Scroll Pad Issues

I just recently got a Think Pad X131e and enjoy it but have one rather annoying issue. Randomly for no reason at all the mouse pad on it will no longer allow me to scroll, both with the one finger and two finger options. The clicker will show it responding and turn into the scroll icons but nothing happens. Also every time I click a link rather then go to the links website in the same window it opens a new tab every time. This prevents me from signing in to certain accounts and is just plain annoying as I end up with multiple tabs open. I tried looking into it and troubleshooting but to no avail. It has Windows 7 according to the sticker on it.

Sorry, I should have clarified more on the Update Retriever. With Update Retriever, you can manually initiate the search for update packages, or schedule an automatic search for new update packages at a specified time interval. Here is the System Update Solution Deployment Guide.
You can find the machine type on the bottom of a notebook computer or on the rear of a desktop computer. It should be something like this: Machine Type: X131e Model Number: 3372-28T

Launch Update Retriever. The Welcome screen will not open after the first launch of the Update Retriever. However, you can change the repository path and default status of updates by using the Modify settings option in the Update Retriever navigation pane.
In the Get new updates panel, select the check box next to the applicable machine type you want to search for update packages. Click Next and then click Finish to search for the applicable update packages. Update Retriever will place the update packages in the designated repository folder.
Were you able to initiate a search for updates? You can always uninstall this utility later, I just find it to be convenient to have an automatic search tool for updates. Let me know.

New Track Pad Issues After 10.6.4 Update

I understand that the Mac OS X 10.6.4 was meant to address some track pad issues. I was not experiencing any track pad issue on my Late 2009 MacBook Pro prior to the update. However now my laptop is almost unusable!
The pointer tracking remains accurate on all areas of the track pad, however most clicks are not recognized, requiring an average of 3-5 clicks to initiate an response. Also the bottom half of the track pad surface now seems less responsive to input than the top half. Multitouch gestures like selecting and dragging often lose track of my fingers before I've completed the action. Scrolling still seems to work fine.
Again, I've had this MacBook Pro for 9 months now and prior to the 10.6.4 update the track pad was highly responsive and accurate regardless of how I placed my fingers. Please look into this matter immediately! Thank you.

Exact same problem here. I hadn't notice what you write about the bottom half of the trackpad being less sensitive than the upper one, but now that you said it, I think the same thing it's going on with mine.
I think my problems didn't appear right after I installed 10.6.4, or at least I didn't notice until 2 or 3 days ago. Maybe it worths the try to make a downgrade to 10.6 and check if the problem stop. Let's hope that someone came with the answer to this things, I really hate to use the 'tap to clic' function.

Scroll Pad - Not functioning

I have a Blackberry Curve and had purchased it around five months back. All of a sudden, the scroll pad stopped functioning. Initially, the scroll pad would not work and I had to press it around five to six times and it would work. But now it doesnt seem to work at all and all other buttons work. So as a result, I am not able to scroll up and down or select anything. I do not have the receipt of purchase with me.
Please do advise me as to what I could do regarding the same.

Scroll pad not working!! Help!

My scroll pad on by blackberry curve 8900 3g is keeps stopping working for long periods of time, i have obivously tried rebotting the device by taking out the battery when when ON and it has worked a couple of times but then it freezes again. The phone is only a couple of months old. Any advice appreciated

Please note the following instructions may need interpolating for your specific model; they work for mine.
Open the rear cover and remove the battery and sim card. There's a small rectangular stainless steel metal plate which is the cover for the touchpad. On the left area of this this plate next to the sim card is a tiny white soft piece of sticky paper covering a torx screw that holds the plate in place.
Use a torx screwdriver with a T5 size bit and carefully remove the screw, remove the metal plate then reinsert it and replace and tighten the torx screw. You may find that the screw was loose and the plate may not have been secured in place properly. This may solve your problem for good as a loose torx screw prevents the touchpad or optical pad from making the necessary full contact with the inside of this cover.
Be careful not lose the very tiny torx screw while working on it. You can get a very inexpensive torx screwdriver with a set of miniature bits for around a few £'s or $'s. Make sure there is a T5 bit in the set.
A temporary fix which might help until you get the right screwdriver is to put firm pressure on the metal plate cover with your finger. This does work for a while but the freezing always returns.
Another fix recommended by some is to remove and reinstall the Blackberry sotware but this is also not a reliable fix given the loose screw issue. The only real fix is to follow the above procedure as long as your touchpad is not physically defective and needs replacement.

I would suggest changing the sensitivity options for the track pad on the BlackBerry® Curve™ 9300 smartphone: Go to Options>Typing and Language>Trackpad Sensitivity. Once the sensitivity is changed, test it to make sure the issue is resolved.

Why does my scroll pad all of a sudden not work in FF? It works perfectly fine in IE, MSWord, and windoes explorer, etc...

The scroll pad on my laptop no longer works with FF. Yet it works with every other concievable program i could use it for.

Something you can try is resetting it all Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings. Or go to Settings > Store & sign out & log back in. Another thing you can do is restore your ipod. This has happened to me but the only thing i did was that i created a new account but try doing the things above i just told you. :)

Page shift due to vertical scroll bar issue

I'm working through a vertical scroll bar issue in my design, using a ProjectSeven CSS page template. When testing the site in my browsers (FF/Safari/IE/Opera), and IF the scroll bar is not present, the entire page shifts to the left (the width of the scroll bar) when I click a link in the left column of my design. The page does not shift when the vertical scroll bar is present. Support at P7 suggested the following fix:

height: 100.1%;
margin: 0 0 1px;
I've tried placing this markup in about ten different places but can't seem to find the right location in the code. Is it possible for someone in the forum to take a look at my page source and show me where/how to locate this fix?

Dell Inspiron 5547 laptop touch pad issue

I have Dell inspiron 5547 laptop. I have touch pad issue. Touch pad is looks it's working but It's not working properly. I can't click on file or any where else. I call dell for support they first uninstall all drivers for Touch pad and re install it. After that it works goods for 2-3 days and once again problem is same.
After that I call once again dell support and they send technician to my house to change touch pad after he change, in few days problem is same.
After that I send my laptop to support center and after getting system back I have same issue.
so I call once more times and they send technician to change hard drive with inbuilt OS. After that In just 2 days I have same problem. Now I request dell to replace my system and I am waiting for their approval But If any One have Any solution then please Reply me

Recently, I have started working on ADF and till now I found 2 scroll bar issues with Oracle ADF.
1. af|inputComboboxListOfValues : Scroll bar appears on Google Chrome.

Use Case:
Application will have different BC for different IT Assets (like Monitor, Keyboard, Servers etc), which will basically hold records for all available Assets (like Display Resolution, screen size etc for all monitor in Monitor BC).
I want to give user; the ability to create, for e.g., the sub-class of Monitor to store more specific attribute-values in different table (which will be linked Parent BC). For e.g.: They may want to care about holding CRT and LCD Monitor records in separate new database table -- Application will ask user what all attributes/Columns they want to see for LCD which is specific to this type AND which is not present in already existing out-of-box Monitor BC/Table - e.g. - "Viewing Angle" Attribute).
With that said, I can write code to create database table on fly (having 1-to-1 foreign key reference to parent table) but writing ADF part seems difficult. I also wanted application to automatically generate new page for newly added VO BC. E.g.: LCD-Monitor.JSPX inheriting all attributes from monitor (parent VO) in the same structure as Monitor.JSPX file is having with extra LCD-specific Attributes in separate panel tab (which again UI developers can customized it).
Too much to expect huh !
I am going to start building the application so If not above way, any other suggestion to achieve the requirement ?

It's the button (key) that is labelled Control.
Each of the modifier keys and similar keys has its own symbol; this makes listing command keys easier to do. The Command key is usually the only key which has its symbol printed on the key. If you open Keyboard Viewer (in the Input menu, the one which displays the flag in the main menu bar), you can see what symbol refers to which key.

Padding issue for websites only happening on my coworkers firefox 4

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).
If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting 'none' as a high value can cause issues like you described.

Youtube videos and my scroll pad keep sticking

When i scroll down using two fingers on my scroll pad or whatever you call it it pauses for like a second and then its fine again. It also does it when i'm typing and it does it reallly frequently but for like a nanosecond. I also realised it does it when i'm watched youtube videos, and it does exactly the same thing, like the sound continues the video just stops for a second. I'm guessing their all connected but i just wondered if anyone knew how i could fix it cause it's so annoying!

It's a function of signal quality and how much other stuff you may have open.
Wifi or 3 g? Both things that you mention are streaming, so you need a decent signal to get decent results. If wifi, then see what else you might be doing that is using processor or network resources.
Double tap the home button to see the task bar. Touch and hold any of the icons until they jiggle, the delete them by touching the minus sign.
Grab an app like speed test, and see what your connection speed is. I have found that anything less than 1.5 mps will lead to spotty video streaming.

Scroll pad and multigesture not working
