Scrolling thru folders

Hello, we have Elements 8 on our old laptop and love the feature that is missing in Elements 9 & 10 where you can scroll thru your pictures in the organizer when the folder view is open without clicking on each folder to go to the next folder. Can you tell me if this will be added to Elements 10 or the next version?

You can turn on fonts in actual type in the AppleWorks preferences.

IPhone 4s updated with IOS 8. Not the calendar will not show a full list of dates. Instead it shows the whole month with the list of the day selected. I want to have my full list back. So much easier to scroll thru when making appointments.

Instead I see the month and below the month are the appointments in a list for the selected day only. I would like the option to have the full list available as it is much easier to scroll thru the list when making appointments.

I can search for an email titile in search bar for my inbox and the email comes up, yet when I try to scroll thru my inbox i cant find it, and I know I just received it. My issue is if I didnt remember the heading I would never find this mail.

I received an email from a business called pops champagne 12/19/2012, and today is 12/20/2012. Today I was looking for it in my inbox and I could not find it.
I could scroll thru and find emails that came in right before and after, but pops is not in my inbox by scrollling. So, I decided to list the title in my inbox search
and it appeared. The problem I have with this is if I did not remember the name of this company I would have no idea how to find this mail. Any help?

The HCM Review Budget Retro page level 2 scroll do not always refresh when scrolling thru level 1

I am able to re-create this in our DMO environment. Has anyone else experienced this and resolved quickly on their own?

You should be able to get some more precise information from your Xorg logs, but I would bet it is related to the evdev driver. Some of the options in your xorg.conf no longer work with the latest version. For now you should be able to either map your mouse directly to the appropriate /dev/event* entry or change to the standard mouse driver, both of those methods should be in the wiki.
You are supposed to be able to use the evdev driver without the input section of your xorg.conf by using dbus/hal autodetection, but AFAIK at the moment the xorg-server package still isn't compiled with hal support, so you would have to patch and rebuild the package.

You can set the time on the computers using the "net time" command in a logon script if you want to be consistant. Set it to one of he servers
like this: net time \\<servername> /set /y
and try the below script:

I have upgraded my mbpro to mountain lion but application "preview" was hang when scroll thru the pdf documents. can somebody help me with solutions?

Can I record my scrolling thru a paused video and make it a video?

Using ISight I record a clip. When I use the mouse and scroll thru the clip while it is paused I get some great effects. Can I record what I am doing and make it into video footage?

Not able to scroll thru text longer than text field in Safari

Though long press and drag seems to work in other apps, in Safari, I am not able to scroll within a text field (when there is more text that the field can show at a time) . E.g on google Search box (web page). Any tips?

HT4561 Finder keeps quitting on me while I am scrolling thru photos, Why?

My finder keeps quitting when I am looking thru photos. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

Most likely a corrupted plist file. Move the com.apple.finder.plist file out of /username/Library/Preferences/ to the Desktop, OPTION-click & hold the Finder's Dock icon and select Relaunch. If that fixes the issue, delete the moved file. If not, create a new admin user account, log into it, and see if the problem persists. BTW, what are you using to view the photos? That app's plist file might be causing the conflict.

IPod keeps scrolling thru "purchased" list; can't play ANY purchased iTunes

I run into this problem every time I purchase iTunes. I go to play a song from the "purchased" folder and my iPod just scrolls through the whole list and will not play any songs. I have to update my iPod to straighten the problem out. Then if I recharge it the problem starts up again. HELP, THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!

Why are icons showing thru folders?

In my dock my app folder my dowload and document folder all has the contents showing thru the folder.

If the Utility folder is the one from the Applications directory, check that the Utility folder is still in the Apps folder and that the desktop one is just a alias (shortcut). If it's a shortcut or a folder you created and no longer need, drag it to the trash or right click it and select "move to trash".
If it's the Utilities folder containing Activity Monitor, Disk Utility, etc then I would recommend moving it back to the apps folder.

Cannot open documents via doubleclick. must navigate thru folders

I am helping an elderly gentleman. Suddenly he finds that doubleclicking on an Appleworks document does not open it. He has to navigate through the Finder-which is slower and confuses him.
IF he reboots his Mac (iMac 17") everything again is ok and he can simply double click..
But then the problem returns and he cannot open the documents again unless he reboots.
Not sure what triggers the problem-it is not a corruption as the problem clears when reboot. Unless some sort of temporary cache or permission is involved?
Slight suspicion this is related to updated Fax software but not sure. (PageSender)
Has anyone had similar problem? Any known application conflicts?

A couple of things might help. Whenever you do an update, & installing software can fall in this category, it's a good idea to do two maintenance tasks, one for the system (Repair Permissions) and one for AppleWorks (delete preferences). (Thanks to Barry for this way to format this very common answer.)
To Repair permissions in 10.4.x, launch Disk Utility, found in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder, click on First Aid, then on Repair Permissions.
To delete AppleWorks’ preference files, go to HD > Users > Library > Preferences. Find and delete the file com.apple.appleworks.plist. Find and open the folder AppleWorks in this Preferences folder, then delete all of the enclosed files (with the exception of the Button Bar Preferences if you have customized the Button Bars). AppleWorks will recreate the preference files as it needs them.
Partly because AppleWorks 6 is actually an OS 9 application carbonized to run in OS X, there can be some confusion between AppleWorks files & OS X because pre-OS X systems don't use file extensions.
Sometimes, merely "telling" OS X that AppleWorks is to open these files will work. Click a known AppleWorks document in the Finder to highlight it & choose Get Info from the File menu. In the Get Info box, click the triangle next to "Open With." Click on this drop-down menu & choose AppleWorks 6. If AppleWorks 6 is not a choice, choose "Other" & navigate to the AppleWorks 6 application. Now click the "Change" button under the text that asks if you want to open all documents like this with AppleWorks 6.
If that doesn't work consistently, you can add the .cwk extension to the file names. This user tip explains how you can add the extension to whole folders of files at a time.

I think I am having the same problem. I am using a macbook pro 15 and this morning it received an OSX update, it is now on 10.10.2. I use Office365 email for work and suddenly I can't use 2-finger scrolling over my inbox list. I can scroll through the email body and there is no problem with gmail inbox.
this is a real pain, when i attempt to scroll it attempts to scroll the whole web page, it doesn't seem to recognise that my mouse pointer is over the list of emails of my inbox.
i hope apple know about this and can fix it.
