My requirement is like i need to develop customer statements for X country will be slightly different than the standard SAP Customer statements used by tcode F.27 for example removal of fields and adding of some fields.
Iam new to forms.could you please explain what are the basic steps to follow to work on this requirement.

To create query i have used following steps
1. In SQVI check the Infoset name associated with the query you are trying to run.
2. Go to SQ02 using the infoset name.
3. Select "Field Groups" on the toolbar. Add the field in this field group.
4. Go to the "Code" tab on the next screen.
5. Select "Code Section" as "Record Processing" and write the code to populate the
column.
6. Activate the Infoset and then activate the Query also.
After this how to assign a tcode for the query
pls explain in detail.

Follow the below mentioned steps:
Go to Tcode SE93 give the name of the tcode which you want to be create. Give description in the next screen and select last or 5th radio button(Transaction with Parameters) and press enter in the next screen give the Transaction as START_REPORT, next check the skip initial screen check box, next select all the GUI support check boxes, next in default values section D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE = AQ(Give your own text), D_SREPOVARI-REPORT = your query name, then save it and check it.

How to assign a TCODE to Menu Path

Hi,
I have to assign a TCODE to Menu path. I saw many threads but its not helping.
Could you please let me know how to create.

Is it a Standard Transaction by SAP?
1)Once you log in to SAP Click on Menu >> SAP Menu.
Now you can see the Standard Path of SAP
2) Extras>> Setiings >> Tick the box for Display technical Settings.
Now when you drilldown the folders you will be able to view the T-codes in the folders.
3) You need to find that it belongs to which Moudule, Like FI , MM, SD etc then go to the specific folder of the module and do a drill down. You will find the T-Code.
If you find it difficult, then you can create you own T-Code Path in Favorites Folder, by right clicking on Favorites folder you can add a transaction or add a subfolder.

Regarding Smartform Assigning to TCODE MR90

Hi Friends,
I have my Print program and Smartform designed for which if i see Print preview it looks fine .
But when this Print porgram assigned to Tcode MR90.
There when i am seeing Print preview i still get my O/p as expected But when i hit Execute button for which spool get created some times certain values which are totals in my smartform values changes for the same in print preview looks Good.
What can be the issue when i get my preview correct but Spool data shown incorrectly.

These are variable which i am populating in Printprogram and passing through Interface parameters .
If its the case with clearing varible should it not be the case with when i see preview also ?

How to assign alternate Tcode to SM30

Dear SDNers,
The program assiged to SM30 is SAPMSVMA.
The user does not have aunthorization to reach SM30
So how can we assign a different Tcode to the same program .
I am unable to tag a diff tcode name to the same program because that will result in dump.
Should i copy the porgram SAPMSVMA to a Zprogram and then assign the TCode?
Or if there is an alternate approch to the same kindly guide me.

Hi SuryaD,
I believe user may want to access SM30 to maintain table view, you can actually use SE93 to maintain another transaction code without having to access SM30, as we don't encourage user to access SM30 directly.
Here are the steps:
1. Goto Transaction Code SE93.
2. Put your Transaction Code name, and hit 'Create' button.
3. Select the last option (Transaction with parameters) at the next screen.
4. At 'Default values for' section, key-in Transaction Code (SM30 in this case), and select skip first screen option.
5. At 'Default Values' section, fill up the following Parameter:
   Name of screen field                  Value
View Name                                  your table name
Update                                         'X'
6. Save your settings, and run the new transaction code.

Assignment of Tcode for Report painter's report

Hi,
I have created one report on Controlling module through report painter. I created Sets - Variable - created report on Library - assigned variable to that report and included that report into Report Group as ZCC8 before final execute. Now I want to add that report into form of Tcode like "Y_TU4_04000027". Normally ABAP Consultants developed report and before delivery of that report to client they attach that report into as tecode form like name as Z or Y through tcode SE93 where tcodes are created. Same way please let me know how report painter's tcode are created like Y or Z. I do not like to give report group name as ZCC8 to our client for executing the report. It should deliver as tcode form.

1. Create the transaction code,say, ZF01_TCODE from Se93
2. Choose "Transaction with parameters".. Press enter
3. Enter START_REPORT in the Transaction field and press Enter
4. Select the Skip initial screen and Inherit GUI attributes check boxes
5. On the same screen, scroll down to the Default Values table and select parameters D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE and
D_SREPOVARI-REPORT.
6. Enter RW for the report type and your report group ZCC8 as the report value
7. Now you can save your transaction and transport it to other systems

Variant assignment to Tcode of Report

Hi All,
Please go through my whole query. It's bit confusing but I tried to explain in detail what is my requirement and what all I did.
My requirement is, to execute a particular REPORT directly using Variant (Execute with Variant option of SE38-> SHIFT + F6).
I created a Variant for Report. Same Variant I assigned to the TCODE which I am using to execute the Report.
But while executing a Tcode I was encountering an error "Transaction cannot be tested due to inconsistencies".
So, I tried using the System Variant (using prefix CUS&) and it worked. But after transporting the TR to Quality server, I am getting error "Variant not found". Please help me.
P.S.: This is not a simple report which I am executing. As per requirement, I created one SAP Query using SQ01. And the code generated out of it is pasted in the above mentioned report.

@Koolspy: I couldn't try your solution because I didn't had authorizations for another server.
Somehow I managed to solve my query. Here is what I did,
1) I opened the System Variant in Change mode.
2) Tried saving it.
3) Got option of providing the TR number, which was the only catch.
4) Moved the TR in Quality.
5) Now its available to run the program in Quality.
But new problem encountered
My all Selection texts and Message texts are not getting displayed in Quality.
Because I created a SAP Query and pasted the generated code into new Z Program, there is no specific message class available. So I can't move it. Am I supposed to handle the texts in different manner?

Document types assigned to TCode

I want to know which TCode uses which document type. Let me know the TCode for the same. OBA7 is not useful for the same.

In SAP, the number range intervals are created for various types of transactions in different work areas and
each of these intervals are created and updated in different data base tables. As I have mentioned earlier,
either you can search through various number range objects in SNUM or in IMG screen if you click the
binocular icon or use ctrl+f and enter search term as number range, you will find all the work areas
where number range intervals are required to be created for different type of transactions. You cannot
narrow it down to a single T.code to find the number ranges of different objects excepting SNRO.

Yes u can do it via se93.
You have to pick up the prog name in SQ01 when u are on the selection screen ( via the menu : System -> status )

Dump thrown when tcode for screen painter assigned

HI guys,
I have created a screen and wanted to check how it looks at runtime, for this i assigned a tcode to the report. Now when i run the tcode it throws a dump. the dump is as follows.
The CONTROL "TCTRL_ENTRY" was searched for but not found.
These is either an inconsistency between the screen and the program or
an incorrect ABAP statement (for example, REFRESH CONTROL .. FROM SCREEN
with incorrect control name).
    MODULE STATUS_1000 OUTPUT.
     SET PF-STATUS 'SCR_1000'.
     SET TITLEBAR '001'.
ENDMODULE.                 " The pointer for error is at this line
What could be the possible error?? please let me know.

Do your main program have the piece of code like the following?
CONTROLS:TC_9998 TYPE TABLEVIEW USING SCREEN 9998.
This way you have to declare a table contol. Do it simply with your Table Control name and the screen in which you are using it.E.g. in my case screen is 9998.

ARIS - SAP Integration - Assigning Tcodes in SOLMAN FROM ARIS

Hi.
As highlighted in subject of this query, I am facing this issue while integrating ARIS with SOLMAN. I have assigned the tcodes to the process steps in ARIS. When I synchronize ARIS with SOLMAN, Level 1, Level 2 & Level 3 nodes are created in SOLMAN. Ideally Level 3 node should have tcodes assigned with them under Transactions tab, but these are not picking up as per assigned in ARIS.
Any guidance shall be highly appreciated

Custom TCODE-Auth Object Assignment

Hello All- I see a very weird thing with custom TCODE assignment, here is what I see:
1)We have Display role which has all functions tcodes in it, which goes to every one on PRD.
2)Usually we assign custom tcodes which are not critical to this role, and this custom tcode would have no auth objects assigned or checked during access.
3)When I assign custom tcode to test role, I see its not pulling auth objects in PFCG which is what I expected.
***4)However when I assign this custom tcode to 'Display role' which have many standard tcodes in it, I see many of the auth objects "lights turning in to Yellow" (as you know its asking me to maintain value)
5)I checked in SU24/SU22, to see if its pulling any auth objects...no objects are tied to this tcode.
I dont know why this is happening?
Again if I assign to test role, no objects is showing up in PFCG which is what I want!
Any suggestions of to handle this issue, I will really appreciate your thoughts.

This is happening not because of the Custom TCodes you have added. The reason are either of the following:
1. In previous cases when some other TCodes (SAP Standard) were added, the the profile regeneration was not carried out by entering Authorization data through "Expert Mode for Profile Generation" (or used with option "Edit Old Status" only). Instead, "Change Authorization Data" was used. And thus the Object proposals for New entries in Menu were not pulled into Profile Generator at that time. Now it's coming. Surely you entered with Expert Mode for Profile Generation --> Read Old status and Merge with New data.
2. Other option can be: Earlier some Objects were changed which were present there only with "Standard" status. It should have been done by copying the Object and change the copied one. Then make the standard one "Inactive".
3. The Inactive Object described in the 2nd point has been Deleted and the object with status "Changed" is left only. Now when you are entering with "Expert Mode for Profile Generation" it's pulling those standard proposals again.
Let me know if the probable reason of Yellow traffic lights are clear to you or need more details.
