Scroll bar works only occasionally

My scroll bar is very undependable. Sometimes it works (moves), but more often it doesn't. I can usually get it to move after enough time and effort have been expended, but that's not the way it's supposed to work. I might add that I am frequently seeing the little "ball of death". One more thing: I have Smart Scroll installed, and it's not working properly either. It did, but not now.

hi oa gurus,
i had implemented table scroll bars using oarawtextbean , there is no problem in vertical and horizontal scroll bar working its working fine. but the requirement is i need to scroll only the table rows with table columns fixed. so , how to achieve the table scroll for only table datas neglecting table headers.
the code for vertical and horizontal bars scroll is like this,
OARawTextBean ors = (OARawTextBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("raw1");
ors.setText(div id=tabledivid style=height:500px;width:100%; overflow:auto>);

where raw1 and raw2 are rawtextbean created above and below of the table . but i dont know hoow to apply this only for table rows neglecting table columns , can anybody give any ideas.

I have a similar task to do... Only to apply scrollbar at the table level.
I tried using the above mentioned but I am facing Null Pointer Exception..
Please explain about raw1 and raw2

Scroll bar on editor not working

I recently upgraded to phtoshop elments 11.0 to 13.0
In the editor mode I cannot use the scroll bar. The scroll bar works fine in the orgnizaer mode. I have tried three different mouses and there is no difference.

I am using Windows 7 Professional
In the organizer portion the scroll bar moves. When I put my mouse or
arrow on the scroll bar and drag it then of course I move through the different
rows of folders or rows of pictures once in the photo bin.
It was doing it with Photoshop Elements 11.0 and I thought 13.0 might fix
the problem and the scroll bar did move on the first try but not since then.
When I try and load the photo bin and I am choosing the right folder to
load the scroll bar just does not move. I can select the right folder by
using my up and down arrow or the page up and down and then click on the right
folder and then it loads.
Once I get the right folder of pictures loaded and once I finish the first
row of pictures I cannot use my mouse and arrow to drag the scroll bar
down to get to the next row of pictures. I can place my arrow on my mouse
below the scroll bar and got to the next row but I usually get only half the
picture and sometimes only 1/4 of it but I can usually get it loaded up and
edit the pictures and move on the next picture but it is very slow and
frustrating.
Any help would be appreciated.
I protested to an adobe supervisor and I got an e-mail and somebody is
supposed to call me tomorrow so hopefully then can log on to my computer and
see what I am talking about.
Sound like something got corruped in the editor mode only. I tried 3
different mouses and even the computer mouse and no difference.

i have a form with vertical scroll bar on it..in browsing to some other records using the mouse it does not sroll up or down, yet if I use the down key or up-key (keyboard) it works. What is the possible way to make the vertical scroll bar works. your immediate response will be highly appreciated.

In Forms 6.0 using Frames the toolbar properties is in the frame properties.
In Forms 4.5 or 6.0 without frames the toolbar's properties is in the data blocks properties.
The scroll bar canvas must be in the same canvas that the data block.

Scroll Bars Not Working Properly with Multiple Displays

Do the following on a laptop that supports having the desktop spread across multiple monitors. Display 1 is the laptop screen, Display 2 is an external monitor.
Open a SQL*Developer window in Display 2.
Open a SQL Worksheet.
Run a query that produces more rows than will fit in the results window, e.g. "select * from user_objects".
Click, hold, and slide the vertical scroll bar handle downward in the results tab.
The rows do not scroll. Garbled characters appear in the last row.
Move the window to Display 1. The scroll bar works properly. Rows scroll up and down and no garbled characters appear.
Note that the horizontal scroll bar produces garbled characters as well.
(SQL*Developer 1.2.1 32.13; Win XP Pro, Oracle XE)

These sort of issues can often be fixed by some combination of
- getting the latest device drive for your graphics card
- using java 6
- specifying -J-Dsun.java2d.ddoffscreen=false as a command line argument for sqldeveloper.
- specifying -J-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true as a command line argument for sqldeveloper.
You can also add vm options to you sqldeveloper.conf file using the "AddVMOptions -D..." directive

Change window mode is window or none.in the HTML page

Scroll Bars in iTunes broken

Hi guys
ok, strange one this. The Scroll bars on the side of the window in itunes, for the playlists, the fields for selecting artists, genre and album have all disappeared. They've just been replaced with White. It still plays music and allows scrolling with the mouse ball, but can't scroll using the point and click method.
Have restored iTunes from time machine, re-downloaded iTunes, and even copied my iTunes library back from my MacBook to my MacPro, as its working fine on my Macbook
very strange.
Can anyone help? I'm now stump!

Hidden scroll bars that only appear when you mouse over them are the default in Lion. However, you can easily change back to normal scroll bars if you prefer. Go to System Preferences > General and uncheck and check the button to always show scroll bars.

My scroll bar is now missing on some of my pages that I need to scroll through and it won't let me use my mouse to scroll either, how can I get this back?

When I am logged into the tool section of our website where I process orders or make edits to products on our website, the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen is missing. So I am unable to view orders or products that go down further than what I can view immediately on my screen. The scroll bar is only missing on pages with lists of items it is not missing if I click into an individual order. I really need this back so I can work on the website.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

Scroll bar creation

I am attempting to create a scroll bar for my text and am following the tutorial provided by Adobe.
Problem: I am unable to select parts of the scroll bar (i.e. up arrow, bar, thumb) to convert their behaviour. I have followed the tutorial to the letter, but when it comes time to select each part of the scroll bar I only can select the entire scroll bar...not any one part.

I've come to the same conclusion, it's the software. I had the same results when I ran the project in IE. It worked although the scroll bar was shorter than I had set it, but it worked. When I tried to go back and reset the length, it stopped working. I have shortened my text and reduced the font to make it fit without the scroll bar.
There are a number of other odd things that happen. After spending hours and hours on it, essentially testing the software, it's easy to come the conclusion of 'wonky' software. I love the idea of Flash Catalyst and someday the bugs will be smoothed out, but until then...

Vertical Scroll Bar in module pool

Hi,
I am doing the module pool program in ECC 6.0 when i have more than 10 records in my internal table the tablecontrol wizard is showing only 5 records which are visible. when i hit the vertical scroll bar
all the records are getting refershed and unable to get single record.
Please suggest me how to get all 10 records and how the vertical scroll bar works properly

Scroll bars don't appear on Droid or IPad...

So I have a div on my webpage that has the Positioning -> Overflow set to Auto so that a scroll bar appears when the text overflows...the scroll bars work fine in Mozilla and IE, but when the site is viewed on a Droid or IPad, the scroll bars to not appear and the content in the div is simply cut off. Has anyone dealt with or seen this issue before? And are there any fixes? Thanks for any help in advance!
Also, is there a way to preview droid and ipad sites in Dreamweaver? Is there a download or add-on that will make those an option in Device Central??

First as I have previously said you never use floats on a page for mobiles.
The scroll bar you mention does not appear on mobile devices because if it did it would be totally unusable for almost everyone, (this is common on all mobile browsers).
Designing for mobiles requires a completely different approach than designing for a standard desktop browser, as one must remember that such things as the scroll-bar you mention would not have the required 'area' to be used by touch-screens or any way of getting focus in order to be used by a d-pad.
Even though media-queries are not recognized by older none smart-phone devices, their use would enable you to 'style' your content in order for viewing and usability on mobiles. Another example is that your main menu, (and entire home page) is virtually unusable without using zoom, (something many will not do) even on the Opera mobile browser, (the most popular browser in use for mobiles).
People use mobile devices 'on-the-move' even when browsing web sites, this means that in general only one hand is used, and the time taken to navigate is much more important than on a desktop, (were the user can use a mouse) thus the reluctance to use the zoom facility.

Scroll bar problems

I have several text boxes that pull text from external text files. I drag and instance of the UIScrollBar into the text box and it snaps to the right side just fine. When I test the movie in Flash, the scroll bars work fine. When I test off the server with Firefox, you can see the scroll bar but you cannot use it. It looks similar to a scroll bar in a text box without enough text to scroll, but I have plenty. When I use IE, the first time you visit a page it is the same way. If you click on another page, then navigate back the scroll bar will work. Like I said, I drug out an instance and named them. I've looked through several books but can't find any answers. Thoughts?

You probably need to use the update() method of the UIScrollbar after the text is assigned to the textfield. In some cases you can get away with it when testing locally, but in the case where the data file can take an amount of time to load, I've found it necessary to refresh the scrollbar using that method.

Overflow container Scroll bars problem

Trying to add scroll bar for group body in a fragment. We put Overflow container for the groupbody within the page fragment. But no scroll bars are appearing. Scroll bar comes only if it is in a view.

Scroll bar annoying box

hey guys, is there a way to get rid of the scroll bar box? I want to know if the scroll bar is only visible when I am scrolling. The white part is what I am talking about, is there a way to get rid of it and only have the scroll bar it self?

dominic23, the white bar is still visible with the black scroll. I tried all three and they haven't changed. As you can see, the white bar where the scroll are doesn't match websites I am on.

Scroll bar has lost zoom function

I'm using LP 9.1.7
Since I upgraded to Mountain Lion, my scroll bar zoom function has vanished.
It's there in Waveburner.
I can't find any preferences that can help me.
Any help greatly appreciated -- I use tyhis function all the time and I'm lost without it!
