Scrolling direction is different between iPhone and Trackpad.

Can i change the scrolling direction on the TrackPad? It is different between mobile device like iPhone and Trackpad.
TrackPad:
To scroll down i have to move my fingers from top to bottom.
on iPhone or iPad:
To scroll down i have to move my finger from bottom to top.
I want to use it in the same way, because it is confusing.
Greeting Koe

You will be able to when you upgrade to Lion.  The gestures are as  you describe.

  • Playlist order different between iPhone and iTunes

I updated to 3.1 and iTunes 9. In iTunes lets say i have 5 songs in a playlist. Lets say I Will Not Bow, Let The Beat Build, So Sharp, Good Time, and Fall. But on my iPhone in the same playlist they are ordered Let The Beat Build, Good Time, I Will Not Bow, So Sharp, then Fall. Why would they be ordered differently between the two? Anyone else having this problem?

There is a solution for this problem. Right click your smartlist; select edit smartlist; UNCHECK "live updating"; Then sync your files. This will adjust your device (iPod, iPhone) list to the way it is in your iTunes list.
It does mess up adding new songs to your smartlist if you use a specific method of list names which adds a song automatically. If this is the case, check "live updating" using the method above, add your song, then uncheck it again to keep the order as it is in iTunes.
Hope this helps. It works for me everytime a list messes up. I read about this fix somewhere in these forums, tried it and it works like a charm!!

  • Volume Different Between iPhone and iTunes

So I record my own music (using an MBox) and import it into iTunes. Then I select my song that I recorded and "Convert Selection to ACC" (so my song won't be 50 MB).
Now this is confusing to me because when I put the song on to my iPhone the volume is the same as the other songs (including songs that I have purchased)...which is what I want. But when I listen to it on my computer through iTunes it is half the volume (or DB) than my purchased music. Sound Check and Sound Enhancer are not in enabled. Don't know why the volume would be different between my iPhone and computer.
If I crank up the "Volume Adjustment" to counter it, it make my iPhone volume way too loud! What's up? Is the iPhone software doing something to it?

Ahh my iPhone had Sound Check on for some reason...I guess it is default to that?

  • Available space estimates different between iPhone and iTunes

    Hi,
I've just noticed that looking at my iPhone is settings it says I have 708 MB available while in iTunes it says I have 1.66 GB available. They agree in the used amount. I've just synced it to see if that resolved it but it did not. Any ideas?

I checked again last night, and now iTunes matched the phone settings, saying zero space was available. I had nearly 20 gigs of "Other" data :/
So I erased all settings/data on the iPhone and restored from an iCloud backup from last week, and now everything seems fine, with over 15 GB of available space.

  • Moving files between iphone and pc

    hi
haw can i move files between iphone and pc, and haw can i explore file and folders tree in iphone ?
do i need to install a third party software ? which one ?
    thank you

You can't browse the iPhone's filesystem and directly move file to/from the phone. There obviously is some software anywhere out there capable of doing this.
However, these are Apple's forums, and as breaking the phone and using third party software is at this point of time not allowed, you should not ask here about this software.

  • What is different between #INITSEG and INITSEG in file bootsect.s?

I read the file bootsect.s,I think the INITSEG is constant,
and I think #INITSEG and INITSEG are always equal 0x9000,
but why are they different usage?
    Look:
    .text
    BOOTSEG = 0x07c0
    INITSEG = 0x9000
    entry start
    start:
    mov ax,#BOOTSEG
    mov ds,ax
    mov ax,#INITSEG
    mov es,ax
    jmpi go,INITSEG
I want to know what is different between #INITSEG and INITSEG?
How to use  #INITSEG and INITSEG?

I think you are currently mixing up the two definitions. I think the assembler here uses the hash prefix (#) to declare values and a clean number for addresses and offsets.
    ... http://www.oldlinux.org/Linux.old/kerne … bootsect.s
    BOOTSEG = 0x07c0 ! original address of boot-sector
INITSEG = 0x9000 ! we move boot here - out of the way
    start:
    mov ax,#BOOTSEG ! set register ax to #BOOTSEG = value 0x07c0
mov ds,ax ! set register ds to register ax = value 0x07c0
    mov ax,#INITSEG ! set register ax to #INITSEG = value 0x9000
mov es,ax ! set register es to register ax = value 0x07c0
! ds and ax cannot be filled directly, the value has to be set to the accumulator register (ax) first I think.
! Thats the reason for 4 lines instead of 2
    mov cx,#256 ! set register cx to #256 = value 256
sub si,si ! set register si to 0
sub di,di ! set register di to 0
rep ! call the command in the next line
movw ! move cx (256) words = 512 bytes from ds (0x07c0) to es (0x9000)
jmpi go,INITSEG ! jump to the address go + 0x9000. go is the offset of the label "go" to the start of the moved memory segment
go: mov ax,cs ! here is the label "go"
Edit: That should be as86 (man as).

  • How to sync iCal between iPhone and MacBookPro without MobileMe?

    Hello,
How can I sync iCal between iPhone and MacBookPro without MobileMe?
I'm still using MobileMe, but I will stop soon.
I'm using my iPhone in India a lot to create new events or to add new contacts. At the end of the day I would like to able to sync it with my MacBookPro without using MobileMe. Internet Connection is often very bad in that area. The iPhone I only use without UMTS and all that Data Transfering stuff. Best for me would be to sync directly by wire or Bluetooth if possible. If you have a solution with and without Internet Connection, that would be very helpfull to me.

On the Mac, in iTunes with iPhone attached, click on the iPhone section. Go to the "info" tab. There you will see a list of items that can be synced. Make sure that "sync addressbook contacts" is checked, along with the appropriate choices under it.
Don't know what else to say, it works fine here.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I get all photos from the camera roll onto the photo stream so they will share between iphone and ipad?

How can I get all photos from the camera roll, and all new pictures taken, to get on the photostream so they can share between iphone and ipad?

When turning PhotoStream on with photos available in the Camera Roll, only photos captured by the iPhone or saved on the iPhone are placed in the PhotoStream.
For all photos that were in the Camera Roll prior to turning PhotoStream on, import the photos with your computer and add the photos to your PhotoStream on your computer.

  • HT204053 Can I use the same Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime services from two different devices - iPhone and iPad?

Can I use the same Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime services simultaneously on two different devices - iPhone and iPad? It seems those are competing to each other, and the services work on one of them only (iPhone).

Many thanks, Sir! Both are mine and it's good to know that imessage can work on both with the same Apple ID. Will now have to find out why imessage stopped working on iPad when it started on iPhone (new). After exploring the forum I understand  that there may be plenty of reasons why imessage does not work, even though it worked previously on the same device with the same ID.

  • Is it possible to transfer music between iPhones and iPods with out using iTunes

Is it possible to transfer music between iPhones and iPods with out using iTunes

Nope.  Both require iTunes on a computer to sync music from.
Unless the iPod is an iPod Touch and the music was bought from iTunes.  In which case the Touch can simply go to the iTunes App, under Purchased  and download the purchased songs for free.

  • HT5295 How to sync between iPhone and iPad?

How to sync between iPhone and iPad at Podcasts app?

    Please elaborate - share what?
    Just guessing here...
Any sharing is probably a result of being logged in with the same Apple ID on both devices.
For apps/music: Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Automatic Downloads OFF.
For iCloud: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account.
For iMessage: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
