Sculpture Synth: Saving Settings and Folders

Does anyone know how to save your settings into folders in Sculpture? I can't find the settings/presets anywhere in the Finder. I'm stumped....?

Your saved plugin settings will go to:
/Users/YOU/Library/Application Support/Logic/Plug-in Settings/Sculpture/
You can create folders within that and organise however you want, and the folder structure will show up in Logic.

  • Saving settings and RevoDrive 240GB

I am wondering if there is a way to save my overclocked settings that I have stored in the bios before I update it. Also, I have read on the MSI site that the new bios supports the revo drive now...can anyone confirm this before I take out my Intel SSD and try the Revo once again.
I am running a AMD 6 Core with a MSI 890FXA-GD70 and 8 gigs of ram.
    Thanks

Just to update this thread, I did update my bios with 1.8, 1.9, and the revo drive still did not work, it did not show up at all using 1.8 but it did show up using the 1.9 bios, however, after the first bios setup and reboot it disappeared never to be seen again. At this point I am going to revert back to my 1.6 bios that I have all my settings saved in and look for another board that the Revo Drive supports. The Revo Drive is faster than my single SSD so it may be worth the change.
    Case closed for now.

  • Restore account settings and folders

    Hi,
    I'm desperate!
My main email account hadn't downloaded any emails in 2 days and I stupidly deleted the account this morning and then created it again. The emails are now downloading.
However: I had about 20 folders for this account in which I stored important work emails and now all my folders are gone too as I basically created a brand new account.
Is it possible to restore my folders to this account? This is so important to me, I don't know what to do without these folders.
    Thanks for your help!

be very careful with system restores, they are about as dangerous thing you can do with your data. This forum is full of people with horror stories that come from Microsoft recommending a system restore, having said that I am pleased it worked out for you.

  • Protocol for energy saving settings and external drives?

This procedure has bugged me for years. I never really got the answer I have been looking for. Here we go...what energy savings settings do most of you use? Do I allow the Mac Pro to sleep? Do I allow hard drives to spin down? Do I shut everything down at the end of the day? I have an external G-Tech 4 TB Thunderbolt drive for my media. It seems like it spins down multiple times a day if I leave my machine for a while. Do the energy settings have any effect on that drive or is that programmed in from G-Tech? See what I'm getting at? Basic questions, just would to know what everyone is doing?
I will really appreciate any feedback. Thanks very much.
    Best.
    Tom

I don' think there is any right answer to this. Everyone has their own preferred way of working.
I set the computer to never go to sleep. I set the screen to dim after 15 minutes. Never let the hard drive go to sleep, which is of course academic for SSD as they don't sleep like spinning drives. I

  • How to move messages in "Saved Messages" and "My F...

I've just upgraded my phone from 6280 to N73 Music Edition.
To transfer all transferrable data from 6280 to N73, I used PC Suite 6.84.10.4 to backup 6280 and restore it on N73.
Contacts, calendar, bookmarks, messages in the Inbox/Outbox/Draft/Sent Items are all transferred well into N73. However, it's not transferring my messages in 6280's Saved Messages and its user-created folders!
On the 6280 phone itself, I tried to move messages into Inbox but it doesn't work. 6280 only allows moving of messages in the user folders to other folders or the Saved Messages folder.
I have lots of messages stored in my 6280's Saved Messages and folders. How can I transfer them all to my new N73 phone? Would appreciate help.
    Thanks

there you can mark all messages in a folder and copy them to your pc. on the new phone vice-versa.
I've just tried it out. I can select all messages from the Archives or My Folders of 6280 using PC Suite and drag them into a PC folder. This works. However, when I tried to select all messages from the PC folder and drag into Inbox of N73, the messages are not copied.
So, this method doesn't seem to work

  • ITunes Gone Haywire: Playlists, Folders, Settings and more

Hello all. Man...I really need some sage advice in a bad way. I've been trying my best to conquer this major iTunes problem of mine, but ultimately, I have just not been able to find a working solution to fix it. Even my efforts at pinpointing the source of my troubles have been in vain. I've finally become exasperated enough that I decided I be better off trying my luck here. Any help would be very much appreciated.
THE PROBLEM(S): A couple months ago I was working on some music projects within iTunes, when something seemed to go awry, because it promptly started acting strangely, not like it normally did, and that's when I began to experience the problems. It had always run smoothly for me up until then, but it's been giving me major trouble ever since. Here's some of what's been going on:
Playlists gone haywire: My entire stable of folders and playlists has seemingly gone mad, doing all sorts of unfortunate and crazy things. I routinely get new waves of unwanted playlists and folders appearing in my library--some are exact duplicates of playlists and folders that already existed in my library, while others bear the same or similar titles, but are deformed in one way or another. Moreover, I'll often get a bunch of very old playlists reappear--ones that I had long since deleted from my library. Other times I will find that a whole bunch of the lists and folders have suddenly disappeared again, or sometimes their location will change. The worst of all is when, as happened a few times, I just completed a bunch of changes and modifications to the library's folders and playlists, or I was working on a music project in some lists, and then suddenly it all disappears into thin air a short time later (after a reboot of iTunes, for instance).
    B) iTunes Library Files (itl, xml, genius, extras, and sentry): They refuse to nest in the main iTunes folder location they are supposed to reside in. Instead they insist on taking up residence in my Previous iTunes Libraries folder. I tried a few strategies I had come across here in the pages of the community, but none has worked to date.
    C) Unstable Preference Settings: At least a few times I've logged on to iTunes to find that my usual settings and preferences have completely changed, causing problems. Sometimes it will change my iTunes Media folder location in Edit>Preferences>Advanced to another location (like to my Previous iTunes Libraries folder location), thus creating a new hierarchy of media folders therein. Also, my settings in View keep changing back and forth, my sources in Edit>Preferences>General had changed on me one time, and more.
    MY CURRENT SETUP
-My PC: Dell Inc. Inspiron 580, Microsoft Windows 7 x64 Home Premium Edition, Service Pack 1 (Build 7601)
    -iTunes 11.1.3.8
Library Size: 335 GB, 24,734 files, 13,056 folders
    I'm an iTunes Match subscriber.
Current iTunes Media folder location via Edit>Preferences>Advanced tab: C:/Users/Dowgiert/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media. Both "Keep iTunes Media folder organized" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library" are currently checked.
    Current folder path
Titles iTunes has chosen for my library files it uses: iTunes Library 2013-10-25 Extras, iTunes Library 2013-10-25 Genius, iTunes Library 2013-10-25 (.itl), iTunes Library 2013-10-25 (.xml), sentinel *See screen shot below.
Current location that iTunes uses for my library files (database .itl file, genius file, etc.) is: C:/Users/Dowgiert/Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries. The folder paths for these same files are: C:/Users/Dowgiert/My Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries.
-I also have an iPad 2, and a couple other iPods (classic and Nano). None of these currently has the iTunes library in the desired state (thus ruling out importing from them).
    WHAT I'VE DONE SO FAR
-Backed up my library with SyncToy 2.1 (x64)
-I downloaded iTunes Folder Watch, however it doesn't seem to work until I fix the location of my .xml file.
-I've tried countless other fixes, changes to my software and PC, etc., but I won't list them all here now. Feel free to ask me more.
    WHAT I'VE NOTICED
-It seems like these unpleasant library changes are often more likely (but not always) to coincide with one of the following: an iTunes update; an iTunes Match update; a Genius update; an iTunes shutdown, followed by a later restart of the program.
Again, thank you so much for any help. I'm really stuck. I have all sorts of other information at the ready, so feel free to ask if you have questions.
    Forest

Hello again Mr. TuringTest2! Continued thanks for your help sir! I've long suspected that iTunes Match was partly responsible for my troubles, by the way. Let me update you on what's going on.
    New Steps I've Taken:
-After your last response, I did the readings (thanks!), and then began by turning off my iTunes Match. From reading the post you provided on resetting iTunes Match, I got the impression that my order of operations should go as follows (please correct me if I'm wrong):
    1st) Disable iTunes Match. [Completed]
2nd) Clean up my library [Started, but not completed*]
3rd) Try the Shift+ start iTunes Match technique to try and successfully clear away any harmful entries that might be saved in my Apple iCloud/iMatch database. [Incomplete]
4th) Restart iTunes and turn iTunes Match back on. Determine if the problems continue. [Incomplete]
    *UPDATE: STEP 2 INTERRUPTED
I began clearing, moving, and modifying the playlists and folders that were the unwanted end-products of my recent troubles. I was making good progress cleaning up: Went from 258 playlists (regular) down to 200, and from 67 folders and subfolders down to 27. I hadn't yet deleted any of my 56 smart playlists, but did place them all into one folder (to organize them for later cutting).
Then came the hiccup. I didn't know clicking the button seen below on my account page would automatically turn iTunes Match back on, but it did:
Match ran it's usual 3-step process, and in just a few moments, undid the almost all of the aforementioned progress I had made. Of course, as it seems want to do, it added back a whole bunch of trash playlists and folders.
I ran a couple of your scripts to assess the damage. They showed that just by this accidental restart of iTunes Match alone, my library ballooned from 200 reg playlists/56 smart lists/27 folders, all the way up to new totals of 264/64/47!
When I returned to the problem today, first thing I did was turn iTunes Match off again. This resulted in dropping the totals to 235/63/47. I found that odd, so I did some more testing--turning Match on and off, each time recording the results. Here's all the recorded results in total numbers of regular playlists, smart playlists, and folder counts after each change:
    Off:     200/56/27
    On:     264/64/47
    Off:     235/63/47
    On:     285/64/48
    Off:     256/63/48
    On:     306/64/49
    Off:     277/63/49
I ran your PlaylistToFile script each time after I turned iTunes Match off (it wouldn't run when I had Match on for some reason) and made copies of the results. I wanted to be able to see the specific changes being made each time, and to try and determine which specific playlists and folders were acting up. I you think taking a look at these results would be useful, I've copied them into a shared google document you can access at the following link:
    -https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ESzfCpcO14krXp5sTQdMke0CpFDF--gbwVxrGaNmbgw/ edit?usp=sharing
I also noticed that iTunes started creating more backups of my library's database files within the Previous iTunes Libraries folder. Here's an image of the new ones:
Also, it appears iTunes created new .itl and .xml files in my main iTunes folder (see below). Or at least that's what the "Date Created" info column says. What up with that? Also, I still have the Trash folder here that you told me to set up, and a couple new .tmp files have appeared. Here's how it looks:
What do you think I should do tt2? If I had completed the four steps (outlined at top) without accidentally turning on Match before I all four were completed, would that have fixed the problem? Should I do something different, or in a different order? I'm all ears. Thank you so much for all your help!
    Eternally grateful,
    Forest

    Hello dancetoday07,
Let's see if we can square this away for you. With backing up your iPhone, it will back everything you have using iTunes and if you use iCloud, by default, backs up everything. After you have made a backup you can restore that to put the contents of the backup on your replacement iPhone. If you want to put certain things back on, you will at least need to export the content to your computer, like your photos and videos. If you only want to put certain things back on, then you will need to sync that over with iTunes. All the information you will need are in the articles below.

  • Saved Digital ID to desktop, all desktop files and folders immediately vanished from computer

I was signing a document in Abobe Reader, and instructed to create a new digital ID in order to do so.
when I did this, I chose to save the digital ID to the desktop, replacing whatever its original destination to be saved to was.
when I hit finish, every single file and folder on my desktop vanished from my laptop (Macbook air running OSX Yosemite) completely. I have searched everyone and gone through a live chat with an Apple specialist who has had access to my screen and cannot find anything. All files and folders, music and photos that were not on my desktop are still here. I have tried re-starting.
Does anyone have any idea what has happened and how to fix it? I am a graduate student and part of my dissertation was on my desktop. I am an idiot for not having backed it up properly, and will be buying an external hard drive and using Time Machine immediately.

    Hello Elizabeth,
Thank you for contacting Adobe via this forum and other correspondence.
I see that Adobe Support has contacted you directly and is working with you on this issue.

  • How to Make Sent and Deleted Messages Get Saved in the Folders of My Choice

On my iPhone, under Mailbox Behaviours, I can select specific mailboxes on the server where the Sent, Deleted and Draft messages will be saved. However, I could not find this feature in Mac OS 10.6.2's Mail application; instead, these mails are saved in default folders created by the program. How could I change this behaviour so that these e-mails are saved on the server, in the folders of my choice? Thanks.

you can do it in in Mail too if your account is IMAP. select a mailbox you want to use for Sent in the IMAP section of your account in the lower section of the sidebar. then go to mailbox menu->use this mailbox for->sent.

Well, your profile info says 10.4.11, and you are posting your question in the iMac (PPC) category.  If you are running Snow Leopard, it must be a fairly recent Intel iMac.
In that case, you should definitely post your question here
    https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/mac_os_x_v10.6_snow_leopard
where other Snow Leopard users can see your question.  Restate the problem, what error messages you get, and what you have tried already (for trouble-shooting).

  • ITunes 9 - Home Sharing Settings and Saved Game Data?

The new "Home Sharing Settings" feature to automatically transfer applications from one home computer to another is great. However, it seems like there is a huge omission with this feature if you can't transfer your game settings and saved data when you use this option as a way to change computers to sync an iTouch or iPhone.
Here's my scenario: originally had iTunes on a Windows PC to purchase and sync up my iTouch. Recently bought another iMac and want to use it as my "master" computer to sync up my iTouch. Used the Home Sharing Settings feature to quickly copy all of my songs (with ratings) and apps from the PC to the Mac. Everything great so far.
Purchased a few more apps in the iTunes store on the iMac. Plugged in the iTouch to copy the new apps, but of course it wants to delete everything and start over (to be expected I guess). But with that I assume all of my saved game data in my 50+ apps will be lost!
    Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I've now authorized my laptop with my fiance's itunes account and my personal iTunes account, this is key.
I'm now able to transfer songs from either her laptop or my iMac (where my music is stored for now) as long as the current logged-in Home Sharing account is active. So it's basically like logging into an ftp server, only one connection allowed at a time.
So just turn off Home Sharing and then turn it back on again, re-enter the other systems iTunes account info and there you go, you can transfer from that one now. Of course this would be simpler if you were just merging two computers/accounts instead of adding in a 3rd laptop like my experiment. You should just have to make sure all computers involved (up to 5) are authorized for all the iTunes accounts involved.
And yes using the settings button with in the home sharing window, you should be able to automatically sync any new purchases from the current shared account, music, movies, apps, etc.

  • Privacy settings data - is it safe to delete saved passwords and offline website data?

    As above.
Privacy > settings > data - is it safe to delete saved passwords and offline website data? Or can this permanently delete my passwords and I won't be able to access the websites again?

By deleting passwords, you permanently remove them. But if you remember the passwords from elsewhere (eg. your head) you can log in to these sites later, and make Firefox to remember the passwords again.

Hi: I got my ipod in 2011 and synced it to my old computer. The music that Is on it is from imported cd, so I cannot transfer purchases to my new computer. I also want to keep the settings, favourites, folders, and information that is on my ipod. How do i sync it to new computer? Please Help.

You will also have to copy the iPod backup file to the new computer and then restore your iPod from backup using that backup. The file is located here:
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: If you do not see the AppData or Application Data folders, you may need to show hidden files (Windows XP,  Windows Vista and Windows 7), or iTunes may not be installed in the default location. Show hidden files and then search the hard drive for the Backup directory
You can also  make a backup on the new computer by conneting the iPod and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting BackUp. When you retore from backup sometime the app folder structure get messed up.

  • Method of saving email accounts and folders?

I want to save my Mac Mail email accounts and folders to an external drive. I note that in User/Library, there is a Mail folder.
If this folder is saved will this do what I want?
If I find corruption in my email accounts or in the emails themselves, would the proper way to reconstruct these be: a) to drag and drop the external drive saved Mail folder into the directory, or b) is there another way to reconstruct these files without losing them or doing more damage?
    Thanks

That would be expected behavior if the email account you removed was an Exchange account. Contacts connected with an Exchange account are only synced to your phone as long as the account is on your phone.
