Scroll bar error in list box

Hello all,
I work for a company using BI 7.0.
We provide reports in Bex Web 7.0 to our users. They requested us for a problem in list box of selection (or filter).
for example the user wants to filter on a characteristic. This characteristic has multiple possible values.
He chooses a value on the first page of the list box. then he wants to select an other value and uses the scroll bar. So he clicks in the gap of the scroll bar in order to go to the next page of values. It happens correctly but we figured out that doing so the new page wasn't exactly the exact next values available.
Indeed for example the first page displays 10 values (from 1 to 10) so by clicking in the gap we should go to the 10 next values 11 to 20 but it is not what is happening because the displayed values are 13 to 22, so the values 11 and 12 were passed by the scroll bar and we need to do singles click on the scroll bar to display values 11 and 12.
Does someone have an answer for this issue ?

I tried to apply the modification but there was no fix to my problem.

But i need both (Horizontal & Vertical) the scroll bars and depending on the data length either or both should be visible, without changing the data visiblity or text rotation.

Adding scroll bar to a text box

Is there a way to add a scroll bar to a text box? I am designing a website using ID (in the web view) which I am then giving to a web person to implement. I have one page that is longer than the others, where I would like to be able to scroll the text. I would really appreciate a step by step instruction on how to add a scroll bar to this text box.

The point is that exporting to Flash makes creating the webpage in ID seamless. I am not familiar with a
way to import an ID file into a Dreamweaver HTML. ID relies on pages that get converted to
frames on the Flash timeline which makes switching between pages, if you know enough ActionScript, a breeze.

Scroll bars onto a text box

Hello,
I've got a dynamic text box in my flash file that reads a txt
file in a directory for information. I'd like for it to have scroll
bars like the ones in the component scrollpane.
In the help file, it says that the scrollpane can be added to
a text box, but when I click on it further for more information it
only says it can hold swfs, jpgs etc...
is it possible to make those flashmx default scroll bars onto
a text box?
I'm using Flash MX 2004.

You can do that but you would have to install the MX
componentes into MX2004 first. They used to be availabele at
Macromedia for downlaod, I guess they are somewher to be found at
Flash donloads at adobe still now.

Horizontal scroll bar in AWT List

I need to shrink the width of my list by putting a horizontal scroll bar. Does anyone know how to add one onto my list component

Horizontal scroll bar muti select list

I have a multi select list the size of which is restricted doe to other items on the page but some of the values in the lov are wider that the display area, is it possible to get a scroll bar at the bottom so users can scroll alaong and see the few values that are too big.

How do I add the scroll bar to Library and other list views in iTunes?
It is a pain having to use the scroll wheel when I want to quickly scroll to near the bottom of the list.

Dropdownbox scroll bar closes the dialog box

All,
I have a dialog box and a matrix layout with some controls inside of it.
I have set autoClose = true in the dialog box so that if I click away I would close it
my matrix layout has a dropdownbox. if I click on the scroll bar, then it closes my dialog box. if I use the mouse wheel, it stays open. is this a bug or is there a work around to this? this happens every time I click on the vertical scroll bar
Similarly, if I have a date picker and I click on the datepicker to open the calendar, then the dialog closes. this event only closes the dialog the first time. if I open the dialog and click on the date picker then it works fine.

Hi Sergio,
It could be that the the Dialog somehow interprets the click event to happen outside the Dialog and thus closes it. Try to bind event listener to controls in the Dialog and then in that event handler call evt.stopImmediatePropagation() and evt.preventDefault(). Example:

event.stopImmediatePropagation();
event.preventDefault();

I think I could reproduce your problem with DatePicker in Firefox but not in Chrome. With Dropdown I couldn't reproduce it. Here's a jsbin explaining it:

Scroll Bar Error!

My younger sister logged onto Facebook, and now I can't get off! Facebook's pages are too wide for Firefox, and usually there's a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen, along with the vertical one on the right of the screen. The horizontal one is gone! I cannot access the 'log off' button on Facebook, or anything further right of the page, for that matter.
Firefox being my choice above Safari, and (UGH!) Explorer, this is QUITE frustrating, to say the least.

The horizontal scroll bar is present on some sites, eg on mozilla.com, but, although I've tried the Reset option repeatedly, on Facebook it doesn't appear even when I resize the window. I'm using 5.01. This may be a fault with Facebook (I'm on Win7)

There is a problem with the scroll bar in Firefox 3.6.20 when displaying eBay 'My Messages'
There are 26 message headers per page (in both IE 9 and Firefox 3.6.20).
Both browsers require scrolling to view the full 26 headers per page.
IE allows 3 presses of the touchpad on the space under the scroll button. All 26 headers per page are correctly displayed.
Firefox only allows 2 touchpad presses, giving the impression that the bottom of the page of headers has been reached. The impression is given that all 26 headers have been displayed, but only 15 have been seen.
To see all 26 it is necessary to use the 'down arrow' on the keypad.
Firefox hides 11 message headers when the page is scrolled using the side scroll bar.
I think this is a bug.
I do not want to use IE 9 or Firefox 4.0

I've ALSO learned to reboot after an uninstall then manually delete any residue in said uninstalled program. I've also gone as far as REGISTER searching for program residue and deleting that WITH reboot of coarse to be sure nothing has gone wrong. _ _ _ NEXT suggestion? I suggest FireFox fix there software. _ _ _ BY-THE-WAY,... I have also gone through my mouses buttton choices for my #5 button. Everything works but the "Auto-Scroll". One tab down/up/right/left works, one page down/up/left/right works. _ _ _ I used recently tried and successfully used the Auto-Scroll in Netscape, Opera, My Browser, Ace Browser, Chrome, and 2 others that escape my memory. _ _ _ PLEASE READ and understand this. >>> It's FireFox's software that is stopping this, not my mouse or PC.

How do i add a Scroll Bar to a JList Component using absolute positioning?

I've got a applet whose content pane is set to null. I've create a jlist component on this applet and using absolute positioning set the bounds at
ListBox1.setBounds(380,10, 500, 500);.
My problem is creating add a scroll bar to the list box.
JScrollPane scrollPane = new JScrollPane(ListBox1);
C.add(scrollPane);
The above code is what i use and when i run this applet i don't see the list box at all. How do i add a scrollbar to this list box or JList component. Please help.

You need to setBounds() on the JScrollPane, not the JList.
The JScrollPane is the component that is being added to the panel.

Scroll Bars Missing In New Item Dialog Box When Accessing Other Site Collection

I have run into a problem I am hoping someone can quickly inform me of what I am doing wrong. I am creating 2 hyperlinks on a page that will create new items in one of 2 separate lists (1 on each site collection). I tried using the same code in my CEWP for
each and encountered a funky issue, whenever I access a different site collection with the below code the dialog box says DIALOG for the title and there are no vertical scroll bars. Does anyone know how to tweak the below code (or improve it) to bring back
the scroll bars for the dialog box?

Problems with scroll bars in list view

Hello,
I am using Xcelsius 2008 (Build Number 12,2,166). I am still having trouble with scroll bars on my list view control. Other list views in my dashboard seem to be ok. It seems that this list view is not ignoring the blank cells in my excel file. I have gone through many things to correct this problem. I have added a new list view, I have copied other list views that work correctly but still no success. It seems that the "Ignore Blank Cells" property is not working correctly. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Help with a vertical scroll bar issue with a List component

hi. i have a basic <s:list> that uses an XMLListCollection as it's data provider and a very basic itemrenderer. when a row in the list is clicked a function gets the list.selectedIndex then populates some text fields with more xml data. that all works fine.. the problem i have is that the vertical scroll bar on the list seems to be "clickable" - just like a row in the list. the scroll bar scrolls normally but when it's clicked the selectedIndex becomes -1 which is not helpful b/c the value -1 is passed to the XMLListCollection.

thanks but still problematic...surely the <s:List> component shouldn't return a value when the scrollbar thumb is clicked? i created a very basic list (see below) and made the list dimensions short enough so that there is a vertical scrollbar and found that when the scrollbar thumb is clicked the trace(event.currentTarget.selectedIndex) returns a number. that's annoying b/c i just want a selectedIndex value for a row that is clicked not the scrollbar.
any ideas to get around? cheers
