Scripting active configuration deployment location for an oracle module

Hi,
Does anyone know how to script the setting of the active configuration deployment location for an oracle module?
I have executed the following which works fine but I can't figure out how to make it active so the module shows up in the control center to allow deployment.
I can of course do it manually in the design center by right clicking on the module in the design center, selecting 'Configure' and then (strangely) just selecting the location property which then automatically sets the active location and then it shows up in the control center.
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' ADD REFERENCE LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION' SET AS DEFAULT
Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE 'MOD_EXT' SET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION 'MIG_EXT_LOCATION'
Oracle module MOD_EXT altered.
Any ideas?

Hi Brad,
before you set the location you have to set the correct configuration (in case you use more configurations than the default "DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION") as active configuration:
OMBCAC 'MY_CONFIGURATION'

There is a pack called "Configuration Management" for the database. This pack manage hardware , software , updates, patches, etc for host that have installed any Oracle Software.
Now, in EM Release 2 there is a new pack "Configuration Managment Pack for Non Oracle Systems" wich basically will allow me to the same but without the requirement to have any Oracle software installed.
The question is : Where can i find a white paper about it? i been looking around and there is only mentions of the product, but not extra info. I know is out already 3k p/processor..

JSF, ADF BC, 11g - Configure default location for pageDefs

Hi all,
As the title suggests, I was wondering if there is anyway to configure the default location for pageDefs.
I've been having some issues when creating a page through faces-config.xml.
If I don't put a folder before the jsp name when declaring the page in the faces-config - eg. /Home.jsp - then the pageDef is created in the correct place - eg. /adfmsrc/com/delexian/app/pageDefs
However if I do put a folder before the jsp name - eg. /app/Home.jsp - then it puts the pageDef in /adfmsrc/app
Anyone know of a workaround?

a few days agi.

Configure SUP location for IBCM (Internet Only) Clients

I'm using ConfigMgr 2012 R2 with a single primary site. I have a second site server deployed in the DMZ configured
for Internet clients. I have a Internet MP and DP configured with SSL and they are working well.
I have a question about how to configure the SUP for internet only clients. I configured my internet facing SUP to require SSL and configured it for Internet and Intranet clients.
I installed the ConfigMgr 2012 client on my test machines with the CCMALWAYSINF=1 option to be connected internet only.
The clients are not getting a local policy to connect to the SUP and if I add the internet SUP in the local group policy myself it doesn't do anything. If I run the "windows updates" cycle from the Windows Update client (NOT
ConfigMgr) it seems to connect and sync with the SUP (WindowsUpdate.log) but ConfigMgr does not appear to recognize the SUP and doesn't point the clients to connect to it and upload the results.
Any Ideas how to force my clients to connect to the internet facing (IBCM) SUP to scan for required updates? Anybody deploy a internet SUP lately that can provide some guidance? Thank you very much

Check the log file(s) on the Internet facing site system. The easiest method to check the sync status is by going to the monitoring workspace in the console and then look at the
Software Update Point Synchronization Status node.

Configuring log location for Adobe Document Services specific log

Hi All,
Interesting one for you. I am currently helping to resolve a PDF rendering issue which is intermittent. I have sent the default trace logs to SAP, however, there is an additional adobe specific log which should be written to /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/AdobeDocumentServices/renderErrorLog/errorFiles. However, my default trace is saying that they are written to the the wrong SID and also puts a double // between gloab and AdobeDocumentServices, which of course is never going to work.
The system in question is a fully supported system copy of our Production environment, created using SAP sapinst tools.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to edit/configure the renderErrorLog location I would be most relieved as there does not appear to be anything in the Visual Administrator or Config tool.

All the form-related services have to be started first: the IIOP on dispatcher and server, all the Document Services *, PDF manupulation and XML form module.

Pre-configure save location for converting files to PDF from shell context menu

Hi all,
I like Acrobat's integration into the Windows Explorer through the shell context menu command "Convert to PDF", which allows me to drag select a number of files (word documents et cetera) to batch convert them into PDF. It beats doing batch processing fr the Acrobat interface.
However, it asks me for the save location of each file individually. I would like to have them saved in the same directory as the original file, as the default option so I won't have to attend to the conversion. I can't find such an option in Acrobat's preferences menu though
Any gurus or users here know of a way around that?

Does your user have custom add-ons besides the Acrobat PDFMaker add-on? If so, try disabling the other add-ons as a test to see if you get the same results.
Does your user have a custom template? Try moving it out and using the standard MS Word template as test?
Did your user have a previous installation of Adobe Acrobat?? If so, check the Add-ons to see if an older version is still registered with MS Word.

OMB command to set the location of an ODBC module

I am writing OMB scripts to deploy an OWB project to a production environment.
In the deployment script, I set the location of an Oracle module using the OMB commands :
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '<modulename>' ADD REFERENCE LOCATION '<locationname>' SET AS DEFAULT
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '<modulename>' SET PROPERTIES (DB_LOCATION) VALUES ('<locationname>')
I also have an ODBC module for which I need to assign a location in the same way
What is the OMB syntax to achieve this?

You can use GATEWAY_MODULE for these. For example ...
OMBALTER GATEWAY_MODULE '<modulename>' SET PROPERTIES (DB_LOCATION) VALUES ('<locationname>')

Possible locations for Listener.ora in a global listener configuration

Can someone please let me know what are the possible locations for keeping listener.ora in a global listener configuration.
i know about /etc and /var/opt/oracle , any other locations allowed by Oracle?
I have currently placed it in /etc/oracle. Not sure if this is correct.

Hm never heard of global listener configuration.
Basic listener configuration file listener.ora is always in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin dir or in $TNS_ADMIN directory.
Listener configuration may differ for different oracle home versions.

Mapping deploy for Non-Oracle Data Source hangs

Oracle version is 10.2.0.3 and OWB version is 10.2.0.1.3.1

That helpes quite a bit. I still can't get the app to retrieve data, but I am getting a more useful message in the log:
[Error in allocating a connection. Cause: Connection could not be allocated because: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied]
As you suggested, I removed the <default-resource-principal> stuff from sun-web.xml and modified it to match your example. Additionally, I changed the <res-ref-name> in web.xml from "jdbc/jdbc-simple" to "jdbc/oracle-dev".
The Connection Pool "Ping" from the Admin Console is successful with the user and password I have set in the parameters. (it fails if I change them, so I am pretty sure that is set up correctly) Is there another place I should check for user/pass information? Do I need to do anything to the samples/database.properties file?
By the way, this is the 4th quarter 2004 release of app server. Would it be beneficial to move to the Q1 2005 beta?

250 location for Callmanager 5.1(2b)

Hello,
I have configured 300 location in one cluster with CKM 5.1.2b, when i try to configure the location for one gateway, in the location option i am only allowed to selec from the first 250 and i dont have the fin option to select the other 50.
Does any one have the same problem?

I think max 250 location are allowed in CCM 5.1.

How to Deploy all mappings in a module using OMB+

Hi,
I am using OMB+ to deploy project from DEV to QA , i used a OMB+ script to do the export and one import script to do the import/deployment
both Export and Import are working fine , the problem is in the Deploy part of Import script,
in this script I am connecting to the Repository and importing the Project from DEV and then changed the Context to the module and then connected to the Control centre , when i tried to deploy the mapping i get the error saying the location is not registered to the module
ususally if i use the GUI i double click the module and add the location to the module, howcan i do that in OMB+ ,
Example script would help me a lot
and for deploying the mappings i am using
OMBCREATE TRANSIENT DEPLOYMENT_ACTION_PLAN 'DEPLOY_PLAN' ADD ACTION 'MAP_DEPLOY' SET PROPERTIES (OPERATION) VALUES ('CREATE') SET REFERENCE MAPPING 'MAPPING NAME'
but i don't want to pass mapping names like this i just want to deploy all mappings in a single step

I embeded your script in mine but i was getting errors , i am still trying to resolve it, mine is a TCL script can u please suggest me where actually i should incorporate the ur code and to what level,

Oracle Module Configurtion

Hello,
I am using OMBPLUS to deploy code into QA environment. I created locations and imported MDL into QA repository. Now I am trying to deploy tables and mappings. But before I do that I have to assign locations to the oracle modules. I tried doing following
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '$TARGETMODULE' SET REFERENCE LOCATION 'ENT_STAR_LOCATION'
OMBALTER ORACLE_MODULE '$TARGETMODULE' SET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION 'ENT_STAR_LOCATION'
But when I try to deploy objects I get error.
'OMB05619: No Location defined for Module'
Am I missing anything ? Any help is appreciated. I am using OWB version 10.2.0.2.8.

but unable to set the value of evaluation location...

Please see below information and steps I followed
1. My PC running on Windows 7 64 bit
2. Installed Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1.0 software
3. Created a listner after insalling above database software
4. Created data warehouse database and unlocked OWBSYS and OWBSYS_AUDIT accounts
5. Set ORACLE_HOME=C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\
6. Set TNS_ADMIN=C:\oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2\NETWORK\ADMIN
7. After doing this I was able to connect all the source and data warehouse databases I am concerned with.
7. Installed Oracle Warehouse Builder Client 11.2.0.3.0 64 bit
8. Created repository using repository assistant insatlled duing database software.
9. Created oracle database module for the schema created under data warehouse database.
10. Tried to import database objects for the oracle module and got the error explained above when clicked on Finish
Please someone reply to this thread since I searched lot on google and didn't get any solution and not understanding what this issue is.

it looks like not all objects are created for XX_BPEL_CREATEUSEMP
synonyms and all grants are there ?

No SOA configured servers found for deploying

Hi
I am very much novice in BPEL. I have created a very small BPEL process and tried to deploy it in Weblogic Server.I get this message in the deployement log:

I checked the entreprise manager (EM) & I discovered that I have no SOA folder ,no soa_infra and no managed server called soa_server1 in my managed servers list!!
can you help me to fiw this please?

Login to weblogic admin console and go to section "Deployments". Make sure that application SOA-INFRA is in active state. If it is not then check SOA server startup log to find out any errors which could not let SOA-INFRA deploy. You may refer -
