Scrolling credits - How to underline text?

Hi there friends,
I am currently making credit for the end of a FCE project.
Whilst in the "Controls" tab, writing out my credits, is there a possibility of underlining some text?

I don't think there's a way to underline using that generator. If you use one of the Boris ones it's extremely simple.
You could always copy all your text from the current generator and paste it into the Boris Crawl one if you need a quick way to underline.

I would like to underline text (it's also a hyperlink) that's inside mx:Text when the user does a rollover on the text. The problem I'm having is that this mx:Text is part of an mx:List and inside of an itemRenderer. I was trying to do a rollover inside the mx:Text and call a function inside that class, but there's seems to be a scope issue. How do I
1.) underline upon rollover

1.) underline upon rollover - set the htmlText property of the Text so the text is inside <ul></ul>
2.) access the mx:Text that's inside an itemRenderer - access the dataProvider
3.) return to the normal text upon rollout - set the htmlText property of the Text so the text is NOT inside <ul></ul>
BTW, you may need to use a TextArea, and set the border thickness to 0, and focus thickness to 0, and set selectable and editable to false, and set the size, because a Text control cannot respond to user input.

How do I underline text in Flash?

There doesn't seem to be any clearcut instructions on how to underline text in Flash. I did a search and there seems to be many solutions by adding code, etc. I tried using the Line Tool to underline some text and it shows up fine on the stage but when I preview it, the line does not show up. Any idea why?
Is there a simple solution on how to underline text for someone new to Flash?

Ok I finally saw it, but that text doesn't correspond to the text that I originally typed in the text field. I guess the code will override whatever you type on the stage, eh? (yes) I might as well just delete what's on the stage and just use the code (yes)
The text field had room for 4 lines. But the code you mentioned appears to be only for 1 line. So if I type something long, the text gets cut off (ie/ it doesn't wrap to the next line of the field). What is the code to put a second line of text beneath the first?
1. make sure you're using a multiline textfield with wordwrap. you can then use <br> to manually insert a line break or let flash wrap text that doesn't fit on one line.

How do I eliminate shaky text from scrolling credits?

I have added scrolling credits to a video and the scroll is not smooth. There is no stabilization or shutter roll mechanism to use with built-in, FCPX text and titles. So, how do I eliminate the shake from scrolling credits?

How do I make scrolling credits title stop moving and leave text on screen?

Hi, I have used the scrolling credits title template to end my first FCP X video ( I'm a newbie using the trial version). I want to slow down the speed of the scrolling and then have it end with the text remaining static so that veiwers can read the credits. At the moment it goes too fast and ends before you have a chance to read the names etc. I want to leave the text stationary for a few seconds so that the contact details can be seen.
How do I do this. I have not bought Motion just yet as I am still using the Trial version. Does anyone know of a good clear online tutorial that demonstartes this?

Create a compound clip from the credits clip. Select the clip. Position the playhead where you want it to be stationary, Shift-H to hold.

FCPX: Scrolling Credits Text Color

Can anyone tell me how to change the color of text in the scrolling credits option from white to another color? I don't see an option to do this. I see an option to change ALL the text in the credits to one color, but not line by line. I only want to color the main title categories in the credits.

When I want to add items to the bookmarks toolbar, for example: -Zoom toolbar. The zoom Toolbar appears on the bookmarks toolbar, but it shows the favicons aswell the underlined text. I only want the favicons. How to do this, please help!!

If you only want the favicons and not the names of the bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar, you can do that with the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4072/ Smart Bookmarks Bar] add-on.

How to get the Underlined text in JTextPane

I have a JtextPane with text say "i _like java_ it is a _good language_".
in the above text i have made "like java" and "good language" underlined. And i have added a mouse listener to this JTextpane. the whole idea is to create a hyperlink so that when the user clicks anywhere on "like java" then i want to get the complete text("like java") where i clicked and using this text i want to do some operation. How can i get the underlined text?

Trouble making the text in scrolling credits (made on Final Cut Express) export clear and not fuzzy

I am having difficulty making the text in the scrolling credits in Final Cut Express clear and not fuzzy. I went under effects, then clicked video generators, then text, then scrolling text to get the scrolling credits working. I tried using the Chroma Keyer effect and the Color Key Effect. These work on captions on video and beginning titles but not the scrolling text. All of those were made on livetype so maybe that is why. I would really appreciate some help. I've been working on this all day. I was on the technical support line for about 40 minutes and they told me there is no more help given over the phone for Final Cut Express and that I should go on here and see if anyone can answer my question. I looked on all the forums and there was nothing on this subject. Thanks.

The software is not doing what it should be doing. We have all had this type of problem. It is nearly always somehow in the way the software is being used. Look at your added Chromakey and color key. You must be doing something that the FCE does not like. Open a new project and new sequence and try the exact same thing. (I use titles from LiveType and from the effects tab and have no problems)

I need a way to reverse the scrolling credits in iMovie 11. I want them to start at the end, and scroll backwards to the beginning.

Make a project that contains your scrolling credits, and nothing else. SHARE it using Export to QuickTime. Choose Apple Intermediate Codec as the codec. Import this movie back into an iMovie Event by using File/Import Movies.
Now you can use this clip and go to the Clip tab of the Inspector and select Reverse.

How can I make the scrolling credits slower?

At the moment they scrol really fast and you can hardly read them.

I cannot move the blue bar in any direction. The clip is stuck on 4 seconds - I didn't choose this length, when I selected Scrolling Credits and dragged them into the Project area that is what iMovie automatically set. Is there a way to extend thetime period beyond this 4s limit?
