Sd card not reading

at first my computer stoped reading the card. then it started reading it again but it keeps saying their is no new pictures in my card but on my camera their shows my pictuers. i had to get my computer fixed due to it having a virus but before this my computer wouldnt have this problem and would ready my card just fine. what can i do to fix it?

Memmory card not reading through USB cable while ...

Hi,am using Xpressmusic 5130.When i connect it to PC using USB cabe and selecting Data Storage option,it is showing 'Memmory card in use by another application,Please wait'.And i didnt find any appln using memmory card at that time.Bui i could trnsfer mp3's and images using 'printig and media ' option.I'm currently using a 1gb memmory card and its about 800mb now.

Loose Thunderbolt connections and SD cards not reading

I will give it a try to see if someone can assist me. I am having some issuew with my MacBook Pro 15 Retina laptoop. The thunderbolt connections seem to be very loose and one slight movment or pull on the cable disconetcts what ever is conncected. Here some examples. The thunderbolt ethernet connector keeps disconection with just a slight wiggle on the port. My hard drive ejects by it self ( which is a pain as you loose a lot of work and the drive corrupts eventulally) and one other issue I had was when doing a live broadcast the video feed from my Blackmagic box got interrupted all the time. So my questions is there anyway to tighten the connectors so they are as tight in the computer as they are for example on my GDrive. Also my SD card reader is not reading any cards anymore.
I have to say and I hope a apple technicain is reading that that i am not to impressed with the quality of this particual model. even so I dished out over US$4,000 for everying. After about 6 weeks i had pixles dropping out on my display right now i have about 15 dead pixels ( already contacted apple support but i have to sent it in but right now can not afford being without a computer is my bread and butter and can not affored a second one luckily i have the protection plan and hope i find the time to sent it in.
Now the issuew with the thunderbolt is very annoying sorry Apple for that price conectors should be fitting nice and snug and not loose like they do now.
I love the perfromance and the display ( besides the dead pixles) but hope apple will improve and bring out a better machine and will look at all the details
so hope someone has some idea how to get a better fit with the thunderbot

Hi, I had the same problem. Soo loose that I was incapable of using an external monitor or disk.
So I designed a gadget to secure both the Thunderbolt and MagSafe 2 connectors together, effectively providing the strength of the MagSafe magnet to the Thunderbolt connector

- remove the entry from device manager
- after reboot put first the SD card in the slot and please before you install the driver read the readme file. You can find it on your tools CD or if you download SD memory card driver from Toshiba download page
There is described the right installations procedure.

MicroSD Card not reading after upgrade to Windows 10

I am using a 64GB SDXC card in my Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2-1051-F, with Windows 8.1. I formatted the card to NTFS. Everything was working fine, but now that I have upgraded to Windows 10, the only problem seems to be the card is not recognized any longer. The "SD" logo shows up in the "This PC" window, but when I try to click on it (left or right), it hangs and then after quite a while it asks me to insert a card. I have installed all the driver updates from the Lenovo support site (no downloads specific to the card reader). No change. I even downloaded a driver file from Realtek and ran it - maybe a mistake, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything at all. I don't seem to be able to find any information regarding the drivers for the reader or reinstalling them. Thanks for any suggestions! BTW, the card still reads fine when I put it in a slot on another machine.

I have the exact same problem using a Transcend 64GB SDXC card and Lenovo 1051F.The card worked before upgrading and works in other computers/readers. It sounds like your phone is broken. And now that you have had a non-Apple shop open it Apple won't help you.

The phone was originally locked to AT&T in the US and was hacked to allow it to be used on another network. Restoring the phone has re-locked it to AT&T.
AT&T does NOT unlock iPhones for any reason. You can't use that phone except on AT&T.

Unfortunately, the SD card reader uses the common Microsoft Windows drivers and you will not find this on the Toshiba site. I have read some postings about the integrated SD card reader and it seems that older notebooks are not able to handle a bigger SD cards.
In such cases I would really recommend to buy a simple extended USB card reader. Such devices are not expensive and Im sure that this device should be compatible with 2GB SD cards.

I have a Kingston MicroSD card w/adapter that I pop into a USB card reader (which reads several other SD cards with no prob), and it just won't work on my Arch box. Here's the output when it's plugged in:

It's not listed in fdisk -l, just my sda through sdd drives as usual. I looked in /dev and found (from the dmesg output) the sde through sdh, and I tried mounting each one to /media/test, and I got this:

I'm guessing my SD card is /dev/sde, but what do I do about the "is not a valid block device" ?? This card works fine in Windows 7.

If card does not work in camera either, it may be faulty.
If card works in camera, format it with Ma's Disk Utility and see it if then works with Mac. If so, check in camera to see if the camera can use the Mac formatted version.
To see if you have a Mac problem, try other cards in your Mac or try the non-working card in a known-good Mac.

I bought a PNY StorEDGE 64gb sd card to have removeable storage but my Mac book pro wont read it. My Macbook is only 3 months old.

Similar problem here. I get the same screen on my Imac saying its in an unreadable format. It works fine on my mac air, but i cant use it on my Imac. I was hoping to use this as a means of transferring data once I get home and can avoid the Air.

Hi David. I don't have as modern a Macbook Pro as you, mine is a 2012 model, but perhaps I can help. I often find that my SD card will not load when I first insert it. I have to remove it and then put it into the slot again firmly.
You also haven't posted any information about the SD card. What size is it, do you know how it is formatted, has it worked in that same mac previously, where did it come from, does it currently work in another device (such as your camera)? This sort of information will help to narrow down the problem.
If you post some more information I'm sure people will try to help you. In the meantime, if you look at your post again you should see "More Like This" at the bottom of the page and you may find an answer in some of those related posts.

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

Not reading camera card

I put my camera card in my macbook and it isn't even showing up on the desktop. My friend with me has the same computer and hers opened it and registered it right away.

Remove it and reinsert it is what I do and it will usually pop up. If not go into disk utility and see if anything pops up and whether you can mount it or not.

BB Curve 9220 not reading the memory card

I have a Blackberry Curve 9220

1 week ago I was using this phone and that time i didnt have a memory card in this device. I opened wechat and it showed either to insert memory card or to disable usb mass storage in this device. I didnt have a memory card that time, so, i tried todisable the usb mass storage and I did that.
Today, I inserted a memory card in this device, it shows that "Media Card is presently not inserted in this device"
When I searched the internet I got some solutions. They showed that to enable mass storage mode and check media card support on.
I turned Media Support set to ON.
I have made sure that the media card is formatted and inserted properly.
BUT
When i pressed the option (BB Logo key) button , it didnt show the option to enable usb mass storage. It just showed these options : "Switch app" ,"Select Text" , "Save" , "Help" , "Close".
There is no option to enable usb mass storage and it is not reading the memory card
Please tell me what to do !

If you connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer using a USB cable but does not appear as a drive on your computer, you may need to activate the USB mass storage.
On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
Click Device> Storage.
Press  > Enable USB mass storage.
If necessary, type the password for the smartphone.
Your smartphone appears as a drive on your computer.
To disable USB mass storage mode, press  > Disconnect.
