Scrollbar & extra spaces between pages.

Hi All,
Please provide some help on smartforms.
     We are facing following problem with smartforms, We have created a smartform having one table with dynamic content.And after this dynamic table we have some static content.Based on the no.of items, the length of the entries in the table varies.If the table entries length increased beyond the page length, then we are getting a scrollbar in the page in which this table is displayed.
We had maintained the page length to the maximum.
    And we are also getting some extra spaces between each static content of the smartform.
Regards
Veena.

i already set the margins to the exact limits of the frames.,
have a question:
i have a big non repeating (a lot of repeating and no repeating frame inside.,print object 1st page) in the top of my main section and have a small repeating frame below it (print object last page.,)
does the small repeating frame causes the space? or it doesn't?

  • How to remove extract space between pages in smartform without changing output

    Hello Experts,
    I've been given a requirement where I need to remove extra space between pages of a smartform (refer to the attachment). If you look at the following screen shot then you will notice that that there is a command provided to display details on these pages which has a checkbox 'Go to New Page'.
    When I removed the above New Page comment then still I don't see the expected output (Refer to the attached screen shot 'Expected' to see what I need).
    Also there is another there is another New Page command (as shown below).
    When I tried to removed the above New Page Command then output was totally changed which user don't want (as shown below. Table should have been break on BCVI on red line, which happens today but with so much extra space).
    To view the correct output how user want please have a look at 'Expected' screen shot.
    Now the question is what change I should make in my smartform to accomplish the expected output.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    I think that it should work, this construction of an loop node including all relevant items and at the event TAB event sort field only these items are copied in the OUTPUT_TAB which should be printed in a separate table on the form. After having printed the table, the content of the internal table is cleared.
    I suppose that you first should check if this TAB "event sort field" includes the correct criteria for the necessary group change. If this event is really defined correctly, then I only have one hint for you.
    I know that the only possibility to define a page break in a table in the Window MAIN is to use the following technique:
    Define an outside loop node and in this loop node a table node, but this table does not have a internal table to be looped through. It includes only the fields to be printed, maybe you have to re-design your table node.
    By the way only then you can define a command node including a page break during the processing of an internal table.

    My home page is www.turbocam.com. Notice on the left side that there is an extra space between news item 1 and 2.  Between news item 2 and 3 the spacing is normal. I haven't touched the template. Any thoughts as to why this is occuring? The module is listed as:

    Never mind! I figured it out. I had break tags outside the div tag!

  • How do I hide the grey space between pages in a document?

    I am still trying to learn Pages after using MS Word for many years and I am unable to find how to eliminate the space between pages in a document on screen. I should add that after reading a lot of reviews re: versions of Pages I ordered a CD of iWorks 09  as the concensus seemed to be that the earlier versions were much better than the most recent.  Anyway, I would like to just see the text and nothing else as though it is just one very long page! How can I do that without updating to the current version of Pages?
    I have a MB Pro running iWork 09 version 4.3 on Yosemite (up-to-date).

    Thanks for the response, Peter! I have seen your replies on many questions and you seem to be the bomb when it comes to Mac 'stuff' !
    I guess i didn't explain myself well...I do not want to eliminate pages, I merely did not want to have all that wasted space (margins/footnotes/headers/grey) between the text I have on each page. It is merely for what I see on the screen - not elimination of the formatting/paging etc..
    I have about a 15-20 page 'cheat sheet' that I have open frequently on the far right of my screen as I am working at my laptop which I refer to intermittently. I need to scroll thru pages to find what I am looking for and I just wanted to reclaim some real estate, so to speak. I don't want to change anything other than what I see on the screen - if I choose to print all or part of my 'cheat sheet' the format doesn't change and I can print whatever individual pages necessary! Actually I think there may still be a line showing a page break but no real 'space' between the pages.
    Did this explanation help to further delineate what I am trying to do? and is it possible?

  • Space Between Pages

    Hello,
    I am new to InDesign and am using CS6 version with Windows 7 Pro.
    I don't know what did I do. I was working on a document with 12 pages and suddenly, there are spaces between pages. I must have accidently pressed a key on my keyboard, or something. I don't prefer to have any space between pages. Could someone please let me know how do I get rid of these spaces?
    Any suggestions/comments are much appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi Peter,
    Here are the screenshots, one for the top of the page and the other one is for the bottom of the page. The grey areas are the space I am talking about.
    Thank you.

  • Trouble with format of files exported from pages as .doc - when opened on a pc they have extra spaces and pages breaks inserted after each line?  Can be manually deleted, but defeats sharing purpose. advice?

    Hi all, I have trouble with the format of files exported by email as .doc from pages - when opened in MS word on a PC or other device, they have extra spaces and pages inserted after each line - can be deleted manually, but defeats sharing purpose.  Any advice?  Not the most sophisticated user.

    Got it. I tried booting with MOD_AUTOLOAD set to yes, and it was working fine. Looks like I needed to specify some more modules in my list.

  • Why is there a thin dark line between two of my three cover images that wasn't there before?  When I delete the images, you can tell that there is extra space between the first two image boxes.

    Getting ready to purchase my first book, I looked over everything once more and noticed that there is now a thin gray line between the first two of my three cover images.  I believe this may have happened when I switched out the left image.  When I delete the images, you can see an extra space between the center and left image boxes.  How can I fix this without starting over?

    What size book? Are you previewing this way -
    Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

  • Firefox web pages often print with many extra spaces between letters, making the printout illegible and useless..

    When I try to print e-mails in Thunderbird and web pages in Firefox, the individual letters usually print (either to my laser printer or to Acrobat Distiller) with many spaces between each letter, making the printout nearly illegible and useless. Any thoughts? And settings that would correct this? (I never had this problem before the last few months, using earlier versions of Firefox and Thunderbird.

    about:config has many listings for each of my printers, but instead of starting with "print.print_printer" [naming the printer], most listings that name a printer start with "print_printer" or simply printer_[printer name]. I don't want to reset all the listings, not knowing beforehand if that would be advisable.

  • Extra space between paragraphs: is there a way to delete that?

    I am importing text from a word document to format in InDesign. It' 150 pages of a book that I'll layout.
    I made a mistake when writing the book with word by creating a space between every paragraph, which I now want to get rid of.
    Is there a way to automate this with InDesign? Is there some way to automatically delete the extra space betwen my paragraphs and add an indent instead?

    Hi craigatadobe12345
    You can do it by by seaching "^p^p" in find and replace "^p^t" with Find/Replace window. This will remove the extra line and set a tab to indent the text.
    Please find below the screenshot of the same. Hope it helps...

  • Carriage Returns in HTML Code Creating Extra Spaces Between Elements

    I've looked online all over and can't find the solution to my issue. I've found several pages explaining a similar event, but no solution.
    When placing many divs next to each other, I would like to visually view the code as one div per line: (see image) To get this, I have to use hard returns in my code (this method makes editing a lot easier visually). But doing so adds extra spacing between the divs which turns a 3 column set of thumbnails to 2 colums. I can fix this if I adjust the physical margins between the divs, but this can't be the only fix.
    The other fix is if I place the code back to back to back (see image): This makes the div's behave and appear as they should, but now the code is a visual mess because it's all cluttered.
    What I want is to be able to use as many carriage returns in my code and for browsers to disregard these types of line breaks in the code. So essentially, how can I get away from these extra spaces when using hard returns in code?

    I think that both your pages have a missing </div> at the end somewhere.
    Opps... that happened when I was stripping down the page to create a working example of my issue. I've fixed the missing div and re-uploaded both pages. The problem is still there.
    Change display: inline; to float: left; and add margin: 0 0 4px 4px; (as shown below)
    I had already tried using float, but something else in the code was forcing the columns to 2 instead of 3.
    Have you used "Apply Source Formatting" ?
    I use that religiously. I'm quite anal about visually clean code.
    Well, I just fixed the problem while replying... funny... I removed the margins from the actual img element (.imageThumb img) and placed it on the div which surrounds the img (.imageThumb). I also reapplied the float. Thanks all for the help - it helped me rethink. But I could have sworn I had once placed the margins on .imageThumb before and it didn't work.
    .imageThumb {
        width: 100px;
        height: 75px;
        display: inline;
        float: left;
        margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;
        cursor: pointer;
    .imageThumb img {
        /*margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px;*/

  • How do I remove extra space between paragraphs

    I'm writing a research paper, and between paragraphs an extra line of space is added.  My professor isn't happy about this.  Help me eliminate the space.

    The default after paragraph spacing in Pages is 12 points. With a 12 point font, this puts a whole line-worth of space after each paragraph return. It is very easy to change this in the text inspector.
    If you don't want to have to remember to change it each time you open a new blank word processing document, create your own template. Open the blank template & set up your document with the line spacing, margins, headers, etc. as you'd like. Redefine all of the paragraph & character styles to have your desired font. You can set default wrap for any object as well as many other settings. Insert a table, click in it & choose the font, size, color, etc. you want in the fonts panel or format bar. You can do similar changes to inserted objects & text boxes. While you're at it resize the box if you want, set the amount of extra space in the wrap inspector, etc. Delete each text box, object & table after you've set them.
    Now, save this document as a template & select that template as default in preferences. If you decide to make any changes to the template down the road, just Save As Template again with the same name & replace the previous version. All of your new documents will have these settings for inserted objects, images & tables. Unfortunately, the settings won't apply to any other templates or "foreign" documents you open with Pages.

  • How to remove space between pages in Oracle Reports 6i?

    Hi,
    I have customized one oracle report (rdf). Earlier, the standard report was showing the ouput in pages i.e. there exists space beteen the pages. But I want my custom report in such a way that it should show me the result in one page i.e. there should be no space between the pages as user wants to spool the output into excel sheet (xls format) after getting the result output obtained from my custom report. Presently, when i spool the data into excel sheet, there is still the space exists between the pages like...few records will come then white space...then records.
    How can I remove this space, so that user can easily spool the data into excel without existence of white space.
    Any sort of help on this will be highly appreciated.

    Hi,
    My report is running on Unix. When I checked the output file in unix where it is getting generated, i saw ^L characters wherever the space appears when i see the output in apps (notepad) , like after every page where I am able to see the space in my output, there ^L is appearing in output file in unix, so how can I avoid this.
    I tried to adjust the frames and repeatinf frames also, even i tried changing the properties also of main region (body), but nothing is working for me and still the same issue occurs. I am not aware of this. Please suggest me.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Getting a extra space between the line in the PDF output

    I an having the rtf templete contains a table . That table contains 3 row and for the second row i have a for loop start at 1st column and end's at last column . first and 3rd row are the simple data donot have any for loop .

    Example
    1st row ------ Contains data field
    2nd row For Each grouph data fields End for
    3rd row --------- Contains data field
    On the PDF output the data which is in the for loop ( 2nd row ) takes one more extra line ( space ) between the record .

  • Removing extra space in page footer after conditional suppression

    Hi,
    I have two page footers.  One of them is conditionally suppressed, the other is always present.  When the conditionally suppressed page footer is present, the other footer appears above it.  But when the conditionally suppressed page footer is being suppressed, the other footer should occupy the bottom of the page.  Instead, it appears that, despite the suppression of the page footer, there is still space reserved at the bottom of the page for it.  Any ideas on how to resolve this?
    Thank you.
    Edited by: plynch on Dec 29, 2011 9:50 PM

    Hi,
    So, you have a 'PageFooter a' and 'PageFooter b'. The conditional suppression logic has been applied on Footer b. When Footer b is suppressed, you wish to 'push' the Footer a section down to where Footer b would appear?
    Well, when Footer a is suppressed, Footer b takes its place, however it is not the same when the last Page Footer section is suppressed as there is nothing that can take its place and Footer a is already showing up where it should be!
