Scrolling sticky navigation

Hi All,
I've tried to implement a scrolling sticky navigation menu on a draft of my site but with no success.
I've been following the below tutorial.

I create a horizontal menu and place in the header in the centre. I've made sure to create this on Layer 2.
I select the menu and go to Scroll FX, fixed the motion numbers to what is suggested in the video and drag the key point to 0px.
Bt when i preview in browser or preview mode the menu is placed the left of the page and jumps to the right as i scroll down.
I read somewhere that sometimes there can be random text or image boxes or frames that can intefere with the scrolling so i selected all and had a look around but there are no weird floating frames anywhere. I even deleted the page and started again simply yo make sure it doesn't happen but it's still happening!! Even when all i've got on the page is the menu bar.
Has anyone tried this before and could help?

Make sure the proper direction is used, the default scroll is set to move left to right as shown in the red box.
Make that "0" and choose the motion above which is up pr down, indicated with the green box. Clicking on the up arrow.
Make sure your final motion is set correctly also.

Youtube widget and Sticky Navigation Bar

The pictures below include my sticky navigation bar that Should overlay all other objects in the muse webpage. It does this with all objects, except for the youtube video placed by using the widget object.
How can I resolve this issue? Youtube is the last object in the layers menu.

Scroll bar navigation w/mouse very erratic - not good

Doing the kind of work we do, we navigate around imagery @ high magnifications using the scroll bars on the bottom and right side of a floating image window. I just discovered that this single-click-moves-one-screen view behavior that we have grown to depend on in every previous version of PS is broken/erratic/not reliable at all in CS6.
On my pc I'm using a Logitech G500 gaming mouse with programmable sensitivity, so I thought that might be the problem. But my coworkers (we have 5 additional CS6 installs at the moment, all up to date) using standard Dell mice are encountering the exact same problem - if you do not tap the left click with just the right pressure the screen will advance TWO places - or sometimes not at all. A normal mouse click will advance the screen two places. My pc has a different video card that the rest as well, and I've tried the basic, normal advanced and no GPU support NO change in this behavior.
This is a real deal breaker AFA getting CS6 integrated into our shop. I can grudgingly put up with some of the pointless UI changes made in this version, but to have such a basic and essential navigation tool busted 'out of the box' on 6 different computers is totally unacceptable.
Any help would be appreciated...

Sorry, didn't see your thread until now.
If you click on a scroll bar in Photoshop CS6 it will immediately repeat without waiting the normal amount of time before repeating, which yields multiple page scrolls.
This seems to be a departure from more or less standard UI behavior of the past, where there is a slight delay before the repeat starts - though Photoshop isn't the only application to do it (Internet Explorer is another offender). It's been known since Photoshop CS6 was first released. I believe it may even have been reported in the public beta. I wouldn't bet that this isn't the intended behavior.
A workaround is to click the mouse right next to the scroll thumb, which will result in a one page scroll operation.
Note: It may be that a configurable delay value somewhere in the system is affecting the timing. I have purposefully shortened several delays on my system to make it more responsive, so what I'm seeing may not be what people see in the general case.

P.S., I can pretty consistently reproduce the problem where it won't scroll at all by clicking in the scroll bar (causing a page scroll), then clicking again soon thereafter.
P.P.S., I just re-tested: I can reproduce the expected behavior, including a short (near half second) initial delay and consistent response to clicking with Photoshop CS5 on this same system. Photoshop CS6 definitely degrades the scrolling experience.

Scrolling/fluid navigation bar

Hi all.
I'm trying to achieve something like this and have no idea where to begin.
navbar has
A|B|C|D
click on C bar slides and you get
C|A|B|D
click on D bar slides and you get
D|A|B|C and so on.
Help or a link to help is much appreciated.
any ideas on direction i should take?
I've tried some various things with linking buttons to animations inside movie clips but i just don't think i'm even on the right track.

Don't mess with the code. The correct answer in this case is to use Scroll Effects.
Select the navigation bar (menu widget).
Set the before scroll motion to zero for horizontal and 1 for vertical.
Set the key position to be the "y:" location of the top of the navigation bar.
Set the after scroll motion to zero for horizontal and zero for vertical.
In this way the navigation bar will scroll normally until its top hits the top of the browser window, then it will stop scrolling (vertical scroll motion zero) and stay at the top of the browser window.

Why is my Mouse scrolling sticky?

Scrolling is sticky only on Firefox 7.0.1 browser.

Disable / hide ALV scroll bar (Navigation Pane)

Hi, you can use the table configuration to control this. set_visible_row_count to -1.
data:

Sticky Navigation Link technique

I would like to make a dreamweaver template friendly menu
where the current page is highlighted. For example, if the menu
has: Home About Us Contact Us. When the visitor is on the Home
page, the Home link is dark blue bold, when they surf to Contact
Us, that link is now dark blue bold.
I am sure this is easy, and there is an extension or
javascript to do it. But, I do not know what to call it, in order
to find out. Please give me a hint.

For Query 2) Yes, it is possible with Muse:
1) Create a menu bar as explained in the following link:
     Adobe Muse CC Tutorial | Scrolling Sticky Navigation - YouTube
2) Keeping in mind, the same values as the above video; from the Scroll Effects panel, choose "Opacity"; and give it the following values:
     Fade position 1: 0px     0%      (So, initially the opacity of the object is zero)
     Key position 1: 76px    0%      (So, the opacity of the object is zero up till the key position)
     Fade position 2: 77px    100% (As soon as the key position is reached, the opacity will change to 100%)

For Query 3) I am afraid, with Muse, you can apply different states to the object, which will change as soon as you hover on to them. You cannot set transition effects on states.
For Query 4) About sticking the panel groups to the left, this was added in the 2014 release, Muse v7.2 will not allow you to do that. However, you may drag it to a convenient space.
For Query 5) About the issue with the preview and exported html, could you please elaborate the issue a little?
     Also, kindly let me know if the published version looks fine, or has the same issue.

Smooth Scrolling Article, Anchors, and Static Navigation

Hi!
Quick question on a smooth scrolling article:
Let's say I have a very wide article, roughly 30,000 pixels wide with lots of photos, info, etc.. Would it be possible to have a "floating" navigation on top of this wide article?

The article would of course continue via the smooth scroll style.. but those square buttons below: I know I could link them to smooth scroll to a certain % of the page, but what if I want them to be available down there regardless if I keep scrolling right? In a sense, a "fixed" navigation for the page.

What if I have say 20 pages, that are horizontal format. Each one has the timeline at the bottom which links to the corresponding page, such as a month (Jan) for page 1.
The client basically wants a long, seamless sequence of events in a timeline style where when you swipe left or right, they feel connected but have their own images, info, etc., but the background would be seamless. They want a way to navigate between each event via a timeline at the bottom.

Jerky scrolling on mobile devices with Muse website

We have just built and published our first website on all three platforms (desktop, tablet and phone) but the vertical scrolling on the Phone and Tablet pages is jerky, and struggles to render the text smoothly compared to other websites when scrolling. All our images are optimised to the minimum size, and the pages are just simple html with images, with no complicated actions or behaviours. They appear jerky across both Apple/Android and Windows devices and also across the various browsers on each device. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?

Thanks for the response.
Since I posted the question, we have solved the problem by removing the sticky navigation bars which appeared to have default scroll effects applied to them. Do mobile devices not like the parallax scroll effects from within Muse, as obviously we would like to reinstate the sticky navigation if possible in the future?

CSS sticky position

I'm trying to create a navigation bar that is initially down the page and as the user scrolls the navigation bar remains pinned to the top of the browser. An example are shown here, in a CSS demo http://demo.hongkiat.com/css-sticky-position/index2.html and then here is a complete website that uses this: http://albanyrisk.com/
On the second example (albanyrisk.com) the navigation bar initially seems pinned to the footer, and then moves to the header when scrolling – ideally, this is the effect I'm trying to achieve.

Sticky Layer?

Hi,
I design a lot of digital products with fixed positioned objects.
Is there a way of simulating for example a sticky navigation in Photoshop? That would be awesome.
Just a checkbox saying "Fixed" on each layer or group to make it stick when scrolling thru the design.
Then everyone would get out of the hassle to build html mockups all the time.

Yes, there are many examples out there. The first that came to mind was vogue.com.
To simulate that navigation bar sticking to the top when you scroll, inside the psd as a layer or a group.

Can't I use my wireless mouse and trackpad in different ways when scrolling?

Well, there is two setting items in system preference for "mouse" and "trackpad", and there do have the checkbox for "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating" and for "Scroll direction: natural". I checked the "Natural Scroll"---- if I may call it this way ---- option and unchecked the same option in mouse setting wishing to use my mouse and trackpad in different ways...
However, it turned out to be a confusing phenomenon like I can only use my mouse and trackpad in the way "Natural Scroll" or the way it used to be. If I double click the checkbox of "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating" to refresh my settings, both my mouse and trackpad will turn into the way it used to be in scrolling while if I double click on the "Natural Scroll" checkbox, both of them will turn into the new way.
At the same time, eventhrough the setting of my mouse has been changed by the changing of trackpad setting, the checkbox in "mouse" is still unchecked and that's where makes it seems like a BUG....
So, is there anybody who meets the same problem? The reason I want to use this two device in different ways is I just don't like to use mouse in the new way, it's unconfortable for me.
And, I use a new MacBook Air 11' and a wireless mouse called Rapoo 6900

I can see the appeal of your desired setup, but is the limitation the inability to "Pair" the mouse/keyboard to more than one computer at a time? (Practically, that makes sense, you don't want to be blindly moving both cursors around at the same time, since you can only see one screen at a time)
You CAN operate bluetooth devices on Windows without pairing-you just need to locate the device each time before using:

So maybe you can pair the Mac version, and just search out the device each time you switch over? (but then you would have to "unpair" it off the Mac too) Maybe you need to write two scripts for each platform: pair/unpair devices.
Sounds like it would be easier to buy two wireless keyboards and mice :P

Select in Navigator - wrong focus in 11g

Hi, when I use "Select in Navigator" Atl+Home in JDev 11.1.1.0.2., appropriate class is correctly found and marked in navigator panel.
But focus is NOT on navigator panel but in combobox with projects: so I can not simple scroll in navigator panel with arrows as in previous version JDev 10.1.3.
Is this a bug or requiered feature?

just playing with this feature in JDev 11.1.1.1.0 and also 10.1.3.3.0 but I getting focus only in project navigator in both. so I think it just navigates to the file - also in older versions

Mouse/Trackpad Scroll Options Not Independent

I'm using 10.7 on a MacBook (late 2008 Unibody).
I am getting used to "natural" scrolling with the trackpad (slide up/page down) with Lion, and understand the reasoning behind it (to match iOS--I have an iPhone, so I'm already familiar the the slide up/page down scrolling). However, because of the behavior of scroll wheels on many computers I encounter frequently and habit, I want to keep my scroll wheel with the traditional setup (scroll wheel down/page down).
When I go into System Preferences->Mouse and uncheck the "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating" box, the mouse returns to traditional scrolling (down/down). Unfortunately, my trackpad now starts behaving in the same manner (down/down), even though the "Scroll direction: natural" box in the remains checked under the Trackpad pane (it should operate up/down with that setting, but doesn't). If I quit System Preferences and then relaunch it, the "Scroll direction: natural" box is now unchecked, even though I did nothing to it. If I recheck it, and then immediately go to the Mouse pane, the "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating" box remains unchecked. However, both trackpad and the mouse now use the "natural" (up/down) scrolling, when only the trackpad should. If I quit and relaunch System Preferences, the box in the Mouse pane is now checked, even though I did nothing to it.
It seems that the scroll preferences for the mouse and trackpad should and were meant to be separate and independent, since they each have the box under their individual panes, but they are not operating separately. Are there any ways to fix this so I don't have to change the preferences every time I switch from the trackpad to the mouse?
