Scrolling of form

Hi all
I have a form with lots of fields not apear in singhal instance when we are going to enter the data the cursor move one by one when the cursor goes down down but the running form can't scrolled what to do please help

SCROLLING THE FORMS IN THE WEB.

DEAR OTN MEMBERS,
I have a problem in the web. I have deployed my forms in web
using developer server 6.0 and OAS4.0. Now when I am scrolling
down in the browser to see my form's lower half to see(because
the form is big so the lower half is gting hide), my forms get
splitted. Like there are few white lines in the form shich is
cuting it. Then when I scroll up it becomes normal. But as soon
as I scroll down it remains like that. As a result I am able to
see my form's upper half properly and the lower half is striped.
Please help me to solve this problem. I am using the static
method and my Jinitiatpr verson is 1.1.7.18.

A number of folks have had graphics issues with the Retina display model... since you're still under warranty, take your unit to your local Apple Store or an AASP and reproduce the problem for them. They should have a 'fix' - even if it means replacing the logic board - that will be of no cost to you.
I couldn't have put up with that as long as you have...

Can't use mouse scroll within forms

Hello,
I have been working with SCSM 2012 since the public beta was released and I don't know why I haven't noticed this until my analysts said something but the mouse scroll wheel doesn't work within any of the forms.
It will scroll if you put the cursor directly over the vertical scroll bar but if the mouse is within the form its self it doesn't work.
This is one of the most basic functionalities, is there any way to get that to work?
What is it about how the form is designed that doesn't allow the scrolling?
I would be surprised if this is the first post anyone has made about this so if it's a duplicate I apologize.

I can confirm this bug, though if remember correctly, it only applies to some forms, not all. It's been reported on connect already, but please go vote on it:

How can I stop page scrolling to form on loading?

Hello.
My page has a list of services available on it and then right at the bottom there is a form people can complete with name and email to contact me if they wish.
The problem is that this is quite a way down the page and on loading, the page scrolls down to the bottom automatically with the caret flashing in the Name field of the form.
How can I prevent this from happening.

Sounds like you have a bit of javascript adding focus to the form onload.
A link would be best, but if you see something like this in your <body> tag, deleting it should do the trick...

How do you scroll in forms on a Mac?

Okay I just noticed something. On a PC, when Im on a form or something, when I press tab to go from one box to another, it would also go through the drop down menus. But on the Mac, it skips the drop down menus, so I would have to actually use the mouse which is a hassle. How can you fix that?
And also, on the PC, when you have a drop down menu selected, you can scroll through it with the up and down buttons. Like on photoshop, you could scroll through the blending options and see its effects quickly with each one by just quickly pressing the buttons... But on the Mac, I dont know how to do that, I have to click each one indivisually. How can I fix that?

I have just ran into this same annoyance in the layer style panel. I have set my Full Keyboard Access to "All controls", yet it does not retain focus on the drop down.
I can select a Blending Mode in with the mouse but I cannot cycle through the options using shift -/+
Notice that even tho I have the dropdown selected, the opacity slider is the form element with focus.
Is there a way around this?

Almost any activity in Firefox is subject to brief freezing. The freeze lasts anywhere from (approx.) 1/2 second to 3 seconds. I searched online and I came across an article stating the freezes may be due to Anti-Virus software. The work-around presented was to set browser.sessionstore.enabled to false. The idea is Firefox does not attempt to write to a file, and so my AV software doesn't waste time checking if the access is valid. The change had some positive effect. The freezes now occur less often.
However, the freezes still occur every few seconds, still to the point of major annoyance. So what I did was run Process Monitor while Firefox was running to see if the freezes coincided with file accesses. Indeed they do.
I would like to know if I can change a setting which will cause Firefox to not access these files (or files like these) so often:

Scrolling a form

I have a long form (with many input TextFields etc) that is
too long to fit into the confines of the swf. What's the best
approach to use, a ScrollPane? Or is there some way by setting the

JTable interferes with form scrolling

Hi,
I have a dialog with a scrollpane around a form which has many controls. The form gets a vertical scrollbar and I want to scroll the form up and down.
This works fine but I have several tables on the form which if my mouse is over the jtable it (I suppose) tries to scroll the jtable - even though there is no vertical scrollbar on the table to scroll.
How can I get it to not try to scroll the table and instead have the form (jpanel) scroll up and down - like it does if my mouse is over the panel itself.

try removing the mouseWheelListeners from the various table scrollpanes
e.g.
sp.removeMouseWheelListener(sp.getMouseWheelListeners()[0]);

JSF scroller component Frustration why isn't component rendering in jspx.

Based originally on Sun Microsystem's OWN "Components Demo" this tag library is for the custom
components used in the Virtual Sports Trainer Example Demo. Found inside the book "The Complete Reference JavaServer Faces". Which coincidentally was written by Sun's own Chris Schalk and Ed Burns. I"m having problems getting this component to work (render inside a jspx document). Any insight as to why or how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. And I just want to gain any insight or feedback as to why it's not displaying the t:scroller component. Thats all. I'm displaying the jspx document below a SINGLE jspx document. As I know anything more than 200 lines scares everybody. The cusomtom scroll component/pagination is at the bottom t:scroll. I can only display snippets of the jspx for brevity and the character limit.

It's being added like this:

It's being called inside a Component, not inside the main MXML file. So this is not a reference to the application class, but a component. Is that a problem?

Tabular form problems

I have created a default APEX tabular form. Also this page has another form region with some updatable fields. The first region contains the updatable form and second region contains a few editable fields and links.
I have a wide report and user has to scroll to check appropriate row check box for updating. is there way to automatically check the row selection box, whenever user makes a change to any field in that row and update only those rows with checked boxes?.
Sometimes, the user makes some changes in the updatable form (first region) and makes changes to some fields in second region. The user would like to update the second region only (by a submit button) without resetting the values in the first region.
any ideas are appreciated.

First question comments:
I would like to have check box selected whenever the user changes a particular row. The reason is the update form has just too many rows and columns, and sometimes the user scrolls to the extreme right and update some fields there. When the user scrolls to exterme right, I provide duplicate read only column information ( like project number and name on both sides of the form) on the right side also for user to figure out which row he is interested in updating. It would be sometimes difficult for the user to check the exact on left side check box for update. I thought automatic update of checkbox with some "onChange" event might make user life easy and less error prone, as he doesn't have worry about checking the boxes explicitly by scrolling the form left and right.
Second question comments:
I tried some of the AJAX stuff you suggested. The field changes can be AJAX, but when the form in the bottom region is submitted, the whole page is submitted, which wipes out the changes (if any) in top updatable form. is there way I can save those those updatable form changes to a temporary buffer and refresh them eventhough the bottom region is submitted?

Opens a form with the middle part not the header section

i am using forms 9i.
i have a form (Form 1) whose windows size is 800X600 which is scrollable .
In Form 1 at the below (end) i have a button on cllicking which Form 2 is opened.
but Form 2 is not opening with the header section. it is opening with the below section.
Form 1 has the many item and at the end a button is avaliable say
employee Details
on clicking this button it has to open Form 2
Form 2 has the following items in it
Name:
Id:
Department:
experience:
Personal details:
on clicking the button it should open the form from the Name item right. but it
opens with the item experience . i have to scroll the form to see the header section .

ya i have given go ittem (Name);
its working. That is control goes to that item (that item is enabled as blue) but then as it opened we can see items only from the description field. To see the name field which is on top of the form and which is in focus(due to the go_item), we need to scroll up using the browser scroll bar. Our understanding is that since the forms is running as an applet in the IE browser, do we need to do some setting in any of the config or environment files so that the form will always open with the top of the form visible to the user? Please advise.

How to put Form tag inside PlaceHolderUtilityContent

I created a page layout (using design manager), and my design has <form> tags in it

and Ive read that HTML file cannot contain <form> tags here -

It says that I should put the form inside the PlaceholderUtitlityContent placeholder





My question is where do i insert my form block in the snippet above?

Instead of putting <form> tag in layout page, you can place it in the master page.
<body scroll="no">
<form id="Form1" runat="server">
Here place all the place holders
</form>
</body>
and then refer this master page in Layout .

Rendering artifact problem on scroll

Hi forum
I have built a forum manager and all is well and good, except there seems to be a problem with artifacts when scrolling the form. Screenies below:
This is what it looks like before any rendering problems
Here you can see its rendered incorrectly when i've scrolled around.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Its worse on some browsers and on older machines. Is there a way to stop this or reduce the risk of it happening?

I have been struggling with this problem a lot as well. Exactly the same. And I can't find toot anywhere about it.
I have found that setting your wmode to "window" fixes the problem for me. I see no rendering artifacts at least. However that isn't an option for me in my current situation since there are other elements on the page that must be renderered on top of the player.
If you have figured anything else out then I would be very very interested in knowing how you got it fixed!
