Scrolling in Apps

Hello community,
at SL I can scroll for example in iTunes by 2 Fingers left or right for going back or forward.
In Lion it seems that this possibility exist only in safari? So you have to use the key back and forward instead?

I can no longer scroll through app selections in Genius iPad

I can no longer scroll through app selections in Genius on my iPad in the App Store. I see the first row and half of the second row and cannot scroll. This is a new condition. Landscape or portrait is the same.

Just adding my voice as well.
Had this issue for awhile now. Believe it must have surfaced after last iOS update.
Quite annoying since Genius was a good way to quick browse for new app suggestions.

Scrolling inside app folders?

Why Apple has not yet been made scrolling inside app folders? such as Cydia...
It would be very convenient, the screen will have less "screen-pages"! Now in my iPhone 7 "screen-pages"!
Sometimes i need quickly run an app and i waste to many time to find needed app!
I need scrolling in app folder but i don't want to do jailbreak....
Let's ask Apple to add this feature all together!

If you want to find a app just press the home button when your on your homescreen this will take you to search iPhone then just start typing the name of it and you can go on it from there rather than hav8ing to find it

Quick Launch Desktop get stuck when scrolling Mavericks apps

Is just that, when scrolling horizontally to go to my other apps in the quicklaunch desktop, it get's so stcuked, that event splits the screen in half icons from the left side, and half icons from the right side. Anyone? (MBP 13' mid 2012)

I may not have explained exactly...so basically when i go to the main desktop screen, and open a program or use the dock, it sometimes gets stuck in show mode. Then when i go back to the safari full screen app for instance, the dock stays up, with the latest program highlighted. In order to get the dock to go away, i need to go back to the desktop and hover over the dock again for it to hide.
I really hope someone else is experiencing this because its very annoying and I want apple to fix it quickly

No scroll buttons app store

When searching through the app store, if i get more then 12 hits, the result is diplayed as (for example) 1-12 from 23. I can't scroll to the next page of the hits, because the buttons to do so are missing.
Is there a way to get them back?

I don't have forward or backward icons, I just swipe the screen in order to page through.
Have you tried closing the App Store app completely and seeing if it works properly when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the App Store app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Another option is to try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

Whenever I use 2 fingers to scroll, the app crashes.

I have just noticed that, whenever I try to scroll with two fingers, some apps just crashes, even the system apps.
This just occured today, there was no really aparent reason.

Perian no. But what I read about MultiClutch there too much of an overlap in functionality that I would suspect it. Note also it's still beta software.
It's a prefpane and I believe (I didn't install it) it will add an item to your account's login items. If so delete the login item as well as the prefpane.

Scrolling the APP LIST in iTunes FREEZES UP iTUNES

Repro this: Connect an iPhone or iPad. Go to your list of about 500 apps in iTunes and try to quickly scroll to about the middle. Let go of the mouse button, and then quickly try and scroll back up a little, then down again. Do a few more clicks and drags. The joke is, if your computer is like any of my three PC's I've used for years, YOU CAN'T DO IT. It hangs and freezes up, and ends up taking minutes for iTunes to respond again.
This has been happening since as far back as I can remember. If Apple doesn't know about this, can this feedback help? Because I keep waiting for that to be fixed any day.

I'm adding to this situation as well. I'm running iTunes 10.4 on PC with Windows 7. When reviewing an app in iTunes I can scroll up/down/left/right for a brief time. When I stop movement with the mouse for more than about 10 seconds, the app page freezes. The only response after waiting 5+ minutes is to use the 'left arrow" (previous page) to return to screen before viewing the app. This affects apps only; music, movies, TV shows, podcasts work just fine.
Its mildly irritating to have to plan ahead for which portion of the app page I want to view and quickly get there before it freezes.

Noise while scrolling in App Store and certain other apps?

Doesn't matter whether use trackpad or mouse, I get a slight noise as I scroll up or down. It sounds like a hard drive noise, but I don't really know much about computers so that could be a bit off...

Upon further investigation its the magic mouse, not just safari but noise is there when quiting apps on dock. Its going to stink if i have to take it back just installed logic pro 9 and thats a 4hr ordeal. thanks for reply though.

My screen won't scroll, and apps won't open when touched, but will with double touch. When an icon is touched a black outline surrounds it. Any suggestions?

My iPhone 4s suddenly stopped opening apps when icons were touched. Touching an icon puts a black box around it and it will only open with a double touch, then app will not scroll at all. Also, cannot switch sideways l between home screens. Tried resetting, resyncing, no help.

How can I lock the "Vertical Scrolling" in apps that I've created to turn the articles only in horizontal way? Although there aren't articles in the same file this kind of scroll appears.

I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. She wants to sync her iPod and also backup her iPod at both places. Both PCs have been authorised. Thanks

Where can you get scroll wheel apps and games nowdays ?

They used to be in the appstore once upon a time, and removed because of the ipod gen4s and gen5s which were the most popular at the time are now obsolete. Then only reason whyy I dont upgrade to the latest touchscreeen nano, is that it does not have the video camera which was an awsome extra. But to wish to load some apps on it... there has to be some place on cyberspace where you can still get them.... its a part of history:p

Scrolling within apps

I have looked on many websites and now I don't understand, how am I able to allow the user to scroll? Is it using a scroll bar or scroll viewer? And once I do that how do I layout the design? Is that extend from the phone outline and carry on going down
or am I missing something?

Scroll Viewer is the control u need for scrolling the content in wp. Insert a control container inside the scroll viewer, to enable scrolling in vertical direction enable
VerticalScrollMode
and for making scrollbar enabled doScrollViewer.VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Visible" things

Ipad2 keeps scrolling through apps, safari etc and I cant stop it. What do I do?

I have restored it, and its still doing it.

The Restore should have embraced a Reset but try it again [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

Scrolling App Items Delay

Hi, I have recently starting using the Forceful template and in it there is a web app that scrolls through 4 slides, currently they delay at 3 seconds but I would like to increase that time period.
I am looking for the delay setting please if anyone knows, I can't find it with in the app anywhere.

Help Needed Please

Help w/ fixing my broken ipod touch. I have to double click on an app in order to open it, can't leave the home screen, apps don't work!

I'm not sure what happened, but I can't leave my home screen unless I press n hold an app and move it to another page, then when i press the home button so the apps stop shaking I can stay on another page. Other than doing it that way I can't scroll from one page to another. When I click on an app a thin box appears around it, not only with apps but when I click on the time or battery or ANYTHING! In order for me to open any of the apps I have to double click on it and then when it opens I can't do anything in the app. Even when I went to settings to see if there was something in there to fix this problem I can't go anywhere or do anything. Someone please help!!!

Im having this same problem an my phone is about 3 weeks old. I am not sure about the voice over part though...I have not yet figured out how to work the voice recognition part of the phone...I am such a newbie with this phone. I did the power off/on suggestion, several times. I tried leaving it off for 10 minutes. Tried to reset with the power on/off and home button pressed at the same time. Charged battery. Still makes no difference. You cannot scroll any direction. Have to double click to open apps. Have to double click letters when texting or emailing in order to get the letter in the text box. Can scroll through app choices, have to click on the line with the dots in it and move from page to page. Can't access the settings - > general - > accessibility - because it won't allow me to scroll down to "general".
Anyone help you with your fix yet?
