problem here is when I am trying to transport the Objects from Development Server to Quality the ZTABLE and ZSCRIPT are not getting transported, i.e the changes that we have made in Development are not taking effect in the Quality.
Could anyone give me valuable solutions for the above stated problem.

Hai Kumar,
first take the request number.
goto se01->give request number
you will get all two numbers:
first release the sub-level, then release the top level.
now it is relaesed from development and u can check it in quality.

Use The Program SAPCTS_TOOLS.
Then Click On Change Object Directory Entries Under Object Directory-->Enter FORM Under DTEL(DATA Element)
Select The Check Box And Give The Object Name-->Execute.
Click On the Form and Then Click On Object directory Button.

For uploading/downloading into different servers.
follow the following steps.
execute the program RSTXSCRP
for DOWNLOADING
1. select form radio button and enter the form name in Object name field and mode as IMPORT.
2. In ctrl parameters for file operation
select first radio button Form and give file path to down load and execute.
for UPLOADING
3. select form radio button and enter the form name in Object name field and mode as EXPORT.
2. In ctrl parameters for file operation
select first radio button Formand give file path to upload and execute.
for Copyinnto different clients
Go to SE71 > utilities-> copy from client-->give source form name and give target form name(Zform) execute.

Portal Transport Set(EXPORT) script not running.

Hi,
I have created a Instant portal(10 Appli Rel 2) which is on OS
[SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586) VERSION = 9 ] .
Now I want to create transport set and want to export that instant portal to another
SUSE LINUX server.
But the problem I am facing is that the script that is generating by the EXPORT WIZARD is
for UNIX which has .CSH extension.
So i am not able to rum that thing...as Linux use .SH .....can anyone help me to run that thing .......

DId you run the script to put the trasnport set ready for been include?
When you create a transport set, automaticaly you can get the dmp from it, but when you import it, you need to run the script that willmake a import in db level so you can import it in the portal, is like making two imports, one at portal, one at command line using the script, and you run it like script.cmd -mode import -s portalschema -c orcl -pu orcladmin -d filename.dmp where -mode indicate that is going to be an import, -c db SID name, -pu Portal User -d File created during export and -s db schema for portal.
