Scripting Question for Remote & Command list

There must be some info on the commands / functions allowed for DVDSP scripting. For instance, how does one know ran = random. div = divide. Can you please point me in that direction. Note: already looked at the 2 tutorial sites suggested and the book authors mentioned, and while those were helpful looking for a comprehensive list, or at least some list like so many of my other programming books contain.
More advanced question: Does anyone know the scripting conversion for the remote control. For example
if remote = play jump end....
or
if controller = next jump start...
Not sure what the code would look like, but it must be fairly simple, and someone must know the answer:)
Thanks!!!

No probs. If you're more specific we could maybe help more. I mean you could write a script and then make the button target that script, or make all buttons target a script and make decisions based on which button was pressed... but there isn't always much point cause you dont have the interactivity level you do with Flash/Director,

P.S Thanks for coming back to the thread. To help the new system, when you feel the question has been answered can you mark it answered/helpful etc, cheers.

  • Uninstall IE10 script or other remote command

    Hi,
    Please note that I originally submitted this under Internet Explorer category and was told to move it here.
    Obviously on a localised, single PC, to uninstall IE10 and revert to IE8 you would simply go into Control Panel, Programs & Features, View Installed Updates, find IE10 and uninstall.
    However, planning a mass rollout like I am, I need to be able to uninstall IE10 on multiple PC's at once. In a disastrous scenario, I would want to uninstall it from all PC's as soon as possible (up to 300).
    I did some Google-ing and found a couple of answers however for whatever reason, the command I found seems not to work if a non-administrative account is logged on even if I instruct the script to run as local system or a specific admin account. The command
    does work on a local PC if you first run command prompt as an administrator then enter the command, but as mentioned at the beginning of this question, I need to be able to do it remotely and not manually.
    FYI the current answer I found is to run this script:
    FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*10.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet"
    Does anyone have a cleaner, more guaranteed way to uninstall IE10?
    Thanks.

    I have used the below script and it worked quite well, but it was on my work station.
    FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*10.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart"
    Is there some reason why you aren't going to update your image and remove IE10 before you deploy it to 300 systems?

  • Question For Vikas: Select List Colors

    Vikas,
    I've seen somewhere
    you posted a site:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=24317:104
    Can you still do that with an htmldb_item.select_list?
    If yes how can you do that because I've been struggling
    for weeks to find this answer and all of a sudden now
    I've seen your example
    Thank you

    My example is a variant of the master's example (Carl Backstrom) of a similar nature.
    Basically, the styling is done with a Javascript in the region footer, so you can apply it to anything. The code is
    var pThis = document.getElementById('P104_SELECT');
    var pThose = pThis.getElementsByTagName('OPTION');
    for(var j=0;j < pThose.length;j++){
        pThose[j].style.background = pThose[j].value;
    }Basically, the select list option value itself is the color name.
    Things get a little trickier in a tabular form because you have many select lists, but I think the basic concept should hold good. The above code just grabs a specific select list and loops over its options. You would need to wrap it in another loop to grab all the select lists in your tabular form and do the same thing.
    Hope this helps.

  • Oidpasswd scripting question for oracladmin unlocking in oid

    Is this the correct forum?
    I want to know if there is a way to pass the password to oidpasswd without being prompted like I can with ldapbind. So when I need to unlock an account, I just run this with 1 line. I want to script it.
    I only found 1 page in the docs covering this and I don't see it.
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/idmanage.1012/b15883/syntax_oiddb001.htm
    for ldapbind I can do it all in one line as follows:
    ldapbind -h SERVER.SERVER.COM -p MYPORT -D "cn=orcladmin" -w MYPASSWORD
    I do not seea -w flag to pass to oidpasswd or an equivalent.
    So I get prompted as follows:
    oidpasswd connect=myserver unlock_su_acct=true
    OID DB user password:
    I don't want this to be interactive and I don't want a prompt.

    Hi
    Any answer for above?

  • Adobe Forms - FormCalc Scripting Question for Image Control

    Hi All,
    I have three images on my master page. I have a hidden text field. Based on a certain value within this text field I need to turn off Imagefield B and ImageField C and Leave ImageField A visible.
    I know this can be done via FormCalc scripting.
    My Questions:
    Which event shoudl I put the script in? I was thinking the textfield initialize event.
    What would be the EXACT syntax to turn turn image fields on or off?
    Please inform if know.
    Regards,
    Salil

    I solved it now, just changing the FormCalc expression.
    Instead of using the expression:
    this.value.image.href = xfa.resolveNode(this.value.image.href).value;
    I used this:
    this.value.image.href = xfa.record.Images.URL;
    The URL value of Image Field, in this case is:
    <b>$record.Images[*].URL</b>
    And, to finish, I needed to add a Text Field bounded to  <b>$record.Imagens[*].URL</b>, case else the image doesn't appear.
    That's it!

    Hi!
    We have 5 Exchange 2013 servers and when I’m trying to run a script that includes the cmd-let Get-MessageTrackinglog with StartDate = the first of the month and with EndDate = the end of the month I get the following error message after

    Hi Henado
    Check the time on your Exchange server(s) relative to the DCs and ensure they are in correct sync
    Use another account which is assigned the Organization Management permission and log to to the server run the command in shell and see the results
    Run
    Add-PSSnapin -Name Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
    Set-Adserversettings -ViewEntireForest $True and then run message tracking command and see the results
    If none of the above helps you may need to remove and re-install the WinRM and see the results
    Good Luck :)

  • IPad remote for ATV2 not listing TV programmes in order, plays wrong programme.

    Hi,
    I took delivery of an ATV2, and connected it via Ethernet to my home network. All works well with the supplied remote. However, if using the iPad remote app there is a problem.
    The iPad remote app lists a series TV programmes, but if you choose a programme another programme from the series plays instead. It appears that the remote app program order list does not mirror the iTunes program order list, so you choose, for example, the third program in the remote app list, but instead the third program in the iTunes list plays. I am completely unable to decide how the remote app is ordering the programs, and have been unable to make the remote app and iTunes agree on the order.
    Any ideas? It is hugely irritating.

    The new software uses the dynamic Freeview EPG. This means it picks up channel start and times of programmes even if running late, the quality of this is down the broadcaster and not BT. 5 doesn't do it very well at all. So there is no need of padding. Provided the broadcaster sets it up properly it will also pick up returning series.

  • Script for using layer name in Save for Web command

    I am using the Save for Web  command (Illustrator CS2) to export layers to CSS so that each layer is  saved as a different jpg.  The only issue I have is that I want the  layer name to be part of the file name, but layer name is not an option  when I look at the "Edit Output settings" dialog for saving files.  Is  there anyway I can do this? I do not have experience writing or working with scripts.
    For example. My fiel name is flower.ai.  I will have 20  different layers (each containing a different color of the same image)  and want the exported file to be flower-scarlet.jpg,  flower-cranberry,jpg, etc. Right now I am looking at renaming all the  files manually, but as I am creating 40 images per product on my website, this will be very time consuming.
    Thanks in advance
    Christine

    Btw.. to make it work for JPGs, change the PNG options to the following:
    var options = new ExportOptionsJPEG();
            options.antiAliasing = false;
            options.optimization = false;
            options.artBoardClipping = true;
            options.qualitySetting = 100; // value of 0 to 100, 60 is medium, 100 is perfect
            options.blurAmount = 0;
            options.verticalScale = 100;
            options.horizontalScale = 100;

  • Has the options for custom command buttons and scripts been removed from speedgrade?

    I run alot of framecyclerDI machines and am looking to upgrade them but i cant seem to find any method of adding command bars and buttons like you could in the iridas versions of speedgrade i also cant see a way of executing any external scripts which for me is a big issue as i have a hell of alot of pipeline scripts that the artist could execute.... any ideas or have i just missed somthing ?.......(would love it if they added a python sdk)

    Hi Dennis,
    Thanks for replying,
    Its actually more the other way getting speed grade to control outher things.
    i.e
    take the in and out points and send the track to a dcp creator
    rendering and sending anotated frames directly into my databases notes system
    taking the shotname and seeing if theres is a new version avaliable and pull it from the server to the local machine drive/cache
    Theres a load more..but you get the idea .. using the buttons to execute these commands in the interface made these functions editor friendly...
    I can get round some of the issues by reading from the autosave.ircp and setting up a PYQT GUI but that seems like a bit of a hack.
    I understand the reasons to keep the UI uniform (editors dont like it when you move buttons) but Im suprised these options got removed as intergrating software into pre-existing pipelines would seem to be a selling point for any software..
    Are there any plans in the roadmap for speedgrade that would help me in the future?

  • CLI commands for remote network

    I have a 800 router connected to our HQ via site-to-site vpn.
    I have commands i wish to run from the CLI but cannot get them to work.
    Pings fails from the CLI if using 'ping x.x.x.x' but are successful if using 'ping x.x.x.x source x.x.x.x'
    I am guessing all local CLI commands are trying to direct via the WAN as default, how can I resolve this for commands i wish to direct via the VPN.
    The command I really want to run is 'logging host x.x.x.x', with the syslog host being in HQ via the vpn tunnel

    IOS is always choosing interface which is closest to destination (i.e. consults routing table), when sourcing traffic from the box.

  • How to Use synchronous RFC calls during test run for remote accesses

    there is a Setting for the usage of RFC accesses from a tested system
    using eCATT.
    'X' - Use asynchronous RFC calls during test run for remote accesses
    ' ' - Use synchronous RFC calls during test run for remote accesses
    I developed an eCATT as following :
      SAPGUI ( SAPGUI_1 , Target_system_1 ).
      SAPGUI ( SAPGUI_2 , Target_system_2 ).
    My question is how to run the eCATT in a synchronous RFC calls
    PS: I do not want to change the Target_system to the same one in the
    above script of ecatt.Because I need to run it in 2 different Target
    systems sometime.
    for example, I give a Target_system_3 when run this eCATT
    I want the SAPGUI_1 and SAPGUI_2 run the Target_system_3 but not the
    Target_system_1 or Target_system_2 .
    Could you please tell me how to make it without the changes in script?

    This is the standard option value. Asynchronous are not the standard way and used only for very special purposes.

    The commands will be executed in sequence. So each call will be synchronously replayed against TS1 and TS2.
    What is you issue with this standard procedure?

  • Newbie Forte 4GL SQL and script question

    Kudos to all contributing to this forum. I appreciate all the info I have
    been receiving.
    I have a Forte 4GL question that someone may be able to help me with. I
    have created a simple window class with a number of fields and a button.
    When I press the button I want to take the values for each field and map
    them to the appropriate column name in an oracle table.
    The database and the table have already been created. I have verified in
    SQL that I can query the table and I have created the Database manager in
    the environment console. I have also created a DBSession service object
    with the approprate information in the Database Tab.
    I am unsure what the syntax should look like and where to put the SQL
    statement.
    Let's say the Window Class is called "Prototype" and the oracle table is
    called "Table".
    On the Prototype the field names are LastName, FirstName, and Address.
    The corresponding column names are LNAME, FNAME, ADDRESS.
    Can I put a sql insert statement in the Display method in the window class?
    self.Open();
    event loop
        when <CreateBtn>.Click do
                    self.Window.MessageDialog
                            (MessageText='You have clicked the Create button.
    Information will be committed and sent for processing',
                            MessageType=MT_INFO);
    ?<SQL insert statement>?
            when task.Shutdown do
                    exit;
    end event;
    self.Close();
    Lastly, how would one code in TOOL a command to call a shell script?
    The shell script will reside on a UNIX box (same box where the database
    resides) and create a flatfile of the data I just committed to the database
    and then transport it to a remote location. I realize
    there are a number of ways to tacke this. My initial thought is to have
    Forte call a shell script execute a sql command to create a flatfile and
    then handle the transport. The shell script would send a return value to
    Forte indicating the process is complete.
    Thanks for your help.

    to build on pressh's comment, most rc.d scripts have a start, stop, restart case statement form.  i'm not sure if that's required to get it working correctly (i've got a custom dropboxd rc.d script that's giving me headaches at boot time so i won't offer any more "expertise" ).
    now to my main point: it seems by the nature of your script, that that line would be better off in rc.local

  • Need key commands list - complete

    can someone do me a favor and email me the clipboard output of the comprehensive key command list? i'm not in a position to do this myself right at the moment. if someone chimes up, i'll reply with the email address to send it to. no formating or anything is necessary.
    also, for those that use key commands a lot and have some complex customization, what is your opinion on its reliability? my questioning is due to the possible utilization of a remote session of logic, receiving custom MIDI sysex commands to basically remote control functionality via MIDI. (i will be sending commands via TCP, but there will be a local server sending MIDI to the host machine) do key commands ever not execute? if you send a rapid sequence of key commands, do they execute in a predictable fashion? etc...

    Why do you need to use Sysex commands? They're so much more complicated to program and keep track of...
    In terms of reliability, sometimes I find that key commands "go bad". This is almost always a case of "key label" commands going bad and to fix the problem they need to be re-programmed as "key position". That's the only buggy behavior re key commands, aside from the bugs in the key command window itself. But that's another story. Here's the list:

  • App to run remote commands

    I am building an app to run remote commands. A server app with tcp/ip to listen for connections, validate user, then let user send commands(from a predefined list) that will fire the Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime() , the Process proc = rt.exec(cmd from cmd list)
    Any thoughts on this? Better method or practice?
    Can you get static of a proc whil running? I wnat each call to be a new proc, so I guess I could vector them after creation?

    strictly network internal ops. Run exe/bat/com on remote server. The commands will be contolled by the admin, so we will be limited. I see the server running as a Win2k service so the permission for it to execute commands could be limited to the user that is the 'log on as' for the service.(is this a correct assumption?)
    We have tried rcmd, windows scripting, etc...but they all require admin privs on the target machine and the admins won't allow this.
    My thought was to build a command object to extend into commands we are allowed to run. you use a gui to send encrypted command name to server, it decrpyts and runs the appropriate cmd object, firing runtime to execute a predefined cmd string held in the cmd object and permissions based on service 'log on As' user.
