  • 8300 SIM card is full! Please delete some SMS Text Messages.

I have had my BlackBerry Curve since December of 2008. It has recently started acting up, and my main problem is that it claims the SIM card is full.

I haven't any contacts stored on my SIM. What gives?

I finally figured out how to delete SMS text messages from the SIM card.  Open a text that you sent or you received from someone.  Open the menu then "view folder" option.  All of your sent and received text messages will be stored here and can be deleted.

  • Desktop Manager incorrectly says my media card is full

As you can see from the image below, Desktop Manager reports that my media card is full but this is incorrect - the card is empty but for the 3 photos I took earlier today. I am running iTunes 9.1,  Desktop Manager 1.02 (build 8) and OS X 10.6.3.
Any suggestions on how to correct this?

    Hi there!
Here are some instructions for configuring your BB and Media Card to appear as USB drives within Windows:

The only difference might be the version of DTM to use...5.0 is the current version.

  • HT5035 credit card is full. Can gift card use insteadof my credit card?

My credit card is full spend,so I can't buy in app purchase. If I buy gift card to top up my account. Can I buy in app purchase via money that I top up instead of my credit card?

Not true cause it did not let me use my balance. It goes to my credit card. I am frustrated that they don't let us choose and give some option. I am not going to update my credit card info until they let me use my $25 iTunes card. Don't rip us off Apple!

  • San Disk Flash card will says card is full when I try to import files

Hi I'm using a quadcore G5. I'm also using a roland spd-s drum sampleing pad that takes compact flash cards. I have a reader hooked up to my computer, and I'm trying to import wav files onto the card. I Imported a few but now it's saying the card is full, when the view options obviously state that there is 286.9 MB of free space. The File I'm tring to import is only 1000 KB. I tried to restart the computer and the same thing happens. Has anyone ever run into this? Any sugestions on what might be going on?
    thank you for your time

I haven't seen this specific problem, but flash memory can be tempermental at times. I'd suggest moving everything off the flash card onto your hard drive. Then reformat the flash card with a MSDOS File System (FAT16) format using /Utilities/Disk Utility. After the drive is reformatted, try copying the files back to the flash disk.
If that doesn't work, there could be other issues at play. The file that you're trying to copy could be corrupt. The flash drive may be bad (either from the factory or it has reached the end of its read/rewrite lifespan). There could be something going on with the flash reader on the Roland box. You could borrow someone's USB flash card reader to test that.

  • N78 Sim Card Memory Full (but it isn't).

Hi, my first post here as I've been trying to find answers to an issue I'm having at the moment, so hope you can be of help.
I need to reformat my N78, so need to backup my contacts into the SIM card. When I try to mark all and copy to SIM memory but got the error message "Memory full: SIM memory" even though the card was already empty. I then went into SIM Numbers and tried to manually add each contact into the SIM memory, but could only get as far to 20 contacts out of over 120+ and be told the memory's full!
Can anyone please help solve this frustrating problem?
    Nick

    1. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data)
Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list.
    2. *#7370# - Reformat your phone
    3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working. If the phone is dead proceed with reflash if not, turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
re-flash - hold the following buttons *, 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service.
try the second code, if you want to go that route. download nokia pc suite so you can do a back up of your stuff and you can restore it once you do a reformat. how old is your sim card? sometimes its just a matter of getting an newer card that solves many issues. yes it might be something to do with your sim card being corrupt. perhaps you already have those contacts on the sim card and if you try to add even more it tells you that the memory is full. did you try saving your contacts to memory card?

  • Opening an SD card in full screen?

Does anyone know if it's possible to open an SD card with photos on it in a full screen?  Everytime I insert a SD card and double click on the card icon it opens in a small screen and I have to pull it to make it a full screen.  I'm sure anyone taking photos on an SD card goes though this.  Just wondering if there is a solution.  I called Applecare today and even though the guy was helpful he couldn't find a solution.

I'm sure anyone taking photos on an SD card goes though this.
I never use the SD card for anything but to take pictures and transfer them to my Mac. An SD card is a filing system or container. If you want to initially look at your pictures before importing them into iPhoto or any other application, simply double dlick on an image (not the card - the image) which should then open in Preview which will give you a larger display of the pic. You can also set your preferences in Preview preferences:

  • Incoming file transfer cancelled. Your built-in media storage and media card are full

There is a knowlege base KB29417 descussing the error, and it says that we have to upgrade to BBM 6.1.0.37. The problem is I have 6.1.0.49 and cannot downgrade to that version.

Try transferring your files thru FTP, maybe be mediahub is having a problem when using Windows File Transfer. You could also try a reboot of the mediahub and use the teracopy utility for transferring large files.
    Cheers.

  • Canon 6D display language resets to chinese after auto off and indicates card full

Just assembled my new 6D  with 24-105 mm and display comes in urecognizable language, after changing into english it reminds me that unused new memory card is full, so I reformat and seems ok... BUT when starting after auto off again the same unrecognizable language and full card !
I have taken battery out and put in again, reset to default, changed card, and keeps doing the same.
    Any suggestions ?

It could be the GPS in your camera IF you have been secretly kidnapped in your sleep, and placed somewhere in China, inside a cleverly detailed re-creation of your normal surroundings.  The persons responsible thought of everything BUT the GPS in your camera sensing your true location and resetting the default menu language to Mandarin.
Investigate this, but very, very carefully.

  • HT204384 why does my 16gb SDHC card reads as full, but I can't see the files

I have a SanDisk 30mb/s 16GB SDHC card used with a GoPro HD Hero. When I plug it into my card reader, it DOES show up on my desktop. When I double-click on it, I see the folders, but no files. I know the card is full, and it shows up as full when I press "command i".
How can I get these files?!?

I just wasn't sure I should put down the actual IP address.
You made the right choice, and is what I guessed was the case. But I've learned to confirm my assumptions; I've been surprised before.
Anyway, hope you get somewhere with your IT folks. If you approach them from the standpoint that you can't ping the server and avoid, at least initially, the "can't mount the server volume" issue, you may have better luck with them. If you can get them to help you to the point where you get a ping through successfully, you may find the other problems go away.
One note: it is possible that they've blocked the ability to ping their network devices, so the failure of the ping isn't completely diagnostic. But it's certainly a symptom to bring up with them; if they are blocking ping, they should tell you that.
    Good luck.

  • SD card "full" - not it's not.  Help!

I'm copying photos to a SD card to use in a digital frame. However, after I copy the first 80 or so photos, when I try to copy the next bunch, I get a message saying the card is full, but it's not even close to full (over 90% empty).
I've tried two different card readers, SanDisk and Sony, two different cards, a Kodak 1GB and a new Kingston 2 GB, and still the same problem. And I've formatted them on my Mac and on a Canon digital camera, all with the same result.
This is very frustrating... any ideas on how to fix this?

For those interested, I figured out a work-around that fixed the problem.
I used the "Process Multiple Files" feature in Photoshop Elements to rename the 150 or so photos. I renamed them using sequential numbers (1,2,3 etc.) and also had the "convert to high quality JPEG" checked off. I did this figuring that this would take the photo names and types out of the equation. Apparently I was right, as they all seamlessly now copied to the SD card. I'm not sure whether it was the naming or the conversion to HQ jpeg that did it, but the problem is now solved.

  • Problem with 5300 and 2 GB memory card

    Hi,
I just bought 5300 phone and 2 gb micro sd card, sandisk.
And I am now storing music files to the card via usb connection and phone is shown to pc as a disk.
It transfers 990 MB of music and after that is says card is full.
From gallery it shows memory card as 2 gb card, and full status is 990 MB, free fine also. I tried transfer also with music manager same result. Like the 1 gb is the limit somehow.
    Is it ?

I also have problems with my new Kingston 2GB micro SD card on Nokia 5300. However quite different. I uploaded appr. 1.5 GB music and it worked fine. Then I switched the phone off. When I tried to switch it on again the screen started to flash and after 15 sec the phone switched off itself. It took for a while till I discovered that the problem somehow relates to the memory card. When it was removed the phone worked fine (no flashing, no switch off). I reformatted the memory card and everything worked fine till the next switch off. Then it started again. I updated the software (V 04.70), but it didn't help. I'm not 100% sure but it seems to me that the problem relates to the music player which tries to update the music library after the switch off and somehow it freezes the phone.
Any idea how to solve this?
    In short because I don't have a 5300 - No ...
However - something to try is to see if your card works without problems on a PC (via USB card reader) or laptop (some have memory card slots built in)
Lastly on Nokia's 5300 webpage it states that they only recommend using authorised cards ... it might be worth seeing if you experience the same issue with Nokia's own 2Gb microSD card ?
