  • How do you scroll to the next page in apps when it says "1-9 of 20"?

I am new to using an iPad.  I have been tyring to load some free apps.  When looking for apps, it might say "1-9of 20", then "View all".  When I hit view all, it only shows me 12 apps.  How do you get to the others?

'L-R'  you mean right to left, starting the side where it has the little box at the top 'Sort by" - This is for the multi app view (1-9 of 20) you mentioned.
If already on an individaul Apps page you have to quit back by tapping the box in the top left corner marked 'Search'.  Note that default view is to display both iPad and iphone and selecting one or the other individually may result in less than the original total, dependent on availability for that device.
Use just one finger place it on the screen then draw it across the screen - avoid tapping as this selects.
    Best regards, Ct

  • Scrolling through zoomed in pages

Wouldn't it make sense, when zoomed in, to give the arrow buttons the behaviour not to scroll to the next page, but to scroll to the next part of the zoomed in page. Now I am constantly struggeling with reading the second half of a page...

Yes I found out that this is a way how to do it, but for one action I need to press many times:
First the down arrow (or keep it pressed) then the right arrow. While from a user point of view
you just want only one thing: scroll at once to the next zoomed in section, or when you reached
end of page, jump to the next page.
I don't have a mouse wheel on my netbook.

  • How do I stop automatic loading of the next page as I scroll to the bottom of an internet page that has a number of pages?

When I search with Google, as I scroll to near the bottom of the page, the next page of results automatically loads. I can never get to and use the similar searches, or "Searches related to ***", which are at the bottom of the page, as the next page loads and focuses at the top of that next page. Also, there is a bar with the page number, and a field with a "Jump to" command with a pop down arrow with page numbers, and up and down arrows beside it which go up or down one page if used.
This does not happen with, say, Bing, nor if I use Int Expl (aagh).
I have no autopage type of add-ons, or plugins.. I may have had an add-on at one time. There are a bunch of autopager "strings", or lines, in about:config. How do you remove them, if that is the problem?
How do I stop this from happening? It is extremely annoying.
    Thanks,
    SK

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

  • Anyone know how to export a PDF from InDesign so it is "click to go to next page" instead of "scroll to go to next page"?

Anyone know how to export a PDF from InDesign so it is "click to go to next page" instead of "scroll to go to next page"?

I don't use the latest InDesign, but in the past ID's options for exporting to PDF did not allow setting how a PDF should be viewed once exported.  However, these settings can be adjusted in Acrobat through Preferences: check out Page Layout and Zoom under Page Display.

  • Navto:// next page on scroll completion

    Hey all,
I'm looking at Wired's March issue the cover appears to be a smooth scrolling image that when the user hits the far right edge of the image, it jumps to the next page. This is an action I haven't seen before but have been trying to figure out.
Does anyone know how this was achieved? It doesn't appear to be anything more than a scrollable frame, but it's not a functionality that I'm aware of in DPS.
    Thanks
    -Scott

    Woah, that's cool!
It's HTML, not our scrollable frame. When it hits the right scroll point the navto:// to the second page is triggered.

  • I can't scroll down to read my ebook. I have to change pdf view after pressing pg dn to view the next page. Please help!

I can't scroll down to read my ebook. I have to change pdf view after pressing pg dn to view the next page. Please help!

Sorted out the problem myself - secret is you have to go to Full Screen view to be able to scroll down. Easy as that - but not so apparent if you are new to this.

  • Framemaker 11, Windows 7, scrolling to next page with touchpad

    Greetings.
Not sure this question belongs here.  If it belongs elswhere please let me know.
When I try to select a bulleted list that continues onto the next page my selection automatically leaps forward far beyond where I want it to stop (like the end of the document sometimes).
I've tweaked every Windows 7 touchpad and mouse parm I can find to no avail.
I've Googled this with no luck - lots of hits all of which address slowing down the mouse but only a few address the touchpad but still met with no success.
    Anyone have ideas?
Again.  If this is in the wrong forum please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Jerry,
I don't understand what you are seeing. Is the problem that you try to select something and wind up with a much larger selection than intended? If so, the behavior could indeed involve your touchpad. However, since you've written to the structured FM forum, I suspect your document is structured. In this case, you might simply be seeing the way selections work in structured documents.
In particular, FM automatically "heats" (expands) a selection that includes one boundary of an element to include the entire element. For example, if you turn on the View Element Boundaries option and drag over one of the resulting square brackets, FM selects that entire element. (Note that it is possible to select the beginning of an element's content without selecting all the content or the element itself.)
The reason for this behavior is that anything that can be selected can be deleted, and it doesn't make sense to delete one boundary without the other. As another example, suppose you have a Title element followed by a Paragraph. If you click in the middle of the Title and shift-click in the middle of the Paragraph, the selection heads to include the entirety of both elements. Without this expansion, it would be possible to delete the end of the Title and the beginning of the Paragraph leaving both elements malformed. If one of the elements is large, for example, a Section or List that spans numerous pages, you can unexpectedly select a large portion of the document.
In XML terms, if you select a start- or end-tag, FM selects the entire element. Thus, FM structured documents are always well-formed.

  • Text overflown is not getting printed in the next page in ADOBE

    Hi Experts,
I have a text field, where the users can enter the comments. In this text field if the user enters more than a page, a scroll bar appears in the print preview where the users can view the complete text what they have entered, but while printing the text which exceeds more than a page is not getting printed in the next page.
I have set the subform properties as "Flowed" and the check box "Allow Page Break within content" is also been enabled, but still the extra contents is not getting printed in the next page.
    Please help me regarding this.

    Hi,
This issue is in ADOBE, I think there is no concept of Window in ADOBE,
The text box is placed inside a Subform.

  • I resize my window image so everything is correct portion but as soon as I change window to next page the image goes back to small size. How can I stop this occuring. This happens when go on facebook or any other area. Help me please.

size of the general image that I see reduces toby about a third - I resize it by pressing Ctrl key and using my mouse scroll button to expand the whole image so that it fill the screen. As soon as I go to the next page the whole image reverts back to original size and I have to repeat the action again.

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.
Try the Default FullZoom Level extension: <br />

  • How do I get rid of the "Loading Next Page" thing?

Recently my Firefox started pre-loading pages. As I scroll to the bottom of a web page I get a notification pop-up at bottom right, saying "Loading next page" ... but all it seems to do is reload the page I'm already on, creating a situation where I can scroll down into infinity and keep seeing the same page. It slows down my browsing and is really annoying me! I have looked through my add-ons and can't see anything that would be doing this, so I have to assume it's something Firefox has decided to put in ...? Anyone have any ideas at all about the origins, and/or how to stop it happening, please? I am using Windows 7 64-bit on a laptop.

This will be caused by an add-on, and checking your list of add-ons, the likely culprit is [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825/ FastestFox], the description of the add-on states it can "auto-load the next page".

  • Horizontal scroll bar moves with page up/down

I'm new at this and apologize if I don't have the right forum, but can't find any reference to my problem anywhere. A month or so ago the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the screen started moving up or down with the page as I used the vertical scroll bar to page up or down. The bar partly disintegrates if I click on it, but mostly remains in place and obscures text on that line. If there is more than one page I can make the bar disappear by scrolling the to the next page, and then back. This happens only when I'm on the internet, and appears in news pages ( e.g. NY Times, BBC) and on my e-mails (I use Hotmail). I have a Mac mini, 1.66 GHz, OS 10.4.11, all other updates offered by Apple. I'm sure this is not a Safari problem, and my searches for Apple viruses, Trojans, Worms, has found nothing about this (there are discussions about vertical scrolling, but these don't seem to relate to my problem). So can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it? Thanks for any help. TJ Wont

I've got the same problem. It started when the BBC introduced adverts onto their News website. As the page loads an advert (or sometimes whitespace) appears between the tab and the BBC News banner. This is then shifted to the right hand side when the page fully loads.
I suspect that there's some fancy DHTML going on that Safari isn't rendering properly.
Problem doesn't occur if the Safari window is maximised to full screen width.

  • Removing scroll bar from product pages

I need to remove the scroll bar that appears on the product pages. It doesn't matter if I have only one product or 100 on the page with the small images, I still get a scroll bar on the right side. I've tried adding and removing margins and padding, set the container height to auto, and removed the previous and next buttons from the shop templates, all to no avail. It appears to be caused by the table that holds the products, but no change to the code fixes it.
I have included a screen print of the top of the page showing the scroll bar. There are only 3 images on this page and plenty of room below them. Overflow has been set to auto (and/or visible) on the container, the table, and the page.
So, can anyone tell me how to shut off that scroll bar? I can't find that code that includes it so I can't see what's going on.
    Thank you for you help.
    Sincerely,
    Ahurani

    Liam,
    Thank you for answering.
I didn't want to turn the scroll bar on the page off, but the scroll bar that appears in a div container. I finally solved the problem by turning overflow: auto to overflow: hidden. And smacked myself in the forehead and said, "Duh. I knew that." Too tired and too close to the problem I guess.
The only other thing I can't seem to find is the large space that appears above a product table. I've tried everything from margins to padding and beyond.
Sorry about not including the url. I have used the forum so rarely that I didn't think of that. It is www.whimsicalley02.businesscatalyst.com, just in cases you want to look at the big space on Harry Potter > Accessories and on the large product page. I'd love to tuck the product closer to the breadcrumb, but if that is not possible, then c'est la vie.
    Thank you.

  • Enable scrolling instead of single page view (as default)

I have ebooks that open using "single page view", which is where you can't scroll DOWN the pages, it just automatically goes to the next page if you scroll the mouse down.  I want to enable scrolling automatically.  I can do this by going:    View >Page display >Enable scrolling... but when I close the document it doesn't save the settings ???

You can set this under File - Document Properties - Initial View.
However, I think that the local settings of the user (if set) will override
    the document's setting.
