SCULPTURE: Tuning BUG!!! -A MUST TO FIX-

In LOGIC 9.1.7 I usually use SCULPTURE for my non-western projects, but I encountered a strange behavior in Logic especially when I try to use Mirco-Tuning:
File > Project Settings > Tuning > Arabic, empirical or User
I play in legato mode, sometimes the micro-tuning get stretched to the next lower or upper adjacent notes…. Actually, the micro-tuning MUST be fix in the note where it's set to but not/never stretched to the next note after it or the note before it!
Please APPLE, may you fix this in the next update?
     Thanks.

thanks, but as soon as i unplug the ac adapter, the batter drains in less than two minutes.  this is my third battery and second ac adapter.

  • Question about a bug which should be fixed in the 10.2.0.4 patchset

    Hi,
We have a 10.2.0.4 single instance database on Sun Solaris SPARC (64-bit) and have the same symptoms as described in Bug 4643723 (error codes and the stack trace are the same). That bug should be already fixed in 10.2.0.4 patchset.
Does anyone have experience on how to proceed in such cases - I mean, is making a SR on metalink an obvious action?
Is it possible that the patchset wasn't applied correctly although "opatch lsinventory" outputs that the "10g Release 2 Patchset 3 (10.2.0.4)" is installed and SYS.REGISTRY$HISTORY also contains a record of the upgrade. The upgrade from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4 was performed 6 months ago and the database was continuously up and runing till then.
    Thanks for any answers

many bugs can have the same errors. Raise an SR.
Oracle Support will ask for an opatch lsinventory, and may ask you verify library versions, or relink.

  • Story does not correctly export fdx file with scene numbers? Bug needs to be fixed.

Story does not correctly export fdx file with scene numbers? Bug needs to be fixed.

Okay, Even if i remove the scene numbers from Story and export the file to Final Draft 8. The format in incorrect. The "transitions" ex. CUT TO:  are not in the correct allignment. Also there are numbers on each of the dialogues
Pretty much alot of the formatting is not the same. Spaces  that break dialouge and action which are there in Story, are not converted over to Final Draft.
Please fix this as soon as possible.

You explicity claimed that "all 400 stations are missing" in Apple Maps. I only needed to locate one to prove you wrong. Instead, I proved you doubly wrong. I didn't realize I needed to prove you triply-wrong. Oh well...
Naming subway stops is not Apple's responsibility and obviously not London's strenths. The pin shows the general location of "hammersmith".
Okay I am in Holloway road, where is the nearest station to me?, if I don't know the name I cant find the station.  I know there are 6 but Apple does not show any of them
When I enter "holloway road london", I get a bunch of pins and the first one that automatically gets selected is the subway station. Since that is one of "any of them", you have been proved wrong 4 times over.
Etre have you ever been out and used walking maps? I think you need specsavers
Do you actually own an iPhone? Are you aware it has GPS? Have you really ever actually tried it? Because when I manually nagivate to one end of Holloway road and search for "underground", I get this:
Strangely, if I go to the other end of the street and do the same thing, I get an entirely different station:
I wonder what would happen if I did a similar search for "underground" while zoomed in on the "hammersmith" pin?
Well what do you know? But how would I ever get there? Hmmm, you mentioned "walking maps". Maybe I should try walking directions from "hammersmith" to one of the underground stations.
By my count, I have proved your anti-Apple Maps misinformation to be wrong 6 times over. Wanna try for a lucky seven?

    Ranked in order of annoyance:
    1. Takes longer to charge I would say almost double
    2. Battery life is worse with use, standby seems to be the same. WiFi radio definitely uses way more than it used to. I used to leave it on and always leave it off unless needed.
    3. Scrolling on flash sites very slow.
    4. We already had flash "lite", flash 10.1 does not seem to be any better at all.
    5. Crammed more bloat ware onto the device.
    Pros: (no order)
Device is faster just a tad, but not enough to justify the loss of battery
    Flash light app is good
HD recording seems about the same as my other 720 so its just nice to have it
App to SD is not really a benefit with Incredible because we have so much app RAM on the device anyway
    Auto update from Market
    Chrome to phone is great!
Wireless N is good but really no benefit due to battery use
    New voice search/integration
    That's my 2 cents

  • When Apple releases a new OS (such as Lion), is it fully stable or it has bugs that will be fixed further?

When Apple releases a new OS (such as Lion), is it fully stable or it has bugs that will be fixed further?

Nothing is fully stable when released.
What I wouldn't recommend is upgrading it if your not prepared to deal with bugs and/or changes.  (And you only need to read the forums and complaints for posts about people who are not trying to resolve bugs, but rather a soapbox for changes that they do not like)
In a professional world, upgrades are tested before we release them to labs or desks - which means we apply an upgrade to our images, see what works, what doesn't and put together a list of things to fix/resolve/upgrade before we push it out.
I have done this where I work, and have a prelim result, but I wouldn't push it out without a *.1 update installed at the least - more so for critical systems, and in terms of images - we would build a clean image for such a major upgrade after the .1

  • TS3642 Is this bug going to be fixed?

Is this a bug that will be fixed in an update of itunes for windows in the near future?  This is a big issue, I am unable to share garageband projects with other users.  We need to be able to share the whole .band folder, and not just the mixdown of the single audio file.

We need to be able to share the whole .band folder, and not just the mixdown of the single audio file.
Then save your song twice to iTunes, once as the mixed down song, and once as a project.
See turingtest2's post here:  Re: Loading a .band file back into Garageband (iPad 2)
You can copy the folder with all the media from iTunes.

  • Reader 9.3.4 - bug, looking for the fix

This reference article (CPS) confirms the bug of which I speak:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/866/cpsid_86693.html#main_9_3_4_and_8_2_4
Acrobat and Reader updates that affect Enterprise workflows
    What's covered
    9.3.4 and 8.2.4
    9.3.3 and 8.2.3
    9.3 and 8.2
    9.0
Some  releases of Acrobat include changes that could affect legacy workflows.  Deliberate changes or accidental bugs can affect the compatibility of a  specific product version and an existing workflow. For example, a  critical security change can require you to configure your clients to  operate a particular way. Or a bug can make it necessary for your  organization to skip a particular dot release.
This article lists changes across releases where those changes could adversely affect Acrobat products in enterprise settings.
    9.3.4 and 8.2.4
Bug:  Interdocument links referencing nonPDF files do not work. When you  click links in a PDF that point to nonPDF files such as .doc, .ppt,  .xls, and so on, then an error dialog is displayed:
"Windows cannot find <name of file>. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."
This problem is only associated with links that launch an  application. Web links do not exhibit this problem. You can identify web  links by hovering over the link and seeing if there is a "w" on the  hover icon.
A fix is currently under investigation.

I believe it was fixed with the 9.4/8.2.5 updates. See page 5 of the following: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83708/attachments/Acrobat_Reader_ReleaseNote_9.4_8.2.5. pdf

  • FCPX undo / auto save bugs + RAM Hog - Possible Fix?

    Hi there FCPX users,
I have a 8-core 2010 Mac Pro with 16GB Ram and the stock GPU running Lion 10.7.2
I have been using FCPX since day dot, and have been overall very pleased with its super fast work flow and realtime capabilities.
I have completed over 100 3-4min edits with average project size of 50GB, and a bunch of wedding edits with approx 150-200GB project sizes. The issues I had with 10.0.0 - 10.0.1  were mainly FCPX quitting unexpectedly.
And now on 10.0.2 I have expereinced the well known auto save / greyed out undo bug. I have gone through all the steps via apple care which included:
Trashing the Prefs, repair permissions, check drive space / correct format, new user account and clean install of lion / Final Cut X.
I am still experiencing this issue. So yesterday I purchased another 16GB Ram totaling now to 32GB Ram, and I monitor the RAM usage via "Free Memory".
I Noticed that if my RAM is running low, I "free Memory" without quitting FCPX and continue to work as normal, and so far I have not yet experienced the issue again.
Dont know if this is a temporary fix, but it has worked for an hour long edit (approx 6-7 hrs without restaeting FCPX).
Also, I have noticed FCPX will eat up 16-20GB RAM quite easliy.
Not sure if this problem is related to RAM...
    My 2 cents.

You have to really be conscious when you start a new project and how and where you manage your footage.
No one has complained more than I have about FCPX's quirky behaviors and it can be frustrating. I have worked with FCPX since day one, even tried to get a refund but couldn't. After using it for a while now, it is very easy to get used to how fast some elements are in editing and reviewing a lot a footage. But several things you have to make sure of that will keep the rendering speed up and less crashing happening.
First make sure that you can see how much space you have on your drives by right clicking in the main window of you screen and make the necessary clicks form the drop down menu. Make sure any drives you have been doing projects with lately are hooked up and do a secure empty trash. Its cool to see how much space you regain. 2) make sure that FCPX, Motion and Compressor (if you have those are installed on your boot drive).
    3) Create a FCPX Projects folder on an external (FW800) with at least 75% of its drive space available if you do not have secondary drive installed in your computer. (Its very important to note that any drive you use for any aspect of editing should never be more 75% full, especially your boot drive.) This is where FCPX will log all of its operating files for all of your projects.
    4) Either copy  all of the other FCPX files from your main hard drive and paste then into the new folder you created. Then delete all of those files, as well as any Motion files too! (Do the same as you did for FCPX in the previous step)
    5) If you need to move all of your music files to another drive as well. If its iTunes, you will have to tell iTunes where to look for the new files and it will populate accordingly. This will free up a tremendous amount of space. Make sure to delete them form the main drive.
    6) Remove any junk programs form the boot drive (main) or move them to another drive if possible.
    7) Now do another secure empty trash and watch your drive space return.
    8) Now open up FCPX and make sure you only create projects on your new drive by clicking on that drive in the project window. Any older projects you can simply pull them to the other drive and you will be prompted on how to duplicate that project and all its files to that drive. Delete the other ones.
    9) Only capture footage to you external drives. Save it there until you need it.
    10) Create all new projects on the secondary drive and pull any footage you are working with on that drive as well. By keeping it all off the Boot drive FCPX will run much smoother and faster, especially if you have at least 16g of Ram, which I recommend.
    So to re-cap:
    1. Keep your boot drive lean. Delete anything you can move to another drive. Do not set up events and or projects to it...never!!!
2 Use you secondary drive for your project files and the video you are working with in your events.
    3. Store raw footage on a FW800 drive ready to move to your secondary drive.
    4. Use secure empty trash after all editing sessions when you are certain of your trash contents.
Doing these things have greatly increased much more consistently faster render times and much fewer crashes.
    iMac 27  -  3.5gh  - 16GB Ram  -  Quad i7  -  250SSD/1TBesata  -  External FW800 Drives
    Good Luck

  • Data Guard Bug, which patch to fix?

It seems as though there is a bug in the Data Guard configuration through the Enterprise Manager. As I'm going through the process of setting up a physical standby database it asks me to specify a working directory. I specify the directory on a disk that has 250GB of free disk space and when I press next it does not proceed. It gives me an error "Insufficient Disk Space".
I googled for a solution to the problem and the only thing that came up was someone that had the same problem. This person mentioned that it is a known bug (3895311).
    Any help would be appreciated!
(This is an Oracle 10g install on a Windows 2003 server).

Great, the patch worked like a charm. I can now proceed. However, 2 steps after specifying a working directory on the primary database host, you have to specify a working directory on the standby database host. And again, I'm getting the "Insufficient Disk Space" bug (now on the standby database host). I applied the patch to the Management Agent ORACLE_HOME on the standby host, but it didn't work.
Should this have worked? Or is this another patch that I must get?
    Thanks

  • Anyone know how to LOAD DEFAULT sound in SCULPTURE? Bug in LOGIC?

Mine does not when I load a new instance. The reason I ask is I bought a training video from N.E.D. and he starts on all DEFAULT settings which has an instrument sound like a weird guitar.
The second question, I noticed when I booted to 10.5.2 vs 10.5.5, I think Logic on the 10.5.2 is an older version 8 (not updated) and what I noticed is, when I double click the track in the arrange window, it opens the mixer, when I do the same in 10.5.5 and double click, it thinks I want to change the track name. Is this a bug or a fix? How do I get it to act like it did in the older non updated version?
    Thanks

...and the answer is indeed simpler than I thought:
As for your second question, I think you should look here:

  • Firmware bug: $CCERT must not be used in Report_Rule

    Prolog
"Report Rule" can be configured with URL's used to save phone's current configuration. Starting with 7.5.2b firmware it is possible to configure more than one URL here. The semi-colon has been used as separator. It caused issues because semi-colon can be used in casual URL, so the separator has been changed to space in 7.5.5 (see Bug in Report_Rule parsing (SPA50x, fw 7.5.x) for more)
As of 7.5.7 firmware, the 2048 certificates has been introduced and value of $CCERT variable may contain text "Installed (2048 bits)". It cause other issue related to Report Rule parsing.
    Issue & how to repeat
$CCERT can be used on "Report Rule" no longer because of wrong parsing order.
The author of firmware first call variable expansion for complete "Report Rule" string, then split the result by space in attempt to found second URL.
With Report Rule configured to https://test.local/Report.php?Product=$PN&CERT=$CCERT it is parsed to:
    first_rule is https://test.local/Cisco/Report.php?Product=SPA508G&CERT=Installed, second_rule is (2048 bits)
It is wrong result. In advance, it reveal the characters inserted into URL by variable expansion are not escaped properly.
    How to fix
The order of parsing steps needs to be reversed. Report Rule need to be split  into parts first, then variable expansion should be called for both parts independently. Also, strings expanded from variables should be url-encoded properly.
    Disclaimer
I will not call SMB support to report this bug to them. Assuming the Cisco is interested to repair firmware bugs a staff member monitoring this forum will create ticked by self. I wish that all relevant information including the depth-in analysis has been disclosed here. I'm ready to provide further details or create test environment if necessary. I'm just not willing to call the Support center as I'm not willing to explain all those complex things described here by phone (and they doesn't accept written reports).
For those non-Cisco-staff users affected by issue - feel free to report the issue to Support center, if you are willing to do it. You are allowed to use information disclosed here, or just refer to this report. I don't care the authorship.

You are not alone on this one, I am having the very same issue as you are and . Everything functioned just fine the last time the application was deployed was deployed and there was nothing changed to any of the reports or code which handles the reports; however, this time I am having the same issue.  I added the parameters to the report to check to see if they were actually being recognized by the report and they do show up, but it refuses to filter the records and brings back every record.  The report works properly if I run it just directly in Crystal though.  I sure hope someone can enlighten us Paul.
Update: Well, I finally figured out what was causing my issue.  The issue had to deal with the actual older version of the CrystalReportViewer control and the newer version supplied by the update.  I had suspected it was something minor that I had overlooked when doing the update.  Hope this gets you going as well.  Cheers

  • Reader stops working when newest GTK2.0 installed - bug report and proposed fix

Adobe Reader 7.0.9 (Linux i386) stopped working when I installed a batch of updates on Xubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04). The updates included GTK 2.0, version 2.10.11. The symptom was that upon startup, Reader ended up in a seemingly infinite loop, printing out "expr: syntax error" (when started from terminal emulator). A few debug "echo"'s revealed that the loop concerned function get_gtk_file_ver().
The bug itself is on line 418. The original line is as follows:
    echo $mfile| sed 's/libgtk-x11-\([0-9]*\).0.so.0.\([0-9]\)00.\([0-9]*\)\|\(.*\)/\1\2\3/g'
    - note that there is no '*' in the middle number-matching regexp, so the full expression matches only strings in which the "middle" group is 100, 200, ..., 900.
At this point in the execution, $mfile contains the name of the gtk library .so, in this case, libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.1000.11. In prior versions (e.g. 2.8.20, which is the current version in Ubuntu Dapper Drake LTS), the minor version had only one digit, and the regexp matched. When the minor version got incremented to two digits, the regexp no longer match because of the missing '*'! As an additional bonus, somehow this leads to the infinite loop (which is *not* good).
A working fix is to add the missing '*' into the regexp. I'd say that a lot of Linux users will be tripping on this issue soon, at least those who keep current on security updates.
I found no sensible way to contact the developers, i.e. a way that wouldn't have to pass a gazillion of customer-service and tech support people, who are most likely just as unaware of the issue as the users...
I hope this issue will be fixed ASAP - after all, it's only one added character, and that'll save a lot of users a lot of hassle.
(and btw, to have the intended effect, the dots in the sed expression should all be escaped with a backslash - now e.g. "libgtk-x11-2.0.sog0.1000.11" matches the sed regexp as well as "libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.1000.11", but this probably isn't too critical...)

The solutions provided here work, but by accident. The script compares 2104 (2.10.4) to 240 (2.4.0) and sees that it's greater. Adobe will have problems in future releases if the minimum GTK release is, say, 2.10.4 and the user has 2.4.0.
I've crafted a more elegant solution, shown here in "patch" format. I think the reformatting and tab elimination done by HTML will preclude you from pasting this into a file and running "patch", but it's pretty easy to read and is short...
