Scroll bar options in Ubuntu -- need arrow scrolling not block scrolling -- how??
How do I modify the firefox scroll bar -- need the arrows at top and bottom. The block scrolling doesn't work well for certain sites.
I think Firefox relies on the settings in Windows' Mouse control panel, but maybe someone else is aware of some "secret" settings.
You might want to consider using the mouse "wheel" for scrolling the page instead of the scroll bar. Saves a lot of horizontal hand movement.
Note that if you happen to be holding the Ctrl key when you roll the wheel, the page display will zoom. You can use Ctrl+0 (that's zero) to reset it if that happens.

Check the setting in System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > mouse options.. button > check scrolling.
If you have an older mouse with the trackball, it might just need cleaning. Turn the mouse over and rub the trackball vigorously on paper or microfiber cloth.

Down scroll arrow does not work in Firefox or Safari.
When in Firefox or Safari, the down scroll arrow does not work (I have arrows set to top and bottom, both at bottom makes no difference). Striking above or below the scroll bar works as expected (set to one page, up or down). The up scroll arrow works as expected. Both arrows work fine in all other applications (word, excel, powerpoint, preview, etc.). Grabbing the scroll bar and moving it up and down works fine also.
Only failure is the down scroll arrow when in Firefox or Safari.Thanks for your help, but in setting up another account, I was looking at the settings for Firefox on the MacBook Pro (my wife's computer). I saw that for some reason she had turned off (probably accidentally) the status bar. Some reason turning it off merges the up scroll arrow and the window expansion corner, somehow turning off the scroll bar. Sounds stupid, but by turning it on I fixed the problem she had.

My screen refuses to rotate (the home screen). I already double clicked home button and scrolled over, the circle arrow does NOT have the lock inside it. I went thru all the settings and can find nothing to try and fix this. Do I need to send the phone back? Is it broken? I just got it yesterday. It has not been damaged in any way. Please help.

The space bar option disappears in the Incoming Server set up. I cannot type in IMAP: Port because I have no spacer options.

Photos in iPhoto album are only a hash-marked outline the image only shows when scrolling how can I see the image and open the photo?
Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Next time you accidentally use 3 fingers it will zoom again. Unless you need the feature you're better to turn it off

When using iTunes on my iMac, I use my Delete key to delete a song and I get a pop-up. This is OK, except the Keep File button is defaulted and I cannot tab or arrow to the "Move to Trash" (or Cancel) button, and so I need to use my mouse. How can I do this only with keyboard?
Huh.. Interesting. I went back to check these proceedures and found there is a difference between using the return key or the space bar as the action command.
tabbing the blue ring moves the selection and then spacebar takes that action. The return key takes action of only the blue collored button.

Here for checking logic is :

Now I want to skip this logic if - In VA02 application Delete sales order option from menu is selected.
Please give me suggestion.

Smart View menu bar option not showing in Word

Recently had Smart View (11.1.2) installed on my PC. I can see the Smart View menu bar option in all office products except Word (2003). Any suggestions as to how to get this to show?

If it's not shown, you will need to manually add the add-in referencing the HsAddin.dll from the Smartview\bin directory. -
G'day. I am using iMovie 11 and need to clear disk space. How can I do that using an external drive, leaving me the option to go back and make changes or access old events or projects from that external drive?
The slightly bigger question is whether you want to move all movie content to the external drive (essentially meaning that drive will always need to be attached when you're working with your videos), or whether you just want to archive older videos off to the external drive.
If you want to move all videos, then just move the 'Movies' folder in your home directory to the external drive, then create an alias of the external 'Movies' back in to your home directory. Now the 'Movies' icon in your home directory will point to the external drive and everything will just work (as long as the external drive is attached when you launch iMovie)
If you want to archive older movies then each Movie should have its own subdirectory within your Movies folder. These can easily be moved off to the external drive, and moved back should you ever need to work on those movies again.
