Scxi chassis won't recognize 1163r plugin

I am using a PCI -6221 to connect to my SCXI-1000 chassis. I would like to install a SCXI 1163R plugin but the autodetect does not find it. I believe the jumpers are correct but with my limited knowledge can not be sure, they all are factory default. Card and chassis work fine with other plugins I have. Any suggestions.

Thank you for using our discussion forums.
The SCXI 1163R’s default jumper settings configures the module to be controlled with a Digital IO device.  The PCI-6221 is an M Series MIO board, so you need to change three of the jumpers. 
W2 should be set to M
W3 should be set to M
W4 should be set to A (Default)
W5 should be set to MIO
W6 should be set to S (Default)
Changing these jumper configurations will allow your 6221 to automatically detect your relay module.

    I've tried everythig I can think of. My SCXI chassis was working this Am, I went over to another computer to see if i could figure out why my 1160 board was giving me an error ( I think it was 3044??) I could not get my other chassis to work, and when I went to reinstall the original chassis it now will not recognize it. We did have a power outage 4 days ago, but.....? Any ideas or stuff I should check. I've swapped cables and connnectors and all that. What really is wierd is that both chassis are not being recognized on either of two different computers.

    Is the SCXI-1160 the only module that is not being
    recognized?  If so, what other modules are you using?  Is it
    in the Measurement & Automation Explorer that the modules are not
    recognized?
    Which SCXI module is the communicating module?  In other words, which module is cabled to your data acquisition card?
    What data acquisition card are you using to cable into your SCXI chassis?

  • Elements 8 for Mac.  Won't recognize RAW

    Hi.  I installed Elements 8 on my Mac last night.  All of my RAW images in Bridges were just a blank page with a folded corner.  When I tried to open my cr2 images it told me Photoshops cannot recognize that file format.  I went to the online support and found the Camera Raw version 5.6 download and followed the instructions to load it.  As far as I can tell it is where I was told to put it.  I now have images in Bridge but Elements still won't recognize that type of file.  Raw is also NOT listed as a plugin in the Camera Raw preferences  list, although when I look in Finder it is listed there under file formats for CS4...  I don't know where to go from here.  Any help with be greatly appreciated!

  • Can't configure a SCXI chassis (PXI-1010) with a PXI-8176 and a PXI-6052E.

    I have a PXI-1010 chassis with a PXI-8176 running Windows 2000. In the rightmost PXI slot, I have a PXI-6052E. The remaining PXI slots are either empty or have misc. modules in them. I have a SCXI-1520 in the leftmost SCXI slot.
    I am trying to get MAX to recognize my SCXI chassis with the SCXI-1520. When I try to add the SCXI chassis in MAX by right-clicking "Devices and Interfaces" or "NI-DAQmx", I leave the communication mode to communicate on the PXI backplane, choose SCXI slot zero, and find that the communication device field is greyed out where I want to choose the PXI-6052E. For some reason,the wizard used to add an SCXI chassis does not see my PXI-6052E pluged in to the leftmost sl
    ot. Strangely, MAX does see the PXI-6052E in the "Devices and Interfaces" tree. I verified that the 6052E is working correctly. I also verified that the pxisys.ini file is in the WINNT directory. What is the problem?

    I am first trying to install the SCXI chassis using the SCXI 1520 user manual. I put a PXI-6052E in the right-most PXI slot and the SCXI 1520 in a SCXI slot. On page 1-12 of the SCXI-1520 user manual, it instructs me to power up the chassis, right-click on MAX "devices and interfaces", choose the correct chassis, and click finish. The problem is, after I click finish, a window appears that forces me to choose a DAQ device. The SCXI chassis doesn't configure correctly because the wizard doesn't see the PXI-6052E.

  • Link won't recognize my new Classic

    Just picked up my new Classic today.  As usual, ATT store had no idea it was even in today.  Anyway, I can get Link to recognize the Classic.  I was able to move my data over from my old 9900 but software won't recognize the Classic.  Suggestions?

    Check Windows Device Manager for yellow caution signs for any BB or Rim Drivers and try to update.
    If the above does not help you should uninstall all drivers for BB or RIM listed in Device Manager, click View on the Menu in Device Manager then click Show hidden devices.
    The drivers are usually found in these places, BlackBerry, Disk drives, DVD/CD, Modems (Standard modem only), Network Adapters, Ports.
    Once all are uninstalled unplug your phone if it was plugged in and power OFF your computer (not restart), power ON your computer and wait 5 to 10 minutes before plugging in your phone.
    Once you plugin your device wait another 10 min. before doing anything, BB software is slow and Windows is slow to recognize it so time is needed for drivers to install properly.
    Even if Windows says drivers were installed still wait 10 min.

  • ? MacBook won't recognize external disc drive

    My MacBook's internal disc drive quit, so I'm trying an external Samsung SE-208 slim portable DVD writer.   It worked once, but now the mac won't recognize it.  I tried a DVD switcher app - no luck.  The Samsung plugs into the USB port, starts up OK then disappears from itunes, the desktop, Finder - It's gone. Can I completely disable the internal disc drive?  Would that help?  I appreciate ANY help.   I'm not skilled at these things so you need to spoon feed me.  thanks

  • ITunes won't recognize iPod Nano (1GB, 1st generation)

    I have been having problems Sync'ing my iPod nano with iTunes, however, the more I read help articles and follow the steps, the worse the problem gets. (I'm on a PC using Windows XP)
    I've gotten to the point where I updated my iPod software in Disk mode (up until then it was being recognized only in Disk mode), but when iTunes failed to recognize it when not in Disk mode I preceded to restore my iPod to factory settings, as instructed in the help articles.
    Now, up until then, I still had music in my iPod, and I was being able to charge it and listen to my music even though I couldn't sync the iPod anymore. After restoring, I not only lost my music (which I was aware of), but it STILL did not fix my problem. So I started to get annoyed.
    I then noticed that my iPod was being recognized by My Computer, just not by iTunes, so I began to perform the steps indicated in the following article:

    I restarted my iPod service - no luck
    I removed iTunes - no luck
    I emptied my Temp directory and restarted...
    That's when iTunes stopped recognizing my iPod altogether, not even in Disk mode. Not only that, but it seems to have affected the iPod itself, since it won't turn off or exit Disk mode anymore. So now I'm scared of going though with any more steps on whichever "help" articles and making the problem even worse than it already is (if that's possible).
    The only other information I can provide is that windows is still recognizing my iPod, no problem, and when I connect my iPod, iTunes actually launches... but DOESN'T recognize a thing. So I ran a diagnostics using iTunes and here's what I got (iPod diagnostics):

    My IPod Nano will charge when connected to my computer but it won't come up on My Computer or iTunes. So I can't update the songs. I've already tried reseting the iPod. Does anybody know what I can do to fix it.

    I understand that your iPod classic is not being recognized in iTunes when you connect it to your computer. I know you have tried some troubleshooting on the Apple website as well, but without knowing which steps you have completed, I would suggest working through the attached iPod classic Troubleshooting Assistant.

    I changed my Apple ID to my new email and now cannot find any way to access icloud. Unfortunately I had allowed icloud to hijack my airbook files, so of course I am afraid I will lose them tomorrow when I exchange my iphone for a new one and cannot keep an icloud account i cannot access.     Printer quit printing wirelessly.  Using the control panel on the printer, I restored defaults.  Now it won't recognize any wireless networks.  I have unplugged computer, but that didn't help.  I don't want to unplug my router, because I will lost all my DVR items (we are on AT&T uverse).  Any tips?

    Run a Wireless Network Test from the Network menu of the front panel.  What does it say?
    If everything is OK (which I suspect), re-install the printer with the temporary use of a USB cable just as you did originally when you installed it.

    I bought this wireless printer last week (5-13-14). I have a working printer that was connected to my husband's work laptop via USB cable, but needed one to connect to our family computer, which is in a different room with the modem/router. My husband travels for work, so I want to be able to print without disturbing him and while he is away on business. I turned the printer on and connected it to my network with the password and printed out the network settings and the wireless report. There are about 8 other wireless networks in range of my printer (we're in a residential neighborhood), but we aren't having a problem with it connecting to someone elses stuff. I went online to download the driver software and it downloaded fine. I clicked on the desktop icon to launch the control panel for the printer and it opened up for me to install the printer. I went through every step and it won't recognize the IP address or the name of the printer, and therefore won't open up for me to do any scanning. Both the printer and PC are connected to the same network, but they won't recognize each other when it comes to going through the HP software to scan or print. I can go into word or something to print and it will let me print wirelessly, but it won't do anything from the control panel of the print software because it thinks the printer hasn't been installed. I've had Windows 8 on this computer since I bought it in 2012, but I have the computer defaulted to go to my desktop instead of the start screen, so I don't know if that makes a difference. I am going to go ahead and remove the device and uninstall everything so I can try again later. If I had known this was going to be a problem, I would have not bought the printer and just kept on doing what we'd been doing.

    I understand you are having some troubles getting the Envy 5530 printing wireless on Windows 8.1. Are you able to take the I.P address of the 5530, type it into the address bar of your web browser and hit enter. Does it load a page about the printer?
    Run the Print and Scan Dr to see if it can clear up the scanning issues if you can view that above page.

    I have mobile me account now and so my apple id is switched from my email address to my mobile me address.  Since I have made this change I can't update my apps. Everytime I try to sign in it won't recognize the switch. I have updated all the proper information on my iphone, however, when updating apps it still shows my apple id as my email address and not the mobile me account address. I am not sure what else to do???  I have even sync'd my iphone and tried to do it through my pc, however, it says that it can't update (nothing to update). I have ten updates sitting on my iphone apps...What to do...what to do?  Very confused.

    Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
    Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
    If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
