there.I' am grateful for any information...
Sorry for mistakes if they are. I hope that all have
understood this what i wrote...
DW comes with a bevy of User Authentication Server Behaviors
for this kind

Repost: User-Defined Access Keys Script (PHP)
Hey guys -
I'm in need of a *PHP 5* script that will allow users to set
their own
access keys for predefined pages. I found this script and
neither like the
fact that it's in PHP 4 and the way the output looks (e.g.,
needing to check
the checkbox) -
http://juicystudio.com/article/user-defined-accesskeys.php
I've also run across this one which has the output format
that I want;
however, his only directions, which are only comments in his
script, are
extremely vague and unclear - for a _learner_ in PHP. Here is
his link -
http://cms.elfden.co.uk/2005/12/20/access-keys-revisted/#more-72
If someone has a solution for new learners and would be
willing to share it,
that would be wonderful. I'm hoping you can point me in a
good direction
with directions that are clear to understand. And just incase
you're
wondering, I did run across this one too - yet still, lacking
in directions
it's quite hard to follow and understand if you don't really
know a plethora
of PHP code -

Again - if someone can take the time and find me a good
indepth tutorial
explanation or something along those lines (perhaps you may
even have a
script you wish to share), I'd be very grateful.
Thanks to everyone who has been helping me along the way with
my PHP.

http://www.avenuedesigners.comI'm not too keen on creating my own PHP script, but perhaps
in the
near-future you should write up a PHP5 solution...
Thanks though, Thierry.

Print without dialog box, scripting php
I have build a php based application that has a printing requirement.
I would like the user to be able to print a simple html file to a network printer without seeing a dialog box.
the JS window.print() shows the user a dialog box. I would prefer the user bypass this dialog and just print some output generated by a php script.
this is probably the wrong forum to post this, but i didn't see much activity elsewhere and i figureds some type of unix command line print function might be the solution.
any thoughts?You will have to use a tool like swfstudio
or zinc to achieve this.
Flash itself can`t (and shouldn`t) override the systemwide settings . -
Is it possible to execute a ASP/CGI/PHP script thru sockets?
hi,
i was wondering whether it is possible in Java to pass data and execute ASP/CGI/PHP script on demand thru sockets (suppose a port has been specified by both sides) and how? i know this is possible thru the urlConnection, but how about sockets? these scripts could be stored in specific directories on the server.
thanks!!!hi,
i was wondering whether it is possible in Java to pass
data and execute ASP/CGI/PHP script on demand Yes, completely it's possible!
If you need to access ASP/CGI/PHP/Servlet/JSP thru' Java program, you can refer:
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/qow/index.jsp
[after a week: http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/qow/archive/index.html
and look for 'Can I send an HTTP request to a servlet from a normal class without having to use a browser to send the HTTP requests?']
-and that's the QOW [Question Of the Week]!
thru sockets (suppose a port has been specified by both
sides) and how? When you say, a port has been specified on both sides,
then it becomes, a NET/Socket programming and you
need to use the 'net' package for the same.
i know this is possible thru the urlConnection, 'possible' means, it's assumed that u're invoking the 'script' thru' a web-server!
And u still use 'http://...' protocol to achieve the same; and u're NOT
directly accessing the script file as "file:\\network-host\root\files\abc.jsp"
but how about sockets? these scripts
could be stored in specific directories on the
server.It's not at all possible to 'invoke' those 'scripts' directly, by
using sockets; If you know that they're existing in one
particular directory of a network system, all you can do is
you can read the file content thru' socket, but you can't
make it become 'alive' and it would not dance for u!
Because, if there is a 'script' [PHP/ASP/CGI/JSP] that is
meant for dancing, then the stage for dancing is provided
by the web-server environment which starts the appropriate
server-side process that can understand and interpret the
given script! And all we can do is asking the web-server
to pull the 'script' to the stage and dance for you! But,
the 'asking' the webserver can be done thru' browser or
a URLConnection! If what you want to do would have been
possible, then, just with FTP we could have achieved the same!
Easy Go Jolly Java!

/homWhich one is it supposed to be? I have both versions installed side-by-side in /usr/lib, the prefix was /usr. Also, I was thinking about openssl installing header files into /usr/include. Aren't they needed to compile this php extension? openssl098 basically installs just the library:
$ pacaur -Ql openssl098
openssl098 /usr/
openssl098 /usr/bin/
openssl098 /usr/bin/openssl098
openssl098 /usr/lib/
openssl098 /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8
openssl098 /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8
openssl098 /usr/share/
openssl098 /usr/share/licenses/
openssl098 /usr/share/licenses/openssl098
Maybe I should go with compiling openssl from sources after all...

Does it matter? I'm going to use it for development. -
Cannot run PHP in apache server.
I am havnig a hard time seting up PHP development enviornment. I have followed instructions from this page : Apache HTTP Server
http://localhost works, but cannot display .php pages.
I have installed php and php-apache from the official repositories.
Placed the LoadModule list after LoadModule dir_module modules/mod_dir.so:
LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so
Placed this at the end of the Include list:
Include conf/extra/php5_module.conf
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('
output of: /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
# In particular, see
# <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
# will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
# Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
# same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
# least PidFile.
ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
# Mutex default:/run/httpd
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.

Connecting a web script with JAVA
Hi
I am Trying to connect a php script from a java program. But I don't wan to implement a socket capability in the PHP script. My Main aim is to just measure how long it takes for the Entire PHP script to run. so my code might just look like this
var1 = System.currentTimeMillis();
connect the webserver script
var2 = System.currentTimeMillis();
response_time = var2 - var1;
Is there any way i can recognise that my script(PHP) has completed executing? so that I can goto the step var2 = ..
Basically I just want the code for "connect the webserver script". :)
cheers
ashayOpen the URL directly back to the server with;-
String host = getCodeBase().getHost().toString();
try {
URL url = new URL("http://"+host+"/cgi-bin/myStuff.php");
// then
URLConnection conn = url.openConnection();
conn.setDoOutput(true);
OutputStreamWriter wr = new OutputStreamWriter(conn.getOutputStream());
wr.write("more stuff n nonsense");
wr.flush();
wr.close();You don't need to open a socket + u can use printWriter dataOutputStream or whatever works best for you -
How to include Php Files in SrcView and Release Build
Dumb question
For a long time I have been manually copying any changes to my php files from the debug to the release folder manually. I know they can be linked so they do so on compile (and I am hoping also included in srcview) but never took the time to figure out what the proceedure is.
About time I guess Suggestions?What I have been doing is creating a new folder in your src maybe like "scripts" or something. Then you can create a .php file in there and when you double click to open it should open your default .php editor. Now when you do a release build it will include the folder "scripts" in your bin-release.
Then do something like
<s:HTTPService id="my_http_service" url="./scripts/script.php" result="my_http_service_resultHandler(event)" resultFormat="e4x">
The only problem I have run into is when testing locally you will need to have a copy on a server, unless you have apache running locally.
Hope this helps! -
PHP installed with Apache, php pages showing nothing [SOLVED]
I've followed a couple of guides to install a LAMP stack on my Arch install, and I seem to have done everything correctly (no errors anyway...), but I still can't see anything on my basic phpinfo page.
Viewing source shows nothing.
Is there anything commonly missed out I should be looking for, in order to get it showing properly?
If there's any more specific information I can give, please let me know. I'm new to these forums and realise I'm lacking detail, but any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

Passing form field values, to an external script, in a URL
We have a Dynamic, Reader Extended, Livecyce form from which we need to pass two user selected values to an external script. The values need to be passed via a URL, and cannot be static entries, but need to change based on user input.
I have tried variations on the following example, without success.
form1.page1.button::click - (JavaScript, client)
var userselected1;
userselected1 = form1.page1.field1.rawValue;
var userselected2;
userselected2 = form1.page1.field2.rawValue;
xfa.host.gotoURL("http://ourdomain.com/script.php?selected1=userselected1&selected2=userselected2");
Thanks,
RonGot it!! There is probably a more elegant method for achieving this, but the script below works for us. A new page opens in a browser, and displays information related to the variables passed to the script.
form1.page1.button::click - (JavaScript, client)
newURL1 = 'http://ourdomain.com.com/script.php?selected1=';
newURL2 = userselected1;
newURL3 = "&selected2=";
newURL4 = userselected2;
myNewURL = newURL1+newURL2+newURL3+newURL4;
app.launchURL(myNewURL, true);
Hope this helps someone else!! -
Safari produces 404 with login & redirection script, Firefox, IE work fine
Hi!
I'm having a bit of trouble with a login script and I was wondering if there were any particular safari bugs I should be aware of?
The script is a php script that takes login details, redirects the user to an appropriate site based on the login details and logs them into that site automatically... In firefox and IE it works without issue... in safari I get a 404 page not found error...
The weirdest part is that the script is at:
www.site.com/script.php
the 404 not found error appears with:
www.site.com in the url bar, and if you press refresh the 404 error remains, even though the site can be found... it's really weird...
Any thoughts would be much appreciated...Okay... I've solved it!
Safari has a little bug/feature: if there is no action specified in a form(meaning the page that will receive the data is the same as the page containing the form) Safari misinterprets it and relocates to... null. I just hardcoded the target in the form and it... worked. -
Quick question about PHP sessions and Air app
Could someone clear this up for me?
My air app makes html requests to php scripts, php login, search etc. I've been advised to use sessions in the php scripts to ensure each request to a script is done by a logged in user.
So is the session identifier stored automatically by air somewhere, similar to a cookie in a browser?4.4.1 is indeed the version of php in 10.4.6, but it's also the version of php that's running on my 10.3.9 server. You can execute php -v on your server to see which version you've got, but it seems unlikely that it's a version other than 4.4.1 if you haven't updated it yourself. Are there security updates you haven't applied?

Is there an easy way to run an outside script(PHP?) from AS3? I want to update my file using PHP and I DO NOT want a window to pop up with the script. I have tried using:
navigateToURL (url,'_self');
And several other ways, but most don't work or they open a new window? Any other suggestions?
Alex LYou want to look into using the URLLoader class to have an external file process information into your AS3 file. Try searching Google using terms like "AS3 URLLoader PHP tutorial"

Highscore list using Flash and PHP
Hi,
I want to make a highscorelist using AS3 and PHP(MySQL).
I cant find a good tutorial on internet how to make something like that but I got this so far:
import fl.controls.TextInput;
import fl.controls.TextArea;
var variables:URLVariables = new URLVariables();
variables.name = "Wil";
variables.final = 2000;
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest();
////insert in the location of the php script ////////////////
request.url = "http://www.justenter.nl/script.php";
request.data = variables;
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
loader.load(request); //sends the request
//when the request is done loading, it goes to the completeWriting function
loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeWriting);
function completeWriting(event:Event):void {
var writingCompleted:TextField = new TextField;
writingCompleted.autoSize = "center";
writingCompleted.x =200;
writingCompleted.y= 200;
writingCompleted.text = event.target.data;
addChild(writingCompleted);
He is sending the score and name to the database but he is doing that when i press ctrl-enter. He is sending the data I have given in:
variables.name = "Wil";
variables.final = 2000;
I want a input textfield and a button. And When I fill in my name in the input textfield he send it to the database when I press the button.
Is there someone that can help me out?
