Scrolling down to a label with a click on a linkbutton or button

Hy every body, I'm new in flex .
I try to create a web site with flex 3 and i need, in one of my page to use a linkbutton or a button to go down ( to Label Position) in the same page (From a titlewindow to a label in the canvas).
i think it was easy (like in HTML) but i have spend more than 3 hours and i don't find the solution.

You didn't say whether you are running with transactions or not.
I'd like to take a look at and run your test program and data. Would you send it to me at ron dot cohen @ oracle.com? This would only be useful if it is a simple java program not using an Application Servers or other software that I would need to install and configure.
So if you send me a runnable application with data and it is easy for me to run I will be happy to send you some suggestions after reviewing what you have. You can upload the java application and data to ftp.sleepycat.com/incoming and tell me the name of the archive. The application will be kept private.

Drag and Drop Labels with line interconnected

Dear all,
As before, I use java.awt.dnd objects and java.awt.datatransfer objects to help me to drag and drop some labels with right-click my mouse.
Now I would like to left-click my mouse to draw a line between the two labels by pressing the left-click on label 1 and drag and drop to label 2. Then I would like to see a now line created betwwen label 1 and 2. I have an idea to addMouseListener and addMouseMotionListener on the labels to get the position of the labels and draw a line with the position. But I found that both right-click and left-click can trigger this event. Can I give some restriction on that so only left-click can trigger this event.
Also I cannot do it successfully as I found that after I rewrite the paintComponent method, the older image cannot be cleared and make the screen become verbose. Do I missing something on rewrite the paintComponent method? Also do you have any other suggestion on the task of drawing a line between the 2 labels?

You simply add a test like that in your Mouse(Motion)Listener's methods :

Page goes blank if I scroll down

Hey guys,
I am using iWeb '08 to create a basic webpage. For some reason, if I scroll down (in iWeb), the page will go completely blank (just shows the template background) with no items on the page. If I scroll back up to the top, the items reappear. Anything below the page fold can't be seen because I can't scroll down. This happens with all templates.
Why is it doing this? How can I fix it? Thanks!

I am working on a project with edge animate and i have got off screen pages that animate in to place when i click on a button. (click event - sym.play("to_page2"); ) this works fine, however i also want to scroll up and down and cycle between the "pages". I have recorded the animation and uploaded it to vimeo:

Currently i am working with labels. Once you click -> go to label. But i want to scroll down and go to the label next in line, and when i scroll up: go to the previous label.
Can somebody help me out here? Other solutions to scroll cycle between these pages are welcome too.

How do I scroll down to see list of selected audiobooks and albums to sync with my iPhone in iTunes 11?

I am running Windows 7 and using iTunes 11. I have an iPhone 4.
In the past I have been able to sync selected albums and audiobooks with my iPhone using iTunes with no problems, but today when I tried to add an audiobook from my computer to my iPhone, I could not see it (or the audiobooks previously added to my iPhone) listed as a choice under Books --> Sync Audiiobooks --> Selected Audiobooks.
I connected my iPhone to my laptop via USB. iTunes 11 comes up. My iPhone syncs automatically.
I click the iPhone device in the sidebar and the list of choices (Summary, Info, Apps, Tones, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, and Photos) appears across the top of the main part of iTunes to the right of the sidebar.
When I click on Music from this list of choices, I have selected Sync Music and Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.
Under this I see my list of Playlists and the ones I have checked. I also see my list of Artists and the ones I have checked.
Under these two items, I see the words Genres and Albums, but I cannot scroll down to see them (not even to see the ones I have previously selected to be synched with my iPhone).
When I click on Books I see that Sync Audiobooks is checked and Selected audiobooks is selected, but I cannot see the list of audiobooks from which I can choose the ones I want to add to my iPhone and I cannot see the audiobooks that I previously selected and that are currently on my iPhone. I see the words Audiobooks and Parts, but I cannot scroll below these words to see the list of audiobooks that are on my laptop.
Any help in resolving these issues would be greatly appreciated.

I had similar issue a few months ago - I think it didn't work unless I did it when the music was actually playing in the now playing section.

Many of my photos appear briefly as I scroll down the page then disappear leaving a box outlined with a broken-line. The menu bar says that I have 300 pictures hidden, but I am unable to get them unhidden.

I am experiencing difficulty with iPhoto '11. Some of more recent photos can not be accessed. As I scroll down the page of photos, the most recent ones appear briefly, then disappear to be replaced with a box outlined by a broken-line. The menu bar says that I have 317 photos hidden. Hiding photos is not something that I normally do, can't imagine why these are hidden. Anyway, when I try to unhide the photos, I can view them as an event, but if I click on a single photo, or try to move it into an album, the photo does not display. Instead I get a dark exclamation point within a triangle. Another problem with these same photos is on the event page there is no key photo for these events only a dark screen. I can't find an answer to my problem. Has anyone experienced this? What is the problem and how can I correct it?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

How to read the whole name of a music title while scrolling down a list of titles? The old software-app had the function to click for a longer time on a titles beginning letters until a black box revealed the entire name. I miss this function especially for my classical music, because lots of pieces start with similar words. E.g.:
"Beethoven: Variations On "Ein Mädchen Oder Weibchen", Op. 66 - Var. 1"
"Beethoven: Variations On "Ein Mädchen Oder Weibchen", Op. 66 - Var. 2"
Scrolling in a list of title, I can't distinguish the titles, because just the first words are shown followed by: "...".

Or you could include a width to your body style:

It might work or not depending on your other color scheme.

Can't swipe back on websites any more..the page just freezes and i have to close it...this happens with both the trackpad and magic mouse. Also can't scroll down in iCal...any advice please?

While browsing online tonight my Wi-Fi failed and then after restarting I noticed that I can no longer swipe "back" on websites...when I swipe back to go to a previous page the browser just freezes – can’t click anything or navigate to another site – I have to close the browser and reopen it.
This happens in both Safari and Google Chrome with both Trackpad and Magic Mouse.
Also noticed that I can no longer scroll down in iCal… All the other gestures seem to be responding normally.
Anyone have advice as to how I can fix this?

Restart your computer and try again.
Double check your AppleMenu()>System Preferences>Trackpad
for all custom settings here.

Scrolling down a pdf with the down arrow key ...

Hello,
I have a 20 page newsletter pdf with about 12 articles. At the top of the first page there's our text logo, and just below it is a table of contents compiled using table of contents styles (btw this pdf was compiled in Indesign 5.5) and just below that is the first article, then below that, the second.. and so on. At the bottom of each page there's a "return to the table of contents" button that shoots the reader back up to the TOC on the first page when clicked, in addition to a page number. There is also a header with the name of the publication and issue number..
the problem I'm having is, when scrolling through the first article on the first page with the down arrow key, once I get to the bottom of the first page, the cursor then shoots back up to the table of contents. WHat I would like it to do is just scroll down to the next page. Once I get to the bottom of the first page the second time, the cursor jumps down to the bottom of the second page, straight to the page number, a few more taps of the down arrow key takes the cursor up to the header on page 2
I'd like the down arrow scrolling to just go through the articles and skip the page numbers and other header/footer items. Any thoughts? Should I take my question to the InDesign forums? Thanks in advanced

That behavior is controlled when Scrolling is selected from the Page Display Toolbar.
You might want it defined in the Document Properties > Initial View, but I am not certain if it is a choice. Experiment with the options.
I am not familair with Javascript in pdf, but that might set the control.

Unable to scroll down to the end of my playlist with i tunes

I must say that I could not be more disappointed with the new i tunes 11. I have been using if for four months and have had nothing but problems which, as I am a professional DJ who uses it everyday, is really bad news. Unlike the old itunes creating playlist is a laborious process. I just bought a load of tunes from the Itunes store for a podcast I have to do but, to create a playlist and drag from another playlist (i.e.purchased) seems impossible. Once one clicks on view sidebar the plalylist disappears so you have to search for every single tune. Can anyone help ? Is there a solution ? I have read the tutorials and have used I tunes for over a decade.To add, now I can't scroll down to the end of my playlists even to click on create or get to any playlist past those beginning with the letter S. I hope someone from Apple sees this as the old I tunes was a far better product. Creating a seperate window for playlist and drag and drop is far easier. If I could find another application other than I tunes I would drop this like hot bricks.Apple have taken a huge leap backwards in my opinion.

Open the playlist. Click View > Show View Options, and set "Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to move songs up or down your playlist by drag-n-drop.

Help!!! Problems with scrolling down on a web page :(

For some reason I can no longer scroll down when on a web page e.g. facebook. Its not the scroller as that works fine when messaging etc. I think it might be something to do with a 'maximised' page maybe and i don't know how to undo it...
Any help would be much appreciated!!

Please Perform a Battery Pull Restart like this While Device is Powered On remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till the device take a long Reboot.And see if that helps.

Select List with Submit refreshes page to top force users to scroll down

Hello All,
I have Dependent Select List where this functionality driving select list submit values to a subsequent select list.
The "Select List with Submit" refreshes page where the unintended by-product is page refresh, which returns to top of page and therefore force users to scroll back down.
In other words: I have a long form page where I have a Dependent Select List. So when you change the value of the 1st select list it refreshes the 2nd. This is all fine, but when the refresh occurs, the Form-focus returns to the top of page. This makes the users scroll back down to the lower end of the Form where they left off. This would make usability problems for users.
Anyway we can make the Form return where to the area(Item or Region) where the user was during the selection of the Select List?

HURRAY!! I got it to work perfectly using anchors. I am adding this message to help future ApEx developers.
I have been searching the Forum for 3 days and have read numerous postings. There was a lot of good discussion on anchors and linking from page to page. But, nothing exactly like my situation.
Situation: Have a page, PG4, with a button, PG4_BUTTON, that redirects to a different page, PG7. PG4_BUTTON has its 'Display In Region' field set to PG4_REGION. When PG4 is run and the form displays, the PG4_BUTTON is located at the bottom. When the user would click PG4_BUTTON, the user would be taken to PG7. (this is good) The user enters some data in PG7 fields and then clicks a create button, PG7_BUTTON. PG7_BUTTON would submit data. An After Processing, Go To Page, Branch would be activated when this button was pressed and then the user would be returned to a refreshed PG4, at the top. This forces the user each time to have to scroll down to the bottom of PG4 to continue. (this is NOT good)
Solution: On PG4, I edited the region, PG4_REGION. For the region 'Title' I added an anchor before the actual name. So it looked like this:

please note: where I have the curly braces above '{' '}' you need to put < the pointed and '>'
Next, on PG7, I edited the Branch. On the 'Edit Branch' page, in the 'Action' region, I changed the 'Target type' field from 'Page in this Application' to 'URL'.
To the 'URL Target' text area field I added this:
f?p=&APP_ID.:4:&SESSION.::::::#REGION_TO_RETURN_TO
