if a hand-written document / paper is sent to somebody through email, in pdf format, is it possible that the receiver can just read it & can't copy or print it ??? ... Implicitly, i want to know about foolproof security of a soft copy.

But basically with Acrobat you can (in the document Properties | Security) disallow printing, copying, etc.

  • Purchase Order Soft copy

    Dear all,
I am working as a technical consultant in a reputed company. Now my client requirement is whenever we approve PO there will be check box Email. If we click on email button then PO soft copy will be sent to the client. But instead of the default copy they want to send a purchase order report (.rdf) through mail. Can anyone suggest me how it is possible.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    siri

We had achieved it using a custom mailing program running on schedule which had folowing logic
    1) Find out the request id of the Purchase order Report concurrenet program
    2) Insert the request id in a marking table so that same po will not be mailed againa and again
    3) pick up output of purchase order reports stored in $APPLCSF/out with the help of request id
    4) use generic mailing program , which we had written in unix (you can write in pl sql) also to take this file as an attachment and mail it

  • Broken Link between Base and Target document in 'Copy To' option

    Hi Folks,
One of our client has been facing a peculiar issue. When the 'Copy To'  function is used to Copy document from Sales Order to Delivery and recently one instance of 'Copy To' from Delivery to A/R Invoice ,the base document got copied to the target document in each case but there was no trace of any Base Ref. left in the Target document( either in row level or Remarks), thereby the link between the Base and Target document got broken. The Base document remains with status as open. The same base document when tried again to 'Copy To', it creates the link between Base and new Target document.
This instance had occurred recently 3- 4 times in a span of 3 months or so. In normal circumstance this never happens. The client is pretty sure they have used 'Copy To' option to copy the document from Base to Target.
Any hints or possible reasons if one can highlight would be appreciable.
The current version used is SAP B1 8.82 PL11 and it was upgraded more than a year back.
    Regards,
    Bharath

    Hi,
All the data in Sales Order and Delivery are matching one to one in terms of row details,
    and Document header level.
The missing data was Base Ref. data and Del.Date didn't get copied from base to target as shown in screen shot.
Also i have checked it earlier regarding change of target document row details like changing item, but this will only remove the link of that particular row and remaining row link remains intact, but in this case there are many items and it doesn't seem user will have changed in all the rows.

  • HELP!  I saved a document.  Copied the document.  Went to delete some extra characters.  Accidentally deleted the entire document.  Now I can't find my document.  When I open the saved document, the page is blank.  Does Pages save copied text anywhere?

I saved a document.  Copied the document.  Went to delete some extra characters and accidentally deleted the text of the entire document.  I did not save a blank page.  I cannot recover the lost text.  Please Help.  I'm NEW to Pages.

    Hi Jan,
Copied text (or other copied material) is on the Clipboard, but only until you copy something else or log out of your account. If you act before doing another copy, you can paste the copied material back into the document. If you don't act right away, you may still have a path back.
One of the most useful keystroke combinations on the Mac is the "Oops! key," as a friend of mine once named it. That's command-Z, also known as "Undo". In some applications it will let you undo only a single step, but in others, including Pages, you can do repeated undos, so it's not quite so essential that you act immediately on making an error. Undo, done via the Oops! key, or via the Edit menu takes you back one change at a time. You can't skip any steps, so to get back to the state before the accidental deletion, you'll have to undo any work you've done since then. The memory of what to Undo disappears when you close the document or quit the application.
At that point you're at the mercy of your backup plan. If you've had Time Machine running, you'll be able to enter Time Machine and go back to an earlier, saved version of the file.
All these are in addition to the steps Ian suggested above.
    Regards,
    Barry
PS: Best piece of advice I can give a new Pages user (beyond Backup early and often) is to download and read through the first few chapters of the Pages '09 User Guide, available through the Help menu in Pages '09. Mostly pretty easy reading, and will get you through the basics without much trouble.

Horizontal lines are coming while scanning the documents or copying the document from fedder as well as glass

    Hi there @Aziz_Husain,
    Welcome to the HP Community!
I understand you are noticing horizontal lines when you make copies and scans, and I hope to help you.
Here are some steps I suggest that you try:
    Reset the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Tip: Make sure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power.
Try all of the steps from this article: HP Officejet Pro 8500A (A910a and A910d) e-All-in-One Printers - Vertical Bands, Lines, or Streaks i...
Test a copy and test a scan now. If they still have lines through them, please contact us directly to inquire about your printer replacement options as you would need a new unit at this point.
