SD card not being recognized - DROID Charge

This error has happened to me too.  Has anyone got a definitive answer as to whether this is a phone ("Charge") issue?   My memory card just stopped working.   When I pull it, use an adapter, and stick it into my laptop I can read it fine.  I've backed up everything on it.   However, if I put it back in it doesn't work.   I've pulled the battery.   It still doesn't work.   I reset my device back to factory settings ("Grrr.. because I lost a lot of apps and customizations"), and it still doesn't recognize the card.   I went out and bought a brand new sd card (SanDisk Ultra 32 GB MicroSDHC Class 10 UHS-1) and it still doesn't recognize the new one.
Does anyone have any other options instead of having to buy a new phone?   I like the Samsung Charge, but so many of the apps I use weekly, if not daily, require a memory card even to work.

  • SD Card not being recognized by ZTE Open (Firefox OS 1.0)

The SD card is not being recognized by my ZTE Open (Firefox OS version 1.0). I tried taking it out, putting it back in and it still does not work. The SD card is brand new and works in all other devices. I only got the phone and the SD card today so I don't know if it is a hardware issue or if it is a issue with Firefox OS 1.0.

    Hello,
After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.
#Take the back cover of the phone off.
    #Take the battery out.
#Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
    #Wait 10 seconds.
#Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
    #Put the battery back in.
#Put the back cover back on.
    #Turn the device on.
#Check if the issue you were having is still present.
Please report back to us if this solved your problem!
    Thank you

  • ESATA PCI Express card not being recognized

I have a Macbook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz and I'm having trouble getting an eSATA PCI Express card to be recognized in either MAS OS X (10.5.6) or Win XP SP3.
When I plug a FireWire PCI Express card into the slot with a drive attached it gets recognized right away but the eSATA doesn't.
I can go into the system profiler when the card is plugged in and MAC OS X sees the card but the drive doesn't get mounted, or there is no prompt for me to initialize the drive (if it's a new, non-formatted drive). I've tried installing the driver that comes with the eSATA card with no change.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try?

    Hi,
Typically, this type of issue is caused by an incompatible enclosure or a card problem.
Please provide a link to the card and the enclosure for additional help. If you need an ExprressCard/enclosure combination that works I would suggest FirmTek.

  • IPod not being recognized, will charge but wont sync

i have no idea whats wrong. it was working fine until one night my computer froze and my iPod was connected. my iPod became "corrupted" i fixed it by reseting it (menu and selct button) but now whenever i plug it in it says connected for a few seconds and then its ejecting and i dont have a chance to do anything. its still charging, so i can charge it but cant sync it. this is my ONLY problem and im thinking about getting a new one since none of my friends that have it seem to have the same problem and it'r probably messed up from being corrupted, but is there any suggestions to fixing it? or should i just go get a new one? im using Vista and iTunes 8.

i solved this problem, and if anyone else has it and has vista here's what to do:
    go to safely remove hardware
select Apple device or iPod and click properties
    and click enable
if it wont let you click enable click change properties

  • Micro SD card not being recognized

I've installed a new MicroSD card into my Nokia Lumia 822. I turned on my phone and it doesn't recognize it. So I take it out and put the SD card into my computer and format it to NTFS and return it to the phone. The phone says something like, "This SD card is not in the correct format to be used. To format do Steps 1 and 2" Ok! I have the phone format it and when it's done, it doesn't see the card. To further troubleshoot, I took the SD card out of my old smartphone and install it into the Lumia 822 and it doesn't recognize it.
    Anyone else having this problem?
    Or
Anyone know the solution? Or is the solution to have them replace the phone?
    Burningham

So, what worked, but was a lot of wasted time?
    - You removed any microSD card from the phone, then tested all three computers and all three computers will see the 822's on-board/internal memory storage and you can transfer files from any of the computers to the phones' built in storage.
    - Second:  Then you put a microSD card in the computer while connected to the phone, and then you can move the files from the phones built-in storage to the microSD card.  (Deleting them from the internal storage on the phone?)
    - Third: Then when you put the microSD card back into the phone, and the phone does access the microSD card and reads the files.
Is this what works for you?  Did I write it correctly?  Are you sure the files you are reading are on the microSD card and not just the ones in the internal memory?  Did this work with all the cards, newly formated and not?
    Thanks for the information.
    Is Verizon addressing this?

  • SD card not being recognized

How do you I get my Tungsten E2 to recognize an SD card?  I have tried it with a standard SD card but it still says there is no card in the slot. What do I do?

  • Media card not being recognized by Media Sync / Dekstop Manager or Windows

I hope someone can help me with this.
I've got a Bold 9000 running OS 5.0.0.411 (the Vodaphone offiical release, not the Bell one).  I'm on Rogers though.
I have an 8GB Sandisk card in it which the phone reads fine.
However, Media Sync, Desktop Manager, and Windows 7 64-bit wont read it.
I've done the following to try and fix this:
    - Mass Storage Mode Support is "on", doesn't help
    - tried reformatting the media card through the phone, doesn't help.
    - tried reformatting the media card through Windows, doesn't help.
    - tried uninstalling Desktop Manager and just installing the USB drivers, doesn't help.
    - tried re-installing Desktop Manager, doesn't help
    - tried updating the "RIM Blackberry SD USB Device" driver, no change as Windows says it has installed the right version.
    - tried both versions of Media Sync (older and just released version), doesn't help.
    - tried another SD card, doesn't help.
    - under Computer Management > Disk Management, the SD card shows up, but with no drive letter assignment.  If I try to assign one, it doesn't work.  Basically if I check anything but "Properties", it tells me there is no drive there.
Does anyone have a suggestion to fix this or should I reload the older OS?  Admittedly, I don't know if even that will help because the last time I ran Media Sync on my phone was when I was running Vista so maybe it is not the phone but a Windows issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Been searching for the last two days and can't seem to find an answer.
    Cheers.
    BB-past: 9000>9700>9800>9780>9810>9900>Z10>Q5

    Me too:
    BB Pearl 8120 (OS 4.5.0.124)
    Windows7 Pro 32bit
    BB Desktop Mgr. 5.0.1
Reading/accessing the media card via USB always worked fine in XP, and still works fine in Ubuntu Linux (I could never get Bluetooth to do it at all). With the Windows7 upgrade, suddenly Windows can detect but not read the card. It's detected as a removable disk in Explorer, but when you try to open/browse it, Windows throws up a dialog that says "Please insert a disk into removable disk (F."
The phone sees it just fine, XP sees it just fine, Ubuntu sees it just fine. It's more likely to be a Microsoft problem than a RIM problem, but it's still friggin' annoying. Does anyone know a workaround for this? The Desktop Manager software won't run under WINE for me.

  • AirPort Extreme Card not being recognized

I installed an AirPort Extreme Card into my powerbook G4 15" laptop. I also installed the software from the CD that came with the card. Everything went just like the instructions set out. When I start my computer and go into the system profiler it doesn't show that I have an airport card installed. Also if I launch the AirPort Setup Assistant it claims I have no card installed.
How can I determine the card is installed correctly and working?

Which PowerBook G4 do you have?
Some PowerBook G4s require the original AirPort card.
Others require the AirPort Extreme card.

  • SD Card not being recognized by macbook air. what do i do?

I have a Nikon D5100 and i was taking some photos and videos outside. so like any other person, i put in the sd card into the slot, but it doesn't recongnize the sd card! this is really annoying me. also, the camera-to-computer usb isn't working either! it was just working last week so what's the problem?

Another thing that might help is to open the Image Capture app.
It is in your Applications folder.  You might try opening the app yourself, then inserting the SD card.

  • My Iphone 3gS is not being recognized in Itunes on my laptop. It is charging so the USB port is working properly. My wifes Iphone IS being recognized by the same laptop. My Iphone IS being recognized by the desktop computer and another laptop

My Iphone is not being recognized in Itunes on my laptop. It is charging, so the USB port is working. My Iphone does work on another Laptop in the house and My wifes Iphone is being recognized on the same laptop that mine is not. Any suggestions?

The key bit of information here is that one iPhone works on the computer in question and another does not. So it is unlikely that AMDS is not running or there is a driver problem; if either of these was the problem neither phone would be recognized in iTunes.
Unfortunately, I don't have an answer either. Except to verify that both iPhones (the one that works and the one that doesn't) use the same cable and the same USB port.
Also, are the two iPhones the same model and same iOS version?

  • My iPad is not being recognized by the computer, therefore, cannot sync.  It charges when plugged to the wall, but not when pugged to iMac.

My iPad is not being recognized by the computer, therefore, cannot sync.  It charges when plugged to the wall, but not when pugged to iMac.

Most common culprits include the cable. Try swapping it out for a different one.. or not having the most recent version of itunes. I once even solved this problem by shutting down the computer for 2 minutes. (the longer the better), with the ipad plugged in. starting it up... then itunes recognizes it, launches, and syncs.
Apple has a troubleshooting assistant on this topic:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/itunes/
It will advise you to reboot. I recommend shutting down instead.

P.S The ipad should charge when asleep and plugged into your Mac. The charging behavior is normal. There isn't enough power out the USB ports to charge the ipad while it is on on some older Macs and nearly all PCs.

  • My Nano is not being recognized by itune or charging

Someone please help my Nano is not being recognized when i plug in. Itunes or is not charging. I cannot sync or anything,

    Hi,
I just bought my 2nd gen ipod 2 GB nano from someone who won it in a raffle. I plugged it into my computer and asked it to sync my songs. It immediately synced all 520 songs and startted charging. It says "do not disconnect". It has been charging for almost 24 hours now, and still says "do not disconnect". How long does the first charge take? Is something wrong?

  • IPod not being recognized by computer or charger

Well i have a white 60GB ipod video. Never had any problems till last night. When i plugged my usb cable with wall adapter to charge it while i was listening to music, the ipod would not recognize the cable, and said some kind of error like "Unable to recognize firewire component" BUT the USB cable was plugged in, and i do not have firewire. I checked the power adapter, it was USB.
Now my ipod will not be recognized to charge by the power wall charger or the computer itself. Only thing i can think of is the cable itself has a problem but wnated to check with u guys first.
I put ipod in disk mode, and that did not solve anything, still unable to be recognized with cable plugged in. Any ideas?

    See the not-charging topic of:
    iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
    Have you tried another cable?
Another charging source? Does iTunes see the iPod when you connect to your computer?
Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, foreign material and cracked or broken plastic.
BTW, there is not 5G iPod touch. The current one is still the 4G iPod touch

just hold down the “-” button and the power button. when it says “ok to disconnect” hold down the powerbutton and the “-” button again.
