SCSM/SCO - Create Change Request Published Data Not Set

In System Center 2012 - Orchestrator, created a runbook that creates a change request using the Create Change with Template object.  When the runbook runs, the change request is created in Service Manager however the objects published data is empty.
I have search online on this error but I have not been able to find the cause of the problem.
Does anyone know why the published data is not being set?

NOTE: I tried to include screen shots, however I am unable to until my account can be verified, sorry.
My test runbook contains two objects, Create Change with Template and Append Line.
Create Change with Template is configured with:
My Service Manager connection
Class is set to Change Request
My specific template name
Fields includes ID which is set to CR{0}
NOTE: The SM Change Request template is a duplicate of the Minor Change Request with a few modifications including updates to the Title and activity, which includes a Runbook Automation Activity.
The Append Line object writes the ID, GUID and Title to a text file.
When I run the runbook, the Change Request is created in SCSM, yet the ID, GUID and Title are empty, see output file below:
   ID =
   GUID =
   Title =
I am expecting the GUID to be set so I can create a relationship between the change request and another object in my production runbook.
As soon as my account is verified, I will reply with screen shots.
Thank you for your help.

  • Create change request

    Hi,
    I have program which change data in tables by the user .
    when the user save his change i want a popup like in sm30 that will ask him to create change request.
    his there any fm that will do this or something else??
    Thanks.

    If an Object needs to be transported from one server to the other then we need a Workbench Request/Customising requests depending on the requirement ie configuration or ABAP related developments.
    If I am not wrong you intend to generate a number so that you can keep track of changes that were done and not to move from one server to another server.
    In such a case just explore if you can generate an external number range and generate one NUMBER each for every change in the table using some wraper program and storing it in a table.
    For generating a number you can use
    CALL FUNCTION 'NUMBER_GET_NEXT.
    Just an idea,not sure how far it is feasible

  • How to create change request

    HI,
    how to create change request for a program and how to compare versions ? how to release the task ? where we create change request ? how to transport it ? who will transport ?
    In real time who creates change request ? developer  or Team leader or Basis mainly in supporting project ?

    The Change Request is that request when you do changes or create a program or configuration in the system. The system will automatically popu with the change request pop box , when you can give request name as defined by the system or can give your own request name with heading of what changes you have made while customization. The system will generate a request number and you save it. (e.g.:- SEDE-2785467) SEDE- means the Clients System name then followed by the system generated request number.
    Now when you want to release the request you have to use the <b>T-code SE10</b> where you can see the requests under the heading modifiable or released. Go to the modifiable option. Each request will have again an internal request number. First you have to release the internal request and then release the external request number. This will in turn released by the basis guys thru the <b>T-code SM64</b> in a group when all the requests are pooled from different users.
    The task  is nothing but the what task you have performed while customizing the client system and the heading name which have given it for that task and generated a request for that task.
    regarding your last question, change request is usually created by the developers or team leader. But the transporting is mostly done by basis.

  • CHARM - Ibase while creating change request document

    Dear All,
    When we open the transaction, crmd_order to create change request, the ibase / component came by default as 0 / 0. I want that field to be blank, so that we can make that as mandatory field.
    regds,
    CB

    Hi Yunus,
    Your probably have changed the transaction type SLFN to a the customer namespace Z or Y. If this is the case you MUST also "Define Mapping Rules for Copy Control".
    Goto SPRO -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Change Management -> Change Request Management -> Extended Configuration -> Change Transaction -> Change Transaction Types -> Copy Control for Change Request Management ->  Define Mapping Rules for Copy Control.
    Once at this point in the IMG make a copy of SLFN -> ZLFN. This will resolve your problem.
    Kind regards,
    Latief

  • Incident resolver can create change request

    Hi,
    I'm currently trying to figure out how to implement security rights into a System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager environment and I'm seeing some strange behavior compared to what's being stated in the documentation.
    For example:
    I have created a user (sm_tier2) which I made member of a group (sm_tier2_users). I then created a new role based on the IncidentResolver role.
    The table states that an Incident Resolver has the rights to create: Incidents, Manual Activity, File Attachment, Work Item Log, User Preference and Personal Notification. (source:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh495625.aspx)
    But, when I go to Change Management and click on Change Request, I'm able to successfully create a Change Request. Which is not something i expect looking at the table.
    I've tested this on 2 separate environments both running System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager.
    Is there any way I can see what a user can do within Service Manager? Clearly the description from the console don't reflect reality.
    Thanks in advance,
    /Kenneth
    http://www.techlog.org | http://www.activewin.com

    I found out the cause of this behavior. It seems that by default the Authenticated Users group is added to the End User role in Service Manager.
    So what you actually get when you configure custom roles afterwards is "rights of SCSM user role" + "rights of End User user role" (since everyone is an authenticated user) - which is bad...really bad... Mainly because from a rights perspective an End User
    can do a lot more than an Incident Resolver for example.
    Next Question now is: What is the best way to handle this situation.
    Options:
    a) Remove authenticated users from End User role and replace authenticated users with groups containing end-users only and absolutely no users which have rights in SCSM
    b) Create a new user role based on End-Users and limit this user role somehow that it can't create Work Items except the ones an End-User really needs (for example create incident from the incident portal)

  • Requested delivery date not copied from quote item to order item

    CRM 7.0 copying from a quote to an order is ot copying the requested date at the item or header.
    For  the Header we are using copying routine SLSHDR and for the item SALES
    There is a date profile assigned to both the quote & item category, these objects are in the date types.
    BILL_DATE                           Billing Date
    INVCR_DATE     Billing Document Created On
    OPP_DEL_DATE     Requested Delivery Date
    ORDERACTUAL     Actual Dates
    REQ_DLV_DATE     Rqstd Delivery Date Proposal - Order Hdr
    VALIDFROM                           Valid From
    VALIDTO                           Valid To
    This seems like it should not be so complicated, we are looking at a Badi for the copy rules but has been challenging to say the least.  It seems like there should be a way to configure (not code) this issue.

    SAP OSS stated functionality not supported, we pushed it back a couple of times.  Even though this is out of the box functionality in ECC copying a quote to an order.
    Our developer was able to code a solution in method IF_EX_CRM_COPY_BADI~DATES, our ecommerce app calls this function when the quote is converted to an order in ISA.

  • Changes in extension data not always sent to CRM Backend

    Hi,
    In a CRM 5.0 ISA b2b scenario we run into a problem:
    <b>Short description:</b>
    Changes in extension data on basket item level are only sent to the backend if there are additional changes to that item (for example a change in quantity).
    <b>Long description:</b>
    We have added an extension field on basket item level and use the standard extension mechanism to exchange this data to the CRM backend. In order to do this we have done the following:
    - On the Java side we implemented MaintainBasketDispatcherAction and ShowBasketAction. The overridden methods are parseRequest() (from MaintainBasketDispatcherAction) and isaPerform() (from ShowBasketAction).
    - In the backend we implemented the BADI CRM_ISA_BASKET_ITEMS and implemented the methods CHANGEITEMS_SET_DATA, CLEAR, GETITEMS_GET_DATA and SAVE.
    We experience a problem when creating an order: When the only thing that changes in an item is our custom field, this is not noticed by the webshop as a change in the item. Therefore the method CHANGEITEMS_SET_DATA isn't called and the extension data isn't updated. If we change another field of an item, for example the quantity, the change is picked up and the method CHANGEITEMS_SET_DATA is being called.
    It seems that somewhere an optimization is taking place where the Webshop decides that unchanged lines should not be sent to the backend. I can't find a way to tell the webshop that the lines are modified (i.e. are dirty).
    Has anyone experienced similar behaviour or does anyone know of a solution?
    Thanks in advance.
    Wilco Menge
    Java snippet:
    parseRequest():
    ItemList itemList = preOrderSalesDocument.getItems();
    String extensionData = "";
    if (itemList!=null && itemList.size()>0)
         for (int i=0;i<itemList.size();i++)
              if (itemList.get(i)!=null);
                   extensionData = parser.getParameter("z_extension_data").getValue().getString();
                   itemList.get(i).addExtensionData("ZEXTENSION", extensionData);

    Hi Pranay,
    I need to add a new field to the ISA item sales order in B2B webshop.
    I'm trying to use the extension field in the ISA basket item.
    I have added a new field in the WEB sales order at item level.
    My collegues have changed and implemented the addExtensionData method of  the ItemSalesDoc JAVA  class.
    Moreover I have implemented CRM_ISA_BASKET_ITEMS (BAdI CHANGEITEMS_BEFORE_ORDER) in the backend system.
    In the BAdI CHANGEITEMS_BEFORE_ORDER  I have copied the extensions data values to the CT_SALES table. Specifically, I have tried to update and change the SUBMISSION field.
    It seems that this new value is stored until the GET method (GETITEMS_GET_DATA) is called.
    Indeed, when the system calls the GETITEMS_GET_DATA method, I read the CT_SALES buffer  using the ‘CRM_ORDER_READ’  function.
    But the new value is no more stored in buffer.
    So if I fill the new field in the ISA item sales order, and I click the ‘update’ button, the new value is no more valued in the screen.
    Furthermore, it could be important to know that I'm working in CRM 3.0 release.
    Do you know why? May you help me?
    Many Thanks
    Best Regards.
    Daniela
