SD  and MM FLOW with example

Hi friends,
Can any one tell me the SD and MM Flow with respect to company and customer like what the company and customer will do in various stages?

hai  Reddy,
SAP Sales and Distribution Processing Document Flow
Document Flow in Sales
The sales documents you create are individual documents but they can also form part of a chain of inter-related documents. For example, you may record a customer’s telephone inquiry in the system. The customer next requests a quotation, which you then create by referring to the inquiry. The customer later places an order on the basis of the quotation and you create a sales order with reference to the quotation. You ship the goods and bill the customer. After delivery of the goods, the customer claims credit for some damaged goods and you create a free-of-charge delivery with reference to the sales order. The entire chain of documents – the inquiry, the quotation, the sales order, the delivery, the invoice, and the subsequent delivery free of charge – creates a document flow or history. The flow of data from one document into another reduces manual activity and makes problem resolution easier. Inquiry and quotation management in the Sales Information System help you to plan and control your sales.
The following graphic shows how the various types of sales documents are inter-related and how data subsequently flows into shipping and billing documents.

To create a sales order we need purchase order number and custmer number. Before that, to create a purchase order we need to have material no, vendor no.
To create vendor tcode is
xk01(create), xk02(change) , xk03(display)
Tables are lfa1.
To create custmer tcode is xd01, xd02, xd03.
Table is kna1.
After creating sales order using this no we can create delivery note tcode is vl01.

It really depends on the company and their business process. Generally though:
Purchase Requisition (user reqests stuff, either for manuf/stock, or supplies). -> then the PReq would go through an approval process (Release Strategy). Once approved, one can either create a Request for Quote (RFQ) to multiple vendors to obtain the best prices - and/or create the Purchase Order (either directly from the PReq or from the RFQ).
Once the PO is created -> then a Goods Receipt is necessary (to indicate you received the goods ordered). Then Invoice Verification (again - if this is set up) - which basically prevents overpayment to a vendor (won't allow you to pay for goods not received through Goods Receipt). Then ultimately the payment to the Vendor.
So - Transaction flow for create (common):
PReq -> RFQ -> PO -> G/R -> Invoice -> payment (?)
ME51N -> ME41 -> ME21N -> MIGO -> MIRO -> payment (?)
Tables for Purchase Requisition:

EBKN - Account Assignment
Tables for Purchase Orders:
EKKO - Header
EKPO - Item
EINA - Purchasing Info Record (oops forgot to mention that above - PInfoRec has the vendor/material/price for future sourcing)
Tables for Request for Quote:
same as PO above
Tables for Goods Receipt:
MKPF - Material Document Header
MSEG - Material Document Item
EKBE - History of PO
Tables for Invoice Verification:

    Hi ,
i need explanation on prerouting post routing and translation rouitng  with examples.can anybody help me out ?

    Hi,
prereouting: call comes in, hits ICM, script is run, telling the routing client (PSTN) where to route the call to (so the call is routed before (pre-) connection, or rather, establishment).
Postrouting: call comes in, is connected and then it hits ICM (so the call is routed after begin connected).
Translation routing is an interesting hybrid: call comes in, is connected but the party the call is connected to, is being monitored by ICM (so it sends the call away but it keeps an eye on it). When it's necessary, call is transferred to a different destination.
    Examples:
Prerouting: PSTN -> ICM (script) -> PSTN -> destination phone answers
Postrouting: PSTN -> call is answered -> ICM -> transfer to destination phone, answered
Translation routing: PSTN -> call is answered -> ICM transfers to IVR port, then transfers to final destination phone (agent).

    hi,
    First understand the process flow.
1.u r purchase manager means that u purchase 1000MT PP material ,this is ur aim
now u get some information from vendor side (like how much Mt?quality, deleivery time etc)
fine,u got 10 vendor list then now select best vendor among the list.
once vendor choosen then send purchase order to that vendor
(how much material and cost and tax all information)
after one week u will get goods from vendor.
u can check the raw material quality is ok or not ok?
finally u accept the goods againt ur po
after 3 days  u will get invoice from ur vendor.
check the invoice amount then pay amt to vendor.
so this is normal procedure for purchase process flow.but depends upon the concern some infromation added.
the same flow , we will follow the sap.
once normal flow clear then come to sap side
    best of luck
    regards

    Hi
Start routine is at a datapackage level and u generally use select statement and delete state ment
transfer routine is at a data source level.
for ex i have an 3 ODS (X,Y,Z) and one DS D and one Infosoure I and a cube C
    flow is DS -
    >IS-->ODS's(X,Y,Z)---> and cube C from ODS X, ODS Y,ODS Z
Transfer Routine:If u write any routine in IS it will be applicable to all the the ODS's when u load data becuase it is at the DS level
start routine: now if u write a start routine betwn ODS X and  a cube it will be applicable only for the Update rule betwn ODS X and a cube it wont affect the Update rules betwn OD Y and cube or ODS Z and the cube becuase start routine is at a datapackage level
Transfer routine is in the IS

  • Regular and Rare tickets with example

    Hi experts
What type of tickets will come from clients or end users regularly and rarely,
1)Tell me What type of tickets we get regularly (with ex. of ticket including solutions)
2)what type of tickets we get rarely like for once in a month (with ex. of ticket including solution)

    Hi,
If you are in a suppot project the most common tickets will be regarding data load issues and reoprt changes.
There will be daily process chains that loads data in BW and you may get tickets to resolve process chain issues.
This will be common and regular tickets.
Users may raise tickets to modify existing reports or to create new reports.
Common report modifications are adding free characteristic to reports, adding characteristics to variable screen of report, adding key figures, creating jump queries etc.
Also you may face performance issue in system ( related to process chains and reoprts).
In such cases you will need to optimize data load and also find ways to improve report performance.
    This belongs to rare ticket.
Also there could be data source enhancement tickets, which may require creating data flow in BW.
Above are just examples and it may vary according to projcet..
    Thanks,
    Vinod

  • About advance receipt and its flow with the Sales Order

    Hi Friends,
I work for a construction client. Here I have a scenario where the client recieves a down payment on the flats from the customers before raising a Sales Order. The query is how does the client attach this particular receipt of down payment to a particular plant (in other words, there are so many buildings under construction, and the customer would make a payment for a particular flat in a particular building and the receipt is to be raised for one particular flat of a particular floor, in one particular building), how do we go about tracking the same.
    Pls suggest.
    Regards
    Soujanya.

    Thank you!
But I get the following message in VL01N:
"No schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date "
    What does it mean exacly?
I have a Confirmed Production Order.
I have a quantity in CSTOCK.
    So, what is missing here?

  • Scheduling Mappings and Process Flows

Can you please tell me how to schedule mappings and process flows in a little detail, if any one has done that. I think OEM can be used for this but dont have any clear cut idea of doing it. Can the mappings/process flows be scheduled without using OEM console ?
    Waiting for you suggestions.
    rgds

    Hi
You can schedule your mapping and process flows with OEM or database job.
You will find script templates in the OWB HOME/owb/rtp/sql directory
    and you can scheldule them.
If you want to do it in OEM use the oem_exec_template.sql file createing an OEM job. Read the OWB documentation about it. If you have any question about it ask it, I have done this procedure many times.

  • IDOC with example and T.codes ??

    hii
Some body explain me about the scenario and steps to be followed in configuration and in front process with transaction codes .
Jus some experts can explain me about over all procedure of IDOC in SAP with transaction code (Full cycle with examples...??
In MM , exaplin me with some examples and with transaction codes ..
    Thanks

    Check these links
    [IDOC Configuration|http://sapmm.posterous.com/idoc-configuration]
    [Learn SAP u2014 IDOC basic|http://blogs.moovar.com/sap/learn-sap-idoc-basic/]
    1) What is IDOC?
IDoc means intermediate document is a standard data structure for electronic data interchange (EDI) between application programs written for the popular SAP business system or between an SAP application and an external program. IDocs serve as the vehicle for data transfer in SAP's Application Link Enabling (ALE) system.
    2) Why its is used with SAP?
IDocs are used for asynchronous transactions: each IDoc generated exists as a self-contained text file that can then be transmitted to the requesting workstation without connecting to the central database. Another SAP mechanism, the Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) is used for synchronous transactions.
    3) What its advantages & disadvantages?
    a) IDOC - Advantages :
The target system need not be always online. The IDOC would be created and would send the IDOC once the target
    system is available.
No additional programming required. Configuration is the only one need to be set up.
    b) IDOC - Disadvantages :
Receipt/Processing on the target system need not be immediate
When no standard IDOC is available, then it is very hard to create a custom IDOC when compared to creating a
    standard BAPI
Unless ALE is used, it is difficult to trace if the IDOC has actually reached the target system
    4) IDOC flow with MM :
In order to make use of the workflow for IDoc processing, you do not have to go through the cumbersome
workflow design procedure as it is described in the workflow documentation. For the mentioned purpose, you can
register the workflow handler from the menu, which says Event Coupling from the BALD transaction.
Triggering the IDoc from a workflow event has a disadvantage: if the IDoc has to be repeated for some reason, the
event cannot be repeated easily. This is due to the nature of a workflow event, which is triggered usually from a
    precedent action.

  • Work-flow documentation with example

    hi guru,
plz give me documentation of work-flow with one example
    thanks and regards
    sri.n

    Hi,
Workflow automates the steps and activities in a business process according to predefined procedures and rules.
Workflow presents information and documents to the appropriate knowledge worker or agent (another entity such as a program) to make a decision or perform an activity.
Workflow tracks each and every step in the process flow and maintains an ongoing status.
Workflow also collects and reports all of the metrics associated with the execution and completion of the process.

  • SAP B2B dashboard monitoring and it's features with examples/screenshots

    Hi All,
I'm looking for SAP B2B dashboard monitoring and it's features with examples/screenshots. Can you guys help to detail it out pls
    thx
    mike

    Hi Michael,
I have the impression that there is some misunderstanding wrt b2b monitoring in PI/PO. Let me shed some light into this.
The b2b monitoring as part of the b2b add-on and PI is actually an enhancement of the standard message monitor in PI. We have implemented a b2b view which shows you the b2b specific attributes such as sender id, ack status, interchange number, etc., instead of the PI specific information such as message GUID, sender party and component, etc. In addition, you can search the messages based on the b2b specific attributes. This works in tight integration with the Trading Partner Management (TPM) that we ship together with the b2b add-on where those partner specific attributes are maintained. You can access the b2b view either directly via the url mentioned above,.i.e., with alias /b2bmon or you can go to PI message monitoring via alias /pimon, this opens the a2a view, from here you can switch to the b2b view.
The b2b view is only available as of 7.4 SP9 and b2b add-on SP4 as mentioned in the note 1815991 - Enhanced Local Message Monitor for B2B Messages. Since you are on a lower SP, this is the reason that you cannot see it.
Whereas the local monitoring in PI gives you a status overview of your messages processed on the very PI runtime component, the Message Flow Monitor in SAP Solution Manager can be used for tracking your message from end-to-end, i.e., it provides you the status on each runtime component that the message goes through. Here, we also do support b2b scenarios. Like in the local b2b view, we show the ack status for technical and functional acks as well. Furthermore, we have built in a b2b specific search based on the TPM attributes.
I planned to write a blog on the new b2b view but haven't found the time so far, so stay tuned.

Hello. Most of the engineers in developer exchange are more familiar

  • Problem with context mapping and data flow in a FPM application

    Hi All,
I am trying to develop an ESS application using FPM. For the same, the requirement is to see the history of an employee in the second view.
The first view has got just the overview information and the second one has got the detail. So, the records or the fields are the same on both the views.
As per the FPM guidelines, the Model is residing in the Fc component and the respective Vc components are using the model data accordingly.
I am executing the model in the Fc component calling the executable method in the interfaceController of the first view and then trying to display the output data of the BAPI in the first view which provides the overview information. This is working fine.
But when i am trying to map the same output node to the Table UI for the second view, the record size is coming zero and thus no information is available.
For the above issue, I am again executing the RFC in the InterfaceController of the second view to populate the records, which is incorrect as it is already executed and the data is available for the first view.
I request you to let me know the correct approach to Context mapping and data flow when using FPM-roadmap. Is their any standard method or approach available to deal with such requirements? Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Idhaya,
I model node is available in Fc and the Fc interface controller is being used in the first Vc and the second Vc.
So the idea is, as the executable method is generated in the Fc, so i have created a custom method to call the executable method in Fc, where the input parameter is getting passed and this custom method is finally getting called is the first Vc.
So , now my first Vc is ready to call the custom method in Fc and execute the RFC. Once the RFC is executed, the nodes in the Fc should get populated which is the ideal case.
And as the Fc is used as a component in the second Vc, the same node is available to the UI elements.
But, when I check the record size for the output node, it is always zero, for the second Vc.
    Regards
    DK
