My requirement, is to use dynamic drop down in dynamic table. I am using webdynpro abap.
i populated the value in drop down.
Its working fine but the problem is how to fill the default value in drop down. because i want to bind the default value which im getting specify value from the table.because each row
im getting different values, like first row
CAR
, that CAR want to fill as a default value in drop down and second row as
BIKE
that BIKE want to fill as default value in drop down ( example drop down contain car , bike , cycle).
In adobe form i binded like this
$record.DATANODE.DATA[*].DNA_RATING
i dont know whether this one is correct or wrong .
im getting default value as empty.
please give me some solution how to do this.its very urgent

while executing i'm getting this error ": WebDynpro Exception: ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: No output was generated while rendering: Stream for: PDFOut.(200,101). " . can u please tell me how to bind value for drop down.
I created sample table in same form and i binded same value to table, that time its executing fine.
can u please tell me solution for this Scenario.

Filtering Drop-down Values Adobe Interactive Form

Hi,
I am working on adobe interactive form, in which I have a normal drop-down. Now the requirement is, depending on the value of another field (country) , I need to display only the states pertaining to the country being displayed. In my drop-down I get a list of all states irrespective of the country.
I have created an Interactive Adobe form using WebDynpro ABAP. I have populated the view context in my business logic and I am using this context to populate my drop-down. I have a root node named as NODE_ROOT which is of cardinality 1:1 and a child node named as NODE_STATE of cardinality 0:n with State, State_Desc and CountryID as its attributes.
In my drop-down list I have mapped the Item to $record.NODE_STATE.DATA[*], Item_text to the attribute State and Item_Value to the Attribute State_Desc. I have also enabled the "Show Dynamic Binding" option from Tools->Options->Data Binding.
The Drop-down is working fine. I would like to filter these values based on country by making use of CountryID in my form. Is it possible through scripting? If so, how do I do it?
Sample code would be of great help.

It is possible in WAS 640 to do a table with subtotals using Adobe Designer 6.0?
Something as:

Even with upgrade I was still having problem, so what I did was...
I created new new interactive form.
I deleted old interactive form from the layout and recreated one.
When I went to adobe design form, I just imported old form (it automatically retained all settings)
and saved it and activiated it... and It worked.
It wasn't the best solution, but since I only had one interactive form, it didn't take that long to do it (probably total of 10 minutes.)

Drop down in dynamic table in the Adobe Interactive Form (Web dynpro ABAP)

Hi All,
I have scenario use drop down in dynamic table in the adobe interactive form (Using the button the dynamic table row will be increasing and decreasing).
Assume I Add five rows dynamically in the dynamic table. The Last column contains Drop down.
I have button in the adobe form.
Button Name = u201CSAVEu201D
Button type    = SAP Submit button (Native type u2013 I am Using ZCI).
While clicking save button, I need to store the dynamic table datau2019s to back end system. I can able to store the data to back end system. After form data getting saved those particular values need to display in the adobe form.
Here I am facing a problem.
I cannot able to view as a default value in the drop down, which I have selected some values after save operation I am not getting any values in the drop down as a default.
Example:
The dynamic table contains 5 rows (Each and every row Drop down contains one to ten values).
1)     I have selected second value in the Drop down (ROW1)
2)     I have selected fourth value in the Drop down (ROW2)
3)     I have selected fifth value in the Drop down (ROW3)
4)     I have selected seventh value in the Drop down (ROW4)
5)     I have selected third value in the Drop down (ROW5)
I press the save button that particular Drop down value gets saved in back end system and that particular values want display in the Drop down as a default value.
How to resolve this problem.

I have created the New node for dropdown. also i have one node already for table.
The new node i bind to dropdown, the table same for table.

Adobe Interactive Forms displaying returned tables

can anyone help me display returned tables in adobe
interactive forms
i have an 2 adobe interactive forms, one for input
the other for output on 2 different views
the input form takes a few parameters, calls the
back end RFC and the
output form displays okay, but i just get the last
row from the table
i've tried binding 1 of the output table parameters to a drop down box and subform,the drop down box displays
one of the return parameters but will not drop down
whenever i include a subform i get a java error on
the output form with no display
i know there are several rows returned from testing the rfc inside abap workbench

To display table in Adobe forms.
Follow these steps :
1. Insert one sub furm.
2. make its type to flow content and flow direction to Table in object property.
3. Insert another subform in above sub form and makes its type to flow content and flow direction to Table row.
4.In binding tab for this subform check the checkbox for "Repeat subform for each Data Item" and in min count you can specify at a time how much rows you want to display.
5. Now place your UI Elements for Data view into this sub form.
6. format these ui elements as you required.
Run application now u can see multiple rows in adobe forms, if you have multiple elements in your table node.
Let me know the status.

How to binnding the data in the adobe interactive forms for making a table?

Function:
Through the sharing context node between adobe interactive form and a WDA for ABAP, display the data of the sflight_node in the ADOBE.
version:
Acrobat Reader 8.1.0
currently both of the SAP-ABA and SAP-BASIS SP level: 9
ADS : Successful.
The following is my action:
1.     Create a interface (Z_SFLIGHT_INTF) with a attribute node (SFLIGHT_NODE) that type is "sflight" using the transaction code "sfp"
2.     Create a form (Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) using the transaction code "sfp" with the interface Z_SFLIGHT_INTF.
3.     Trag the sflight_node in the Z_SFLIGHT_INTF to the form( Z_SFLIGHT_FORM).
4.     Open the layout tab in the form(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM), and create a table(table1). Click the table created just now, select the binding tab in the object tab, and in the Default Binding, select the SFLIGHT_NODE under the Z_SFLIGHT_FORM.
Problem 1:
Do you tell me whether is right for binding the context SFLIGHT_NODE using this way? If bind 3 context attributes in the sflight, how can I do it?
5.     Create a WDA for abap (ZZ_02_SFLIGHT), and create a view(MAINVIEW) using transaction code "se80" in the sap-gui with adobe interactive form. Set the templatesource(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) in the adobe interactive form properties and saved, and then, datasource is "MAINVIEW_Z_SFLIGHT_FORM" automatically.
6.     But I only found the attribute SFLIGHT_NODE under the context node(Z_SFLIGHT_NODE), and I don't found the NODE ( SFLIGHT_NODE ) context in the context tab in the WDA for abap so that I don't set data to the context NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE).
Problem 2:
Do you tell me what can I do it so that I get the node SFLIGHT_NODE rather than attribute in the WDA for setting the data to the CONTEXT NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE)?

it all depends on what you want to do.
In SFP, there is a table wizard you can use to create your basic table with headers/footers etc...
You can put buttons on your PDF with code behind them to ADD/DELETE rows dynamically.
for example:
data.Page2.parms.instanceManager.addInstance(1);
I have tables where a column would consist of input fields or radiobuttons or just about anything else you can imagine to put in a table.
But as Otto mentioned, you should elaborate more and tell us what you want to do with the table. If you're not afraid to jump into Formcalc/Javascript, you can do some quite complex activities in your form if you want to.

Update table after filling an adobe interactive form inside a workflow

I have the following workflow problem:
I made a webdynpro application that incudes an adobe interactive form. An user fill this form. After filling the form he will press the submit button. The data will be introduced in the custom table and a workflow will be started.
Inside the workflow, I attached the form filled by the user. After attaching it I introduce a user decision step in order to see the content of the pdf attachment, modify it and send again. So, the person that will execute the workitem has to open that pdf and fill some additional fields. The information should be updated in the table and then send to other persons. I don't know how to update the table with the new values that are inserted in the form in that decisional step and send the updated form to the other users.

You cannot do that through decision step with attachment. You have to do with task registation in t-code SWFVISU. so the work item will come to UWL once the approver clicks the work item it opens and entered his comments, You have to caputer the comments and pass these comments to the workflow container element from there you update to your custom table.

Fill Drop down list in Interactive form

Hello.
I am trying to display multiple values form the context of an form, so not web dynpro! I am using a valuelist object for that.
When I test the form I am only getting to see the first value of my internal table and the drop down list cannot be expanded.
If I analyse the XML I see that the items are there which I want to display.
What is the cause of this, or is this only possible with Interactive form in an Web dynpro scenario (I hope not)

As per this post, I understand that you are going to use a simple ADOBE PRINT FORM which fetches data from ECC and displays it in the form...Am I right?
See, if it is going to be a Simple PRINT FORM which is NON-INTERACTIVE in nature, I dont see the need of DROP DOWN LIST in this scenario. I think that could be the reason why always the first item of the INTERNAL TABLE is displayed all the time.
If you have an INTERACTIVE SCENARIO where the user can select an option from the drop-down, then you can go with ABAP WD/JAVA WD/ISR Adobe Interactive Forms.

Read values from Adobe Interactive Form inside the webdynpro

I have problems to read the values of the fields inside de adobe. I read an article on saptechincal that told:
You can see the Adobe form that we have designed, enter the data as shown below and press the submit button. (As I said earlier an activex control will be installed on to the client machine, you can see the activex control in the internet explore go to the menu: ToolsàInternet optionsàgo to the programs tab àPress button Manage add-ons.
You can see an activex control named u2018SAP ACFu2019, if you donu2019t have this control you will not see this page: Note you need to have adobe acrobat reader 7.1 installed, I have used version 9, the activex control was not working properly so down graded my adobe reader to 7.1)
This is true ??? I have the Acrobat reader 9.3 and i saw that also have the SAP ACF installed.
The value of the property displaytype on adobe interactive form on webdynpro is activeX or native.

I change the value of the attribute but again i can read anything from the adobe form. So let me explain what i'm doing.

Objective: I have to create one webdynpro with an adobe interactive form for create new clients on r/3 system.

1. I create de the view with 2 elements an interactive form and one submit button.

2. Create the context of the view with the following tree:

> context (node)

 > ADOBE_DATA (node)

 > Clients (from KNA1 table) (node)

 > KUNNR

 > LAND1

 > NAME1

 > ORTO1

 > TELF1

>PDF_SOURCE

3. Complementing the properties of the interactive form:
datasource = clients node of the context
displaytype = native
pdf_source = pdf_source attribute of the context
templatesource = name of the form

4. Create the form, and add the data source to the interface of the form

5. On the form bulider i add and subform on the hierarchy tab and the all the fields of the interface to the form and
automatically the value of the fields are binding.

6.Add a submit button from web dynpro native and add the event click to the button. Then i change the value of the layout type and save e activate the form and the interface

7. The next step is create an action for the button submit for the event "onSubmit". So i create the function and start coding this code:

DATA: adobe_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,

 client_element TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,

 client TYPE if_create_client=>element_clients.

*Get reference to the adobe_data node from the context

adobe_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_adobe_data ).

*Get reference to the clients node from the context

client_node = adobe_node->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_clients ).

*Get element node

client_element = client_node->get_element( ).

*Get the values from the form

client_element->get_static_attributes(

 IMPORTING

 static_attributes = client ).

8. Then for finalize i add the view to the window and crate a web dynpro application and put one break point on the submit function event.

9. Activate and test the application and when the program try to add a reference to the element node always returning a null reference and the application dumped.

So please help with this situation i can't understand what is the mistake.

PS: Now i have installed the acrobat reader 7.0.8

Can Adobe Interactive Forms do calculation

HI GURUs,
I am new to Adobe Forms.
Two quick questions:
1. Is it doable to create drop-down list for selection in Adobe Forms? For example, listing different sizes for shoes selection.
2. Is the Form able to do calculation as Excel does? beccause we need to verify total money spent is less than maximum entitlement.

Error message while clicking PDF Preview of a ADOBE interactive form

Hi -
I am creating an ADOBE interactive form having Tables, few text fields and E-mail submit button. The scripting language used is FormCalc.
Whenever I am clicking on PDF Preview to see the form layout and to check other functionality, I am getting an error message:
Error message -
Error: syntax error near token '|' on line 1, column 14.
Script failed (language is formcalc; context is xfa[0].form[0].data[0].Mainpage[0].Subform3[0].Table2[0].Row1[0].RATING[0])
script=this.isnull || (this.rawvalue >= -32768 && this.rawvalue <= 32767
I checked my scripts and there is no syntax error in that. My form is also working absolutely fine except getting this error message pop up whenever I try previewing my form.
Can you please tell me, what can be the possible reason.

I tried everything, but couldn't figure out the reason for error. I wrote the script again, but the error is still coming.
Here is a part of my script. I have written this script on Email submit button in preSubmit event, to check if the RATING field value is less than or equal to 3. depending upon this condition, I am making the COMMENT field as mandatory. The same script is repeated for all the RATING & COMMENT fields.

Adobe Interactive Form - Layout type

Friends,
I am working on an Adobe Interactive Form.
Regarding the Layout Type in the Properties Tab, what option should i choose:
Unknown Layout Type / xACF Layout / ZCI layout / Standard Layout.
I have used print forms in the past and chose Standard Layout. Please let me know what is the right choice for an interactive form.
I am trying to populate Drop Down box with values. I have chosen "Enumerated Drop-down List" from Web Dynpro Native Library.
I have done the binding under Binding tab -> Specify Item Values -> Dynamic Properties -> Binding.
Still the values are not getting displayed in the PDF preview.
Is the layout type the reason for this or do i need to work with ABAP Dynpro to rectify this error.

Hi,
The basic difference is:
1) ActiveX Dropdowns requires ACF to be installed on each client machine to get back the data from interactive form back to context.
2) While, the use of Native dropdowns makes a form to ZCI type, so that does not require any xACF component to be installed on each and every machine that uses the Interactive forms.
So, it is recommended to use Native dropdowns in your forms,
Also, for the population of dropdowns of type native you can go through SAP note: 1013227.
